Problems with hyperlink when converting .docx to .pdf using Word 2010

I have a Word 2010 .docx document that has a link to a web site in it. The link works fine in Word, but does not work after the conversion to PDF. I am using the Acrobat add on in Word to create the PDF.
There is a pound sign ( # ) in the Word doc hyperlink and it is being changed to a percent sign ( % ) during the conversion to PDF. Any suggestions?

I will report the bug. I had read about some other problems with .docx files so I saved the .docx to .doc and then converted but I got the same results.

Hello, i use the online pdf creator. I have a document that is in microsoft publisher (originally from word) and when i convert it to PDF only a few of the links actually work, the majority of the links are just underlined words with no hyperlink. Also i have anchor tags that go from the table of contents to the actual page and none of them work.
I checked the Enable Tagged PDF Generation and still nothing, anyone have any ideas?

I just wanted to add that I tried an actual Microsoft Word 2003 version document in the Create Adobe PDF Online and set the tagged links so the hyperlinks and table of contents bookmark references would carry through to my 'e.book' file, however, I feel like the underdog here, as I didn't even get a PDF file, I received an error about the printer timeout exceeding the 10 minutes. I'm not sure why it took so long to lock up (or whatever it was doing) as I have no pdf for review. I decided to try the Post Script functionality, and found no help there as of yet, as the instructions on the Create Adobe PDF Online site do indicate where to find the Windows Drivers, the rest of the Adobe Download site area seems to not offer the same and the drivers are not to be found! I must admit that I am also lost as to why there were some informational bits to add the PDF printer to your pc, but only for those with winxp, and 2000. I have a pc with vista, does this site not support any of vista? (I also have XP laptop & desktop, but they both have Adobe acrobat -- 5.0 & 7.0)
(i know -- why am I using this online version? Well, simply, the 5.0, nor the 7.0 would finish conversion of this simple word document with tables in it. I've never had a problem before, and don't know what changed to make this complication, however, it seems to be getting no better.
So -- be happy you are on the PDF file-receiving end of the Links issue -- it could be a lot worse!
Maybe before I have to upgrade again, I'll find someone else who has experienced such a bizarre thing, and can get my document out where it needed to be 3 weeks prior to now!
Anyone have any ideas that might help this poor, confused person who is at wits end without some expert finger pointing?? I'll take any suggestions at this point!

give it time to boot. the time depends on yr memory size n data. soon a process bar will appear indicating the boot process. if still this doesnt work. try formating the phone. but this ways u lose all data on the phone (unless u backed it). relax! the data on the memory card is safe.

Convert list item attachment from docx to pdf using Word Automation Services

I have been trying to convert List Item attachments from docx to pdf using word automation services, it works in a normal document library but when I use the list attachment it throws a null reference error.

According to your description, my understanding is that when you use word automation service to convert Word to PDF for list item attachment, it throws the null reference error.
I suggest you can create an event receiver and convert the word to memory stream like below:

Page Size when converting .docx to pdf

I am having an issue converting .docx to pdf. I am using a custom page size in word 2007 and saving it, but when i convert to pdf it uses the default 8"/11" format. I have seen it done, but can't get it to work consistently. I am using acrobat 8 pro. Can anyone help?

What OS? Have you tried to make a custom page size for the Acrobat PDF printer drive?

Acrobat 11 Pro - problem with right-click "Convert to Adobe PDF" output folder

I'm migrating from one machine running Windows XP Pro with Acrobat 8 Pro to Windows 7 Pro with Acrobat 11 Pro.
On the XP machine, when I right-click on a document and select "convert to Adobe PDF" the process works just fine - it always outputs the file to the target destination I have set in the Adobe PDF printer definition.
On the Windows 7 Pro/Acrobat 11 Pro machine, the exact same settings are ignored: the PDF will always end up in the same folder as the source file.
Both the source folder and the destination folder are on one of my office's networked drives.
Under the Printing Preferences, I have the output folder address set the same on both machines, so it *should* go to the right location on the new machine.
Oddly enough, on the Acrobat 11 Pro machine, if I select Adobe PDF as the default printer and do a test print, it *does* print to the correct folder!
This has got me stumped!

If Adobe PDF is selected as the default printer, I *can* select a bunch of documents, right-click, select "print", and Word will open up, and they'll print to the correct target folder.
So, it's "just" the right-click "Convert to Adobe PDF" that doesn't work correctly.

The reinstall is typically the last ditch effort to do. The first step is Help>Repair and Help>Updates. As far as Office 2013, the PDF Maker of AA X is not compatible and you can only print. In your list of errors it showed a problem with AcroTray.exe. As a first step, go to the print and select print-to-file. The file will be a PS file (maybe with a PRN extension). Once the printer if finished, open the file in Distiller to complete the process. If that is successful, then the problem is with AcroTray. Check your running tasks to be sure AcroTray is indeed running. If not, that is likely the problem. If it is, then restart it (it is located in the Acrobat folder). AcroTray provides the interface between the PS creation and Distiller to automate the process of creating the PDF.

Random bold text appears when converting docx to pdf

I'm having a strange issue. When converting a .docx file to .pdf, Acrobat randomly makes words bold. In some instance an entire sentence becomes bold. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

However, by moving some tabs and margins within the word document, Acrobat suddenly recognized all the characters. Very strange!

And we find that when we print the html in Adobe Acrobat 9.x , it works very well .

Problems with Hyperlinks when exporting to EPUB

I've been trying to export a CS5 indd to Epub (using corEpub script -http://www.teusdejong.nl/indesign/-), but there seems to be some kind of conflict with Hyperlinks (there's 6000 of them): when they are near to a footnote reference, the text of hyperlinks (and some text surrounding it, don't know the criteria) just disappear and the reference doesn't work. Any ideas about what could be happening?

I just came across this same problem -- similar but not exactly the same.
Text in a table does not print properly when text is superscripted.
This is a problem since we have a French invoice that has a fair bit of superscript. I tried to work around by decreasing the font size and increasing the baseline, but this did not work.
I'm using Pages 5.1 and Mavericks.
Anyone have any ideas????

(You can check by logging in to www.adobe.com and checking under My Subscriptions and Services). Aside from that, I'll need a little more info to get to the bottom of your problem.
Are you trying to convert the file from within Reader, or directly via the ExportPDF website?
What operating system and browser are you using?
How large is the file that you're trying to convert? (There's a file-size limit of 100 MB.)
Is the computer that you're using networked?
Do other files convert without error?

I use reporting service from Sql Server 2008 R2 and I have a problem when I export in Acrobat(PDF) format. All the 'ș' and 'ț' are after export in pdf just a square.

SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services supports Adobe Acrobat 6 or later. So, please make sure your current Acrobat version meets the requirement.
Besides, the font in the PDF format may be different with that in the HTML rendering extension because GDI font substitution in those formats behaves differently. If there is a font missing on the client, you might see characters replaced with boxes (□).

Problems with ML when trying to get online using a manual IP

Hi there!
We discovered this today:
We had to install 2 mac minis at a customer. One of them is a Mini Server. The "normal" one got into the companys Ethernet Network using DHCP. This one worked nearly flawless (except for the usual ML bugs).
But the Server-Mini had to have a static IP. In the Network Pref Pane in the "Configure IPv4" i chose "Manually" and put in all the numbers the companys IT-Guys gave me.
There the problems began: I wasnt able to get this Mini online! Some sort of afp-connection from the other Mini was possible but very slow (i think this connection worked directly).
The IP-Guy i was workin with had no clue what is wrong so was i.
So far so good - we decided to do some research (this one here is one of my attempts...).
At home i took my good 'ol 3.1 8-core Mac Pro (which really likes ML ) and did nothing other than change my Macs Network setting from "DHCP" to "Manually" typing in the same numbers (and trying many more numbers afterwards) it got from the Router using DHCP.
Guess what happend...
Yepp - Network connection got dead!!
Doing the same thing with my wifes MacBook Pro (10.6.8), my Mac Mini (10.6.8) my Doughters iMac (PPC 10.4) and my others doughters PowerBook G4 (10.5.8) showed nothing. Network simply went on - no disconnect!
So what is wrong? I cant believe Apple isnt able to handle such a basic thing like fixed IP-Numbers!

Hi again!
Combination with Manual IP and open DNS Servers works with my Mac Pro.
But there at this company they have their own DNS-Servers. That is where ML doesnt work. But old Leopard and SL.
Maybe Apple simply forgot that there are still some closed environments out there...
