CONTEXT
I’ve been working my project with Jdev11.1.1.1, when I migrate to JDev 11.1.1.2. I realized that my project didn’t compile successfully as before besides I couldn’t see the design view in a WYSIWYG mode on my JSF pages.
I had installed (initially) in C:\oracle\Middleware Jdev 11.1.1.1 with WLS 10.3 (default in Installer)
A couple days ago I realized about the new Jdev release JDev 11.1.1.2 and I decided to migrate because of the IDE improvements such as Bugs Solutions, Maven support, code templates, etc).
The new version seemed to be non-compatible with WLS 10.3 because I couldn’t mount it in the same middleware so I installed the new one in C:\oracle\Middleware11g2, JDev 11.1.1.2 with WLS 10.3.1 (default in Installer).
EXAMPLE
I have created a new sample Project named JDev112App, it only has 1 java class, 1 ADF template and 1 JSPx to show the errors and differences between releases of the IDE… However, I also have added the screenshots of the Project in each IDE, also I have included a screenshot of my real project (Business App).
NOTE. Business APP project is under subversion SVN and the migration was done successfully when JDEv 11.1.1.2 opened it (it migrated automatically).
What should I do?? .. thanks

I think that the problem could be preferences/settings migration from Jdev 11.1.1.1.0 to JDev 11.1.1.2.0, because I migrated not only the application but also the JDev preferences ( "Documents&Settings...Jdeveloper..." ).
I have installed in a new machine without previous version of Jdev the new release JDev 11.1.1.2.0 and when I deploy my test application with errors ( showed in this post ), it works fine and also the design view is correct.
I am not SURE but I think the bug or problem could be also the preference/settings migration between JdeveloperS.
Can anybody tell me the real reason?? How can I fix it ... I don’t want to import each of my settings manually in JDev 11.1.1.2.0 ( I mean templates, javadocs settings, connections, repositories, etc).

Problem with Oracle Designer 10

Hi,
I have a problem with Oracle Designer 10 version 9.0.4.7 installed in Windows 2000 platform.
I don't know if the origin of the problem is at the server side or client side. I try to launch the repository reports but it doesn't work. The screen never appear. I have to finish the client process but the oracle session remmains:

Problem with chart design

I am experiencing a problem with the output of a line chart that I am creating in APEX. Its labels (X-axis) are dates, but they do not seem to fit entirely into the lenght of the x-axis (all the ones that I have ordered in the sql expression). Also, I needed to place these dates in a vertical position, for which I cannot find any parameter. The sql is as follows:

Hi Frank,
I'm creating some SEM Management Cockpit, the problem I faced is not the BEx Query itself, but the pie chart design and display. I have processed my data in advance, so there a only 5 values in my query at a time, and these area values are not constant values. If I don't mark a selection criteria, it will display a full pie in Management Cockpit.
And if I browse the query in IE directory, I can get a desired pie chart by "Swap Axes", so I think maybe there is a same choose in Management Cockpit.

Problems with Adobe Designer

Hello,
I am running NW04s SP09 with Adobe Lifecycle designer 7.1. When i use the script editor and hit an arrowkey once on my keyboard the cursor will move <b>2</b> places instead of 1????
When you run the designer standalone you don't have this problem.
Does somebody recognize this problem? If so is there a solution?

I remember having the same issue with GUI 7.10 and Designer 7.1.
Recently we've updated our ADS to SP14 and downloaded and installed Designer 8.0 from http://service.sap.com/installations.
Be attentive patching ADS to SP14 is prerequisite to using Adobe LCD 8.0!!!
Just checked - there's no problem with double movement of the cursor in script editor, so maybe this issue was corrected in new version.
Still while I don't know what was int the root of the problem, can't say for sure that we corrected it with Designer 8.0.

Printing problems with CS3 Design Premium

I have had no problems with my copy of CS3 Design Premium running first on my Mac OS 10.6 and now on OS 10.7 and the program still runs will except when I do a Command P, the program quits. I do not even get to the printer page. I sometimes get a message when reopening the program, "Cannot handle the request because a modal dialog or alert is active." Anyone else have this kind of problem?

Problems with css-designer Panel

can't display CSS selectors/properties - just gives me an empty grey area. When I click in this gray area, dreamweaver crashes.

very strange - I installed Illustrator CC and then I had no more problems with Dreamweaver! No more crashes when close or create files and no more problems with the CSS designer. Error messages during create fluid grid layouts are also gone ...

Problem With Code/Design View Buttons

(My bad...perhaps a more clear title will help...)
OK, I am working with DW CS4 v.10.0 Build 4117 on a Win XP Pro SP3 platform.
When working with my site files, they open in Code view. The Split and Design buttons are grayed out. When I click on the Layout button, the checkmark is sometimes next to the Code option, but sometimes next to the Design option (even though the page is clearly displayed only in Code view!).
In order to view the file in Design view or Split view, I have to click the Layout button, Click on Code, click on the Layout button again, click on Design or Split View and then it will show the page file in that manner.
This is SO frustrating! Is this a bug in CS4? (I scanned through the other topics and can't seem to find anything about this.) I don't remember having this problem with CS3 and have spoken with other DW CS3 users who also say they have never had this happen.
What can I do?

Problem with CSS Designer in the Panels

I have just joined Creative Cloud, I have downloaded the newest apps. In Dreamwever I cannot see the CSS Designer in the panels. After a few ours of looking for solution for this problem (all throw Internet inclusive this Forum), I have to ask you dear helpers to help me.
So, where I can find CSS Designer in the Panels? It is not on the right side, it is nowhere.

Problems with App Design Transformer in Designer 9i

I've run into 2 problems using the ADT in Designer on Windows 2000. I've got 9i Developer Suite version 9.0.2.0.0 installed with no patches. Designer version is 9.0.2.80.10. Version control is not enabled.
1. Inside the RON, when I select a Business Function then Utilities->Designer->Application Design Transformer, I get a message "There is no selected workarea." From that point on, when I click on some other item (function, entity, etc.) I get "ORA-01008: Not all variables bound." It seems to have some problem trying to select the properties for the selected item.
2. I can get the ADT to work from the front panel or from the Funtion Hierarchy Diagrammer. However the function Description ends up in the Notes for the resulting module, and the function Notes do not show up in the module at all. This is different than what I'm used to in Designer 2.1, where the Description and Notes go right into the corresponding fields in the module.
I've searched all over OTN and MetaLink but couldn't find anything resembling these problems. Should I just apply the latest patch and hope for the best?

We could solve it and the problem was that the url for sap-cssurl did not have domain:port included!
The old usage worked for SP9 but not anymore for SP13.
SP13 - not working

SP13 - working (with domain + port)

A similar issue seems to have the Theme Editor in for the preview mode, since exactly the same error occurs! Hope SAP looks at this and corrects it soon.

Problem with query design mode?

hi friends,
how are you, i created query, i have customer and material and price&quantity.
i have some values corresponding objects.
i click design mode and inserted drop box for material , and again exit design mode, i got drop box with my material.
in drop mox i have 5 material. when i select material 3 the query is not showning values for material 3 . its showing all values . what can i do for this.

Judging from the error message, I'd suspect that IIS is trying to use some authentication service for the user. Are you using something like a "single sign-on" (Windows NT native authentication, NDS authentication, etc.?
As a test, you could try downloading the Oracle OLEDB driver to see if that solves the problem.
Unfortunately, nothing jumps out at me here as obviously wrong or an obvious path to getting this working.

Problems with process designer in Workbench ES2 with Win7

Hello,
I had LiveCycle Workbench installed on my laptop and I have designed some short-term processes. They have been running successfully for sometime. Recently my laptop was upgraded to Windows 7 and got the workbench re-installed.
Now when I try to open up the processes that I have created using process designer, it fails with this error

The LiveCycle server is 9.0 and the workbench is ES2 version. It seems to be a JRE version incompatibility. My understanding is that workbench is shipped with jre which in my case is jre6. Though I have jre7 with Windows 7, the workbench uses jre6 that comes with it.
How do I set the JRE for the workbench ? Or how do I get around this problem ?
I see the same error when I try to create new process as well.
Any ideas would be appreciated .

I found the solution to this problem. I uninstalled workbench 9.0 and installed workbench 9.5. It worked !

Problem with Query designing

Hi All,
I had created a query and started designing a crystal report.
But after designing the report, i came to know that some infoobjects are missing in the query.
So i went to query designer and added the corresponding infoobjects inorder, they could reflect while designing my crystal report.
But when i have reopened the report the field explorer is not showing the infoobjects which i have added newly.
In crystal reports what is the way to obtain those objects which are newly added to the query.
Even i have refreshed the field explorer many times but still it is not showing the updated objects.
But if i go creating a new report on the same query, there it is showing the added objects as well.
Only for the new report i could able to see the newly added objects in field explorer but not for the old report.
Please let me know the solution for this problem ASAP.

Problem with query designer

I finished to configuration of query desginer but my co-worker is in the BI system with these application Bex Web application and she got this message:
Error in Java system There are the error unknowing with comunication portal.
So I found this message in the default tracer of BI system
1.- Error occurred while initially starting application sap.com/com.sap.ip.bi.webdynpro.alv.pdf.ws:Application sap.com/com.sap.ip.bi.webdynpro.alv.pdf.ws cannot be started. Reason: it has hard reference to resource com.sap.ip.bi.base with type application, which is not active on the server
2.- Error occurred while initially starting application sap.com/com.sap.ip.bi.webdynpro.alv.pdf.ws:Application sap.com/com.sap.ip.bi.webdynpro.alv.pdf.ws cannot be started. Does the problem only happen when you try and print or print preview something, i.e when you call application sap.com/com.sap.ip.bi.webdynpro.alv.pdf.ws? Can you please check with the support desktool if every thing is configured correctly as per the SAP note 937697, there should be no errors or warnings returned by the Tool if you have configured everything correctly, if you get errors or warnings please try and correct them based on the suggestions returned in the error or warning messages. Please also check if the note 934276 could be relevant in your case.
