Problems with Indexing and Classification

We faced some problems in Indexing and Taxonomies for which I would like to know the solution/reason.
(1) We tried providing query based classification in which the query condition which is based on the "Content" alone worked for us. Whenever we tried specifying conditions based on "file extension" or "title", it didn't work out. Did that work for anybody else?
(2) Also we are not able to get any proper info about the various options that are available while creating a query based classification. For example, there are two options like "title" and "string title". But we donno the difference b/n the two. If it works out we can find the difference. But it is not working too. So we are not able to find the difference between the two.
(3) And I tried setting the crawler parameter of my own instead of the standard crawler. But the index was found to be inactive when i set that to my crawler and it worked fine with the standard crawler. I am not able to make it active. Any clues behind this?

concerning issues (1) and (2).
Normally the mentioned properties are displayed as 'Name' and 'Namme as String'.
These two properties are(in most cases) the title of the document.
One is indexed in 'Text' format. The other one in 'String' format. That results into different opportunities within the query based classification.
'Displayname as String' can be used to sort documents alphabetically: A, B, ... into categories.
'Displayname' allows you to do a linguistic scan on document titles.
To separate file types I would use the property MIME-Type.
But you may try to define a query *.doc for the property 'Name as String'.

Problems with Taxonomy and Classification
We are currently on EP6 SP2 and are going live in a couple of weeks. Currently, we are stuck on our solution to one of the requirements and cannot seem to find a way out of it. I would really appreciate anyone's help in this regard.
We have a web repository that has HTML files with meta-tags in them. The meta-tags have been defined using the "keywords" tag e.g.
<b><META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="oranges, lemons, limes"></b>
We also have an index that is linked to a query-based taxonomy. The queries have been defined to read the embedded-keywords field and match it to the content in the HTML tag e.g. oranges, lemons etc. in the above example.
When we run the index, we know that it has picked up all the right HTML because the results are returned in the Search. However, they never get classified. All documents just keep sitting in the "Documents to be Classified" folder.
There are two kinds of errors we have come across. For some reason, TREX is not finding the field and is returning this error:
[00208] 2005-06-10 18:19:24.324 e attributes AttributeStore.cpp(00220) : openAttribute() failed: 6915 UNKNOWN_ATTRIBUTE (AttributeEngine); indexId = "aa_ys_sitedirectoryindex760001en"; attribute = "embedded-keywords"
This is even though we see embedded-keywords as a property and as something that can be assigned a query in the Taxonomy Query Builder.
Additionally, if you go and look at the details of a document that we are trying to classify, it has the following error on it:
An error occurred during classificationError while classifying resource /mytaglb/sitmeta_2/mil.dla.loc.HQ.user/Adoption.html for taxonomy News_and_Information.com.sapportals.wcm.WcmException: taxonomy not found (Errorcode 2422)
Even though the Taxonomy is there.
We have no idea why this is happening and have spent the last week or so exclusively looking at this problem. If anyone has any insight, please let us know as this is at a critical level for us.

Even I posted a message which is a bit related to your problem.
Your problem is that you assumed the functionality of "embedded-keywords" and used it in your query and it is not working as you expected and is throwing an error saying UNKNOWN-ATTRIBUTE.
I donno the difference b/n "name" and "name(as string)" attributes. The problem is we are not able to find specific help topic relating to the attribute options we have here. Can anybody tell us the location of proper documentation relating to these attributes found in the Query Builder?
For the message raised by me I got valuable reply from "<b>Matthias Roebig-Landau</b>". Hope he might help you too, if he has experience with the attribute "embedded-keywords".

Problems with indexing and Apple Loops on External Drive
Ok, so I've recently moved my entire "Apple Loops" folder to an external drive and created an alias pointing back the "Audio" folder where the apple loops folder used to reside. The problem is when I bring up the loop browser, it's not finding the loops. Do I need to move the Apple Loops Index to the external hard drive as well? I assumed by creating an alias, it would just go to my external drive.
Someone had said that it's better to use the alias for the apple loops since Logic will always go to where it expects the loops to be first. Which I'm assuming would be faster. But, if it truly doesn't matter and I should just drop all my apple loop folders one by one from my external hard drive, then I"ll do that. Anyone heard about what's faster....alias Vs. external HD direct path?

I am having a strange problem with Tomcat and axis. I have a webservice that uses axis2 for wsdl2java class generation. When I compile my project in maven a Test is performed. During the test a glassfish server is established and the project is deployed -everything work great with the expected results. However when I try to deploy the webservice on tomcat it has some problems.
At first I tried to call axis code in a POST method that takes a MultiPart message. The code is as below:

It was strange to me since this simple approach of handling a Multipart method worked for me earlier. Then I decided skip the handling of multipart method and just call the axis code. But the results also caused an error. I then tried to call the axis code in a simple @GET method (to cross out any issues regarding the multipart) and the result where the same. Again everything works on the maven- glassfish test. In this case the tomcat error is the following:

Problem with java and pogo games
i use mozilla and now with the problems with java and hackers cannot play my pogo games,what can i do? i disabled my java i tried java 6 doesnt work or is not safe,what is a safe way to play games on pogo that use java?

Problems with SwingWorker and classes in my new job, ;), can you help me?

First of all, sorry about my poor English.
I have a problem with Swing and Threads, I hope you help me (because I'm in the firsts two weeks in my new job)
I have two classes:
Form1: Its a JPanel class with JProgressBar and JLabel inside.
FormularioApplet: (the main) Its a JPanel class with a form1 inside.
I have to download a file from a server and show the progress of the download in the JProgressBar. To make it I do this:
In Form1 I make a Thread that update the progress bar and gets the fole from the server.
In FormularioApplet (the main) I call to the method getDownloadedFile from Form1 to get the File.
THE PROBLEM:
The execution of FormularioApplet finishes before the Thread of Form1 (with download the file) download the file. Then, when I call in FormularioApplet the variable with the file an Exception: Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-1" java.lang.NullPointerException is generated.
First main begins his execution, then call to Form1 (a thread) then continues his execution and when the execution is finished ends the execution os Form1 and his thread.
How can I do for main class call the function and the Thread download his file after main class assign the file of return method?
How can I pass information froma class include an a main class. Form1 can't send to main (because main class made a Form1 f1 = new Form1()) any information from his end of the execution. I think if Form1 can say to main class that he finishes is job, then main class can gets the file.
I put in bold the important lines.
Note: My level of JAVA, you can see, is not elevated.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Problem with index in merged projects

I have a problem with index in the master project, I can only
view the master project index keywords under the index tab. My
master project contains 2 topics besides the other sub projects. I

Two points here.
Firstly, you can duplicate SSL's. (Right click on an SSL in
the projects sub-directory and select the duplicate layout option.
This will give you a copy of the original SSL).
I tend to have two SSL's - one is local and I use that every
time I test compile the project when I'm working on it.
The other is set to output to the master project. I use that
once I'm happy with the sub-project and start working with the
master project.
Second point is to be aware of how RoboHelp treats the
imported/merged .chm files from the sub projects.
It imports them into the main project master directory - then
when the master project is compiled it puts a copy of them into the
master project SSL. However, if you re-compile it doesn't overwrite
the files that are already in the master project SSL directory.
This is why you have to be aware of where the sub project
.chm files are going - you need to make sure that if you revise the
sub projects, a fresh copy of the .chm files ends up in the output
SSL directory of the master project. -
Potential Problems with Airplay and Mountain Lion

I recently purchased an Apple TV, and I tried to use Airplay with our Macbook Pros. Airplay would work with all of the iOS Devices, but when it came to using with the MBP, it would either show a black screen, or a frozen image of my screen. I called AppleCare, and the rep told me it was a problem with the AppleTV, so I returned it and bought a new one, and it did the same thing. I found out that the problem was occuring because of the type of router I was using. I have a dualband router, and I set everything on one band of the router. I decided to try to place the laptops on a different band, and that's all it took. My airplay now works flawlessly.
So, if you're having a problem with airplay, and you have a dualband router, try placing your computer & iOS devices on the opposite band, and it should work perfectly.

i have a big problem with SharePoint2010 and Adobe Reader x. We can open .pdf Files from SharePoint but not Safe. The Error Message is "

Could you repost the error-message that you see in Adobe Reader? The problem might be because of a known bug in Microsoft SharePoint server 2010. Certain required field types are missing in the German/French site templates which cause a SOAP request on the server to fail. A workaround is to add these field types to the library. You could add these fields manually or using a script. You could look for following field types which might be missing from the site template.

Hi all,
So this is my problem, i'm editing ePub to publish in the Apple iBooks Store, and do them with Pages, but i've big problems with index
i'm using personal styles (as i change chapter colors, font size)
in "old Pages" i could not do index as it was telling me i was not using none of the style in index (even with my proper styles markeds, now when i create index in the style box my styles doesn't show soo it can't create index)
In Pages '09, i have no problem to create index, the problem is when i export to ePub it does not show it
or when it was shoing it, in the normal index, i could also see it in the book as a normal page, and i want it only in the normal ebook index.
any suggestions?

Problem with JFrame and busy/wait Cursor
Hi -- I'm trying to set a JFrame's cursor to be the busy cursor,
for the duration of some operation (usually just a few seconds).
I can get it to work in some situations, but not others.
Timing does seem to be an issue.
There are thousands of posts on the BugParade, but
in general Sun indicates this is not a bug. I just need
a work-around.
I've written a test program below to demonstrate the problem.
I have the problem on Solaris, running with both J2SE 1.3 and 1.4.
I have not tested on Windows yet.
When you run the following code, three JFrames will be opened,
each with the same 5 buttons. The first "F1" listens to its own
buttons, and works fine. The other two (F2 and F3) listen
to each other's buttons.
The "BUSY" button simply sets the cursor on its listener
to the busy cursor. The "DONE" button sets it to the
default cursor. These work fine.
The "SLEEP" button sets the cursor, sleeps for 3 seconds,
and sets it back. This does not work.
The "INVOKE LATER" button does the same thing,
except is uses invokeLater to sleep and set the
cursor back. This also does not work.
The "DELAY" button sleeps for 3 seconds (giving you
time to move the mouse into the other (listerner's)
window, and then it behaves just like the "SLEEP"
button. This works.
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

I still believe you would need a thread for the time consuming task, and that invokeLater is something you only need to use in a thread different from the event thread. -
Problem with installing and running some applications or drivers
When installing and installing some items, towards the end of the installation I get this message:

The end result is that some things do not seem to work properly, such as my HP printer. Would anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?Thank you for your response. Sometimes, the download hangs and is unable to complete. The main problem I've encountered so far with an application is when I use the printer to scan an image via Preview, it's blank: there's nothing there. -
Problems with outlook and address book contacts: my outlook contacts had around 3,000 entries. Outlook duplicated entries and have now 340,000. I reinstalled microsoft office and, thus, outlook, and reinstalled mac OS X system and applications. While I managed to delete outlook contacts so that I can re-sync with my blackberry, the contacts at Mac Address Book were not deleted and still have over 340,000 entries. I do not mind deleting all contacts since I have back up, but I have not been able to delete them. Also, when I go at Address Book and try to delete or merge duplicated entries, the system takes forever and never ends because of such large amount of entries. Worse, when I do so I run out of RAM memory.
My Macbook pro is just 2 months old.
What should I do? Is there a way to delete my Mac Address Book without having the problem above?

On a laptop G4, 10.5.8 and Safari 5.02 I experience the following:
On the account of my oldest daughter everything works fine, i.e. wireless internet works and no problems with mail or safari.
On the same laptop, on the account of my other daughter, the wireless is OK, she can mail etc. But safari nor firefox works. It says: can’t find server (whatever site) and in the activity window it looks if safari tries to open files (in the safari preferences-folder) in stead of http. Same applies to Firefox, so maybe it has more to do with HTTP in general?
What goes wrong? What to do? I tried the following on the host terminal (tips from Apple)

and
defaults delete com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled
but that did not help,

PC does seem to be a bit odd & inconsistent, the few times I've tested with it, at least so far as we content filtering goes; and if I remember rightly, you're not the first to report previously ok settings suddenly preventing some or all internet until pc is switched off altogether.
