Problems with Integrated Planning

Hi Guys
I've managed to set up a input-ready query and in planning modeler wizard I've done the following:
Created aggregation levels on a real time cube
Selected a filter
Tested the layout.
When accessing the input ready query,  I can't actually save the data? What am I doing wrong. When changing data and saving data, it just reverts to the old data.
Wouter

This is going back a little but I think you did not use all the infoobjects in the aggregation level in the query.
When that happens, the layout / input enabled Bex queries would not save since it is at a more aggregated level than the aggregation level.
Hope this helps,
Mary

  • Problem with Integrated Planning / NW2004s Sneak Preview

Has anyone successfully started the planning modeler of the integrated planning in NW2004s?
I installed the ABAP Edition of NW2004s Sneak Preview (NSP) and after that the Slim Java Edition (J2E). When starting the planning modeler I get the error message "Cannot find J2EE Engine" although the J2E-System is running according to the management console.
I suggest that you need to modify some of the parameters of the ICM. Has anyone some infos how to do that?
    Thanks for your replies
    Thorsten

    Hi Thor,
as raja mentioned you need NW04s Java engine to integrate with NW04s ABAP sneak preview.Right now it is not available for download in SDN and service market place. it is still under ramp up and only available to SAP internal.
    Thanks
    Sarath.

  • Errors with Integrated Planning authorizations

    Dear experts,
We are working with Integration Planning, and when we try to create or
modify whatever object (by the modeler or the wizard) we receive an error message like this:
"You have no authorization for Multiprovider XXXX"
Not only Multiprovider, but InfoCube....whatever object.
The curious thing is that we have with the user we are working a SAP ALL.
With the T-CODE bps0 we can do everything, but with T-CODE rsplan is
    impossible.
We’ve checked in the T-CODE su53 and everything is OK.
We’ve checked in the T-CODE rsecadmin and nothing there.
We’ve checked as well in the T-CODE st01, followed the actions with the
trace and all the return codes are 0.
    Does anyone know what happens?
    Thanks in advance
    Cecilia

    Hello Cecilia,
if you keep a carott in front of a donkey he will run faster... this is the same what I mean if I talked from experts: Men like to be the hero and instead of carott you need to need to laud him as an expert, he will reply faster
Lets come back to authorization: I am not sure whether RSECADMIN is a newer version of RSSM. Reason: In RSSM you can activate authorization check for a cube or MP but in RSECADMIN you administrate authorization for an user.
I am not sure, but I think that your problem is related to this issue. If not, there are very strange problems with the web authroization, its true: What we have done is to copy an exisiting BW user and assign him the same authorization like in web. Reason: To create a new user in the web does not work in all cases. We had very much problems with SP7, since we have SP10 we dont have those problems.

  • Problem with scheduling planned orders in MRP

There is a problem with scheduling planned orders in MRP. SFG is assigned to the BOM of FG. No inhouse production time maintained in the material master of SFG & FG. routing maintained for both . In OPU5 scheduling & capacity reuiremnts tickmarked for detailed scheduling. Scheduling level - via detaied scheduling. Scheduling type - backward. Adjust basic dates , adjust dep. req. to order start set. In MD02 , scheduling is via ' lead time scheduling'.
My problem is the start date & time & finish date & time is same for planned orders of FG & SFG in the detailed scheduling tab of the planned orders. (Duration is same because of same capacity requirements on the same work centre. But how is the finish date same for both SFG & FG?)
    (Capacity requirements are being generated.)
What could be the problem ?

    Dear,
By scheduling the routing and maintain lot size dependent time in material is best practice and result of scheduling will be consistent.
If you want SFG before FG you need to define lead time offset in BOM or need to maintain the floats before production.
    Hope clear to you.

Start you J2EE engine visual administrator.
    Choose Cluster--> server ---> services ---> deploy
Here there will be one application/service named "directory" (dont remember the exact name). Please start that service and your problem should be solved.

    Hi Kiran,
your XI J2EE engine is not properly initialized so you are not able to open IR....
just ask your Basis guys to see the startup log of your J2EE engine....if it has some errors, then just restart your J2EE engine.....then your this problem will be resolved....
also see in  SMICM, whether ICM status is green or not..if not green then restart ICM from Administration->ICM monitor->restart->yes option of your XI server..
when XI restarts, just enquire from basis guys whether J2EE engine is up and running..... then open IR.....then your XI IR will open........
    Thanks,

  • Problems with Integrating SRM, ESS/MSS into one portal 7.01

We are having major problems with integrating SRM, ESS/MSS into one portal 7.01?
Do we need to have a support portal for each.
We created test users for systems but sometimes we lose the users for no apparrent reasons.  Very strange.  Please advise and if you have new documentation regarding SAP Portal Authorization it will be helpful.

    Hi
Please search on SDN for integrating SRM, ESS/MSS in Portal.

  • Load issues with integrated planning

I have a cube XYZ. Sometimes some key figures are wrong and they should be manual changed. I use a real time cube for adjustment. I loaded all data from cube XYZ to real time cube. I changed some key figures with integrated planning. Now I have to load correctional data to XYZ. If I use delta, in first request all data will be loaded to XYZ. In this case, I have double data in XYZ.
My question: how can I load only correction data to XYZ?

    Hi,
After you have loaded from XYZ to the real time infocube, you make a initialization without data transfer back to XYZ. This means that the change pointer is reset.
Then you change the records in the real time infocube. These changes will be put in a new request which equals the delta queue (because you reset the change ponter).
Make a delta load from the real time cube to the XYZ cube => only the changes are moved.
    Hope this answer helps
    Best regards,
    Keld

  • Problems with explain plan and statement

    Hi community,
I have migrated a j2ee application from DB2 to Oracle.
First some facts of our application and database instance:
We are using oracle version 10.2.0.3 and driver version 10.2.0.3. It runs with charset Unicode 3.0 UTF-8.
Our application is using Tomcat as web container and jboss as application server. We are only using prepared statements. So if I talk about statements I always mean prepared statements. Also our application is setting the defaultNChar property to true because every char and varchar field has been created as an nchar and nvarchar.
We have some jsp sites that contains lists with search forms. Everytime I enter a value to the form that returns a filled resultset, the lists are performing great. But everytime I enter a value that returns an empty resultset, the lists are 100 times slower. The jsp sites are running in the tomcat environment and submitting their statements directly to the database. The connections are pooled by dbcp. So what can cause this behaviour??
To anaylze this problem I started logging all statements and filled-in search field values and combinations that are executed by the lists described above. I also developed a standalone helper tool that reads the logged statements, executes them to the database and generates an explain plan for every statement. But now there appears a strange situation. Every statement, that performs really fast within our application, is now executed by the helper tool extremely slow. So I edited some jsp pages within our application to force an explain plan from there (tomcat env). So when I'm executing the same statement I'm getting with the exactly same code two completely different explain plans.
    First the statement itself:
    select LINVIN.BBASE , INVINNUM , INVINNUMALT , LINVIN.LSUPPLIERNUM , LSUPPLIERNUMEXT , LINVIN.COMPANYCODE , ACCOUNT , INVINTXT , INVINSTS , INVINTYP , INVINDAT , RECEIPTDAT , POSTED , POSTINGDATE , CHECKCOSTCENTER , WORKFLOWIDEXT , INVINREFERENCE , RESPONSIBLEPERS , INVINSUM_V , INVINSUMGROSS_V , VOUCHERNUM , HASPOSITIONS , PROCESSINSTANCEID , FCURISO_V , LSUPPLIER.AADDRLINE1 from LINVIN, LSUPPLIER where LINVIN.BBASE = LSUPPLIER.BBASE and LINVIN.LSUPPLIERNUM = LSUPPLIER.LSUPPLIERNUM and LINVIN.BBASE = ? order by LINVIN.BBASE, INVINDAT DESC
Now the explain plan from our application:
    | Id | Operation | Name | Rows | Bytes | Cost (%CPU)| Time |
    | 0 | SELECT STATEMENT | | 101 | 28583 | 55 (0)| 00:00:01 |
    | 1 | NESTED LOOPS | | 101 | 28583 | 55 (0)| 00:00:01 |
    | 2 | TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID| LINVIN | 93709 | 12M| 25 (0)| 00:00:01 |
    |* 3 | INDEX RANGE SCAN | LINV_INVDAT | 101 | | 1 (0)| 00:00:01 |
    | 4 | TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID| LSUPPLIER | 1 | 148 | 1 (0)| 00:00:01 |
    |* 5 | INDEX UNIQUE SCAN | PK_177597 | 1 | | 1 (0)| 00:00:01 |
Predicate Information (identified by operation id):
    3 - access("LINVIN"."BBASE"=:1)
    filter("LINVIN"."BBASE"=:1)
    5 - access("LSUPPLIER"."BBASE"=:1 AND "LINVIN"."LSUPPLIERNUM"="LSUPPLIER"."LSUPPLIERNUM")
Now the one from the standalone tool:
    | Id | Operation | Name | Rows | Bytes |TempSpc| Cost (%CPU)| Time |
    | 0 | SELECT STATEMENT | | 93773 | 25M| | 12898 (1)| 00:02:35 |
    | 1 | SORT ORDER BY | | 93773 | 25M| 61M| 12898 (1)| 00:02:35 |
    |* 2 | HASH JOIN | | 93773 | 25M| 2592K| 7185 (1)| 00:01:27 |
    | 3 | TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID| LSUPPLIER | 16540 | 2390K| | 332 (0)| 00:00:04 |
    |* 4 | INDEX RANGE SCAN | LSUPPLIER_HAS_BASE_FK | 16540 | | | 11 (0)| 00:00:01 |
    | 5 | TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID| LINVIN | 93709 | 12M| | 6073 (1)| 00:01:13 |
    |* 6 | INDEX RANGE SCAN | LINVOICE_BMDT_FK | 93709 | | | 84 (2)| 00:00:02 |
Predicate Information (identified by operation id):
    2 - access("LINVIN"."BBASE"="LSUPPLIER"."BBASE" AND "LINVIN"."LSUPPLIERNUM"="LSUPPLIER"."LSUPPLIERNUM")
    4 - access("LSUPPLIER"."BBASE"=:1)
    6 - access("LINVIN"."BBASE"=:1)
The size of the tables are: LINVIN - 383.692 Rows, LSUPPLIER - 115.782 Rows
As you can see the one executed from our application is much faster than the one from the helper tool. So why picks oracle a completely different explain plan for the same statement? An why is a hash join much slower than a nested loop? Because If I'm right a nested loop should only be used when the tables are pretty small..
I also tried to play with some parameters:
    I set optimizer_index_caching to 100 and optimizer_index_cost_adj to 30. I also changed optimizer_mode to FIRST_ROWS_100.
I would really appreciated, if somebody can help me with this issue, because I'm really getting more and more distressed...
    Thanks in advance,
    Tobias

    Hi again,
    Here ist the answer:
The problem, because I got two different explain plans, was that the external tool uses the NLS sesssion parameters coming from the OS which are in my case "de/DE".
Within our application these parameters are changed to "en/US"!! So if I'm calling in my external tool the java function Locale.setDefault(new Locale("en","US")) before connecting to the database the explain plans are finally equal. That might explain why you got two different execution plan, because one plan was obviously able to avoid a SORT ORDER BY operation, whereas the second plan required to run SORT ORDER BY operation, obviously because of the different NLS_SORT settings. An index by default uses the NLS_SORT = 'binary' order whereas ORDER BY obeys the NLS_SORT setting, which probably was set to 'GERMAN' in your "external tool" case. You can check the "NLS_SESSION_PARAMETERS" view to check your current NLS_SORT setting.
For more information regarding this issue, see my blog note I've written about this some time ago:
    http://oracle-randolf.blogspot.com/2008/09/getting-first-rows-of-large-sorted.html
Now let me make a guess why you observe the behaviour that it takes so long if your result set is empty:
The plan avoiding the SORT ORDER BY is able to return the first rows of the result set very quickly, but could take quite a while until all rows are processed, since it requires potentially a lot of iterations of the loop until everything has been processed. Your front end probably by default only display the first n rows of the result set and therefore works fine with this execution plan.
Now if the result set is empty, depending on your data, indexes and search criteria, Oracle has to work through all the data using the inefficient NESTED LOOP approach only to find out that no data has been found, and since your application attempts to fetch the first n records, but no records will be found, it has to wait until all data has been processed.
You can try to reproduce this by deliberately fetching all records of a query that returns data and that uses the NESTED LOOP approach... It probably takes as long as in the case when no records are found.
Note that you seem to use bind variables and 10g, therefore you might be interested that due to the "bind variable peeking" functionality you might potentially end up with "unstable" plans depending on the values "peeked" when the statement is parsed.
For more information, see this comprehensive description of the issue:
    http://www.pythian.com/blogs/867/stabilize-oracle-10gs-bind-peeking-behaviour-by-cutting-histograms
Note that this changes in 11g with the introduction of the "Adaptive Cursor Sharing".

  • Performance problem with Integration with COGNOS and Bex

    Hi Gems
I have a performance problem with some of my queries when integrating with the COGNOS
My query is simple which gets the data for the date interval : "
    From Date: 20070101
    To date:20070829
When executing the query in the Bex it takes 2mins but when it is executed in the COGNOS it takes almost 10mins and above..
Any where can we debug the report how the data is sending to the cognos. Like debugging the OLEDB ..
and how to increase the performance.. of the query in the Cognos ..

    Hi,
Please check the following CA Unicenter config files on the SunMC server:
    - is the Event Adapter (ea-start) running ?, without these daemon no event forwarding is done the CA Unicenter nor discover from Ca unicenter is working.
    How to debug:
    - run ea-start in debug mode:
    # /opt/SUNWsymon/SunMC-TNG/sbin/ea-start -d9
    - check if the Event Adaptor is been setup,
    # /var/opt/SUNWsymon/SunMC-TNG/cfg_sunmctotng
    - check the CA log file
    # /var/opt/SUNWsymon/SunMC-TNG/SunMCToTngAdaptorMain.log
After that is all fine check this side it explains how to discover an SunMC agent from CA Unicenter.

  • Power Sim  - Does it work with Integrated Planning (IP)

PowerSim currently promotes itself as being able to perform superior simulations on SEM-BPS. With BI7.0, we have the option of using Integrated Planning (IP) or BW-BPS. Following are my questions:
         1.  Does PowerSim work with IP?
         2.  Does PowerSim work with BW-BPS in addition to SEM-BPS?  Assuming  yes, what are the differences / challenges (if any) using BW-BPS in a BI7.0 as opposed to going against SEM-BPS?
         3.  Does BI7 have any "out of the box" advanced simulation capabilities that are "close" to what PowerSim provides.
         4.  Given SAP's recent strategic investments of Outlook Soft / Pilot / Acorn, the assumption is that these will integrate into the BI platform over the next year +.  Does anybody know if any of these tools provide similar simulation capabilities to PowerSim and/or what SAP's timing is to integrate / ramp-up?
    Thanks

    Hi Richard,
    1) Unlike in previous versions of SEM-BPS. there's no special support for PowerSim in BI-IP. Please check with PowerSim vendor what kind of standard SAP interfaces they support (to read from/write data to BI).
    2) Yes, when it comes to PowerSime BW-BPS is no different to SEM-BPS. You cna use BW-BPS just like SEM-BPS (some limitations are the financial planning functions). For more information please see the BI FAQ at http://service.sap.com/bifaq.
    3) No.
    4) No. PowerSim provides specialized capabilities which are not included in that form in the products listed by you. Please check with PowerSim what capabilities they provide in connection with SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0

  • Problem with integrating Web Dynpro into anonymous Portal

The problem is that we can't run the Web Dynpro application in combination with an anonymous portal.
    <b>We get the following error:</b>

    Exception id: 02:31_29/10/07_0168_426375450
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
    <b>Detail description of the situation:</b>
At one of our companies we are using a Portal in combination with a Web Dynpro application. The portal is for internal use only so therefore we are using a language specific anonymous user (/irj/portal/anonymous?guest_user=Guest_intra_NL). The Web Dynpro application needs no authentication either. The Web Dynpro applications runs inside an appintegrator iView somewhere on the frontpage. If we set the authentication schema on 'default' instead of 'anonymous' we have to authenticate (inside the iView only). If we authenticate then the Web Dynpro application works fine. So only in combination with a anonymous user the application is not working.
    <b>We performed all these settings:</b>
Anonymous user access to Web Dynpro

    Hi Kelly,
the point here is native SharePoint integration. If your company does not have a SharePoint strategy then I absolutely agree with you. There are plenty of ways on how you can integrate WebDynpros, iViews, and other "SAP views" in SharePoint.
The "problem" with these integrations is always that it is not a native / low-level integration. It is just an iFrame within SharePoint that contains data coming from another system. This means that this data is isolated from any other functionality that is available in SharePoint.
Of course this can be enough for some usecases (maybe for all of yours ), but there are lots of companies who do want to leverage all of SharePoints (collaborative) functionalities. In this case Duet Enterprise does offer a way to integrate SAP objects into SharePoint on a "low-level". All objects that are integrated into SharePoint are then available as "real" SharePoint objects. You can work with them like with any other SharePoint object. You can even offline them using standard SharePoint functionalities. You can bring them to Outlook without any major development, ...
All this because we not only include an isolated iFrame in SharePoint, but really integrate the data.
Like I said: there are certainly usecases where this is not required and a simple iFrame is all that you need. However, we have seen in several projects now that there is also a requirement / need for a "deeper" integration.
    Regards,
    Holger.
