Problems with iPhone messaging - received messages showing as sent messages and messages sent to one family member gets received by other family members.

AT&T family plan - 4 iPhones in use by family members (4s, 4g, and two 3g's). Weird things happen when we text message:
1. Sometimes, received messages look like they are sent messages - and no alert is sounded. The conversation looks like you are talking to yourself. Sometimes it happens to both parties in a text conversation, sometimes it only happens to one party. Deleting the message entirely and starting over from scratch sometimes fixes the problems and sometimes doesn't fix the problem. Once this phenomenon starts in a conversation it is almost impossible to get it to stop.
2. Sometimes text messages to a specific family member get replicated to other family members as if in a group conversation - but group is turned off. This happens sporadically but it happens. Quite embarassing when husband and wife are sending private messages then suddenly the kids see the message on their iPhones! Can't figure out why this happens or what makes it happen, but happens a lot!!!
Has anyone had these problems or knows how to fix them?

If every device, does that mean you can no longer share apps?

Everyone should have their own Apple ID. They were never designed to be shared.

Hi there!
Problem #1: I've been having problems with my Windguru application in my Iphone. From sometime onwards, it is not showing the forecasted wind, etc after I open it. Tried to uninstall and install again but the problem continues. Seems like there is something sticking in my iphone that is preventing the app to work correctly after uninstalled. Is there something "Windows like" to clean all remains of an application?
Problem #2 and somehow related: I installed Netflix app in my Iphone as a trial and went ok. Then, logically, tried in my Ipad but something went wrong. The App is installed but doesn't show anyplace. In App store it shows as installed, in General Settings it shows in the list of applications, but no Icon!
Then I tried to uninstall from Itunes and the same thing continued happening. Worse, then I tried to install from Itunes, SAW the icon with the progress bar being installed in the Ipad and suddenly it dissapeared!!
Anyone can help?

Just go to 'core' and get the package(s) you need and downgrade. There is also a thread on here somewhere about setting up pacman.conf to point to a specific date with ARM if you don't want to get individual stuff manually, but just doing it individually would probably be easier, as I don't expect the kernel has too many other things you need

Problems With My Mail Received By Others

I am using an eMac with 384MB of Ram and 28.67 GB of DIsk Space.I am using 10.3.9 OS which I just recently installed.The email account is Apple mail 1.3.11(v622/623). I send e-mails using Apple Mail and I have been told by several people that my emails come through in pieces, and that the receiver has to stop and put it together before he can read it or before it makes sense. The receivers are mostly people using PCs although my son has an Apple --unknown type. When I attach pictures, I always make sure they are .jpg files. If I forward an e-mail, I do nothing and it does not look like the pictures get sent as attachments although they show in the email page open before I send it. I don't know what to do to correct the fact that my e-mails go through in scattered pieces. Anyone have any ideas?

When sending attachments to Windows users, are you also selecting Send Windows Friendly Attachments?
When forwarding a message received that was composed in HTML, are any images, etc. that appear as attachments actually embedded in the message body or are they actual message attachments? If these are attachments, there is an attachments indicator and selection directly below the message header for saving message attachments to another location outide of the message. If this attachments indicator is not available, the message was received with embedded images or objects which are not true attachments to the message.
Jaguar and Panther Mail render HTML received but do not support composing in HTML and this includes when forwarding a message received that was composed in HTML.
If a received message includes embedded images or objects, when forwarding the message the embedded images or objects are converted to attachments usually in tiff format.

Solved synch problem with iphone 2.0 outlook 2007, win XP Pro and Mobile Me

I've been struggling with this mobile me business, and I hope that I solved it for me and therefore for you. I have the components listed above. I noticed that my iphone was no longer synching to outlook '07. Can't remember if that was before or after I updated to iphone 2.0 Regardless, neither the dock nor the mobile me synch worked. ( It would go through the motions of the synch, but then when I went to look at the phone, it had not changed at all. )
In reading the posts, it appeared that all of the solutions pointed toward a corruption in the pst file. Most of the solutions are based on the fact that there is some item in the calander section ( or the contacts) data that is corrupt. Fortunately, I have a proprietary calander in my office and I use outlook as the conduit for getting that info onto my iphone through itunes. So, I deleted all of the appointments in outlook and then tried to synch a blank outlook with the iphone and it worked! So, all I had to do was then resynch my office proprietary software back to outlook ( which worked ok) and now it's working fine. In fact, that solved the mobile me issue as well....
So, I hope this helps you out there..eveyone's case is different, but it does appear that if you've reinstalled itunes, reinstalled outlook and tried everything else, that the problem resides in the pst file and there is some appointment or contact that itunes does not like.

Problem with PDF viewing Colors not showing correctly (or black and white)

My iMac and my Macbook are both not showing the pictures in a PDF correctly. My collegue who uses a Macbook has no issues.
Im using version 10.7.5 on my macs.
I have tried using the standard ' Preview' as wel as two different free PDF vieuwers from the Appstore.
Also the sender of the document has no issues as wel with the PDF document she made with Indesign.
I'm sure it has to do with my computers, but where do I have to look?

Since InDesign documents are truly PDF compliant I would, were I you, use a truly PDF compliant viewer - Adobe Reader.

I have two Iphones with different email addresses sharing one Apple ID. Will that cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?

I have two Iphones 5 with different email addresses sharing one Apple ID account.Both are using IOS 8.
I would like to set up a new Apple Id for one of the phones and remove it from the old account.
If I do that, can I move all of the purchased apps and songs to the new Apple account?
Also, will sharing one Apple ID account with two devices cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

Same problem here with and I've done everything shy of a total reset which I also find unacceptable. This problem exists on all iMessage platforms (iPhone, iPad, and Mac) so I don't see how restoring my iPhone would help the problem.

I have recently swapped my iPhone for a new Samsung S4 contract with new sim and number, but when people with iPhones message me they are sending as iMessage.

I have taken out a new contract with a Samsung S4 as the mobile device. It has a new sim card I got with the contract and new number. However, when friends with iPhones message me it is sending from their phone as iMessage meaning I am not receiving texts from them. Is this a fault on their side or mine? How do I fix the problem so I am receiving messages from them instead of it sending as iMessage and not received on my phone. Please help

Problem with Nokia Messaging on my N97 (V22)

Since afew weeks I have a strange problem with Nokia Messaging on my N97.
I receive emails using Nokia Messaging (V10.2.26) with a date shown incorrect as 01.01.0000 and the email then can’t be opened/read.
This happens either on 3G connection as well as WLAN and it seems to be by random, not only HTML-emails or emails with text only.
I have uninstalled Nokia messaging already and reinstalled V10.1.24 but the problem still remains.
Is there any idea how to fix this issue because it is quite annoying and I can’t use the full functionality of my cell phone?

absolutely m8. thats why i gave you a kudos.
the challenge is that NM has been unruly as of late...and believe when i say that i have literally been on the phone teching nokias support up to tier 2 and creating, canceling, trying new acounts with different email, different ways of creating them, with wifi, gprs...and praying for hours accross mutliple phone calls
but to no avail, are the devices we are using connecting and syncing...even with thier n900 specialist which i had to help him! lmao.
another option for a solution is alwayhs welcome as there are more then one way to skin a cat.
i hope it works for him and others as i kno9w thesome that are just giving up on it.

Problems with synchronous message in XI

I have the following scenario involving XI 3.0 ( SP 12 )
XI has exposed a webservice ( WS provider ) and this webservice is being called from a web application. On receiving the webservice call, XI synchronously calls a RFC on the SAP backend and the response is mapped back as a webservice soap response to the calling web application.
Now, I see sometimes ( not always ) - the incoming message from the web application has a status in SXMB_MONI -
<b>Message scheduled (commit follows)</b>
with a green flag and this message is never processed - i.e The message comes into XI from the webservice call - but beyond this - there is no call to the RFC receiver adapter ( the receiver adapter- comm channel is ok as seen in the adapter monitoring )
Since synchronous messaging does not involve any queues ( I hope my understanding is right ), I am not sure why this occurs and what to do to push the message forward in this synchronous messaging scenario ??

Hm we have a slightly different version of that problem.
The message is wirtten into a queue, gets the green flag and the message is processed.
But the flag as well as the status stay...
Has anyone soem background information about how the queuing and scheduling and execution planning is done?
I have quite an idea about queue filters and how to set-up queues. But I have no idea how the synchronous stuff fits in and what this "Message scheduled (commit follows)" exactly means.

Problem with instant message in clustered environment

Hello, I have some problem with Instant Message service.
We need to use it in our Production Environment (a clustered emvironment with a central instance, two dialog instances and two web dispatchers), some months ago we tested it in Development Environment (not clustered emvironment, just a single system) and it worked fine.
So I did the same configurations on Production Environment but it did not work.
But if I access on my portal (Production Env.) by the central instance (avoiding the dispatchers) the instant message service works.
I think it can be a web dispatcher's configuration problem, in its logs I found the message :
"<i>[Thr 3700] *** ERROR => htmlEncode: called with empty string [icpif.cpp 847]</i>"
I' ve repeated the same configuration done in Dev.Env. (no dispatcher) on the Prod.Env. (with 2 dispatcher), is possible that I'm missing some configurations??
Could someone helps me?
