Problems with ipod mini pls. help
well one day i was charging my mini but wen i took it out of the usb cord and listened to it it says it does not have any songs like everything has been ereased. i tried restoring it but it does not work. also wen i plug it in usb and itunes comes up it says it cannot recognize my ipod.
any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!!!
First of all, try another port on your computer. Some ports are not connected direct to the motherboard and do not recognize the iPod as well as those that are. Reset the iPod each time you connect it to another port.

I have serious audio problems with my Mini right now -- Please Help!
When I play iTunes, iPod, etc. I hear very bad static, and start and stops; like its an audio feed from the radio, a scratchy audo feed, that pauses.
At first i thought it was the old speakers that i run through the old display; but I plugged in Bose headphones to the mini itself and got the same bad, sound. this just started, can anybody help? thanks.Check your Audio/MIDI Setup, making sure that your audio out settings are for 44.100khz, 2ch-16bit. I've seen some apps that arbitrarily change it to 1ch-8bit, which can cause the poor sound you're describing.

Problems with iPod mini in iTunes 7
I recently installed iTunes 7.0.1.8 on my PC and have been having problems with my iPod mini (Windows format, software version 2.6.1). Initialy I could not see the iPod in iTunes but I followed the advice in a support article to change the Startup Type under Terminal Services Properties to "manual" which seemed to work.
However now new music that I have purchased will not transfer because it says that my iPod software is too old; but the Update button on the Summary tab in my iPod Preferences is greyed out - help?!

Problem with ipod mini and nano hooked on same computer
Last year I bought a mini and hooked it up to my computer. It works great. So great that I decided to buy a nano recently. The problem is...When I hooked up the nano to the same computer, I was unable to create or add playlists, and Itunes simply took some of my library from the mini and added it to my nano. The software that came with the nano won't install either because I have a previously installed version of Itunes. Anybody with more than one Ipod who can help me with this problem?? Thanks in advance.

Unknown problem with JSP, JavaScript - Pls help

I am facing a strange problem. Explained it below. Kindly help me as it is really affecting my work. Thanks in advance.
I am working on building a web application using jsp, servlet, ejb. the IDE used is WSAD 5.1.2.
I have the below :
1 JSP - Input page - for user input entry
2. Java script1 - For all client side validations
Java script2 - For handling the data submission to servlet (as selected by user)
Javascript3 - Header & Menu Bar
3 Servlet - This actually retrieves the values from the hidden parameters, sets them in session and redirects the control back to the jsp.
Logic for one small iteration : Two drop downs are there. On selecting the first drop down the second drop down should be populated and the first drop down should display the user selected value.
1. When the user selects the first drop down onchange() event gets fired which calls a method in the javascript.
2. In the javascript I set the value of a hidden form field to the selected combo index and submit the form to the servlet
3. In the servlet, I retrieve the hidden request parameter (Index),
set the index in session. Do my business logic based on the value of the index. Set the collection (to be displayed) in second drop down in session.
4. Send the response back to the JSP.
5. In the JSP, we have a method which is called during the onload() event of the body
6. This method sets the user selected values in appropriate controls(by taking from session)
Problem faced: I have a javascript which creates the menu bar for my application and this i've included it in my jsp. I dont know whats wrong with this javascript, when it is commented out the page works perfectly fine. Both the user selected value and the collection are loaded exactly as expected. But when it is included the collection is loaded in the second drop down but the selected index of the first drop down is not set - the drop down gets reset to the default value.
Also on body load of my jsp, I call a javascript method which sets the current date in one text field of my form. Even this is not working fine when I include this javascript. I don't see any script error in this javascript in my browser though. Strange but guess something basic :(
I'm sure there is nothing to do with session. I've tried printing the entire flow. The Servlet sets the values correctly in session and they are also correctly available in the JSP page. The JSP also gets loaded with the user selected values but something happens on page load which clears the values to default.
Am also confused in what way javascript is related to this, coz when I remove it things are working fine.
Am really helpless here pls do the needful. any help is appreciated.

Hi. I would really appreciate if someone could help me find a way to solve my problem. I bought a second hand iphone4 from my friend's friend. I fully trust my friend coz she said this iphone is working but it was handed to her lowbat so i get home i recharge it immediately and after charging it, i open and it shows to select language and country and i did select. After this it shows on the screen "Connect to itunes". Then i plug it in to my laptop and connect to itunes. It shows in my itunes " There is a problem with your iphone". well, I recently encountered 2 problems with my iPod Mini.
#1- It says the battery is charged, but dies out as soon as I start to play a song
-And-
#2- (the reason I joined this forum) just about 4 minutes ago, The screen has that black Apple logo on it, but it stays there forever. I reset it, but when the logo appears, it still stays there. I plugged it into my computer, and the logo is still there. It dosent respont what so ever. I cant even turn it off. Please tell me how to fix it.

If your iPod is old, the battery is probably just worn out and needs replaced.
After about 400 charge cycles, the battery is only able to hold up to 80% of its charge. After even further charge cycles, the battery can hold less and less.

3rd parties can also replace your battery with a generic battery for lower costs. They also sell DIY kits so you can replace it yourself, and never have to send it in.
Note that those Support articles are a tad outdated, so while their information is about the same, exact number figures may be off (Example: they say battery life can last 8-12 hours. New models can last about twice to three times that.)
For your second issue: (I don't have a premade message for this :P )
It sounds like the formatting messed up or the hard drive is failing. Reset it again, and as soon as the Apple logo pops up, hold the center and Play/Pause buttons until it goes into Disk Mode (if it doesn't get into disk mode, you really have problems, likely with your motherboard). If it gets into Disk Mode, plug it into a computer and use iTunes to restore it.
Try that and let me know how that works for you. -
My ipod just keeps skipping from song to song without playing anything. if i pick an album and hit play on the first song it goes from first to last than back to menu. Any ideas?
your computer may not be authorized to play these songs. to authorize your computer, double click on any of the "problem songs" to play it on your computer. a prompt should come up asking if you'd like to authorize your computer to play music. click "yes". sync your ipod with itunes, and you shouldn't have any more problems with those songs.

All applications that connect on internet have problems(for example: whatsapp, blackberry app world, facebook..), when i restart my device they work 2 days and then again they don't work. I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT

2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should talk to your mobile service provider for more detailed and formal support.

Still having Problems with IPOD mini
I formated, updated and restored my iPod Mini; I cahnge computer, virtually everything that was discussed here and still ahving a problem.
I solved the problem of not recognized in itunes but appered in windows as disk drive. Now, when I'm uploading songs, I get to load only a fex (15~20), after that, it appears a message on the ipod display for low battery, then I go back and connect it to the AC adapter and the battery appears fully charged. Then i try again and the same problem.
I remember have run a chkdsk on the ipod and looks like some system files are corrupted. Specifically one names "ipod control"
Doew anybody now what can i do to solve this? Is my last hope before truw it away and by another one (from a different brad due I'm not willing to take the risk of this happening again)Don't toss it: fix it! I had the same problem (corrupted system files) even after restore, and ultimately realized the CF hard-drive was going bad. Weirdest problem with ipod!PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Okay, i tried to load a playlist that had about 100 songs on it. While its loading, the update just stops. My ipod starts going crazy.The apple logo keeps lighting up and then the light doesnt come on but the logo is still there. You can hear the inside of it like trying to come on but then it just keeps doing the same thing til the battery life runs out! I really need help on this! I've tried to reset but everytime I do it it just keeps doing the same thing. I dont know if i should wipe all my songs off of itunes or what but im so confused and so aggravated with it. Hey, I got my i-pod mini about 3 years ago. Everything has been workin great until recently, the backlight dosent stay on. This isnt the only problem in fact this is a minr problem, the main problems are that once i turn the ipod on i cant turn it off again and just have to let the battery run out, also when i go into a song list it wont let me out of it again, i keep on pressing menu to return to the song list but it wont go back. I have tried to reset it but this hasnt changed anything. Has anyone got an suggestions?

Having major problems with iPod Shuffle, please help!!
Okay, I have a 2nd iPod shuffle and it just will not connect to my computer. I've used to adaptor that came with it and it worked once but I only added a couple of songs and I want to add more now but I can't! The light blinks orange 3-4 times and nothing happens on my PC. I borrowed my friends charger and absoloutly nothing happens with his. But I can still charge it because I have a USB wall charger which I can connect my charger to and it charges perfectly with that. So, naturally I thought there was something wrong with my PC/USB sockets. So, I tried it on my friends computer - same results as with mine. I can't use the reset utility though because I'm running Windows 7 on 64 bit and there's no download out there for that. Please help somebody - I really want to add more songs to my iPod, and this is becoming really frustrating. :/
Okay, so maybe I wasn't clear enough when I said nothing happens on my PC? Well, literally nothing at all happens on my PC, it doesn't show up in My Computer or iTunes.

Many Problems with Ipod! Need Help =[
Ey um there has been lots of issues with my Ipod!! (5th gen 30gigs)
Conditions:
-Ipod skips songs when playing(the songs arn't corrupted)
-Ipod freezes occasionally when viewing photos or playing music
-Ipod at times wont show on itunes 7
-When Ipod has connected to computer, and shown in Itunes, Itunes call my Ipod “Ipod” when it is supposed to be called “RnA”(and it won’t restore…Either my computer freezes or it would go on 4evr but not restore)
-When trying to turn on Ipod, a msg appears “Use Itunes to restore” When I plug and connect to Itunes, It says This Ipod needs to be reformatted for your pc. ( when I press update, my computer freezes, or would take forevr…and not update
-When I try to restore my Ipod my computer freezes or it would take forevr but not work
My questions:
-I bought my Ipod during the summer, and it was bought online from my dad, but he accidentally threw receipt away…Can I still replace my Ipod? Or find repairs?

What Happened:
Ok, last month, my Ipod was working perfectly until one day it froze… So I reset it. But after a few days when I connect my Ipod to my computer, it charges and everything is fine, but when I click disconnect Ipod on Itunes, or Disconnect when using Safely Remove Hardware…It works but then my Ipod still says Do not disconnect. But I disconnected it anyway and reset it. And it was working. And I have been having this problem a lot wen I updated to Itunes 7.
Then 2-3 weeks later, my Ipod started having many problems… It would skip songs even though my songs aren’t corrupted… And when I look at photos, It would freeze for around 20 seconds, and my Ipod turns laggy. So I reset it and it’s ok but then it happened again the next day. And these problems kept going on but I ignored it T.T
And now, I can’t use my Ipod at all! It says I need to use itunes to restore…So when I connect it to my computer, It would appear on Safely remove hardware, but Itunes would pop up and have no Ipod in it. Ipod with video (5th Gen) with 30 gigs Windows XPPlease don't shake it. It has a hard drive in it and by doing that you may damage the heads. That is the clack noise the heads hitting the platter. Not a good thing.
