Problems with iRig after the Mavericks 10.9.2 update

Mavericks is not recognizing iRig as an external microphone when plugin it. iPhone headphones (and mic) work fine. Anyone with the same problem, i have the same issue on 2 Retina macbooks.

My AE CS6 won't run after the Mavericks 10.9.3 update the other day. I was prompted that the current version of my AE was 11.0, so I searched and found the seemingly most up-to-date here: Adobe - After Effects : For Macintosh : Adobe After Effects CS6 11.0.4 Update : Thank You
My question is this: since I'm new to Mac, should I download the update and install it to my existing instance of AE and it will allow AE CS6 to run as normal? And the way to install the update is simply to double-click the .dmg?

Has anyone experienced problems with Outlook after installing Mavericks?

Has anyone else experienced problems using Microsoft Outlook after installing Mavericks? The computer seems to want to continue reloading emails.

Problems with java after the last update

Hi, yesterday I downloaded and install the last update available for Snow Leopard. After having installed the update, I had problems with Matlab (I use the version R2010a), and the error code is reported below. Do you think the error and the update are correlated? Do you have any idea of how to fix the problem?

Problems with GNOME After The Last Upgrade

I have too many problems these days with my Arch box.. And I don't know when or how these problems are solved but I'm really bored about having problem all the time. I don't know all of these are bugs but if they're I'm ready to enter some bug reports.
1) After the last update, Metacity doesn't start automatically. So everytime, I don't have my mouse theme, my thema of borders of the windows, the notes I took with gnome's note applet doesn't disappear.
2) gnome-power-manager is never the same that I used to.. I just found that killing and rerunning it is at least make it work. But it's menus and options is not rich as I was earlier times. It doesn't say that much as it did in the earlier times.

I've same problem with gnome-power-manager, it works only when i kill it with killall gnome-power-monitor and re-run it.
About metacity i don't have problem with it.

Problem with Word after installing Maverick

After installing Maverick word for Mac is not able to be open. Excell & PowerPoint works without problems. According to local Apple store it's a common problem and I should wait for an update from Microsoft. Does anyonwe faced the same issue ?

You'd have the same version of Word since the MS updates update all MS Office apps.
The only thing that I can suggest is to take your question to the MS Office 2011 Mac forums -> http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac.

I updated my phone to the IOS5 on Thursday and can't get emails from my yahoo account. i have deleted the email account from my phone and the added it back to start over and nothing. I am completly lost as to how to solve this problem, but I want m email back. Has anyone else had this problem.

Problems in iMovie after the mavericks update

iMovie keeps crashing on me, and it has deleted my project like a million times now. i finally had it working the whole day with no problems and almost finished this project, which is kind of huge and has taken me so many hours, and suddenly it all crashed and deleted it. it says i have 4 projects, but only one of them is showing? i'm freaking out cos this project was a major one and i was so happy with how it turned out that im so mad right now. this never happened until i downloaded mavericks, my imovie NEVER crashed or did anything like this. Please help, anyone, if you know how to work this, because somehow the projects are still in there, it says so itself - but they just wont SHOW in my projects folder ?

When I try to insert/edit fields in a custome stamp, the programme stops responding and has to close. The stamp and edits I am using are the same as I used in the previous version before the 9.4.2 update.

Problems with java after the last update- Encylopaedia Britannica 2011

Since updating Java (Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 4) Encylopaedia Britannica, the App will not launch. An error "Cannot launch Java application" - "Uncaught exception in main method: java.lang.NullPointerException" occurs.
Can any users help me solce this puzzle?

I have reinstalled Java 1.5., however I still get a Cannot launch Java application: Uncaught exception in main mehtod: java.lang.NullPointerException.
I have contacted Encylopaedia Britannica, and they have yet to provide me with a solution.

Am I the only one with a problem with iMovie since the Mavericks update for Mac???

My iMovie keeps freezing, causing my whole computer to freeze and all I can do is shut it down and then the whole project is gone when I open the computer again. It will say that I have 1 project or 2 projects or whatever but no projects show up? And if I create a new movie with the same name as the previous ones, it will say that the project already exists? This is the third time within 30 minutes I have to start all over with a project cause it just keeps freezing and I have to shut the whole thing down by pressing down the on/off button, cause its the only thing that does not freeze. It's frustrating, please help, anyone?

I have no issues with suspend-resume cycle with networkmanager.

Problem with clock after the switchover to DST

Hello,
This morning when I checked my phone, it said 7 o'clock, which shuold have been 8.
My time settings are set to automatic, but the phone is putting me in the Cairo region, when I'm in the Sofia timezone region.
I don't know why is this.
What's the problem, so the phone can't recognise i"m in Bulgaria?
Thank god it's not a work day, or I'd be screwed.

The time setting is operator controlled and should follow their time setting. Try switching to flight mode, wait 30 seconds an turn it back off this should reset the cellular connection and vet the proper time setting. The issue your seeing is the same as sometimes happens when traveling between time zones. It should also resolve by itself over time. There is not much you can do really. Alternatively switch to manual time setting and try switch back in a day or so.

Problems with iTouch after the most recent upgrade

I have been having issues like my iTouch running slower, all my apps open up and then close or if they open up will work for about a minute and then freeze, or some of my wifi apps will say there is not connection to the internet. I have wireless internet at my home and it is on all the time. I am so mad I updated my iTouch. Any one know of a fix to these issues?

I too upgraded my 16GB iPod Touch with IOS 4.0 and have noticed slower response times and Apps crashing back to the main screen. Looking at other postings on this site, the general consensus is that we should not upgrade until Apple resolve the issue. However, this does not help those of us that have already upgraded!
I was considering using the iTunes option of restoring a previous IOS version. So, can anyone else help our friend and confirm whether a IOS downgrade or other solution is advisable?

Problems with mail after upgrading to Mavericks

Hello,
since I upgraded to Mavericks, I have problems with Mail.
The mail app doesn't retrieve any mail from my email servers. IMAP or POP or exchange mail no longer work.
I have these problems on my iMac and my MBP.
The strangest thing is that I have no more new emails in my icloud account since the upgrade. Not only does mail not retrieve the emails but I even can't see any new mail online.
On my iphone with iOs7 the mails are retrieved, except of course the mails from the icloud account.
Has anybody a solution at hand?
