Problems with iterate tags

Hi everybody,
We're using OC4J 9.0.2 but we have a problem with iterate tags. The doAfterBody is ignored and so, the body is never done !
This work fine with version 9.0.3. If we compare the two generated servlets(9.0.2 & 9.0.3), the code is really different.
Is this a know bug, is it possible to solve this problem ?
Our client is still in 9.0.2 and is not ready for an upgrade.
Any idea is welcome ...

It's unlikely anyone can help you if you don't show any of your code or explain what is really happening.
Have you set breakpoints (or added print statements) in your doStartTag, doEndTag, and doAfterBody methods, and verified the return values are what they should be?

  • XSLT problem with img tag in Saxon

    Hi,
    Iam getting a problem with <img> tag when transforming a document using Saxon transformer. In the input XSLT I have proper closing tag for <img>, but the output of the transformation is not well formed as the closing tag for <img> does not appear. I need to feed the output to a FO object to generate a print preview, but the output is not well-formed.
    Kindly help to resolve the issue.
    Kind Regards,
    Abhinandan

    Perhaps that is because you are generating HTML as your output? As I recall, <img> tags don't have to be closed in HTML. So try generating XML instead if you need XML.

  • JDeveloper 9i - Problem with using tag lib

    I am having problem with building my project, using JDeveloper 9i.
    My project includes custom tag libraries.

    What version is your tag library and what version is your deployment descriptor?

  • Problem with custom tag

    I have written a custom tag that I am having problems with. It works on some machines, but not on others. I have a page that uses many 'standard' tags. I have correctly set the URI etc, because all of my other tags work. However, on some machines, my custom tag gives me an error:

    I'm assuming that I have the correct versions of standard.jar etc because all of the regular jstl 1.1 tags work. It is just my custom tag that throws an error.

    The code commented with "doesnt work", is not working. What must be the problem ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Martin

    Okay. Your original example XML didn't include < or > which was rather confusing if that particular feature was supposed to be the cause of the problem. Also calling them "tags" was rather confusing since "tags" is the term for the things that come at the beginning and of an element, like this:<data>...</data>Anyway, I assume your theory is that documents that don't have < in a text element process correctly and documents that do have < in a text element get "stuck" in the parser? Well, from your original description the process appears to be:
    1. Create XML
    2. Parse it into a Document
    3. Send the Document via JMS
    4. Receive the Document via JMS
    5. Process it.
    And it's step 4 that is "stuck"? That would be my guess based on the code you posted.

  • XML File - Problem.with naming tags with XI standard functions

    Hello,
    simple (?) problem:
    Receiver expects an XML file via file adapter.
    (The source data comes from an RFC connect to XI.)
    In the XML tags like these are expected (following W3C definitions):
    A)   </gdt:ValueGroup>
    How to define a data type with a ":" in its name or to convert it to the required tag?
    B)   <gdt:ExtendedAttribute gdt:guid="4c102d6b077de7c1f0e27391e40bb80f" gdt:code="X01" >GR2 LI3</gdt:ExtendedAttribute>
    This one is a real nice one. The part with "gtd:guid=" within the tag is variable. How to add such values into tag names?
    Any ideas if this is possible with standard and how.
    If this is the limit of XI I think we need an XSLT- or JAVA-maping program to generate the required file.
    Thank you for any help!
    Best regards
    Dirk

    Hi Dirk,
    just one thing:
    >>>>The part with "gtd:guid=" within the tag is variable.
    this is ok as it's just an attribute
    of the ExtendedAttribute tag's name
    so it can be variable without any problems
    (you can fill it in the mapping for example)

  • Problem with child tag - Could not resolve x to a component implementation.

    Hello.
    I am writing some chart component and got a problem setting property via child tag. Property is a custom class.
    My directory structure:
    Makefile  oxcharts  Session.vim  stats.as  stats.mxml  stats.swf
    ./oxcharts:
    ColumnChart.as MyTest.as
    stats.mxml:
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" xmlns:oxcharts="oxcharts.*">
        <oxcharts:ColumnChart id="myChart" showDataTips="true" width="600" height="310">
            <oxcharts:test x="5"></oxcharts:test>
         </oxcharts:ColumnChart>
    </mx:Application>
    ColumnChart.as:
    package oxcharts {
        public class ColumnChart extends UIComponent {
            public var test:MyTest;
    MyTest.as:
    package oxcharts {
        public class MyTest {
            public var x:Number;
    I got this error:
    Error: Could not resolve <oxcharts:test> to a component implementation.
    I guess something wrong with imports. Setting Number property via child tag works just fine.

    I'm gonna give a clerear example, I hope it'll help you better understand what I mean let's say I have a custom class named Login:
    package ec
             [Bindable]
         public class Login
              public var ID:int;
              public var Role:String;
              public function Login()
    And I need to use this class within MyAmazingCanvas, so my main app will be like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" xmlns:oxcharts="ec.*">
         <mx:Script>
              <![CDATA[
                   import ec.Login;
                   [Bindable]
                   private var myLoginStatus:Login=new Login();
                   private function setLoginData():void{
                        myLoginStatus.ID=myID.text
                        myLoginStatus.Role=myRole.text;
              ]]>
         </mx:Script>
         <oxcharts:MyAmazingCanvas id="myCustomComp" myPublicNumber="323" LoginStatus="{myLoginStatus}" />
         <mx:TextInput id="myID" />
         <mx:TextInput id="myRole" />
         <mx:Button id="setData" label="Set Data" click="setLoginData()" />
    </mx:Application>
    When I said at the top level I meant outside the scope of any function, altough is not a requierement, you can as well set it at a function level.

  • Problem with custom tag attribute types

    Hi,
    I try to figure out how to pass an attribute to a custom tag that is of a type other than "String"?
    In my case, I should pass an attribute with a type of "java.util.ResourceBundle".
    My tag looks like this:
    <tt:cs sel="ab" ce="<%= java.util.ResourceBundle.getBundle("de", Application.getApp().getLocale())%>" />
    I always get the message that the attribute ce is empty.
    Isn't it possible to have attirbutes that are of an other type than string? How could I solve this problem?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards Patrick

    In JSP 1.2, in the Tag Library Descriptor, you can specify a tagt attribute as
    <attribute>
       <name>attr1</name>
       <required>true|false|yes|no</required>
       <rtexprvalue>true|false|yes|no</rtexprvalue>
       <type>fully-qualified_type</type>
    </attribute> Notice the XML element <type>fully-qualified_type</type>
    Not sure if you can do this in JSP 1.1

  • Problem with custom tag using TagExtraInfo

              Hi,
              I have a tag that create a Java variable using TEI. The scope of this
              variable is driving me crazy. The problem is hard to describe, so the
              email is a bit long - stay with me...
              <pre:setvar id="foo" value="test" /> create a Java variable
              named "foo", which has String value "test". I can use "foo" like this in
              the page later: <%= foo %>.
              Now, if I call setvar twice with same id:
              <pre:setvar id="foo" value="test" />
              <pre:setvar id="foo" value="another-test" />
              This is still ok. By checking the compiled Java file, the first call
              declare the var, the second call just use it without creating it again:
                   //first call
                   String foo=null;
                   foo="test";
                   //second call
                   foo="another test";
              Now the problem comes when the frist call is in "if" statement (code is not
              useful, only for demostration):
              <% if (1>0) { %>
                   <pre:setvar id="foo" value="test" />
              <% } %>
              <pre:setvar id="foo" value="another-test" />
              The compiled code looks like:
                   if (1>0) {
                        //first call
                        String foo=null;
                        foo="test";
                   //second call
                   foo="another test";
              Variable foo is out of scope at the second call! (BTW, I can workaround this by
              adding another <pre:setvar id="foo" value="" /> before the "if".)
              Is it a fault in JSP specification? Or a problem when WebLogic implements TEI?
              Any idea?
              Thanks,
              -- Jin

  • Problem with Grouping Tag in iTunes

    Hi,
    I am trying to use getID3 to read the 'Grouping' tag from iTunes. It would seem that iTunes is writing these tags to my MP3 files, as, when I open them in Media Rage the Grouping Tag shows up OK. However, when I then upload the tracks to my server and use 'content_group_description' to read these tags (the getid3 code for the 'Grouping' tag, nothing shows up. If however, I change the Grouping Tag in Media Rage, and then re-upload, the Grouping Tag does show up.
    I wonder if someone could help me troubleshoot why this is happening. I would rather not have to retag all of my files in Media Rage if possible.
    Thanks,
    Nick

    After further investigation it would seem that the Grouping Tag is preserved such that getid3 can read it for the original files in my iTunes library.  The problem occurs with files are converted using iTunes (from higher bitrate to lower bitrate MP3s).  For these files, the Grouping Tag shows up in Media Rage, but cannot be read by getid3.  If anyone has an idea why this might be, and what I can do to resolve this issue, I'd be glad to hear of it.
    Thanks,
    Nick

  • Problem with ID3 tags in iTunes

    I was hoping that I could get some clarification on how iTunes uses ID3 tags with mp3s. The problem I am having is that I have fixed all the ID3 tags on my mp3s using another program (Tag & Rename is the name of the program, it does both v1 and v2 ID3 tags) but iTunes still doesn't recognize the changes I have made. I have tried deleting my entire library, and readding all the songs, but for some reason it still has the wrong information. I tried opening the files with other music players, and they read the ID3 tags fine.
    Thanks in advance!
    I don't know if this helps, but the most noticable program is with my compilations. I changed all the artists to the actual artist name instead of "Various" that it used to say, but iTunes still reports the artist as "Various".

    I routinely change file names, change ID3 tags, and edit existing tracks using external programs. Once done, all I do is to double click the track in iTunes to ensure it reads updated ID3 tag info correctly from the track.
    1. iTunes reads track info from the file everytime you play a track and saves any changes that you have made through external software to its internal database at "C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl" and "iTunes Music Library.xml". As an alternative to playing, you could also press Ctrl-I to display track info, at which time it reads updated info from the track and displays it.
    2. If the filename has been changed for a track, iTunes prompts you to point to the right filename. When done, it populates ID3 tag info, while retaining the playcount and rating.
    Hope this helps.
