Problems with javascript not working correctly, have firefox version 15.0.1. Javascript enabled in tools option. What else should I be looking at?
Certain websites do not load correctly, the webpage sometimes does not display. Upgraded to current version of Java, this did not solve the problem. The most blatant thing I noticed is that when I hit the plus button to open a new tab, the page that displays displays my nine most favorite websites, all nine have descriptions, but only two or three display the actual web page.
I also have hotmail and when I try to load some pages directly from the e-mail I get the message Javascript needs to be enabled.
Are you using any cleanup software like CCleaner that might cleanup the cache?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

For the last few weeks I have had constant problems with pages not working. I.E.: I cannot fill in writeable fields, click on buttons... or anything... nothing on the page works. And, this is not exclusive to a particular site. It does seem to be a browser issue, because I can work well in Explorer.
Both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

I encountered a problem with some client machines that use Firefox version 24ESR and IE8.
Ajax requests of aspx pages from Firefox are getting the following error from the iis server (iis version 7.5):
Bad Request - Request Too Long
HTTP Error 400. The size of the request headers is too long.
From analyzing the request that was sent to the server, I saw that the request consist of only the viewstate of the aspx page.
I tried to disable the viewstate for one page and the server got the request correctly.
I do not encounter any issues on these laptops with postback requests from Firefox or when running the same application with IE8.Sometimes that means that the page address sent is loo long.
Check the link address you are using.
I can't help you further and will send for more help. -
I downloaded the latest iTunes version and now get the following error message: "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes." Can anyone provide suggestions on what I should do next?
Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now? -
Paypal button not working correctly in Firefox but does with IE
On the Donate page of www.jnh-goneriding.org are several Paypal buttons with drop down options. When you choose anything other than the first line and click on Buy Now - when it goes to the next screen it only shows the first line - not the line you picked in the drop down.
This works correctly in Internet Explorer.Firefox will show the link if nothing is blocking it...
In case an ad blocker, script blocker, or another extension is involved, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Any difference? -
"back" button does not work correctly in Firefox 4. I have downgraded because of this.
Our intranet has a page (1) from which user generates a list of links to other items (page2). Follow one of these links to page (3). Press "back" - returns to page (1) not page (2). Works ok in Firefox 3.6.17.

Index does not work correctly in Firefox
I use WebHelp in Robohelp and had created my Index with the
index wizard. I recently had complaints about wrong topics opening
when using the index. This does not happen with content. I have not
looked closer at search to see if it is happening here.
When I went back to troubleshoot, I discovered that all the
links were correct. Further investigation showed that the problem
was only happening in Firefox not in IE. The problem also did not
occur all the time. I then realized that it was isolated to topics
within books or secondary level topics. The first time that you
click on a link that is a sublevel in your TOC it would go to the
main topic (book level). The breadcrumb only shows that level. But
the next time you would click on a link it would go one level
further (topic page level). So, if you clicked on the link twice,
the first time it would go to the level above and the second time
it would go to the correct level. (First click breadcrumb AA>BB
and the second click AA>BB>CC. The first click should take it
to the second example, not the first.) This only happens in Firfox.
I am viewing it in Firefox 3.0.1. Is there a work around for this?
I do not know how to correct it. The only solution I have is to
eliminate the index altogether which would not be fun since I also
have a custom created skin that includes the index that would need
to be redesigned.Welcome to the forum.
When you say delete the index, I think you mean delete the
TOC?
This is a known problem with Firefox. You have books with
links to topics. If you remove those and have the required topic
immediately below the book, the problem will go away.

History does not work correctly in Firefox when setting base tag?
It looks like there's a bug in history.js that makes Firefox work incorrectly with History when the <base> tag is set in the HTML that runs the Flex object.
We are not using the Flex-generated HTML, because of the way our application is built and one of the things that is different in the HTML that we run the Flex object in is the presence of the <base> tag.
The <base> tag is set in our case to http://www.ufxbank.com/fr, and the full URL of the page with Flex is http://www.ufxbank.com/fr/trading.aspx.
What happens is that the function setDefaultURL in history.js in its "if (browser.firefox || browser.opera)" part makes a call to "window.location.replace" with the value of "#", which in our case replaces the location to "http://www.ufxbank.com/fr/#", which brings a different page in the browser.
I had to replace the code in history.js to be "var newloc = window.location + "?#" + def;" instead of the original "var newloc = "#" + def;".
Does anyone has a better solution?
Is it a bug in the template that should be fixed?Welcome to the forum.

Problems with EVGET not Returning Correct Results
We have several reports with EVGETs that are not working. It seems to be limited to gets on a particular datasrc when getting members at the base level. Here is an example.
Application: Budgeting
Deptid: D_07104
Account: A_612080
Product: P_070040
Project: PJ_NOPROJ
Time: 2009.APR
Datasrc; ACTUALS
Category: INPUT
At this point, all the members above are base level members. A standard EVGET will not return results at this intersection even though there is data. If we change any of the following (Deptid, product, time, or category) to a parent level member, data will be returned. Another action we can take to get data to return is open a new worksheet and write the same EVGET on the same intersection and it will return results. If we go back to the original sheet edit each formula and hit enter it will return the correct results. If we refresh the sheet, the results will disappear. We have also tried EVGTS and get similar results.
Another thing we have tried is copying a month of data from datasrc (ACTUALS) and category (INPUT) to datasrc (NEW_ACTUALS) and category (NEW_INPUT) through the BPC delivered copy. That seems to work. I don't know if the copy does something to load the data that we are missing. We also updated our fact table with a SQL update changing the datasrc and category the same way and processed the application and the data would return through some EVGETs and not others.This issue can happen when you have for onde dimension multiple hierachies and something is wrong into hierachies.
Usually you have dimension formula where you are trying to do calculation of a member from H1 using members from H2.
This it is an example but it can be other possible errors.
Any way for sure your issue is related to one dimension having multiple hierachies.

Problems with iOS6 not updating correctly
I recentely upgraded my iPhone 4 with iOS6. However several of the features seem to not have been installed/upgraded, such as Facebook which still has version 3.3.3 Is there something that I need to do in order to 'unlock' all the features?
Some changes (minor) have taken effect, but several other features are still missing.
I've tried uninstalling/installing Facebook but it always comes up with the same version 3.3.3
Any ideas on what I should do?
Thank you!Are you using any cleanup software like CCleaner that might cleanup the cache?

Why does adobe flash not work correctly in firefox when playing face book games?
when playing the facebook games the game is not loading correctly when I use Firefox but it does when I use IE. the game screen seems to not fit in the windows correctly.
Run the Flash Player Uninstaller as applicable for your machine(i.e.Windows or MAC) and remove flash player.
For MAC : http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
For Windows : http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
Restart the machine.
Download and Re-install Flash Player.
Restart the browser and check.

Indexing not working correctly in desktop version
We have a tool which generates output as a PDF document. One of our customers has a requirement for this output to be indexed so that they can browse using the bookmark menu at the left of the screen.
When viewing the output document in a browser window (I use FireFox) the links work correctly, and link to the correct page. When saving the file however, and opening it in the desktop version of Reader (typically by double-clicking), the index fails to link to the correct page.
Further investigation reveals a spill-over pagebreak between pages 2 and 3 of our output, and this is what the desktop version of Reader is not picking up when generating its index. The FireFox plugin version picks it up fine.
Our workaround is obviously to tell our customers to open their saved output in their browser window, but this is an issue that needs fixing nonetheless.
Regards,
StormbrookSadly, mentioning things in a forum isn't a report and the chances of Adobe staff seeing it or acting on it are negligible. There is a bug report forum. This does seem to get to Adobe (though they never seem to reply or acknowlege). Clearly an actual bug report would need to give a specific problem PDF, describe what it does, and describe what you think it SHOULD do.
That said, I don't think you are describing a bug. The behaviour of links in Adobe Reader is quite well understood, and there is nothing to fix. Links are always to a rectangular region of the page, and Reader always makes that rectangle visible. It sounds as if your software is generating links that are not making the best use of a rectangle. You say "when Reader is...generating its index" and that rather baffles me. Reader doesn't generate indexes. The index is already present and fixed in the PDF. -
Does anyone have problems with volume not working right
Having issues with iphone 4s . the volume has a mind of its own and does not let siri work properly and you cannot hear phone calls . anyone having this issue ?
Yes - I just posted a similar question, but I have a 5s with 7.0.3.
It is randomly operating itself, like someone is pressing random keys on the phone. It will do it for a little bit and then just stop on its own. If you touch the screen, it is unresponsive and then will randomly go crazy again. -
Problem with PHP not working and Extra space in form I can't get rid of
This is my first time doing a form, much less using php. I would appreciate your help on the problems below.
1. in the form when you go to the website there is too much vertical spacing between the form fields.
2.the Message field has script inside that vistors can see.
3. on hitting the submit button it redirects me to a blank page and not the thankyou.html page that I had created.
4. the form doesn't send the email to [email protected]

</html>The below should work for you.
As Jon points out the page has to be a .php page NOT a .html page.
The idea is that the page gets sent back to itself and the form information is processed then sent to the email address if there are no errors detected.
The unusual gaps in the form were being caused by unclosed tags amongst other things - hopefuly I put some of it right for you.
Copy all of the below and save it as contact.php - Obviously your server needs to support php for it to work, most do. I have not specified your email address in the php as it attracts spam from the forum so re-instate it where the xxxxxxx are.
<?php
if (array_key_exists('submit', $_POST)) {
// check name field
$name = trim($_POST['name']);
if (empty($name)) {
$error['name'] = 'Please provide your name';
elseif ($name == 'Please provide your name') {
$error['name'] = '';
// check phone field
$phone = trim($_POST['phone']);
if (empty($phone)) {
$error['phone'] = 'Please provide your phone number';
elseif ($phone == 'Please provide your phone number') {
$error['phone'] = '';
// check email field
$email = trim($_POST['email']);
if (empty($email)) {
$error['email'] = 'Please enter your email address';
elseif ($email == 'Please enter your email address') {
$error['email'] = '';
// check enquiry field
$message = trim($_POST['message']);
if (empty($message)) {
$error['message'] = 'Please enter your message details';
elseif ($message == 'Please enter your message details') {
$error['message'] = '';
if (!empty($_POST['ufo'])) { return false; }
// recipient
$to = "xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx"; //email address -- change to your own email address
// email subject
$subject = "I am interested in your services, please contact me";
// sender
$sender = "From: ".$_POST['email']."\r\n";
// build message
$enquiry = "Name: $name\n\n";
$enquiry .= "Phone Number: $phone\n\n";
$enquiry .= "Email Address: $email\n\n";
$enquiry .= "Message: $message\n\n";
// send email if no form erorrs
if (!isset($error)) {
mail($to, $subject, $enquiry, $sender);
header("Location: thankyou.html"); //Redirect page -- change to your own page
