  • Problem with MSI Board and MSI Geforce 4 with Windows XP

    I have a MSI 845E Max(MS-6566E)

                  Celeron 1.7 gig
                  Soundblaster Live
                  2 Network Cards
                  and the usual stuff.
I have loaded Windows 98 on my system and it works fine. But then I load Windows XP on and the system starts rebooting. After it reboots my video resets itself and I have to load it back in. I will then reboot and sometimes it will work, sometimes it will not. I try playing a game or even searching the net for awhile, but out of the blue the system will give a very quick blue screen and reboot. And of course when it boots up the video is reset. I loaded all the drivers I could find on MSI's website and used every video driver made by Nvidia and MSI. If I do a Windows XP update to my system the computer will not even boot up. it will just keep rebooting when it is trying to bring up the login screen.  Anyone else run into this with Windows XP?

My system sometime freezes. Why ???

  • USB problem with K7T266 pro2 RU

I have a MS intelli mouse optical. It connects via USB. About 10 times per hour the cursor freezes and the mouse shuts off. I have to unplug the mouse and plug it back in and it starts to work again. This gets very annoying. I am running a clean install of win xp pro. And have recently done a format. It happened before and after the reinstallation of XP. It does not matter if the mouse is plugged into the USB ports by the keyboard connector or the add in USB 2 card. It happens in both places.
Anyone else have this problem or anyone know a fix to it?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello there,
I have bought a mobo yesterday (848p NEO V) then when I tried to plug the graphic card (Ge Force FX 5600 point of view) the computer reboots just before entering Win XP PRO.
So I tried another graphic card (ATI 9200), all worked fine.
In the same way, I tried my GeForce in another mobo (ECS P4VXAS) and of course all worked fine.
Each time I tried the MSI mobo with the GeForce card (using diffrents drivers), it doesn't work.
Does someone know where could this problem come from?
    Thank you very much

  • Problems with K7t266 Pro2 and Soundblaster live 5.1

    Hi all,
having a bit of a problem here with the above combination K7T266 pro2 and SB live5.1.
When playing music, watching video etc. every now and then I get something that sounds like bus noise, just for a few seconds and then the music continues, sometimes it also happens that video stops during the few seconds.
I have latest bios on mainboard, latest drivers for SB live, Via chipset, latest GPU drivers.
I tried changing IRQ's, took all other cards out, etc.
Nothing seems to work and it is getting very annoying. :(  :(
    Anyone any tips or tricks??
    Thanx

  • Problems with combo KT3 ARU and GeForce 4?

Have been using GeForce 2MX with driver 30.82 w/out problems. When istalling ASUS  ;(  V8440, a GeForce 4 with Ti 4400 my screen goes bananas. Gets strange patterns even at BIOS startup. Hangs in WinXP. Starts in Safe-mode but still with strange patterns.
Heard rumors  ?(  that the problem might lie in the combo VIA and nVidia?
Have given up on the GeForce 4 unless someone can give me a hint of what might be wrong.

What drivers are you using for the GeForce 4? Quote
Using nVidia 30.82, and yes, the mascine runs in safe mode (occationally), but with patterns. Usually grouped like this:

A guy at a local PC-store said something about it when I explained my problem. He had no solution and might be wrong.

  • Problem between K7T266 Pro2-RU and ASUS GeForce 3 V8200

    Hi, i've installed an ASUS GeForce 3 V8200 in my K7T266 Pro2-RU.
The system starts correctly, but when i force the AGP from BIOS at 4x all games doesn't run very well...
I usually play games like UT or RTCW and when i run they i see many problem with the 3D rendering and shadow build...

I think i'll follok the Toenne suggest. The difference between the AGP 2x and 4x is very small, anyway my drivers are (un)installed correctly and i don't have any PCI card near the AGP slot. Instead i think that in the future i'll pay more attention at the temperature problem: my Athlon XP 2000+ is  hot also with a good copper cooler...
Another questios is, can anyone help me to find the best BIOS settings for my system?

  • Problems with FCP and Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT video card

Not sure if this should be in the MacBook Pro forum or this one...
I am having trouble with the GeForce 8600M GT video card while editing in final cut pro (and after effects). I have talked with numerous people at applecare, but they say that they are unaware of issues regarding the video card.
The problem: It's almost like the card is unable to keep up with professional video applications. Whenever there is movement in the video I'm editing, I get lines across the screen. Not sure to how better to explain it than to say it looks like the video card is having a tough time refreshing. (I can take the same video to a much older power book, and it plays perfectly, so its not the source file.)
At first I thought it was an FCP issue, but I just started using after effects, and I'm having the same problem in there. If I edit in after effects, when I play it back (in after effects), I get the lines. I can then export the project to a quicktime file. The quicktime file plays perfectly (no lines) when not involved with a professional application. Then if I import the same quicktime file into FCP and play it back in FCP, the lines happen again.
Is anyone esle having this problem? Any thoughts? Any solutions?
    Thanks!
    Michael

I had searched the macbook pro forum, but not this one. It seems that the "screen tearing" issue has been talked about a lot, so I apologize for the repetitive nature of the post. I will say that I am fairly shocked that given how many people have clearly called applecare, no one there seems to have a clue that there is a problem with this video card. I have talked with at least 4 different people in the FCP specialty group, and not one had any clue what I was talking about... 3 of the 4 were fairly insistent that it was a video source issue on my side.

  • Problems with Nvidia GeForce 210 and windows 8.1

Hi all, I have Windows 8.1 Pro update 1 64bit installed, two weeks ago I started giving problems graphics card NVidia (even has me
    given several blue screen).
I tried to update the drivers for the card but I got the same problem. It was working properly with generic
drivers, and if I went to Computer Administrator me a yellow triangle appeared
on my graphics card and the properties told me the following:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.
    (Code 43 )
    My machine is as follows:
    Mainboard : Asus P5K SE
    Chipset: Intel P31/P35
    Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2400MHz
    Physical Memory : 3072MB (3 x 1024 DDR2- SDRAM)
Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT
    Hard Disk : Seagate ST3320620AS ATA Device (320GB )
    Monitor Type: LG Electronics L1919S
    I just formatted
     the computer from scratch, and
I still had the same problem with the graphics card,
so I imagined it would be a hardware problem
    and bought NVIDIA GeForce 210.
    In the end I
upgraded to Windows 8.1 update 1 with
the latest drivers for the GeForce 210,
and after 6 days running everything correctly, a few days ago
    returned to give me problems,
the screen sometimes freezes and will not
let me do anything and after a while
giving me a blue screen and reboots
me, I suspect that the graphics drivers
are giving me problems, and I had to
disable the graphics card and work with
generic drivers from Microsoft, and even then I
    was restarted once.
I installed Driver Booster and all the drivers are updated.
    Could
     anyone analyze
dump files dmp ? Download here
    I got another dmp:
C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP  but it is too heavy.
    Thanks

yes, I check the dump files
this cause by graphic card, on which graphic card you reformat your PC and update
.NET framework maybe cause this driver corrupted
my suggestion is try using internal graphic card, just for testing
Just in case you don't believe me, please check this dump file

  • Problem with Geforce 2 MX400 Tv Out

Okay. I know this card is old to new standards, but I am having a problem with the TV Out.
    This is the setup.
AMD XP1700+ machine running Win ME using an 8meg ATI Rage XL PCI as the primary video card. The secondary video card is the Geforce which is running Powerpoint in secondary mode for Worship Services at our church. Our church has grown and has decided to place powerpoint televisions on the stage for the singers. I am trying to get the Geforce TV Out to work, but when I go into the advanced settings, I cannot select the output device to TV Out, it is grayed out. All I can have it on is Analog Output.
I have also tried this with the Geforce as the Primary adapter as well. Same problem. I have downloaded the drivers many times, and removed the card, removed the drivers, same problem.
    PLEASE HELP ME!!!
    Thanks in advance
    John Baltimore.

have you tried the autodetect button? the tv must be on (and connected to the tv-out) for this to work.

  • Graphics Corruption in Some Apps - Problem with Geforce GT750

    Hi
I am recently facing a graphics corruption problem with my 2013 MBPr. Yesterday I noticed that the window that shows the mail in Mail.app suddenly showed just some noise (just some strange colors). I restarted the app and it was gone. Then I installed a game named "Tales from the Borderlands". On the menu of the game I noticed the corruption again. Every time I would exit and rerun the game, the distortion would randomly change. Here are some examples:
The problem appeared throughout the game too.
Then I forced "Integrated Only" using a gfxCardStatus to use Intel Iris Pro instead of Geforce GT750. I started the game and the problem was gone. I tried some more times again by switching GPUs and every time I noticed that the problem is with Geforce GT750 and Intel Iris Pro has no problem.
Any ideas what is causing the problem and what should I do? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Tormirez,
I can't believe my eyes.. I actually was afraid this might happen.
Since I've been following the 2011 MBP forum after i had my MBP repaired (reflow by someone near Antwerp, Belgium), I've been learning some specific things about the very likely nature of these GPU issues.
All these issues seem to be related to the replacement of leaded solder by nearly pure tin solder + not soldering according to the best profile (temperature vs time).
The factor of time saving = money saving may very well play a role here.
When you consider the nature of that leaded solder problem versus the soldering profiles, it's not hard to imagine that the problem isn't just in the 2011 model range, but may actually have started FROM that range...! I've already heard that some 2012 models also failed in a similar way.
It may all be quite logical; tin solder needs a roughly 60ºC higher temperature to get into full liquid state then leaded solder.
As the cheapest way to produce boards is probably rolling entire boards through ovens, melting the parts on it, it would require very precise monitoring of temperatures UNDER the CPU and GPU, to be SURE you have a full flow going on.
But, at the same time, as you're cooking ALL components around 240ºC, they may have chosen not to stay at this temperature long enough. Or, maybe they stop at 240ºC, while 242ºC might be the minimum required temperature to guarantee full flow.
Etc.. It's a very complicated mix of factors that determines if small or large batches of board could contain errors at all or not.
But it may at least be called "bizarre" that these solder errors are found in tens of thousands 2011 MBPs, but also in 2012 models, and in the PS4 and also other brand Windows PCs!!
If you want to test your GPU hard, download GpuTest OSX x64 0.7.0 from ( geeks3d . com / gputest ) and run the FurMark based stress test on HD resolution for 30-60 mins straight, then turn your machine off completely for 15-30 mins (until it's really cold, put it down on some cold stone floor might help), then repeat several times.
If the same problem would be hidden in there as in the 2011 models, this is the way to get it triggered soon.
If you ask me, this might be the first report of the same problem in the 2013 series.....
Question; do you game a lot? If you answer yes, then it would pretty much make a connection to this similar problem I think!
I'm curious about the results of the stress test!

    Please give me an answer.
My computer is a Toshiba satellite U500-1DZ, intel i5
    Thank you

Hi, thank you for your answers.
I have updated the last nvdia driver, the new bios and everything I found on this website, but It doesn't change anything...
Apparently I'm not the only one to have this problem, but I don't know if it comes from Toshiba or from Nvdia.
Do you know if it's normal to have four times "NVDIA High definition Audio" in the audio/video/games controllers ?
When I seactivated it it's a litlle bit less worth (but still not good)...
    I'm using a preinstalled windows 7 64 bit version
    Thank you !

  • Geforce have problem with driver

Sorry i cant find any related to Geforce 3 Ti200, so i use Geforce 4 ti as it topic fronties. Currently i am using Geforce Ti200, after i install ur website driver Nvidia VGA Driver 45.32 for Win2000/XP/Server2003, it just very often keep my pc hang at the time, if i no use this driver, i cant play certain game, do u mind tell me what to do? Why this driver caused a lot of problem to my pc? Is it somekind of bug, can u release new driver to fix it?

No MSI employees work in this forum, this is a user to user help forum only.
As far as the drivers for the Ti-200, there were users reporting problems with later drivers in this forum. If you do a search of the VGA forum, I'm sure you'll find the threads related to this issue.
I suggest going here http://ftp://download1.nvidia.com/Windows/ and try that version instead of MSI drivers. You may not be successful however. I suggest using "Driver Cleaner" found here http://www.driverheaven.net follow the directions supplied with the download and found on the website.
If you are not successfull, then you may have to upgrade your video card.

  • Minor problem with geforce ti4200 128 mb

Ok... The problem I get with this card is that, you know when you go to
display properties > advanced > Geforce > overlay controls
you get to change the brightness and stuff, when I do, it doesnt work. Now I tried this with my TNT2 card and it works fine so I don't think its any hardware issue... Anyways, help is appreciated thanks!
BTW, I am running in windows XP and have the latest detonator drivers and graphics drivers.

    Hi,
I have the same card and have used it with no problems whatsoever on an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe and an MSI K7N420, MSI K7N2G-ILSR and my current ABIT board without any problems with 3DTurDo or in any games. I have seen the  "nv4disp.dll" before on other systems sporadically but it was usually cured by a proper removal of the current nVidia drivers and installation of the latest drivers, however, I have not used the latest nVidia drivers for that card. I have stuck with later versions from 41.09 - 45.XX only. It is most likely a combination of drivers, improper configuration, driver istallation and removal, or possibly the game itself could be buggy. That's a tough one to pin down.
Give my post at the top of the VGA forum a read  "Alternative to MSI drivers with overclock settings too!"
Do yourself a favor and stay away from MSI's drivers, I have seen more problems with them as they make changes to install and uninstall routines that are questionable, not to mention they test them in such a way I also might find questionable as well. nVidia's site has an archive of past drivers and so does Driver Heaven.
If you decide to reformat again, I recommend installing service packs, then chipset drivers, then VGA drivers.
    Good luck
