Problems with language support (interpunction)

Hi, i am writing screenplays in slovak language and i have encountered a serious problem with interpunction in Adobe Story. There are few letters that are not working. Concretely ľ,š,č,ť,ž. Other ones in the same row (ý,á,í,é) are working correctly. Please correct me if i am doing something wrong but i couldnt figure out solution to this problem alone so i am writing here. My tools: Win7, current version of Google Chrome, online version of St (standalone app has the same issue). Are you planning to fix this issue and if then when? I am using different solution to writing scripts, Adobe Story looks definitely better but without proper interpunction i cant use it. Thanks for answer.

ES is the Language for spanish..But the Flat file should have to represent 'S' for Spanish.
Check in Table T002 for the symbols which represent Languages and that to be used in flat file.

Hi,
try to work on the charecter code set UTF-8 or UTF-16. You can define this in html.
Or encode the charecter using java script.

hello all first of all please accept my apologies for my bad english language .I'm an American who lived outside of America since childhood. i hope you understand me . i am one of the apple fans that many times i contact with apple support team for solving my itunes problems, some of supports were great But on other side there are many employee in the apple company that they just give us some PREPARED answers without thinking about what i ask them !
i want to report my problem here to get rid of those useless persons and ofcourse those weak answers in the apple company. before of explaining my problem , let me tell you a short thread:
some months ago i bought one microsoft XBOX live CODE to charge my LIVE account , i bought that from a retail store at France. Code was redeemed before i buy that , that was obvious that seller had decide to scam me with a used voucher ! and he did not accept my words and he just needed proof. so i go to microsoft.com on support section then i start talking with online chat support
please help me to solve my problem , please tell me that how i can report some one on apple?

hi bleach i explain whole the story in the post 1 but the forum moderator removed that and this time he EDIT my thread.
i bought 3 iTunes code and i want to know the date and time of redeeming, this issue happened to me manytimes in the past and each time apple support answered me with the time of redeeming of the code.
but some times some persons in apple support they don't help me and they don't give me date and time of redeeming ! and they just give me some prepaid and Irrelevant answers.
all i want to say is that many persons in apple are useless really, and we have report their weak support.

Instalation Disc Missing, problem with language setup

I have problem with installation of windows 7 home premium (x64). I got licence for polish edition of your OS. Now i was forced to reinstall this, but i lost my disc. I have found an english wersion of installation disc, so i thought hell yeah i will install
this and switch language later as many yours and external help sites says.
Well of course it can't be that easy, BECAUSE YOU HAVE BLOCKED LANGUAGE CHANGE in this particular OS.
So i would like to ask, can you provide a download link for polish installation disc for win home premium (x64)? (I have found lot of possible language versions but not polish)
By the way i have also tried to install language pack manually. What a suprise your clean fresh installed OS deletes any *.cab files, including the ones stored on external drives. I have my own *. cab packages with my personal files witch were also deleted
and if i had'nt made a backup - i would be seriously angry.

Problem with configuration supporting point in MD62

Hi,
well I have detected a problem with my planned independent requirements for some materials.
The materials that are concerned are semifinished product which have an active BOM.
Example :
material A composed with material B and C.
On the material A I have the strategy group 54. For these materials I have "VSE" PIR.
The problem is that for many materials, the VSE needs can not be seen by components.
Example, on material A, I have a VSE need on 15.02.2010, MRP generates a planned order on 15.02.2010 on material A. No problem but I have in MD04 an alert 52 for these PO.
I go to material B or C in MD04 and I don't see any needs ! The planned order needs have not been splitted to the components.
I have seen that if I go to MD62 for material A and if I click on "Configuration supporting point", everything is OK after next MRP Run but the problem seems to go back after few days.
The strange thing is that it works perfectly for some materials and it doesn't work for others materials although there is no differences between data of these materials !
Finally, I have to say that program RM60RR20 is turning every night and I have seen that there are some calls to function DELETE_SUPPOINT. Maybe this program is deleting the supporting point but it should recreate the supporting point after...
Is there anybody which know how this program is working or why sometimes my supporting point is deleted without being recreate ?

Have you tried typing the query in query manager and are you sure you've selected the correct column? You can check the column name if you switch system information on and verifying the values in the database for that column.

Problems with language in ARFC2

Hi,
after migrating JCO Connections to ARFC2 I have a problem with the messages and textes from the RFC Functions.
Before ARFC2 the messages where in the correct language of the logged in user.
But now in ARFC2 there are only the german messages.
Are there any settings, that the language of the user should be used?

V5.01 update problem with language

I have an English operating system but am resident in Switzerland. After updating from 5.0 to 5.01 my iTunes interface changed from English to German and no matter what I do I cannot switch it back to English. Any ideas?

iTunes 5: Changing the display language in Windows
iTunes 5 for Windows includes multiple language support in a single installation, eliminating the need for separate language-specific versions.
When you first install iTunes 5, you will be prompted to choose a language as the first step in the installation process. Please note that this option only affects the language that's displayed for the installation instructions. Once you install iTunes, the interface will automatically display the language you've selected in the Regional and Language Options control panel.
If you'd like to change the language that iTunes displays, you can do so easily by following these steps:
Quit iTunes.
On the Start menu, click Control Panel. (Windows 2000 users: On the Start menu, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.)
Open the Regional and Language Options panel.
Click the Regional Options tab.
Select the language you'd like iTunes to use from the Language list.
Open iTunes.

Hi Mahesh,
This problem what your facing is typical of implementing of support packages. Mahesh , there is a problem with the import . What you can do is reimport the Support Package thru OS level.
tp import <support patch> <sid> pf=\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_ACD.PFL tag=spam -Dclientcascade=yes -Drepeatonerror=8
After You Import Restart the Server by stopping SAP. hope this solves your problem

Problems with technical support in Argentina

Hello,
I'm having a bit of trouble with my "AppleCare Extended Service" here in Argentina, and I wondered if someone was kind enough to help me understand.
I've recently had problems with my MacBook Pro's HD. It just died. I had to connect my laptop to another Mac, and use Disk Warrior in Target Disk mode to recover my info.
After that, I tried formatting my HD in Target Disk Mode using Disk Utility, so that I could reinstall the system. No luck, it whould just show error messages, and sometimes it would not even show up at all.
I also tried booting my MBP from the DVD but it would not read the DVD at all for some reason.
Anyway, my real problem is that I have "AppleCare Extended Service" so I imagined it would be just about replacing the HD. I took the laptop to an official reseller, which offers support. They told me I was covered by the guarantee.
A few days later I get a call, and they tell me that they have to charge me around $50 because my HD is ok, and the guarantee does not cover the software. I told them I didn't ask for any changes to the software, and they told me it was either $50 to fix it, or $20 to get it back untouched.
I got a few emails from the technician explaining to me that the MacBook Pro was OK, but after a few mails back and forth, he told me that the computer had a defective DVD drive, covered by guarantee, and "serious communication problems" between the vram and other devices, which required a firmware update that was not covered by the guarantee.
After fighting a bit over the emails, he told me he was going to replace the optical drive, but put back the original firmware, and charge me nothing for it. But he also said my disk won't work with this original firmware.
Please forgive my very long explanation, but I just wanted to know if this sounds like correct procedure, or if it sounds odd to you as it sounds to me.
Is there any official channel to raise complaints about the way this is being handled?

Problems with language dependent master data

Hi,
I created a InfoObject with language dependent master data and I am trying to upload data from a flat file.
My flat file has a 2 digit language code (EN,DE,FR,JP,ES) and when uploading the data it seems that SAP BW is only using the first digit which leads to the situation that EN and ES get treated as duplicate records.
Any help would be appreciated

Problem with Language translation

Hi All,
     Our project has gone under EHP Upgrade last week,
     But the customer is facing problem with XD03 transaction.
     The problem is, even after logging in Finish the following fields are displayed in English....

Problem with language specific letters in Translation Builder editor

Hello,
I'm trying to translate some reports from Slovenian to Croatian using OTB, but as soon as I scroll up or down through translation form some Croatian language specific letters (čćžšđ) either convert to c (čć) or d (đ) or become "unreadable" (šž). The latest (šž) are displayed correctly on the report when strings are exported back to RDF file.
According Troubleshooting section in OTB help I tried to change both base and translation font but with no success.
Any experience, any hint or trick?

Problem with languages in a servlet

I've created a guestbook servlet that receives requests from an HTML page. When checked it worked fine.
The problems started then I tried to add entries in other languages to the Database. I've noticed that my characters for some reason were replaced with question-marks (?).
The funny part is that when I try to print the '?'s to the response, it gets converted back to letters. The problem is that if I want to work with the text (for instance using String.charAt()) I get only '?'s.
Even worse, when added to the Database and retrieved back, the '?'s don't get converted back to letters anymore! So my output page is full of ????????-???? ???-?????.
I am clueless! maybe it's something with the HTML form, maybe the character-set, I don't know.
Please help, it's urgent. (P.S. The other language is Hebrew)

the problem is with encoding and decoding, from a servlet , running on Tomcat , to Oracle DB.

The problem:
I am using Oracle 8.1.7 DB , in a Charest ISU 8859-9-8 ( Hebrew ), I use a thin client as the JDBC driver .
I have a servlet that all it does is getting and updating one of the table
The character set in the servlet is too , ISO 8859-8 . This is done this way:

I use the doGet method of a servlet to get parameters to retrieve from Oracle. this is done through the URL, for example :

for name= yair, family = fine
There is no problem in getting and inserting English characters.
There is a problem when i try to get or to insert Hebrew characters.
i get ???? in DB , for both if i write yair in the url in Hebrew , or i write yair in %E9%E9%E9%F8 which is the decimal representation
For example , if i insert a string in Hebrew , it looks like this "?????" ( in SQL +)
this is how i get the requests from the url

Problem with non-supported paper sizes

Hi,
I would like to know what happens when paper size suzh as A3 is given to printer for printing, if that A3 paper size is not supported by printer. How it is handled.
Will it print in A4 paper with A3 scaling.

It depends on the printer model and the driver. Typically if a printer does not support A3 format then A3 will not be a choice in the paper settings for the driver.
Some printers do have scaling options that allow automatic scaling from one paper size to another when printing.
