Problems with MagSafe Adapter including sparks
When I plug my adapter into the plug socket I always see white sparks when plugging it into an extension lead. Is that normal or safe?
Also I have been having problems with the magsafe as when plugging it into my Mac Book Pro it doesn't always charge and you have to fiddle around with the wire to get it to start charging or unplug it a few times. I am also finding the magsafe bit is getting extremely hot as is the Mac Book Pro itself. Even when using it for simple web browsing. The CPU sometimes reaches 90° as well.
I have also been experiencing quite a lot of freezing / crashing / lagging on my mac book recently as well. Could this be related?
Should I take this to an apple store?
I have had a similar problem. There are a few questions you might want to answer:
1. Does your MBP have any fraying cables or wires? If so, you should replace the Magsafe power adapter as quickly as possible. This can damage your laptop, eventually.
2. Is your "Magsafe" an original unit? If it's a knock-off, this could account for electrical instability.
3. Does your Magsafe power adapter take power directly from the wall socket, or do you have multiple plugs? Sparks or heat indicate that the adapter is taking in a large amount of energy - that may not be fully grounded.
I mention these questions because I hope to spur more questions, which might eventually solve your problem. I have no idea whether the freezing and crashing is related to your problem, but it's certainly possible. I would strongly suggest writing detailed notes of the problem, and then proceed to the Apple Store.

Hi
We r facing typical problem with file adapter.
Lets say there are 30 files to be processed by placing an copy in arichive folder by file adapter based on pooling
parameters.
All the 30 files are picked up and we can see the copies in archive folder.
But when we go to RWB and check the audit log,
there we could see only 25 files , the 5 files are missing.
no trace found therre about the 5 files.
This is happening only some times and not to all the files placed in the FTP. Later when the same file is placed back from the Archive folder to the Source folder, the file is being picked and processed succesfully.
unfortunately this is happening on Production server
Any pointers which could trouble shoot this issue.

Couple of thing which you can try....
1. Use EOIO QoS and check if you still face the issue.
Is some program or application writing files to the directory? If yes I would recommend the use of a temporary name to write the files and then rename them.
Sometimes when an external application connects via FTP and transfers the files...
The file could be picked up by the adapter poll even before the transfer of data is done.
Which is why you will find that the file is archived but there is no xml message created for the same in the Integration engine.
Try increasing the poll interval. This helps sometimes.

Problem with Lightning Adapter after update to IOS 8.1
Dear all,
last week I updated the Iphone 5S of my wife with IOS 8.1 since that time we can not connect the B&W Bowl via lighning adapter (Original Apple).
Before never any problem. I have the new Iphone 6 but IOS 8.02 and no any problem with same adapter to connect the B&W Bowl.
I also checked in my car same problem with IOS 8.1 we can not connect but with 8.02 no problem.
I contacted the Apple support and it looks it´s a problem with the new IOS 8.1.
Does anybody have the same problems with the connection to Docking Stations etc ?

Problems with JSF and included subviews
Hi everybody,
I' ve got a problem with JSF and included subviews which makes me going
crazy. I've got no clue why my web-pages are represent wrongly. The only
tip I've got is that it must be connected with the kind I do include my JSF-pages.
When I use <%@file="sub.jsp"%> my pages are are represent right. When I use <jsp:include page="Sub.jsp" /> or <c:import url="Sub.jsp" /> ( mark: the usage of flush="true" or flush="false" doesn't matter )
my pages are represent wrongly.
The usage of tags like f:facet or f:verbatim were also included but didn't point to an solution.
I searched the whole Sun Developer Forum and some other web-sites for any solution for my problem but the given hints and clues didn't help. Now I'm trying to post my problem directly in Sun's Forum in hope to get help.
My environment is the following:

many thanks for your post, but it didn't work.
My problem is that the JSF-Components im my included or imported
JSP-Pages does not accept any kind of style or styleClass for
designing. The components take over the informations for colors
but not for alignment.
When I take a look at the generated JAVA-Source in $TOMCAT/WORK/WEBAPP for my sub.jsp ( sub.java )
it seems that the resulting HTML-page would be presented correctly.
But later when I start the application via Firefox or Mozilla the html-sourcecode is totally wrong.
In my example I create a simple grid with 2 rows and 2 columns.
Both columns contains JSF-Outtext-Components and are included with div-tags.
The generated Sub.java shows that the text would be setted in the div-tags. Unfortunately the html-sourcecode represented by my browser shows that jsf-text is not setted in the tags but in the <h:form> tags. The div-tags are neither rounded by <h:form> nor containing the JSF-OutText-Components.
Any clue?

Minor Problem with MagSafe Power Adapter
I got my MBP almost a year ago now (partially why I'm asking the question) and I've noticed that my power adapter doesn't always show the charge light. Sometimes it is not on at all, and sometimes it is less bright in color (both green and amber).
If I remove it and put it back it usually corrects itself.
It if fully functional; even if the light is completely out and plugged in it still shows as charging.
So, is this normal? I never remember having this sort of problem with my PB G4.I would think the led light on my adapter cable was broken, but I discovered it works fine on a co-workers MBP. His adapter, which we know works, does NOT work (ie. the led does not come on) when attached to my computer. This indicate to me that the problem, whatever it is, can sometimes be with the computer and not the adapter.
I would be curious if others with apparently dead leds have tried their chargers on other MBPs.
Here's the long version of my story:
My 5W MagSafe completely fried after only 9 months.
The new adapter was fine for several days until this morning.
My "low battery" warning popped up, so so I plugged it in to recharge and immediately noticed the little led on the charger cord did not come on.
I found it hard to believe that I had another bad adapter, so before making the trip back to the store, I went into the studio where there are some other MBP users.
I plugged my adapter into another laptop and the led came on. It appeared to function completely normally. I tried MagSafe adapters from two other MBPs, but the led did not come on on either of them while attached to my computer.
This made me think there was some sort of problem with the connector on the computer itself. Just visually, it appears to be clean and corrosion free.
The next obvious step, it seemed, would have been to try swapping batteries with the other laptops, but mine is a 17" and everyone else here has 15"... and so we have different battery sizes.
One of the people here at the studio had a little utility called "Coconut Battery", that reports information about the battery health. When I ran it on my laptop, I got what I thought were rather surprising results.
It showed the usual things like current charge (21%), battery capacity and so on. But under "Additional Info" it said "Charger connected: Yes" and "Battery is charging: No".
I figured this narrowed it down to a problem with the battery. But as I was showing these results to my co-worker, the "Current Battery Charge" changed from 21 to 22%. Huh? We left it plugged in and it continued to show a steady climb in the charge, as if it is working normally. Except there is no led light, and the software still says it is not charging. Odd.
I then noticed that the built-in battery level indicator on the status bar was also showing the same increases. The led lights on the back of the battery are indicating an increase as well.
Just out of curiosity, I ran a second battery health analyzer program and again got these conflicting results. This one reported the same battery charge and capacity and so on as the previous one. It also recognized that the laptop was running off of AC power, that there was a battery, but it said "Not Chargeable."
So now I am going to let it continue until I have a full charge and then see if the computer will run as usual from the battery.
I don't think the store here is going to give me another adapter since this one appears to work just fine on the other computers.
Any thoughts on why the led would work on other laptops but not mine?
Why the battery health monitors report that the battery is being charged, but also that it is "not chargeable"? -
Problems with symlinks and include directives
Any files that are included with an include directive from a file that is
contained in a directory that is reached via a soft link do not work
(resource not found error) if the link begins with "../".
directory structure is like this:
docroot/protected/symlinked_dir/subdir1a/subdir2a
docroot/protected/symlinked_dir/subdir1b/subdir2b
if a file in subdir2a tries to include a file in subdir2b then the resource
is not found.
however if I copy the symlinked directory over then it works.
to avoid touching the symlink during the include I changed the structure to:
docroot/protected/symlinked_dir/dummydir/subdir1a/subdir2a
docroot/protected/symlinked_dir/dummydir/subdir1b/subdir2b
The same problem remained. However includes in the same directory and in
child directories work just fine.
Is this a known bug in Weblogic or a misconfiguration of the treatment of
symlinks?

Hi, Thanks for looking at the code.
By messing up I mean the CSS seems to break down a bit. The navigation moves down, the sidebar moves down and across to the right and the whole page moves across to the right side of the browser and the log in form on the top of the page breaks up and there are gaps on the page where they shouldn't be.
It only does it in Explorer.

I am facing some problems with XI system. XI production server was restarted couple of days back. From that time, 1 file is not reaching its destination. When i go to communication channel monitoring, i see this message for all the communication channels with file adapter "No adapter registered for this channel".
But, communication channels with SOAP adapter are working fine, and the corresponding files are reaching its destinations. So, what should i do to rectify this probelm? Do we have to restart XI server onceagain? Is there anything pirticular, to be careful about, while restarting XI system?

1)Try after restarting the Java Stack.
2)Try after SLD cache.
To clear the SLD cache, from the Integration Builder main menu, choose Environment ® Delete Cache for SLD Data.
Once we have deleted the cache for SLD data, accessing objects in the SLD may take longer than usual initially.

Encoding problem with Application adapter for OEBS

It is good working with English letters and numbers, but when we try to use Cyrillic we have a problem with Encoding in Content server page.

2) Log on to the EBS and confirm that you can now open the Managed Attachments window for all records & forms, regardless of the use (& length) of multibyte string values.
This was caused by multibyte characters used with non UTF-8 language strings .
I presumed that you are seeing that when "Managed Attachments" option through the ZOOM button from an E-Business Suite (EBS) forms, nothing happens.If you have a support id then check the following note : 1409703.1 from MyOracleSupport portal.

Problem with not executed include
Hi all,
I've a problem with my include in production system. Whole story looks like this. We have product from 3rd company so this is not z-namespace. There are some places in which we can add our own code - function module with not existing z-include. This FM is called with CALL FUNCTION statement, not CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION, so there are no CMOD entries to modify. I've created this include and implemented my functionality. Unfortunatelly my code in production is sometimes executed and sometimes not. What I've observed is that when include is not executed debugger steps over it (it goes in to FM but ignores include) and what is more funny I'm not able to set breakpoint in this include (I'm getting a message that ithis is not possible). 2 Minutes later everything works (I can set break point and include is executed) although I didn't do anything (no activation). I've transported once more all transports from development to production without any change. I didn't observe this behavior in development or test systems, but to be honest I didn't do so many tests to be sure that problem is only in production.
I suspect that there is something wrong with 3rd party product, but I'm not 100% sure. Did anyone has this kind of problem?

I've transported once more all transports from development to production without any change.
you could not activate debugger because . during transporting object from dev to prd all the object where not transported correctly . and some times the include which gets created has there namespace registered in repository objects , so when you re transported that request it corrected those entries .

Satellite A200 - Problems with AC adapter
Hi,
The problem concerns an Satellite A200 (PSAF6A-02H01N).
Recently there has been problems with the Laptop taking several attempts to start up Vista, it would lock up while loading or just crash and freeze just after loading Vista.
But Once it was up and running the laptop would happily work for hours with the AC adapter plugged in.
The problem has now got worse and the laptop will not finish loading Vista without crashing.
We have now narrowed the it down to only having a problem when the AC power adapter is plugged in.
The Laptop battery will charge normally with the AC adapter plugged in and the Laptop in standby or switched off.
The problem still exists with the AC adapter plugged in and the battery removed.
The notebook will start up and run perfectly with the battery in and no AC adapter connected. Once the AC adapter is plugged in the Laptop will show that the battery is charging then after a few seconds it will crash or freeze and the only escape is a complete shutdown.
The laptop will only run under battery power for about 30mins max.
I have checked the Voltage output of the AC adapter and this appears to be a consistant 19.4 Volts.
Is it just an AC adapter problem or does the problem lie with the laptop?

Gaz.Crashing/BSOD's can be caused by many things. The first thing to do is check the RAM and HDD for problems.
Test the RAM for errors. You can use the free Memtest utility:
1) Go to http://www.memtest.org/#downiso and download the "Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)"
2) Open the ZIP file and extract the ISO file to a temporary folder.
3) Burn the ISO to a blank CD using an "Image-to-Disc" or "Bootable CD" project in your CD/DVD burning software (dont use a normal Data Project).
4) Insert the Memtest CD into your laptop and turn it on, press F12 to launch the boot menu, and select "CD".
Test the Hard Disk for errors by using DFT.
DFT Download: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT
Download the ISO File and burn it to a CD-R Disc (There is also a Floppy Disk version if that's easier).
If you dont know how to burn an ISO file, read this guide: http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm
Restart your laptop and boot from the DFT Disc.
Choose the "Advanced" Test and let it run (it may take an hour or so).
If you see a red message box, the HDD is faulty.
An error code 0x70 means there are bad sectors and the HDD needs replacing. -
Performance problems with File Adapter and XI freeze

We are deploying a XI based product and encounter some huge performance problems. Here after the scenario and the issues:
- NetWeaver XI 2004
- SAP 4.6c
- Outbound Channel
- No mapping used and only the iDocs Adapter is involved in the pipeline processing
- File Adapter
- message file size < 2Ko
We have zeroed down the problem to Idoc adapters performance.
We are using a file channel and every 15 seconds a file in a valid Idoc format is placed in a folder, Idoc adapter picks up the file from this folder and sends it to the SAP R/3 instance.
For few minutes (approx 5 mins) it works (the CPU usage is less then 20% even if processing time seems huge : <b>5sec/msg</b>) but after this time the application gets blocked and the CPU gets overloaded at 100% (2 processes disp_worker.exe at 50% each).
If we inject several files in the source folder at the same time or if we decrease the time gap (from 15 seconds to 10 seconds) between creation of 2 Idoc files , the process blocks after posting 2-3 docs to SAP R/3.
Could you point us some reasons that could provoke that behavior?
Basically looking for some help in improving performance of the Idoc adapter.

Our XI server is:
Windows 2003 Server
Processors: 2x3GHZ
RAM: 4GB (the memory do not soak)
The messages are well formed iDocs = single line INVOICES.
Some posts are talking 2000 messages processed in some seconds... whereas we got 5 sec per message.

Problem with middleware adapter filters

I need some help with R3AC1 filter configuration. I have my CRM 4.0 working fine with a previous initial download executed for CUSTOMER_MAIN business object (between others).
The problem is that now I have to download the related contact persons in ranges and I don't know how configure the filters to avoid deltas and the contact persons initial download at the same time.
I think in requests (R3AR2) but I have the same problem with filters.
Actually I have a filter in CUSTOMER_MAIN (and CUSTOMER_REL) object:

If I want to download the contact persons related to customers 8000 to 9000, what's the filter configuration and in which object have I to do? It's very important that deltas continue downloading from my back-end because the system is productive.

JavierHave a look at transaction SMW3FDCUST, the activation is done there when checking the 'active' checkbox. For the download everything of BUPA_MAIN and BUPA_REL should be deassigned (as it usually is after an installation).
The transaction is also found in customizing under CRM->CRM Middleware->Mobile scenarios->Mapping (or similar) with the approproate help text there.
@Paul:What error do you get? Since sBDocs are not validated it should be only a technical error. Are you sure it is msa related (which then should be an error in the BDoc CAPGEN_OBJ_WRITE or CONGEN_OBJ_WRITE) or an error in the CDB adaptor framework (BDoc BUPA_MAIN or BUPA_REL). If the latter, it helps to regenerate all BDocs and related services in the generation workbench GNRWB for these BDocs.

Problem with server side includes
Hi - I have a page with two php includes which no longer display properly. They were fine when I set them up, and I haven't changed anything. They don't display online - and also don't display on my local server (Apache). I have identical code on other sites which does display properly, both on my server and online. There's nothing wrong with the file paths as they display correctly on the DW display screen, and also on live display, so I'm completely baffled.
Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks!Hi...contrary to all logic and expectations, shtml pages DO process php includes. I appreciate that this seems very strange but I have several examples on my sites, with identical code to that already posted, and they work. I have to use a .php file extension rather than .asp as this is required for the file to be read by an online CMS site - rather than change the page to a php file and have to amend the site navigation, I have gone with just changing the file extension. This works for every single one of my sites except this one, and I can't see why, hence this question...

Multiple NI-Switch problems with PXI-2566 including blue screen
We've been having intermittent problems with our PXI-2566 for months now.
It seems like at some point the device and/or driver gets in a state where the open of the device causes a "blue screen." It traps in niswdk.dll (addr: ae9db759, base: ae9b7000, datestamp: 488e1ebe). The NI_Switch version on this system is 3.8.0f1. We now have the system configured to do a full kernel dump (as suggested in another thread).
We've seen some bad viStatus'es (that we've haven't been able to decode) returned from NI-Switch:
niSwitch_InitWithTopology - 0xBFFA6767
niSwitch_Connect - 0xBFFA4B50 -- I think this is the error that starts the downward spiral...
niSwitch_Disconnect & niSwitch_Connect - 0xBFFA495D (after 0xBFFA4B50 error)
We get a blue screen the next time we start our app -- best guess is on the niSwitch_InitWithTopology ("foo", NISWITCH_TOPOLOGY_2566_16_SPDT, VI_FALSE, VI_TRUE, ) call.
We'd seen these kind of problems several months back & switched out to a different PXI-2566 & they went away, but now they've come back. Not sure how much the relays have been stressed, but even if they were don't see why we'd get these types of failures. The card passes self-test (from Max), but I get errors running the soft front panel & can't get to the relay counts:
The system is running XP. The application uses MSVC, VISA, etc. This doesn't have anything to do with powering on/off the PXI chassis (another reason for blue screens).
Ideas for fixes or debugging ???OK, 1 easy answer: the device name was set to "PXI1-NI2566" MAX allows this & we have no trouble using this name from our application, but apparently the "-" is invalid from the soft front panel app. So at least I can get to the switch counts now (and they're all <2000).
We did get another 0xBFFA6767 this morning, follow shortly by a blue screen & have a kernel dump. Does that help in tracking this down?
We've been running this application for many months. It's use of the 2566 is pretty simple and has not changed. It fails intermittently & we haven't been able to correlate the failure with any other events. The system in general has been pretty stable in terms of hardware & software changes.
There are a lot of devices in this system -- this is the only one we're having problems with. We have a rack-mounted PC interfacing to separate PXI & VXI chassis. Here are summaries from MAX & Device Manager:
Is this enough detail? The MXI interface card (MXI-4?) is currently PCIe, but had this same problem with the PCI version of the card
Can you be more specific about resetting after a 0xBFFA6767 to get closer to the fault?
The "other blue screen" events I was referring to were in a different thread on the NI forums. Those problems had to do power cycling the PXI (or powering it on after the PC) -- we know from experience not do that.
