Problems with MobileMe contacts sincyng

I'm a MobileMe, Mac and iPhone user and I usually sync all my data with no problem However for some reason I cant sync my contacts in my Mac with with my contacts in MobileMe. Also I find some of my contacts names overwritten with other names in MobileMe. Can anyone help please?

Hi Chris, Thanks for the advice, I haven't tried that yet. Will do so and pray that it will work. This however doesn't solve the problem of appointments I'm putting on my iphone not updating on PC and laptop - they do however update on mobile me cloud!  Any advice greatly appreciated!

    Hi everyone. I'm having massive problems with mobileme sync with my iphone, my macbook and MacPC G5. Essentially I want the iphone contacts and calender data to overwrite anything on laptop and pc but I keep getting message that contacts couldn't be synced due to inconsistent data.  Despite me overriding it.  I'm not sure how I go about confirming that the computers data is valid and actually whether I want to because its the iphone data I want.  Then despite saying its synced calenders its not updating on my macbook or PC ... any suggestions gratefully received.  Its doing my head in!  Oh I'm on Leopard OS.

  • My Client is having a serious problem with the Contact Form Widget

    My Client is having a serious problem with the Contact Form Widget that I can not figure out how to correct.
    I created a website for a client and inserted a Contact Form widget on their 'Contact Us' page. Whenever anyone uses the form, the e-mail my client receive shows my e-mail address as the sender. So, when they 'reply' to the e-mail, the reply is sent to me and not the person who sent the original message. This creates a major problem in that I get barraged with e-mail replies while my client's potential customers go without a response.
    When I look at  'Site Manager > System E-Mails > Workflow Information > E-mail From Address' on the site's Admin Console, it shows my e-mail information. Is this is what needs to be changed?  If it is, what needs to be placed in that field so that the e-mail my client receives shows the senders e-mail information in the 'From' field.  My client wants to be able to click reply and have the message sent to the right party. They would be very upset if they have to cut and past the senders e-mail address from the body text on every contact they receive.
    Their feeling is that if I can't find a way to make the contact form work the way it should, then it's useless to them.
    Can anyone help me figure this out? I really don't want to disappoint my first client.

    Are you on a plan that has the CRM feature that stores your customers' data? If so, the idea of the contact form is that you'll receive a notification that there's been an inquiry filled out on your contact form and there should be a link in that email notification that leads to the "Case" that was created when that customer filled out a contact form.  You can click that link and visit the case for that customer in your BC site and reply to them from there so that all of the correspondence is logged in the CRM for safe-keeping and for your records.
    If your client finds this is too much work to login to BC to reply every time, then you should check to see if you have the "Customer Service Ticketing" feature on your hosting plan.  This is a feature where you create a dedicated email account (like [email protected]) and the BC system will automatically login to that email account and pull any emails in that inbox and convert them to a customer case for the sender of the email and then it will send out a notification via email to any of the BC Admin users you delegate as "Customer Service Agents".  Since the CST integrates with the BC CRM it lets you reply directly within the email-- but when you reply it will be going to that same email address dedicated to the CST but once the CST service checks your email again and sees that you replied to this inquiry it will log your reply against the customer's case and sends your reply via email back to them so that all the correspondance gets logged on BC's CRM but you can still reply via email.
    There's no way to use the default web forms to update the "From" or "Reply-To" address.. it must come from an approved email address to avoid spam issues.  On most web services you cannot change the "from" address anyway but usually you can at least specify the "Reply-To" address so that when someone hits "reply" in their email client it will reply to whoever you setup as the "Reply-To" address.

    I don't think the CST feature is in the webMarketing BC plan-- I think it's only in the webCommerce plan so if you have less than an webCommerce plan you have to tell your client to reply through BC by clicking the link in the notification they get.  You can justify it by saying its one or two more steps but it keeps the entire convo on record in their CRM for easy referral later.

    You will want to add them to your Contacts. 
    There's a "+" button at the bottom of the contact list on the left to add a contact.
    If you need to add the email address or phone number to an existing contact, there's an Edit button at the bottom of the contact info (on the right).
    Once you have the contact email address or phone number you want to message to, scroll all the way down to the bottom of their information and there are options to:
    Send Message               FaceTime
    Share Contact             Add to Favorites
    Of course choose "Send Message" to send an iMessage to them and you will start a new chat.  You will be given the options of how to contact them, via phone number (if they are on an iPhone) or email (if they are on an iPod touch or iPad).   They do need to be signed up for iMessage or it won't allow you to send.

    I have a problem with my contacts. I have setup a work space for my business email account. And somehow I lost most address information on both my Q10 and my email contacts. I never edited them before. That should not be lost, how could it happen? Is there a bug on Q10?

    depending on what update you have but it is takes time for all info to show on this device. let it rest for some time and check later. if they are not there sync again and leave to think about. this used to be a huge problem with later software versions, with 10.2 it shall work more or less dynamically.

    I have iPhone 4 running on ios 6.1.2 there is problem with my contacts, every time somebody calls me it hangs showing a blackscreen with apple logo and it after about 15s  i m able attend call n also wen I try accessing my contacts the same thing happens.

    First try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10 sec, until the Apple logo com back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
    If this does not work, set it up as new device, if necessary without using the latest backup, in case it contains corrupt data. This is also explained in this article:

  • Problem with BBM Contacts

    I have a problem with my contacts. Every morning I have to keep re-inviting a few contacts on my BBM contact list.
    They appear on my list, but when I try to talk to them, a message saying some something along the line of "This person does not have you on his/her contact list. Do you want to re-invite?"
    The funny thing is that it only happens to few certain people on my list. I have to keep re-inviting these few people everyday, and it's only those exact same people. When I asked them about it, they said that I disappeared from their contact list.
    Is there anyone having the same problem? Is the problem on their side or mine?
    I am using BB 9700 on BBM version .57
    Please advise. Thanks!
    EDIT: All the contacts I have to keep re-inviting are also using BB 9700.

    Try this, have those contacts delete you. You delete them, from your device. Both of you do a battery pull reboot.

  • Problems with Vista Contacts (partner problems :P)

    I don't think I had any problems with the previous version of Nokia PC Suite to transfer my Vista Contacts. But that version did not support pictures (which I really wanted to have). So I upgraded to 6.83.14.1 which supports pictures. Though first of all pictures seems to be kind of buggy and refuses to transfer the contact if the photo is too big (have no idea if it's dimensions or size though).
    But my prime problem is that it refuses to transfer some of my contacts. I tried to find some connection between those that didn't transfer and found that all of them seems to be couples where only one of the partners transferred. They have the same address etc. (though mobile numbers can differ). But strangest is that my parents have both been transferred (and they to share everything except mobile phone numbers). Oh, and all have pictures too.
    Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this? Any help is appreciated.

    hi. i had the same. but try this (works with me):-
    open pc suite, synchronisation, then click settings.
    pc application click create new, then instead of vista select "outlook express (windows address book) " then next page select default.
    this should do it for some reason. now ALL my contacts have synched instead of half of them.

    Hi everyone, I seem to have a problem with my iPhone 4 16 gb, I can't see my contacts anymore! I didn't do anything (I sware xD) one day I just unlocked my phone and all the contacts were gone! I tried updating to iOs 7 but nothing.. I can't even add any contacts! The button "+" isn't there anymore

    Go into iCloud in the settings app then turn off contacts sync and wait for 30 seconds then turn it back on. Might just need to force the refresh.

    I'm having problem with my iCloud contact on my mac. My iCloud contact doesn't appear on my Mac.
    I already backup my iPhone contacts to my iCloud account today and I also already follow any instruction on iCloud Apple Support. But my problem still exist.
    For the information, i'm using the 10.9 OSX and 7.0.2 IOS. I believe there's no problem with my browser. I already try with Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

  • Webcam problems with ONE contact

    Im not sure if this is this is the right place for this post but im running out of options and i am getting desperate!
    Here is the situation:
    I have a mac book pro laptop running os x 10.5.6.
    I am trying to use my webcam and chat with a contact, the webcam is set up and works with all other contacts accept this one contact.
    On My macbook pro - I have used IChat with AIM to try to video conference with the contact, and i get an error message, saying that the contact is in another conference (which they say they arent). On their side they say that the conference was declined from my side.
    I Also experience a similar problem on my pc using msn messenger... I can view my contacts webcam, and all other contacts webcams, and I can send my webcam to all other contacts... but the one contact, the screen goes white, and the connection times out?
    I am assuming this would be a problem with the one contacts router or firewall? but what could it be? they say the firewall is disabled ...
    But if it were a connection problem would I be able to view the contacts webcam?

    This could be several issues.
    If it is Mac to Mac then it is likely to be a feature of their Modem such as Denial of Service or Internet Ping blocking (not responding to Internet Pings).
    If it is Mac to PC then the Windows firewall should be On but the app allowed as an Exception Written for XP Service Pack 2 but applies to Vista as well.
    There is a chance that it is about whether they have opened the ports iChat (or their App) needs in their router or modem. Most only have port up to 1024 open.

    it started a few months ago i noticed that i lost every phone number i have. and when i look up the contacts there is only one repeated contact name and number there . for example:

    first step I would check compatibility which is done as below:
    Get original operating system CD that was used to install Windows XP on the
    machine in your post. When Windows XP is inserted into CD ROM drive it
    normally will ask you to conduct compatibility check for the current
