Problems with my 6300 paired with Sony Ericsson B/...

I hope someone can help with this...
When I pair my 6300 (firmware v.5.5) with my Sony Ericsson stereo Bluetooth headset (HBH-DS970) I get a message "Only Audio Files will be transferred."
ONLY the music controls work! No phone audio or functions at ALL: no phone audio, the answer phone button does not work, and caller ID function doesn't work.
Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a fix?
Thanks

The full retail install disks are available here and at any Apple Store and many computer retailers. Also, check the system requirements. Be sure your Mac has firewire and enough ram to run Tiger. At this point you might be able to find the disks at a slightly discounted price because of the coming release of 10.5 Leopard. But be sure it is the black disk, boxed version if possible.
EDIT: And the install disc for Tiger is a DVD, so be sure your iMac has DVD.
This may help to narrow down the model iMac you have.

i have recently purchased the dsx-s300btx for my car to link with my iphone 4. installed it today and everything seems to work fine, the only problem i am facing at the moment is the bluetooth connectivity affecting the audio playback.
when connecting the iphone to the unit using the supplied iphone/ipod adaptor (within the tune tray) the audio plays fine through the 'internal usb device' source mode. when i connect the phone through bluetooth for calling/streaming these features also work fine
what i am finding is however, that the unit is constantly recognising the phone and each time it does, *i get a 'iPhone Connected'* message come up on screen which is slightly annoying
this also happens when i am using the iphone to play music in 'internal usb device', when the message appears and dissapears, the audio stops beind heard (even though the track appears to be playing - the seconds continue to tick on the track playing) when you change the track, change course, change input etc it doesn't right itself
i am also suffering from horrendous interference through speakers (when you stand to near a hifi or tv with your phone) when the phone is in the tunetray making a call
i would appreciate any help anyone has to offer, would like to get this sorted, thanks
thats probably just the way its going to be..

  • No Configurable Services when pairing my sony ericsson to my imac

I just got a new 24" iMac, I also have a MacBook. My Sony Ericsson K550i is paired perfectly with my Macbook, and it has a few services like sending files back and forth, and remote control. but when I try to pair it with my iMac it pairs but it says that there are to services on the device. I cleared it and tried it again and the same thing happened. I then cleared it on my macbook and tried that again and it works fine. So something is wrong with the connection between my imac and phone. I though maybe it was the bluetooth, but when I connect my bluetooth mouse to it, it works fine. I'm tried messing with preferences but nothing seems to work. I'd like for it to work because i have BluePhoneElite 2 on my mac and I'd really like to be able to use it. If you have any ideas that would be great. Thanks for the help.

    HI Dave,
You mentioned preferences but if you didn't catch this one...
    Try deleting this file. com.apple.BluetoothFileExchange.plist
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your Mac.
    See if that helps.
Are the MacBook and iMac both running Leopard 10.5.6?

  • Problems in installing jar file in Sony Ericsson Elm & K800i - Operation Failed

    HI all,
We have developed a J2ME application, the .jar file of the application is not getting installed in some of the Sony Ericsson devices such as Elm, K800i etc - getting 'Operation failed' message. But it is getting successfully installed in some other devices. Can anyone let us know what could be the problem even though the devices are MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1 supported.

http://developer.sonyericsson.com/wportal/devworld/phones/phone-overview/elm?cc=gb&lc=en Since I don't know which Java app you have developed, I can only suggest you use this SE Developer world page to compare JSRs& APIs between SE phones that allow its installation and those that don't, and see if this gives you an answer.Failing that, check for any differences in the security certificates and/or run a software update/master reset on the phones that don't allow installation and see if that helps.

  • HT4976 Trying to use Emoji with Ipad 2 paired with Kensington Keyfolio keyboard

I have ipad 2 with Kensington Keyfolio keyboard.  Emoji will not display when the keyboard is connected.  It works when I disconnect the keyboard and use the touch keyboard.  Is Emoji not supported using the Keyfolio keyboard?

IMHO, forget about doing any meaningful Excel work an iPad unless you want to be a slave and spend 3-4 times the amount of time it would take to do inputs on a normal computer.  Now, IF there was mouse support, then it might be worth the effort.  I tried it and gave up.

  • IPhone 4S stopped pairing with my 2007 Mini Cooper 4S

I'm an IT guy of 15 years. I have been on several deployment teams for PDA, then Smart Phones. Recently my iPhone 4S stopped pairing with my 2007 Mini Cooper 4S. I went through the gauntlet trying to get this issue solved including but not limited to the following.
Trying to pair my wife's brand new iPhone 4S to the same Mini Cooper! (DID NOT WORK EITHER!)
Resetting network settings. (Did not work)
Wiping my iphone 4 and restoring it. (Did not work)
Called Apple support and they offered me a new phone. (A new phone is not going to fix the problem if my wife's brand new iPhone 4S will not pair either)
Successfully paired another phone (Droid) to my car.
My 15 inch MacBook Pro can see my iPhone 4S but my iPhone cannot see my Macbook Pro either!
There is a huge amount of complaints on the internet regarding the latest bluetooth update with IOS 5.1.1, people are having the same issue with bluetooth dropping pairing with their automobiles!
Apple let it slip on the phone that they are aware of this issue.
My phone worked fine until IOS update 5.1.1 I may try to restore back to an earlier IOS.
My phone worked for a few months with bluetooth and was a little flaky since getting the 4S it worked much much better with the iPhone 4. When I got the iPhone 4S that's when spotty issues with the bluetooth became noticible including the system dropping on calls and reverting back to the handset vs the speaker system. I had to apologize to several customers while on the phone. I thought I was doing something wrong, but realize now that this phone has issues with the bluetooth.
In closing I would like to simply say that if this iPhone 4S does have hardware problems then Apple is going to have a lot of ticked off people because it's a hardware problem with the design in general and they will have an iPhone recall or suit on their hands. Because I can assure you this is a bluetooth problem with every iPhone 4S, it's not a coincidence that my wife's iPhone 4S with the same 5.1.1 IOS will not pair with my car either. So for Apples sake I hope this iPhone bluetooth issue can be fixed with an update! Best of luck Apple. I'm not going to beat up on you guys because I am diehard Apple and I love your products, but please fix this issue. We have phone ordinance laws in various burbs in Cleveland and they will fine you for talking on your handset.

Well the good news is all that fell on deaf ears we are all users here not Apple
The clue is in the User Communities title
It is not the responsibility of Apple to ensure EVERY item in the world is compatible
which is why goes to great lengths to share iOS changes and hardware with any "Developer"
that is interested Including BMW/Mini and every other Auto manufacturer
Have you called in at your Mini Dealer to check if they have a Bluetooth update
If they haven't ask why not ,technology is moving forward daily
and clearly if they do not keep up you will have problems
Expect a charge it is Apple that gives free updates to their customers

  • My Iphone 3GS with IOS 5.1 won't pair with my Mercedes ML350 bluetooth

Why doesn't my IPhone 3GS with IOS5.1 pair with my Mercedes ML350 bluetooth?

Sorry, I haven't a clue.  However, in "pairing" phones, I've found that it's not a perfect science and most of the time, if I keep making an attempt, my phone does pair. Today, I finally got around to pairing my new 4S with my Ford Flex.  Same story, the first 3 or 4 attempts crashed. Then for some unknown reason, doing the same procedure, the phone did pair with my Flex.

  • "Detection of service failed" - Satellite A300 to Sony Ericsson c905

    Hello!
I'm getting the "Detection of service failed" on my A300 Toshiba laptop whenever I try to connect with my Sony Ericsson c905 cell phone.
I'm able to connect with other phones, and the Sony Ericsson is able to connect to other laptops.
I've tried upgrading the Bluetooth stack to 6.4 - didn't help.
    Any ideas?

Same problem. Satellite Pro U400 and new Sony Ericsson C510. Latest firmware on mobile phone and latest drivers (bt stack) 6.40.00(T). Low security, visible devices, updated Windows XP SP3.
When i select phone in device list, icon is blue/white. After i click "Next", turns to blue/green and pop dialog with "Detection of service failed".
Older Sony Ericsson Z550i paired without any problems.
This is my first, and last Toshiba product. Every next day it is a bigger disappointment for me. Now, if i want to conect to the internet, i need to switch phone. That is bad. Really bad. Wait, not bad, that is bullsh1t. Maybe have toshiba good hardware, bud software sux. TrueSuite Access Manager for fingerprint sometimes didn't start, so can't login with finger. Wifi sometimes lost connection - but original latest Intel drivers fix that.
My only hope is, that Taiyo Yunden/Broadcom makes own drivers.. Googling now..

  • Adobe Acrobat for Sony-Ericsson P900 "Master of All"

A year later and the P900 is finally available (in a "watch this space" kind of way) and the lucky few that have them already are starting to fall in love with them.
Perhaps a Sony-Ericsson digitally signed version can now become available - running under what is essentially "Open Symbian" not "Nokia Symbian".
The P900 seems pretty much like a dead cert to take over the Marketplace that the Nokia Communicator never quite managed to properly target.
Looks like a few diehards will still be using their Communicators in five years time after having forked out for the hardware in the first place, but there is a new sheriff in town.

' PLEASE GAWD!!!! We need a PDF reader for UIQ that will allow us to read DRM (sPDF) protected eBooks. PLEASE. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!! eBooks and the ease and portability thereof is one of the PRIMARY reasons I have myself a PDA (or in this case smartphone - one beefy enought to be classified as a PDA essentially as well). Not being DRM-enabled is crippling.
' Because of Adobe's seeming disinterest in the platfrom, and previous experience I've had on other Symbian devices - for PDF access I HAPPILY use MBrain Software's "PDF+" - BY FAR the best PDF-reader for the Symbian platform... It runs on MOST Symbian devices and looks great. But no DRM module exists for it.
' Methinks Adobe is asleep at the wheel though... The smartphone market is one of the fastest growing market segments globally and Symbian is leading the way. And yet Adobe supports a total of 3 different Symbian devices?!? All from the same vendor and in the same model family!?! Scary.
' Makes you wonder whether someone else is likely to run over Adobe with a superior format of their own IP. Heehee. Looks that way.
' WAKE UP ADOBE!!! For goodness sake - the UIQ platform has been widely available for over two years already - let's not even mention the myriad other Symbian platforms!!! Get with the program!
    ' Please?

  • My iPad can't find my Sony Ericsson phone via Bluetooth

Hi, can anyone help me please? Both of my devices my iPad with retina display and my Sony Ericsson Arc S, have the Bluetooth turned on but they won't connect with each other. Does anyone have advice on how to connect them as I'd like to transfer my photos from my phone. The message on my iPad is cannot find phone make sure it's switched on :-/

iPads and iPhones do not support bluetooth file transfers to each other or any other device. There may be apps in the app store that can allow such things but each hone has to be running the same app. iOS Devices also don't allow bluetooth transfers from computers.

  • Sony ericsson W810i connection problem with macbook

I have a Sony Ericsson W810i, and I want to transfer some photo's from the phone to my macbook. I can get the bluetooth to link with the phone for tranfer, but I'm having problems when I try to use the USB cable. When I connect the USB cable, the phone recognizes the connection, and warns not to disconnect from the cable untill...etc. however, I never get an Icon on the computer recognizing the phone. in short, The mac never sees the phone. any ideas???

I don't believe Macs are cell phone compatible without some 3rd party hack or application. You might do a Google search for your phone model and Mac.
    Do you Twango?

  • Cannot bluetooth transfer with a sony ericsson Z710i

I bought a belkin USB bluetooth adapter for my laptop (running Tiger). It pairs and transfers files back and forth with my own sony phone but although it pairs with my wifes new Z701i it can't transfer a file to it saying it is unable to and there was a transfer error. Could it be the phone? Has anyone else had a problem with this? Any help or comment would be appreciated.
    iBook G4 933mhz   Mac OS X (10.4.1)

It's not the phone - it's the Belkin...
Belkin USB Bluetooth Adapters are known to be not 100% compatible with more recent Sony Ericsson Phones and more recent versions of Mac OS X.
Apple made significant changes to the Bluetooth system software around Mac OS X 10.4.6 - 7 and since then many third-party USB Bluetooth Adapters don't fully work.
The only external USB Bluetooth Adapter supported by Apple for use on the Mac is the D-Link DBT-120.
BTW, an iSync Phone Plugin for the Sony Ericsson Z710i, to allow full Address Book and iCal syncing is available here.

  • Nokia 5800 with Sony Ericsson HBH-PV770 disconnec...

I manage to pair and talk thrue the headset but it disconnects after a few minutes.
They are compatible acoarding to http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/sony-ericsson-hbh-pv770-p15660.htm
    What to do ?

The Nokia 6300 phone is designed to meet Bluetooth Specification 2.0, hands-free, headset, generic access, generic object exchange, object push , file transfer , dial-up networking , SIM access , serial port , service discovery, personal area network , advanced audio distribution and audio video remote control profiles.
the above specification will fully support the advanced music control features of the DS980..on the other hand for full control over phone book the phone should support bluetooth phone book access which i don't think the phone does. "a point that has to be confirmed by other members".
another point is the laguage used on the phone, if you're using non english characters on you phonebook , please change one of the names to english letters and see if it appears on the headdset. if it does then the headset only supports certain languages and phone book entries has to be in that form to appear.
please tell me how it goes with you
