Problems with my blackberry!

Dear RIM
I have been a blackberry user for many years now and have used my blackberry for work and social purposes. I currently own the blackberry curve 9360 which I had upgraded too in February 2012. I was looking into your blackberry 10 because I am interested in purchasing it because it looks like an amazing phone.... But that’s what I had thought with the blackberry 9360 but since I have bought it less than a year ago with Rogers I have sent it in twice to get fixed. The phone would shut off and reboot itself every 5 minutes and then eventually it didn’t want to turn on. The phone had no water damage nor scratches or even been dropped. It was in perfect condition physically. Both times I had sent it in it came back working worse than I had sent it in.
So on the third time they ended up giving me a new blackberry 9360 to replace the one they could not fix in October 2012. Now I have the new phone and the problems have started again but different ones this time. I can scroll through my albums and everything else in my phone but I cannot scroll up nor down or send pictures to contacts. I can only read enough text that they had sent that fits my screen and the rest I am unable to see. I am very sad that this keeps happening because I loved my older blackberry’s but I can not keep sending my phone away fro two weeks at a time and re-typing in contacts and losing contacts. I need a more reliable phone. I have been very unsatisfied with the blackberry curve 9360 and i’m debating on upgrading to the iphone 5. If instead I was to get a blackberry 10 how would I know it won't have the same failings?"

  • Strange Problem with my Blackberry's Email

    I have an unusual problem with my Blackberry's e-mail set up.  When I get a message from my e-mail account, it shows up in the Messages folder, but in the specific e-mail account's folder, it does not show up at all.  I've checked and made sure that all messages is selected for the specific e-mail folder.  It is a Gmail account.  For some reason, those emails only show up on the 'Messages' section and not the specific email section.
    Any help with this issue is appreciated.

    Follow up: I've done some investigating and noticed that my "Inbox" doesn't appear under the "Filters" section on the email account.  Since this is gmail, should i look into my gmail settings, which appear to be fine, or is there a way I can add my inbox to that list on my blackberry?

  • Problems with the Blackberry enhanced Gmail plug-in

    Hi.
    I use my Curve 8900 with a BES email account and added to this today a second Gmail account with support of the Blackberry enhanced Gmail plug-in.
    But this works not fine, I can not see the sent messages in the Gmail conversations, they simply disapeare after they have been sent (and they have been sent really). The same is with the sent message flag - if I filter this flag, I see no messages, but in the reality they are there. If I look in the sent message folder in my Gmail account from the computer, I see all the sent messages.
    Does anybody else have the some experience with the Gmail enhanced plug-in?

    I have problems with the gmail plug-in as well.  I have a bb 9700 bold and very often my gmail emails don't arrive in the email inbox.  They do arrive in the message box (the one that has everything including phone calls, sms, etc.) but the icon that is just reserved for my gmail emails do not receive them correctly.  Nobody is able to help me to figure out what is causing this; neither blackberry support or my telephone service provider.  Also sometimes once I read a mail, it vanishes from the inbox as well.  very strange...

    I'm having problems with excepting people  and being excepted myself on bbm ???
    Iv tried scanning barcodes and by pin entries in every way I can figure out to do ,and I'm out of ways now !!
    All that comes up is its pending on my phone and others phones !
    I'm also unable to be Bluetooth anything or for me to Bluetooth anyone  ???!!
    Please help as its driving me insane  

    Sounds to me like you don't have a plan that has data on it, or a plan that doesn't include social networking. Call your cell phone company and ask what your plan includes or visit the website and log in using your details and see what your plan includes.

  • Help!! All sorts of problems with my BlackBerry

    Hi everyone,
    I need some help..or lots of it really!  I've had my Sprint 8830 for about a year and a half to two years.  Recently I've been having all sorts of issues.  My call log/texts disappear which I assume is related to memory..but I have deleted many things to free up the memory on my phone.  I'm also not receiving texts.  People are constantly telling me they send me tons of texts and I never receive any of them!  I tried sending one to my phone from another phone and it didn't go through the first 4 times, but the one time it did, my phone beeped and as I went to read the message it just disappeared!  Also, my phone isn't ringing and is going straight into voicemail..only notifying me of a new message--not a missed call.  I've been in my house when these things have happened so I know it's not a service area problem. 
    I took my phone into Sprint 3 days ago, they said they installed a bunch of updates but I'm still having problems.  Help!  Is it just time for a new phone?

    The normal minimum memory limit is considered 15mb, you have 6mb.
    Do you have a lot of third party applications on your BB weather, icall,bbalerts etc?
    I do not know your experience level, so if you know this I'm sorry but please read and let me
    know if this applies.
    Most people close the applications by pressing the escape or red key. This does not close the applications.
    Each application has a CLOSE option. For instance if you are in the calendar hit the menu key (spotted key) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and press close. Go into the browser press menu and options select cache operations clear all categories and hit escape it will say cleaning memory. If your device has:
    Go to options - security - memory cleaning - enable it. The BB will now clean memory when idle for 5 minutes.
    you will have an icon on you screen for memory cleaning make sure you press it. Make sure you use the CLOSE button each time you are done with an application.

  • Problems with unlocked blackberry

            i recently unlocked my phone from rogers to fido, for the first 2 days everything worked fine but it still said rogers network. when i turned the phone on n off again it reset to the fido network but i am unable to view youtube videos (Says : An error has occurred attempting to play media.). i cannot use any of the apps using wifi even tho they worked before the reboot. and i cannot seem to set up my email account.
           i changed the apn to internet.fido.ca using fido as password n username, i went to the fido store, rodgers store n called both there technical support with no help.
             How can i fix this problem, ive searched many different forums but nothing seems to work

    You left out one key thing... with Fido, have you registered your BlackBerry PIN on your Blackberry Internet Service account?

  • Still have problems with my blackberry Z10

    A few days ago a posted a problem i had with my Z10 but never got a solution.
    Everytime i am connected to wifi and i leave the coverage area i lose connection to the internet, BBM & facebook in fact all my data services despite the fact that my service plan includes these data services and i have never experienced this on my previous bold phone.
    I have to reboot the phone each time and it works fine, until i reach my wifi coverage area, then when i leave again i lose data services again & have to reboot, Very frustrating. Has anyone else experienced this. It is definately the Z10 Phone.
    PLEASE HELP.

    Instead of rebooting try this:
    Go to System Settings.  Mobile Network.  Turn Mobile Network off and then on again to re-set it.
    In the meantime, while in the Mobile Network menu, make sure Network Selection is set to Automatic.
    Try this and see if the network data will re-set without needed to re-boot the phone.
    If the problem still persists you should contact your mobile service provider. You may have to contact Blackberry support to find the answer. I have strong doubts it will be a hardware fault.

    I tried to restart the Blackberry to see if the changes take effect
    And images can run the application without any problem.
    If your problem evidences the persistence applies a hard reset

  • I am having a problem with my Blackberry Curve's "Convenien​ce Keys."

    My Convenience Keys (voice command and camera) randomly stopped working! When I try to use the voice command (even after troubleshooting), it does not respond at all and the camera asks me to close all other applications in order for it to operate! What can I do to fix these two "Convenience Keys?" I have not changed any of my options and I have not dropped my phone. (As a matter of fact, I have only had this BB Curve for a couple of weeks.) The only thing that I did differently was download two games. I have already verified that I am connected to the network and I have already verified that my “Screen/ Keyboard; Convenience Keys” are still set to “Voice Command” and “Camera.” I’m baffled and just don’t know what to do. Can someone please, help me figure this out? Thank you very much for your time and consideration!

  • Problem with my blackberry curve 8520 smartphone

    Since few days ago, the keyboard of my blackberry is not responding again and when i enlight the phone this is the message which appear: App error 523 reset
    I need your help to solve this problem please.

    See if you can boot the device into safe mode. Remove the battery. While holding down the back key reinsert the battery. Continue to hold the back key for another 20 seconds. The device will then boot into safe mode. If it boots up then you'll want to delete all third party apps or whatever you might have installed that caused the problem. If it doesn't boot up then here is KB that gives instructions on what to do:

  • Problems with my blackberry internet service

    hi, i recently got a pearl 9100, my brother got it for me in canada and sent it down to me.i have not been able to activate my BIS event hough i have taken it to all the people that i thought would be able to fix it.I went to my provider's(zain ng now airtel nigeria) office and apparently everything is registered with them(i got charged for it already) but its just not showing on my phone.i can make calls and do all functions that a regular phone can perform, i just cant activate my blackberry internet services.i dont know what to do anymore, im so crushed.could anybody help me out?Thanks.
    ps: the phone isnt locked.i check under advanced options and sim card...everthing there is disabled like its supposed to be.

    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    I would suggest verifying with the original carrier of the device that it has been unlocked. If it hasn't, you will need to have them unlock it. If it has been unlocked, it may not have full functionality when used on another network, especially if that provider does not sell that model. You will need to verify that they have the necessary service books.

  • Problem with new blackberry won't turn on

    So my Blackberry was almost dead last night so i plugged it into my computer for a charge then went to bed.
    I woke up and it was completely dead (no lights or sounds)
    I eventually reinserted the battery and it loaded up fine.
    Is this a symptom of a bigger problem?
    How can i avoid this happening in the future.
