Problems with my HTML Editor

Hi All,
Here's my problem. I have created a text editor using HTML IFrame.
In this IFrame , I am calling a .DOC (MS-WORD) file. This is all fine. The file opens in te IFrame but I'm unable 2 get the MS-Word toolbar so that I can edit the .DOC within the IFrame.
Another problem is that I have a submit button on this JSP. I want that on clicking this button, the original .DOC file should be replaced and saved with the changes that I made to it in the IFrame. But I don't have an idea of how 2 do it !!
I'm using JSP and Tomcat. Can any1 point me 2 some code or give me an idea as 2 how to go about the above scenario ?

I think you'd have better luck for answers by contacting the site support area.
You could try using the Firefox for Mac browser instead.

Always good to have a back up browser regardless and it might be more user friendly for that particular site.

Hi Shane,
I passed through all the described problems in the list, and after doing several tests the error that you described is always present if the "jpcsclite_en_US.properties" is not present in the same place of the "jpcsclite.properties". I really don't know the reason, I just copied and pasted the same file, renamed the copy and the error was gone... though both of them include the line where the .dll is found!
That's how it worked for me, but if anybody knows how it works without that dirty trick, it would be good.

PS: Just in case that somebody is using the version JCSDK3.0, I did not find the .dll in that version, but in the JCSDK2.2.2 *(:-S)*

Substituting Region Source Editbox with Other HTML Editor?

Is there are way of substituting the text editor in the Region Source of a Region Definition (in HTML DB Edit Page Mode), with a HTML Editor like FCKeditor?

This question is asked quite a while ago and no answer was given, but me too would be extremly interested if there is a solution to this question.
It would be quite fancy to write HTML code in WSYIWYG mode directly within APEX Region source!
Maybe in the meantime a solution is in sight?
Is there any possibility to achive this task?

Help! Problem with text/html data flavor

I am having trouble copying text/html mime data to the clipboard. I can copy fine but there seems to be a bug in the JDK that puts extra information onto the clipboard along with the HTML. I am getting the following data copied to the clipboard:
Version:0.9 StartHTML:-1 EndHTML:-1 StartFragment:0000000111 EndFragment:0000000126
...and then the expected HTML.
I cannot see anyway around this. There seems to be no mention of anyone getting this problem ever before (searched google and the java forums).
Anyone ever witnessed this behaviour? If so, do you know a workaround?

Hi,
thats the way how the data is placed in the clipboard. Actually you usually export data in your clipboard in different multiple DataFlavors, for exemple plain text or even html. If you want to paste your data in an other aplpication, this one looks at the dataflavor and selects his prefered one. So if you want to paste something into an simple editor, you might only get the plain text. Using word, he will prefer HTML FLavor. So it is really only a matter of fact, who you export your data.

When I add a text item in Portal 9.0.2, the built in HTML editor makes changes to the HTML as entered.
Is there a way to prevent this?

The changing of relative to absolute is the one that bothers me. I think it also added line breaks, which caused problems with gaps appearing between images.
The other one I remember is adding <tbody> tags to a table.
I would prefer it if one could prevent the editor from making any changes in the HTML whatsoever. As an option maybe.
Is it possible to create a simple HTML item as a shared component that one could drop into any page?

What changes are you seeing?
I know that the editor converts relative links to absolute links (a bug has been logged for this and the issue is mentioned in the release notes).

Problems with TrueCode HTML in RoboHelp 8

I've been having trouble the the "True Code" HTML editor in RoboHelp 8. For some reason, my code is really spread out and difficult to edit. I've attached a screen capture. Any ideas of how to remedy this issue? I've already tried removing and re-installing the software with no luck. We have several other RoboHelp users in my office and none of them have this problem.

Problem with index.html. Help!

I am having a problem with the index.html. In iWeb my site looks perfect. When I publish it to a folder and then open the index certain media is missing but just on one page.
I have tried deleting the published site from the folder and re-publishing but nothing seems to work. Same result...
Even more interesting, I uploaded the site almost a month ago and everything was fine until I noticed last week that my pics on one page had been completely erased. What could cause the change? I didn't upload a new version of the site.

The index.html file plays no role in what you are describing.

Problem with opening html page in Dreamweaver

Hello,
I would like to ask the forum because I have a problem with Dreamweaver 8.
In the past when I work with my PC on Windows XP I didn't have this problem.
Now I have a new PC with Windows 7 Familial Edition Premium.
I can open he most pages I would like, .htm particuliarly but some of them like .html don't opened in Dreamweaver 8
on PC with Windows 7.
Example:

I can open it with Dreamweaver 8 under Windows XP on my portable PC.
But I can't open it with Dreamweaver 8 under Windows 7 on my fix PC.
Where is the problem?

It could be that Extensions.txt and MMDocumentTypes.xml do not have the full set file extensions.
The first one can be located at ~username/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS6/en_us/Configuration and needs to have HTML added to line 1
The second one can be located at ~username/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS6/en_us/Configuration/DocumentTypes and needs to have HTML added to line 3 so that it looks like
<documenttype id="HTML" internaltype="HTML" winfileextension="html,htm,shtml,shtm,stm,tpl,lasso,xhtml" macfileextension="html,htm,shtml,shtm,tpl,lasso,xhtml,ssi" file="Default.html" writebyteordermark="false" mimetype="text/html">

Problem with printing HTML container

I am having a problem with FlexPrintJob (or PrintJob) for the
mx.controls.HTML container. On print i receive only one page (only
the visible area) of my HTML container. How can i print multiple
pages from mx.controls.HTML?

"HTMLContainer.print()" and have it print all of the text contained
in the html container, maybe even with integrated use of CSS print
stylesheets...

your page. Then you call addPage, scroll the container exactly 1

Weird problem with ToC/Story Editor

Hi all,
I write the documentation for a software package. Recently the package has had two new add-ons that require their own manuals, so I reused my original doc and cleared it out to use for the new packages. All good so far until I want to do the ToC. In the original docs, each bit is split into its own story editor, but with the new manuals everything is all in one story and I think that is causing problems with the ToC because sometimes I'll get sections with nothing in them while other Sections have too many subsections. I've been through and checked my styles, but the only way around it right now is to view the ToC in the Story Editor and drag/drop the subsections to the right places. Right now these new manuals are not even 30 pages each, with four or five sections but this is not a tenable situation. I use InDesign 5.5 under Windows. Anyone got any idea? Obviously more detail can be provided.

Problem with inserting html code.

1) Does not appear in the preview thumbnail adobe muse.
2) The pull-down menu or previously entered disappears from display problems once exported the site in html.
Removing the html code menu work correctly.
Where is the problem ??

Most likely there is a critical code error somewhere. Use the W3C validation tools to check your CSS and HTML code.

Somme problem with robohel html

Hello
I try to find some solution with a problem with robohelp
office html 5. I give administrative right to my user for the
installation like it recommand by the porduct détails. But
when I give back single user right to my user I have some problems.
When I do in menu--> file-->generate primary layout, at the
end if I click on the button «View Result» noting
happening. With administrative right Internet explorer open and we
can see the result. There is somme registry key that I have to give
write right? But which one? I open HKLM/sofwar/ehelp but no result.
Can you help me somebody?

Problem with table cell editors - Dropdown by Index, getting lead selection

I have a table editor with 5 columns
1st column is a Drop Down byIndex.
My contex looks like this

i have bound details node to table data source.
i have a tool bar button 'Add Line item' which will add a new line item to the table.
(i am adding a blank line to the table that is bound to table )
Its working fine. but when ever i add more than one row, the selection made in the previous rows drop down is lost.
its initializing. where could be the problem.

You only have only one option in the DDI to display in the example. when you have multiple values
i assume that by adding an empty row like this will lose the SELECTION MADE in DDI. (Correct me If i am wrong)
somehow i believe that we need to bind the DD values using SET LEAD SELECTION INDEX METHOD FOR THE DDI when they are already selected and trying to BIND.
