Problems with my photoshop Help!

Hi guys, first of all I'm not an expert computer girl but I liked working with photoshop. Days ago I bought a Dell with Windows 8 (first time I use it) then I installed photoshop and I´ve had some problems like this when I tried to save the file.

Well, as I'm not expert on this, I don't know if my problems are because of the version of photoshop, windows 8, maybe both my photoshop doesn't work with W8, or my brand new laptop maybe is not working well or what!!?

ah, your getting run time errors. Try this, go to the windows control panel and select add/remove programs. Find C++ runtime Library and uninstall it.
Next to go Microsofts web page and go to their download page and search for C++ runtime library and download it then install it.
There are multiple versions of the library, so make sure it is the latest version.
As for the version it states version 8 and does not include a number after the CS therefore one would assume it is CS1. At that time it would not make sense to add the number since none of the others existed yet.
Tip: Before removing the library, write it down, then it will be easier to do a search for in on MS download site.

BTW, if all else fails, you can uninstall photoshop suite after you uninstall the lbrary and reinstall photoshop suite and it will install the library. Keep in mind that since it is CS1 that it is an old version and that can be the reason why you are getting errors. So it may be necessary to download from MS if this does not work. (This is just an option for you, that may fail, no guarentees. The above is a better choice.)

Mac Perpetual CS6 current version is 13.0.6 the subscription version is version 13.1.2. How are you trying to update to 13.1.?? do you have a Creative Cloud Subscription?

1) Apps are not part of the backup, only data stored by 3rd party apps. But you can redownload the apps for free again if you use the same account you did when you bought them the first time. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
2) See this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 and find out what's in your backup.
3) Backup your itunes+ library (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1382 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751), which will copy your Mobile Applications folder, and save your iphone backup folder as well
In other words, maintaining a backup of your computer is essential.
When you resync your apps from your computer to the phone, make sure your computer is authorized again. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420

Problem with registering Photoshop elements 13

it would be great if somebody could help with the following.
I have problems with regstering Photoshop elements 13.
The problem is described in Anmeldungs-, Aktivierungs- oder Verbindungsfehler | CC, CS6, CS5.5
I tried with all 4 offered troubleshootinh steps and found no issues -> I can access http://www.adobe.com, https://www.adobe.com and https://lm.licenses.adobe.com, firewall is switched off, time is correctly set and global sign root CA is installed in my trusted root store ...I still I cannot access adobe's registration server and complete registration.
Interestingly the following web page is offline: www.adobe.com/go/getactivated_de
Any ideas what could be the problem?
Is the registration service offline for German customers?
Am i missing something?

After unzipping Photoshop Elements 13, I received a error message saying
that PSE had detected an impending shutdown of my computer, and that I
should shutdown and restart the computer. I had two button choices:
ignore or quit. Given those choices, I quit, then shutdown the computer
and restarted. I again unzipped PSE and attempted an install. This time I
got a error message saying an installer was already running and I should
shut it down. Having no clue as to how to shut down an installer, I
attempted (FOR 6 HOURS) to obtain assistance from Adobe technical support
and either waited for a return call, waited on hold, attempted to
communicate with someone who I could not understand from India, or was told
technical support was not available on the phone for PSE. I finally gave
up and went to Chat. There, attempting to explain what the problem was,
(see above), I guess I took too long to respond, the chatter closed the
chat, and I was not able to reconnect to chat. After 5 attempts were
denied, I contacted a friend who has computer operations experience. After
an hour of attempting various things, he told me to hit "ignore". PSE
installed correctly and I'm now using it. This was an extremely shoddy
performance by Adobe -- first a glitch in the install process, and then no
help from tech support.

Problem with installing Photoshop elements 9 and adobe support advisor

Hi, I've received a graphic tablet with 2 programs: the first has been downloaded and works perfectly while the second, PSE9, has been giving me problems for at least a week!
I downloaded it and now I have a winzip file full of strange things (one of this is set up exe which tells me that I have to install adobe support advisor) and two files which said 3DF.tmp and PSEP9(1).zip.download and if I try to click them they tell me that I have to find on the Net the program to open them because I can't. And I don't know which program is required.
I tried a lot of times to download the adobe support advisor, I have enough space on my disc and my farewall is deactivated, but when the program begins I saw this annoyant message
cpsid_82829s5 Missing installation file bootstrapper error occured
with this code for a support from adobe 00-67325-032018052012
I unistalled it and retried, but nothing.
Please, I just want to use my tablet with the programs which are comprised in the package, why it's so difficult to download this damn photoshop elements 9????????????

In the error message it doesn't tell me
"Installer has detected that a machine restart is pending. It is recommended that you quit the installer, restart try again,"
neither "Installer failed to initialize. File not found. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."
and I have enough space and I have Windows xp then I should be able to install it. I tried to unistall and install again the support advisor but nothing. I'm desperate.

SB Xtreme Audio Notebook optical out problem with Home TheaterSystem-HELP!

JSB Xtreme Audio Notebook optical out problem with Home TheaterSystem-HELP!, I have this sound card connected?(optical OUT) ?to my home?theater system's digital IN ?through the recommended /8in. optical miniplug-to-optical SPDIF cable. Theater system is set correctly to Digital-In mode. I have no sound!
The cable is a Velocity Toslink-to-Optical Mini Plug digital cable. I don't see any settings in the Creative Console Launcher. The notebook is a Dell XPS M730 (Vista 32).
I have a PS3, DirecTV, and the SB Xtreme Audio Notebook cable on a hub switch that connects to the system's?one Optical IN. The PS3 and DirecTV sound perfect!
The sound card works fine with standard PC speakers. I'm at a loss as?to what to try next. I set this whole system up myself, so I'm pretty good at working out the kinks, except this one!

OK. I just went to Control Panel - Sound - Playback - Digital Output Device (SB Xtreme Audio Notebook) - Properties - Advanced. I experimented with different sample rates and bit depths. Clicked the test button and lo and behold - sound from the HTS! I've tried iTunes, PowerDVD (configured to digital output) and YouTube - no sound! Am I missing something really obvious?
HA! Just backed out to Playback and selected Digital Output Device (SPDIF) and set as Default. Sound is emunating from HTS! Well, that mystery is solved! Who knew.
Thanks anyway! Any comments or advice will still be appreciated.

Problem with ALV search help Dictionary Search Help

I have a problem with ALV search help.
I use DDIC table ZXXX with text table ZXXX_T. I created DDIC search help form table ZXXX. In my WD application, in context on COMPONENTCONTROLLER i set on attribute: 'Input help mode' as 'Dictionary Search Help' and in 'Dictionary Search Help' I pass name of new created DDIC search help.
I create a input field from that atrribute and search help works fine (there was a value and description for value from text table). So I created ALV witch contains that attribute too.
Next I set column for this attribute in ALV as editable but on Serch help for this collumn I have only value. I DON'T HAVE TEXT DESCRIPTION FOR VALUE.
Please help me and tell me what I do wrong?

Thank's for your help. I create DDic Search help for all fields from my ALV. Next I changed 'TYPE' for all ALV fields in COMPONENTCONTROLLER from ZXXX-Zfield to Zfield, and I changed 'Input help mode' from 'Automatic' to 'Dictionary Search Help'. Now I see Value and Description for value in Search Help in my ALV.

Problem with starting Photoshop CS6 in Windows 8.1 after PC weak up from sleep

I have continuously problems with Photoshop CS6. After weak up my PC from sleep mode Photoshop take ages to start. It take about 15 minutes than it starts. After restart it's just fine and Photoshop start up in few seconds. Before with Windows 8 was everything ok.
I tried reinstall whole Creative Suite, delete all files from system folders of Photoshop, no plugin used, all is up to date!
CS used: Creative Suite Design Standard CS6, Czech language (Photoshop 13.01 64 bit and 32 bit - both do the same)
System: PC, Windows 8.1 64bit Czech language, system and program discs: Intel and Corsair SSD, CPU Intel i7 4Ghz, 24GB RAM, Graphic - Nvidia Geforce 580 GTX (graphic drivers up to date).
Adobe need to fix that.

OK so this all went pear shaped after updating Windows to 8.1? Have a look at Preferences > Performance and see if Graphics acceleration is still checked. Or it might even be greyed out. Apparently the 8.1 installer arbitarily installs a generic graphics card driver, so you might find that your drive is not so up to date as it used to be.
You know that you need to update it from the card maker's site?

Problems with running Photoshop CS6 and Bridge with Lightroom 4 also on the same PC

I was running Photoshop and Bridge, then purchased Lightroom 4. Before installingt 4 I had no problems with Bridge, but since installing 4 all of the photo's that were held in bridge are now gone, but they are in Lightroom. With Lightroom, you are able to edit photos out of Lightroom and into Photoshop when necessary, save and close and it automatically changed the Lightroom picture.
I have two PC's, one has Bridge on it (this one) and the other without, but both have both editing prgrams installed. On the other PC I can switch between Lightroom and Photoshop with no problems, but when I try to switch with this PC, the one with Bridge installed, it will open Photoshop, but the photo will not transfer. If I close Photoshop program and go back to Lightroom, it will tell me that the picture could not be transfered to Photoshop because it would not launch. If I close that message window, it will then launch Photoshop and the picture transferes over allowing me to edit and save as normal.
My question is; does anyone know if Lightroom and Bridge should run side by side, or should I delete Bridge from this PC and see what happens. Bridge is just a holder and organizer of photos, wherease Lightroom does the same, but also has post editing capabilities. The two programs seem redundant, but if your running Photoshop, it's hard to get files out of Lightroom. It seems that you need to open Lightroom first, then you can view and chose a photo to work on, then move it back and forth between the two programs. This seems to make Bridge redundant.

Hi, Yes, but that actually wasn't the problem. I start out in Lightroom,
then move to Photoshop if I have something that can't be fixed in
Lightroom. The problem was that when I tried to edit, out of Lightroom and
into Photoshop, I was getting an error message that Lightroom couldn't
prepare files for transfer because Photoshop wouldn't open. But, it had
opened, the picture just wouldn't transfer. If I closed Photoshop,
Lightroom would try again and it would open and transfer the second time. I
ended up going to the Adobe help, chat line, and they looked into my PC and
located the problem, it's now working fine. Thanks to everyone for your
inputs. Most appreciated.

Problems with mac photoshop elements no longer working

I believe this problem started with or shortly after installing snow leopard. But I couldn't access my photoshop elements 6 anymore on my mac. I removed PE 6 (dragged to trash), and tried to reinstall it and now have the following error:

So I've tried to remove as files associated with PE 6 nothing has helped. I do have the original disk with the serial number etc. I even downloaded the trial of PE 8 for mac, but received the same error. I've been trying to find the answer to this problem, but nothing has helped. Even called Adobe, but they sent me to the wrong area. Sigh.
Any ideas would be welcome. I'm about to give up on photoshop and go with Aperature, but I'd rather not.

You can't install PSE 6 or 8 by trashing them. You must use the uninstaller (for PSE 6, that means putting the install disc in and choosing Remove Components rather than Install Components). However, it's too late for that now. See this for how to clean up the mess:

Problem with layered Photoshop-menu

Hey everybody,
I have encountered a rather frustrating problem in DVD Studio Pro 4.2.2.
I'm working on an educational DVD with circa 50 clips on it, therefore, I've ended up with a somewhat complicated menu. Complicated may not be the word, as much as large.
What I did was really simple, I created a Photoshop-file for each menu with three layers for each button – one for normal state, one for selected state and one for active state. This has gone smoothly and looks great.
So to my problem; I simulate the DVD and everything works fine and as it should. I do notice some delays at the heavier menus, but not enough to really bother.
When I build and format the DVD, however, and hover the options in the menu, nothing happens, when I really wish to see the selected state of the button. Not until I click a button it becomes selected, which means I have to click a button a second time to operate the DVD to its action.
I'm aware of that there are no mouseover function on a DVD since DVD-players generally don't have mouses connected to them. Nevertheless, the DVD-application, in my experience, gets that when I hover a button I want to have it selected.
I've been sitting all day trying to get to the bottom with this, without luck. And my first thought was to make a new smaller project using the same Photoshop-file and see if there was some error in my real project. But, like I said, without luck.
I originally made this with the "color-coding" and then everything worked fine, but I thought that it was too much of a quality loss in texts to use that method, and therefore, ended up with the layered photoshop-file solution.
Has anyone encountered the same problem, and does anyone know how to solve this problem of mine?

There are many reasons to not use Layered Menus, you have encountered just one. There is no mouse-over for Layered Menus. The person has to click once to select the button, then they have click again to activate the button. Another problem is that there is a 2-3 second pause each time a button is selected. On a stand alone DVD player this means that the end user could have to wait 30 seconds or more to get through menu (an eternity compared to standard menus, which everyone one is used to).
The solution is to use Standard Menus, not Layered Menus.

I am having a problem with my icloud. So here is the story. I had iphone 4. My contacts were backed. Someone stole my iphone. I got a new iphone 4s. My contacts did not sync from my previous iphone 4. so someone told me to restore to iphone 4 backup. I did. And wow! i got all my contacts back. I want all my contacts to be saved. And i don't want to lose them, it took me a while to build this list properly. With email and number and address.
Here is what i tried so far, i backed up from itunes to computer, then backup to icloud, then I did from my phone, i turned the contact switch on also, and the swtich on to back up to icloud. When I go to icloud.com. it's not there. If anyone can help me with this issue I would appreciate it. because i have a lot of contacts, and I need to save them in a way, I won't ever lose them.

You would need to backup into icloud again also if you have enough room to backup. If not purchase more icloud backup or backup to itunes. Sync your contacts back to your email where they will always be.

Please try using the phone without a Memory Card instered. If this solves the problem then you have got a bad memory card. I have had similar problem with a Nokia 6230i with a defective MMC card.
