Problems with my Zen V Plus! HELP

I will never ever buy a produckt from creative again, my mp3 is always broken, as soon as i fix whats wrong, another problem shows up.
. My mp3 player will not be detected by my computer so I cant fill my mp3 with music, how do I fix this?
2. Every time I turn on my mp3 player, it says "Re-Building Library" and whatever I do, that message won't go away, what do I do?
If anyone could please help me I would be very happy!

hi i dont know if you fixed this problem but i had the same thing happen so i did this and it works nowso hopefully it works for you?[*]Detach your player from the PC or charger?if it is connected, and turn off the player. If the player stops responding, you can reset the player. To reset the player, gently insert a thin object into the Reset hole located below the power switch.

    Hey Guys,Here is a link to instructions on how How to obtain and to install USB 2.0 drivers in Windows XP Service Pack . http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q329632?Win2000 and later have the capability to support USB 2.0, but USB 2.0 was released after XP was release, so there weren't any drivers installed before Windows XP service pack 2. Make sure you've installed all your windows updates including service pack 2. You can check if you have SP2 by right-clicking on my computer and choosing "properties", it will say on the general tab. Also the way to tell if you have USB 2.0 drivers installed is to right-click on my choose "Manage", then choose "device manager" look down to "uni'versal serial Bus controllers" and click on the + . This will expand the USB devices. Look for the word "enchanced" (USB enhanced host controller). If you see it, then you have USB 2.0 support. If not, use the link above and get the drivers.     I bought zen nano plus? month ago and while i was transfering music into it it crashed ,? it looked like its no more readable so i disconected it from my pc , it needed format , i did format and tried to transfer some music again but the same problem appeared . I thought the memory card of the player is damaged and needs to be changed or repaired? , i gave it to customer support and after a few days they said they installed newer software version to the player , well i thought it will fix the problem . Once i got home i tried to transfer music and it crashed again , i couldnt even format it cause when i plug in the mp3 F: ( usb dri've ) does not respond. I gave the mp3 to customer support again , they filled up the mp3 with music six times and everything worked fine. But at home it still crashes while transfering , so i dont know what to think . On the packet where the mp3 was when i bought is written WORKS WITH WINDOWS VISTA ,?currently i have windows xp ,? can it be that i can only transfer music without prloblems with windows vista ? can it be that zen nano plus is created to use with windows vista ?     Did you install the driver on your PC? If not, then do it. Try reformatting the player as FAT. Next try tranferring a few folders full of mp3 files. Use windows explorer to drag and drop the folders? with files to the player. Now see if the player will play them.

  • Problems with my Zen V P

    Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help me sort out a problem with the Zen V Plus that I bought a couple of months ago. Today the battery ran out so I plugged it into my laptop and left it to charge. After?a few hours I checked how it was going, and it was nearly full, so I decided to leave it for a bit longer so it could top?up completely. However, when I came to stop the charging, I discovered that the device no longer responds to any button that I press. Also, it isn't detected by my computer when its plugged in. I have charged it'sbefore with no problems.

    while holding the reset button turn it on by using the power swich [Image]

  • VERY BIG PROBLEMS WITH MY ZEN MICRO AND MEDIASOURCE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE RESPOND

    Ok so a while back I had to give up my computer because it wasn't working.
    I thought that with my new computer I'd be able to transfer all of my music from my zen micro onto my new computer.
    Now my new computer is set up and I have installed creative mediasource and everything. I started to transfer my music from my zen onto my computer. My first 2 songs transfered successfully onto my computer. On the third song, I get this message:
    "Unable to read file, file may be in use, missing, or corrupted."
    I thought that maybe it was just that one song so I shrugged it off. But then it says the same thing for every single other song that i have! Only my first 2 songs out of my entire music library on my zen will transfer!!!
    Please i really need your help!!!
    And say that there is no hope in getting the rest of my songs to transfer and i have to download 094 songs from limewire? I'll surely be arrested for downloading that much! What should i do if i must download all of them?
    And one more problem with my zen: Some of my Jump Little Children songs are doing something weird. The song will be fine and then a clip from another song will play during it! And then press next and it just keeps playing all of my Jump songs in order even though my player is on shuffle and they do the same thing with the clip from another song interupting it. Whats going on?
    Most importantly though, i really need the questions answered about transfering from my zen to my computer because i'll be getting a new player soon. But this is my entire music library at stake!! PLEASE RESPOND!!!

  • Problems with new Zen firmware. Device keeps hang

    Hi,
    I currently am facing some problems with my zen. I have used the zen for 2 mths without problems. When I recently updated the firmware, my zen keeps hanging and it turns on with dim lighting. It is unable to turn on or off and i need to do a reset in order for it to work. Can someone help? My battery keeps draining out while I sleep.

    Hi,I have upgraded? my firmware again and the problem seems to have stopped. However, there is a problem with viewing xvid files now. I have compress the files to 320x240 and copied them into the player and it was playing fine. After I upgraded the firmware, I get an error that the format is not supported??

  • Problems with my Zen Touch

    Tracks seem to be jumping a bit so i did a reset and clean up, however after it started rebuilding library, a firmware problem is popping up and i've have no clue how to solve it. Resetting it just brings me right back and I can't get it to the menu for reboot/ format. Please help !

    I'm having the same problem with my Zen Touch. When I press Play/Pause, it will sometimes work correctly, other times it acts as if I had pressed Previous. When it does this, it sometimes jumps to the start of the current track, sometimes to a different track. This is the most common problem, but I have also had it act as if I had hit Random. I have tried loading the latest firmware, but this had no effect on the problem. Thanks.

    I have big Problems with my Zen Touch 40gb May be one of the members here can help me!!because my local dealer isnt able to do this Because the player is older than one year ( y and 3 months) I think that the garanty is normaly to short for this player. In germany you can read a lot about the problems of the Zen. Can it be that the Software doesnt work 00 % I was the last year in Poland so i had the zen 3 times in use The player freeze everytime and the biggest problem now, i cant switch the player on to make an update or something !!! please help.

    sry about ur problem. I had/have some of ur problems with my zen micro 5g. have u tried 2 reset it into recovery mode and do a cleanup? it won't mess up any of ur songs or anything like that.

    hello, i have a problem with my zen. I've reload my zen all the night (with a special chager), i can't turn it on, when i connect it to my pc, there is a light blue, but my pc dont detect it, there is a "!" yellow in the periph settings... I have recovery 2 times, after that it work some minutes, but i cant put music or photos in my zen, the software and my pc dont detect it, i have xp pro sp2, windows media player . I cant recovery the zen with the special tools because it isnt detect by my pc... Thanks for ur help

    The first step is to do a cleanup >reboot on the player if that don't work? then while connected uninstall thru Device Manager,reboot computer then plugin to have Windows find & reinstall the player, if that? doesn't work then format,cleanup>reboot player to see if that solves the problem. loosing files is a last resort . Whatever you do DO NOT choose RELOAD FIRMWARE as you don't have recognition from the computer & can not reload it.   • A few Problems with my Zen Mi

    Hi I have had my player for just over year now and a few problems have just come up. First off the power switch is getting harder and harder to use. I am having to push the power button pretty hard now and have to hold it for a little while. Also when connect my player into the computer and go into the creative mediasouce player and click to access my zen micro it says its not connected.
    Can anyone help me with these problems.
    Its a 5gb zen micro version .02.05 if that means anything

    Regarding your connection problems, are you using WMP? It is known to cause connection problems with the Zens.
    Have you tried reinstalling the Creative Software?
    Have you tried the connection with another PC IF available?
    And regarding the power button, I'm guess that it is due to aging? I still have my Zen Micro (even though I use my ZVM) and I do have to hold the power button a little bit longer than before (3-5 seconds more) for it to turn on. Same happens when I use the lock mode (I just tried it)
    and it's kinda rough for it to push instantly (effortless but still feels a little rough).

  • PROBLEMS with the zen sto

    so the first problem with my zen stone i found was that no matter how much music i had on it, it would only play certain songs. for example, if i have 200 songs on it, it only plays abou 30 of them over and over....i tried using the online manual but that was NO HELP, it makes no sense when it tries to describe how to organize music/folders.
    now i have another problem...my stone WONT PLAY MUSIC. i open the folder and click and drag files from itunes(like i did before) into the folder, and it loads them. as soon as i disconnect my player and hold down the play button to play, it blinks 3 times and nothing happens, and everytime i hit play after that it does the same thing..
    please helP!

    I can't see why this matters because the problems are located at the player itself, I've got no
    problems with moving files to the player or any problems with connecting the player with the computer,
    I'm experiencing a lot of freezups of the firmware of the player, harddisk keeps running, it does that
    till the battery is low or till I push reset, sometimes this doesn't help at all, the operating system at
    the harddri've gets somehow damaged by the instability of the filesystem, reflashing the firmware helps
    the. Problems appear to be a software problem with the firmware, the player went away for repairs once,
    with this problem, they have checked the harddisk, harddisk was fine but the os crapped up it's self
    somehow, know this because I asked them to tell me every thing what was wrong and how they solved this,
    asked them also how I could fix the player myself? if it was no hardware problem.
    They told me to reflash the firmware and format the dri've from the service mode out.

    I have the Creative Zen Touch DAP HD004 as listed in the subject. Version .0.03
    In the "Information" part of the player, it lists it as having GB of music available, but in the menu only the 59 default classical music songs appear. (These are not knowingly mine!)
    I was wondering whether there was any way to turn the player into Hard Dri've mode to retrieve these songs, or to use some sort of program to view them and put them back onto the player? Everytime I use My Computer to browse the MP3 Player, all that appears are the same 59 songs.
    I hope this information can help someone to solve my problem!!

    EDIT: I downloaded a trial version of "Notmad Explorer" and I can now see 2590 Data Files. Once I download a full version, is it simple to just conver Data Files into Audio Files?

    settigns>itunes and app store to make sure you are signed in.. If  you are, you will see your account name..... anyhow, click your account name, sign out and sign back in
    also go to to settings>general>reset and reset network settings... if that doesnt work settings>general>reset and reset all settings!
    one of those shall work. The last step would be to restore your device (apple.com/support) HT1414

    Thank you for posting your list of installed Extensions. One of them might be intercepting the menu command. Since you have the Add-on Compatibility Reporter, it's possible that an older add-on that doesn't actually work well with Firefox 5 could be to blame. Could you try disabling the "HP Smart Web Printing" extension and see whether that makes any difference?
    Also, you can simulate a print button on a web site by pasting this to the location bar and pressing Enter. You also can save it as a bookmark for easier access (when scripts are saved as bookmarks, we call them bookmarklets). Hopefully you won't need it for long.
