Problems with NI-488 cPCI adapter under QNX.

The problems that I am having with the NI 488 cPCI adapter are random, so
it is
very difficult to nail down where the problem lies. Sometimes the adapter
fails
the initialization sequence in the nitn_presence_check routine at various
points in the 4 tests that the driver performs. Other times, if the adapter
initialization passes, the driver will loop in the nitn_wrtPIO with the
message
"waiting, isr3=0x4c" or "waiting, isr3=0x00". I have added a loop count to
the
routine so that it exits after 100 loops, but it still affects the driver
performance. I have had a similar problem with the nitn_wrt1byte routine.
I have been told that the driver works under Windows and Linux, but it
doesn't
work under QNX, and I have no idea why not, as I don't have any chip-level
documentation on the adapter. I will appreciate any help that you can give.

Problem with XML SQL JDBC adapter

Hello All.
I have quite strange problem with my PI.
Whole scenario is SOAP -> JDBC, asynchronous. Everything works fine on DEV server. After transporting objects (using CTS) to QA env I'm getting this error:
JDBC Message processing failed, due to Error processing request in sax parser:
No 'action' attribute found in XML document
(attribute "action" missing or wrong XML structure)
But document seems to be correct. I've compared it to DEV server documents - they are identical. What could be wrong??

Hi,
i was also facing the same error few days back in a JDBC -RFC-JDBC Synchronous scenario. In that scenario, i was using 2 modules in JDBC sender module tab. It was working fine. later i change polling interval and then i started getting same error. it happened coz of sequence of Module got changed somehow.
So please check in Receiver JDBC adapter and SOAP sender adapter CC if anything is changed. If this scenario is working in DEV as it is then it should work after transport.

Problems with Wireless Router and Adapter

I'm using a WRT54G Router btw, and the firmware is v2.02.7, Feb. 27, 2004.

I have a Linksys Wireless G Router and several computers that I try to connect with. One of them is a computer running Windows XP and using a Linksys Wireless USB B Adapter (WUSB11). Another is a laptop running Mandriva Linux using a Linksys Instant Wireless Network PC Card (WPC11). Another one is running Windows Vista and using a Linksys Wireless N card. I also have a laptop running Windows XP using a Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter (WPC54G). I also have another PC running Windows XP and uses a Linksys Wireless USB Adapter WUSB54G. Finally, I have two macintosh laptops running OSX and with airport devices installed.
Anyway, I have problems with my internet connection frequently being interrupted and even sometimes I won't have a connection at all for hours. This occurs with my Linux laptop, the PC with the Wireless B Adapter, and the laptop using the Wireless G Notebook Adapter. In addition to this, the macintosh laptops have internet even more infrequently. However, I seem to never have a problem with the Windows Vista desktop or the Windows XP desktop that has the Wireless G adapter. I try repairing the connection and often it does not work. I have also tried resetting the router and the cable modem. I'm not sure what else I can do. I even bought a Wireless N router and had little success with that. We even went as far as moving the wireless router upstairs into our living room, thinking that the signal was somehow suffering from interference or that distance was a factor. Anyway, sorry for the long post but I could really use some help!

Hi… logon to wireless N router’s setup page, open I.E. an in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 it would ask for username and password, put "admin" as a paassword (default password) without any username...linksys setup pops up, click on on wireless tab and and try changing radio band to wide 40MHz, wide channel to 9 and wireless standard channel to 1 or 11, go to advanced wireless settings reduce beacon interval to 50, fragmentation and RTS threshold to 2304, change N Transmission rate to 270 MBps…also try upgrading latest firmware on router, check whether it makes any difference or not and let me know.

Gigantic problems with graphc card GeFore 8800GT under MacPro

I'm a user of MacPro 2 Quad-Core 3GHz computer with NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT graphic card.
This is my second card like this one becouse I can't find any other with low price for exchange and for good using OpenGL.
Now I have gigantic problems with this card under Mac again, please help.
It have extreme temperatures and graphic crashes when I use on any game or anything which harder use it. At real, my older card before burn out and go to trash after this. Now it comes again
Is there any software to speedup windmill or any thing in my system what I can change for this? I have a plan to buy a cooler, but I need help in software before this.
Why good quality company like Apple use this bugged cards in expensive computers, I can't understand this.

Nvidia had / has had / a run of problems - and Apple can choose Intel integrated, AMD.... or Nvidia basically. Though on PC side there are reference designs and then HIS (makes a really good ATI with its own design and cooper cooler), EVGA on Nvidia front.
We don't get all that many options.
Drivers always get a lot of "heat" and criticism.
Was so glad to have X1900 as a choice, but not the $399 (or wait and $250 BTO) 5 yrs ago, and its history of problems. And recalls. Or ATI 2600XT. Can't win for losing sometimes.
One reason I went and bought GTX 460 and run Windows on my Mac Pro today of all things. Other reasons too over the years. Locked into EFI graphic cards and you can have anything you want on the salad bar, as long as you want either shrimp or chicken.
So heat up the oven, get out the egg timer, and have at it!

Problem With Seeing Message in Adapter Engine

Hello Everyone,
We are facing a strange problem while running an Integration Process, BPM in PI. In the process, we are trying to read a .CSV File and convert it into a .XML File via FCC. The .CSV file is placed in the XI box itself, under a certain directory. We have configured the process such that whenever the .CSV file is read, its attributes are set to 'read only'. After configuring the process, the required XML file did not show up. So we checked that whether the .CSV file was read and it showed up attributes of 'read only'.We cross checked
 -First by going to SXMB_MONI; here it said 'No messages available for selection'
 -Then by examining the 'channel monitoring' in AE; where we found both the sender and receiver channel are showing green. The sender channel first shows up that 'Processing started' and then 'Processing Completed Successfully'. The receiver channel does not show up any messages.
 -we checked for the XML messages that are in the Adapter in IDX5; it shows 'no messages selected'.
 -We anticipated that it may be a cache problem and cleared all the caches; but when we tried to clear the Adapter Framework Cache, it popped up an authorization error and the problem persisted.
We are using NW2004s with SP6 at the ABAP and BASIS stack and SP 9 at the Java Stack. Also, all the required connections made in SM59 are in order.
Now, What can be the problem? Is it the difference in SP level that is causing the problem? Or is it something else? What have we missed? Guys, please help us solve this problem.

1.Document name is indeed the name of message type in our case.
2. We did not use delete mode; but once the file was read- we manually changed its attributes from 'RA' to 'A'..and it became 'RA' again after 2 seconds; which is our polling interval.
3. And we have discovered that the file is being read properly..because we can see the XML payload of it and it contains the correct data.But still it does neither show up in SXMB_MONI..nor in IDX5.
Can you please tell us what are the necessary roles for the User PIAFUSER? We suspect that somewhere's an authorization error we are getting; because the AF cache refresh attempt shows "Forbidden" and we are getting an error in Tcode SXI_SHOW_MESSAGE as:
AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR: no_adapter_engine_found: Unable to find Adapter Engine:; Stack trace shows:Error while reading access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine

Problem with Variable Substitution Receiver Adapter

Hi,
I need to use a dynamic filename so I'm using the variable substitution in my receiver adapter. BUT, the filename can't appear in the file. So i used this blog in reference --> Solution to the problem encountered using Variable Substitution with XI-SP12
The PROBLEM is I still get and extra blank line in the file. How can I eliminate this extra line?

Problem with audio and vga adapter in presentations

this is an odd problem. I potted a presentation that contained a qt movie. The video plays with sound just fine via the vga adapter until you plug in an external speaker system or earphone. the sound stops.
if you play a video outside keynote or play the video with out the video vga adapter or just unplug from the audio jack it works fine. am I missing something or is this a bug. For the life of me I can not figure out what the VGA in keynote has to do with audio.

Dr. John, this might be a little simple of an answer, but is the video jack pushed all the way in?
I had the same issue with my ipad playing a movie over a sound system and projecting it also, and discovered that the Apple issue iPad cover comes very close to interfering with the audio output jack, and that my plug into that jack wasn't all of the way in.
After that it's worked fine.

Problems with saving a html webpage under windows 7

Hello people,
Ik have the next problem. When I an webpage witch I have made for instanse webpage.html open and I change something in it en I wanna save this changes in my webpage I get the next message (maybe the translation is not the right one) An error occurred while accessing E:\users\name\websites\MFC936D.tmp.
This tmp file has every time a different name. The site is not saved (webpage.html) but the html page disapeares when I click the eroor message away. And the tmp file displays in the map where the files are being saved.
My dreamweaver cs4 runs under windows 7
I hope someone can help me.

The file is maybe read only you say. But 2 things sometimes it saves right after I have tried it a few times. And second I have started dreamweaver with administration rights, so you think he has all the rights. But the sme thng happened.

Problem With Receiver Communication (File Adapter)

My SAP XI Version is 3.0 with Service Pack 7,I have a strange problem,
I have a flat file coming from Unix system,I need to convert this into XML and put a copy in the Archive mode and send the XML file,getting it converted into flat file format send it to the receiver.Here I have to do the content Conversion,So,I have done content conversion while configuring Sender and Receiver Communication Channel.
I am using NFS as Transport Proctocol.So, everthing was fine when i run the scenario,after activating.The Sender communication Channel is Archiving the files.But I am unable to see any file with receiver communication channel.
So,for this I have checked up with Adapter monitoring in Runtime Workbench. In my File Adapter My Sender as well as Receiver Communication Channels are in Green.They are mentioning that Sender Communction is sucessful and
RECEIVER COMMUNICATION IS Sucessful but no messages processed.
Can any one suggest what to do now.Everything is fine with Content conversion and Unix System.But my receiver is not receiving any messages.
Should any OSS notice or patch work needs to be applied.

I Guess you should first see if the file is being picked......for that do the following.
While configuring your Sender File Adapter, let the mode be DELETE. This way, we will know if the file is being picked by the File adapter. The file will be deleted and you can be sure that it has been picked up.
Next, look into the RWB--> FILE ADAPTER and see the log of the file adapter
and also, you can see the flow of your message in the integration engine in SXMB_MONI.
Ans still if your message is not showing up in SXMB_MONI, please do as explained below.
Increase logging and trace level in:
SXMB_ADM -> Integration Engine Configuration -> Specific Configuration
Also create entries as follows in it:
LOGGING = 1
LOGGING_SYNC = 1
TRACE_LEVEL = 3
TRACE_LEVEL_PROPAGATION = 1
Also refer XI: I cannot see some of my messages in the SXMB_MONI

Audio problem with firewire to thunderbolt adapter

I am running four channels of audio from a Yamaha Motif synthesizer into a new iMac using the firewire to thunderbolt adapter and recording to Logic. I get very loud distortion. I unplug the same cord and remove the adapter and run the same audio into my 2011 MacBook Pro and record the audio with no distortion. I can run MIDI into the iMac using the adapter with no problem. What gives?

The iMac has three USB and three Thunderbolt. The Yamaha has Firewire out which carries 16 channels of audio. It works great with my MacBook Pro, but the Thunderbolt Converter seems to mess it up. It's fru
strating having bought a brand new iMac and not being able to use it to record. Now when I try to record a single channel of piano, Logic starts blinking on and off, alternating with whatever window is behind it. This is doubly frustrating.

Problem with Sender JMS J2EE adapter...

I have configured the sender JMS J2EE adpater. I am getting this error at Adapter monitoring:
Sender channel. Details: Last Exception during send at Fri May 25 09:44:18 CEST 2007: Error converting Message: 'java.lang.Exception: ERROR consistency check in recordset structure validation (line no. 1: missing structure(s) in last recordset'.
I am using recordset structure as Header,1,Item,99999. and also i am ignoring the recordsetName...i tried confiuring the File adapter using same parameters as in JMS adapter it is not giving any error at Adapter Monitoring.
Also i configured File adapter by putting in their the parameters of J2EE JMS adapter in Module tab, it too worked...
so What is exactly this error, if anyone can please tell me...

FCP 5 has problems with how I did projects under FCP 4.

For the most part, I've been very happy with FCP 5, but it's very buggy in a couple of respects that pertain to how I create my projects. Now, I'm getting an error that is preventing me from finishing a project, so I don't have to tell you how critical my issue is, nor do I have to emphasize how quickly I need an answer.
To begin with, I will explain how I did my projects under FCP 4. I would begin by capturing all the raw footage in OfflineRT with my Power Mac G5 dual 2 GHz, then copy the project file and all media files to their respective locations on my 12-inch PowerBook G4, for portability. I would complete the offline edit on the PowerBook, then create an online project file, which I would then transfer back to the Power Mac. I would recapture footage in the new project, everything would fall into place, and all was well.
Since "upgrading" to FCP 5, this method doesn't seem to work anymore. The first sign of a problem was when I created the online project file on my first FCP 5 project. After an attempt to re-capture the footage on the Power Mac, I got an error message that the video was in an incorrect format, or something like that (unfortunately, this was some time ago, so I don't remember the exact phrasing of the error message). I was able to resolve the issue by unchecking the box in the media manager to delete unused media from duplicated items. This forced FCP to create an online file that captured every frame of my original raw footage, not just the parts that were used in the online edit. It took up more space, but at least I could get the project done.
Now, I'm getting more strange behavior, and it's preventing me from completing my latest project, even though I'm following the same steps I did on my previous project. The first thing I noticed this time was when I first tried building the online project file using Media Manager, it took a VERY long time to build the list of used media - something on the order of 15-20 minutes, when before it only took seconds for similar projects. Then, I got the following error message once the new online project had been created:
"Reconnect Media Failed: An unknown error occurred while trying to reconnect C-2 to the new offline file." This error kept occurring multiple times when I clicked continue until I finally checked the box next to it asking to ignore these reporting errors.
C-2 is one of the master clips for my project.
Undaunted, I proceeded to see if moving the new online project file to the Power Mac and re-capturing the footage in NTSC DV would work. Curiously, the Power Mac needed to capture C-2 twice. Although the length of the clip is only 45 minutes or so, FCP needed to capture 90 minutes. Unfortunately, after capturing, I got the same error message as before, but with different phrasing:
"Reconnect Media Failed - An unknown error occurred while trying to reconnect C-2 to the newly captured media. Try recapturing this clip to resolve the problem."
Recapturing the clip doesn't solve the problem. I keep getting the same errror message. Since this clip is one of my master clips, I simply cannot complete the project unless I can capture this clip somehow and have it reattach to the offline files.
The only thing I can think of, since I've been making projects this way since FCP 3 with no issues, is that it has something to do with FCP 5's new multiclip function. I have been using it extensively, and I suspect the error I received the first time was because every clip was linked to others through multiclips, and some shifting of in or out points may have occurred, which broke this link. Forcing FCP to capture all raw footage in its entirety resolved that issue the first time, but not this time.
Would someone PLEASE tell me ASAP how to fix this? How can I complete my project in online, DV-NTSC quality? Is there a possibility I can recapture the files in my offline project in DV quality, perhaps?
How can I prevent this from happening in the future? As I said, this never happened before I upgraded to FCP 5, and if this is the price I have to pay to have multiclip editing, I don't know if it's worth it. Maybe I should get a refund.

Finally found the answer myself. My camcorder glitched during the offline capture session, and it didn't recreate the glitch during the online capture, so the frame counts were different.

Problems with my iLuv radio adapter

i have a iPod touch and i got a iLuv radio adapter but my ipod wont play music through it. it connects to it and charges while connected but the songs wont play. anyone had this problem and know a fix?

Try changeing the wireless channel width on the router to (20MHZ only ).. and standard channel to 1 , 6 or 11 (Oberve the connectivity on each channel for some time)
Check if there is any other interference devices (2.4GHZ)
And the last thing you can try is disabling the firewall on the router
Go to the setup page of the router - Unchecked the box which says Filter Anonymous Internet Requests under the security tab..
