Problems with non-existent waveform cache...

Question

I previously posted this:
+I cannot open Final Cut. I have an error saying 'The Waveform Cache Files Folder does not have read/write access. Please select a new folder in the System Settings Dialog or correct the problem on disk'. Final Cut then proceeds to shut down, so I cannot change any user settings within the program.+
+I have made all Final Cut folders read/write as well as my external hard drive and anything else with Final Cut on it. It still presents this warning.+
And was replied to with this:
+Delete the Waveform Cache Files folder in the Finder.+
+Open Final Cut Pro by clicking the FCP application icon -not by opening a project.+
+In the Menu bar click on Final Cut Pro > System Settings. Reset the loction of your Waveform Cache Files folder. The folder will be re-created in the directory that you choose.+
So, I have deleted all the waveform cache files.
I copied the Final Cut Pro Documents file onto my hard drive and deleted the original from my laptop. Last night all was running fine.
This morning I have the same warning as earlier:
"The waveform cache file does not have read/write access."
There IS no waveform cache file? I've done searches on both my hard drive and the external hard drive and all that remains are the invisible outlines of the files I deleted last night.

P.S. I still have my Final Cut Pro project file (which I am desperately praying is my saving grace) but I can't find other associated files.
