Problems with pages and mountain lion

Hey i just updated my iwork, and installed mountain lion, solely for the iwork icloud feature. I do a lot of work on my ipad and it would be very useful if they would sync with my macbook. But unfortunately when i create a new document in pages for the icloud it just says the files name and has a picture of a cloud underneath with "waiting" next to it. Why is this??

  • Potential Problems with Airplay and Mountain Lion

    Hey Everyone,
I recently purchased an Apple TV, and I tried to use Airplay with our Macbook Pros. Airplay would work with all of the iOS Devices, but when it came to using with the MBP, it would either show a black screen, or a frozen image of my screen. I called AppleCare, and the rep told me it was a problem with the AppleTV, so I returned it and bought a new one, and it did the same thing. I found out that the problem was occuring because of the type of router I was using. I have a dualband router, and I set everything on one band of the router. I decided to try to place the laptops on a different band, and that's all it took. My airplay now works flawlessly.
So, if you're having a problem with airplay, and you have a dualband router, try placing your computer & iOS devices on the opposite band, and it should work perfectly.
    Hope this helps.

  • PROBLEMS WITH JAMVOX AND MOUNTAIN LION ?

I USE THE JAMVOX GUITAR INTERFACE WITH MY MACBOOK PRO. EVERYTHING WAS WORKING HUNKY DORY AFTER UPGRADING TO MOUNTAIN LION...BUT THEN, AFTER ABOUT THREE WEEKS, IT JUST STOPPED WORKING. EVERY TIME I TRY TO START THE PROGRAM NOW,  GET THE SPINNING MAC "WAIT"  BALL. IM SEEING ON VOX'S WEBSITE THAT OTHERS ARE ALSO HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS. HAS ANYONE FIGURED OUT A WORK AROUND ? MANY THANKS FOR THE HELP.

I am truly disappointed in the new operating system, is there anyway to switch back to OSX Lion and perhaps get my money back?
Why do you think that is the normal performance for Mountain Lion?
First thing to try is boot into Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key on restart.
It will take a little while to boot as it runs some disk checks. Once it is done, it will show the login screen. Log in and try it out. If everything seems normal, you likely have some third-party software that is incompatible with ML.
If it is still messed up, boot into the Recovery HD (cmd-r on restart) and Repair the disk using Disk Utility.
Restart and see if there are still problems.
If so, I would reinstall ML and see if that fixes the issues.

  • Is there a problem with Airport and Mountain Lion?

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, I am having all kinds of trouble connecting to the web. My connection drops and my network will not relaunch? Is anyone else having this problem?
    Thanks
    Chuck

It wasn't Mountain Lion, it was my moving my stuff to a place that had a internet address conflict. I redid all of mine, and now is working fine.

  • Connectivity issue with LeapPad and Mountain Lion

Has anyone else had issue with connecting a Leappad game console with Mountain lion? I keep getting an error message asking me to switch off and then on again to solve the problem, but it doesn't solve the problem..... I have tried manually giving the Leapster an ip address but whatever i try just fails.. HELP.???

I have the same issue and have contacted tech support.
This is the response I have from them:
    Hi,
    Thank you for your email,
Unfortunately there is some issues currently with MAC OSX Mountain Lion and the Leappad Explorer drivers. We have been in contact with apple regarding this solution and have developed a fix for the issue. This will be implemented in Apple's next OSX update which should be soon.
If you have any other questions please let us know,

  • Is everybody getting problem with OS X Mountain Lion in this world or few people

Apple should fix immediately this new version or Genuis come ahead. I am checking every big informaton website but no one highlighted these issues.

    Hello BinodDhami,
I agree with Grant Bennet-Alder, what you see here "are only a handful" of users who are having problems big or small with Mountain Lion.
I for one have a smooth upgrade for both my iMac and MacBook air, and I think whoever were running Lion should have a smoother upgrade becasue Lion and Mountain Lion are very similar and they probably share a lot of the same codes, as compared to older OS.
It may be too late to say here, but whenever you perform a major OS upgrade, and like all mac websites have recommended, you always
    1. Perform all the OS and software updates
    2. Back up
You would also find out, especially if yours is a daily working computer, that your major running software is compatible with the new OS.
Like for me, I run Adobe Creative Suite, and have major apps like Norton Internet Security, Maintain Cocktail, SuperDuper, CandyBar, DockStar and Attachment Tamer running, so I make sure they are all compatible with Mountain Lion before I hit install.
As for your problem, maybe you can start a new discussion and detail as much as possible, your mac's problems, what 3rd party apps etc you have that you think might affect it, and screen shots - It's a wonderful thing now that this forum allows us to post screen shots!
    Cheers

  • Selling a 2009 Mac with FCP and Mountain Lion?

I am selling my 2009 iMac and I would like to reset it to the factory settings, BUT I would like to also keep Final Cut Studio and Mountain Lion on it. Is this possible? If not, is there a work-around?

As for the OS (Mountain Lion), no you cannot. Unfortunately, the license is not transferable for any OS purchased at the app store. You will need to erase and reinstall the original OS; if you leave ML on it, the buyer will never be able to reinstall as the purchase/license is tied to your Apple ID forever. You also need to give the buyer the original install disks. I'd tell the buyer that I've discounted the price by $20 so he can buy ML with his own Apple ID since it wouldn't work with my ID.
If you purchased Final Cut on retail disks, then yes, you are allowed to sell or transfer those as long as you do not retain a copy, and you must give the disks to the buyer. It won't do him any good without the disks in case there needs to be a reinstall. If you purchased it at the app store, the same license applies: any app purchased at the app store is not transferable and will not work reliably as Apple's servers would be able to detect its presence on another machine with a different ID.
There is no workaround - this is what is required legally; if you wish to do something else, no one here is going to suggest anything as we would be violating the ToU of these forums.

  • Application problems with pages and numbers after Yosemite install

Since upgrading to Yosemite and updating my applications, I have problems opening some documents in Pages and Numbers and get a message
You need a newer version of Numbers to open this spreadsheet.
I also have 2 icons for Pages? The old icon and the new?
When an upgrade occurs doesn't the old version normally get "absorbed" by the new version?
What do I need to do to resolve this?

There are other problems in Pages and Keynote and Numbers.  When you use the Share tool, and choose Open In Another App...... no apps are listed except for iTunes U.   This is an error, as there are several apps available on the ipad that open Pages.  Also, in the Share tool, if I select  Send a Copy,  the email option is not available.  We have checked with app developers who say they their most recent app version addresses this issue, but it doesn't.
We have tried to erase and reset the ipad, put everything back, and the problem still exists.

  • Problems with scrolling after mountain lion download.

I just downloaded mountain lion today and ever since the download I am having issues with the scrolling for my magic mouse and trackpad. My problem is when I scroll down on my mouse or trackpad it actually goes up on the page and vice versa. I have seen others have had some scrolling issues but not exactly the same as mine. Just wondering if there is any known fix for this problem? I did the PRAM reset and also the SMC reset and that didn't fix the problem unfortunately.

Look in System Preferences > Trackpad (or mouse) > Scroll & Zoom tab > uncheck Scroll direction: Natural.
The scrolling direction has been changed to a technique where your push the screen up or pull it down, takes a few days to get used to.  The swipe directions will also be affected by this change.

  • Problem with pages and kontakte

On my macbook (OSX 10.6.8) with "Pages '08 (3.0.3)" and "Adressbuch (5.0.3)", personalizing documents with contacts data works very well (e.g. "Mit Adressbuch-Daten zusammenführen..."). However, on my iMac (10.8.5) there is no "Adressbuch" but "Kontakte (7.1)" and personalizing does not work ("Keine Einträge im Adessbuch"). It looks like Pages tries to find "Adressbuch" and ignores "Kontakte".
Please help to solve this problem. Thanx

I found the solution to my problem in the discussion
Contacts to Pages Mail Merge in Mountain Lion Broken?
So I need no further help as to this tpic. Thanx

  • Problems with iMac since Mountain Lion upgrade

So , several problems that I have experienced since upgrading to Mountain Lion.
    1. When I "log off" off my iMac from the top left "apple" symbol, I get the rainbow wheel of death.
    2. When accessing YouTube home screen or yahoo in Safari, the page is a white screen. Nothing more, nothing less.
            *  I have been reading some people saying that this happens to them too, but only when using an account with parental controls.
    3. Hard drive "grinds" incessantly.
            * I have never even seen the rainbow wheel or heard my hard drive grind on my iMac untill this upgrade.
Anybody know of any solutions, or also having these issues?

For anyone else having the "white screen" issue with youtube, and/or yahoo issue. I seemed to have repaired the issue. I turned the parental controls off for both of my kids accounts, restarted my Mac, and the problem vanished.
I also turned the parental controls back on after this, restarted the computer, and the problem came back.
*** This is 100% a Parental Control/Mountain Lion glitch. Hopefully Apple knows and is working on a solution. The sooner they fix it, the sooner I can turn the parental controls back onto my kids accounts.

  • Video "Dropouts" with FCS and Mountain Lion

I would like to see if anyone else is having this problem and maybe save some folks from the experience.
    I have two macs.
    #1- Imac, 2.93, core 2 duo, 4g ram, 24".
    #2-Macbook Pro, 17", 2.53, 4g
    4t g-raids
Clean Install done on Imac of Mountain Lion.  Reloaded fcs.
Did NOT touch macbook.  Still running Snow Leopard.
Working on large video job...1080 60i, avchd, panny cam.
Went to transfer footage using all usual settings.
Video on imac looked like "old school" video drop outs.  As you can imagine, it was a long night to figure this out.
Erased footage and hooked up my g-raids to the Macbook.  Looked fine.
Took hard drives back to imac, tried transfer again.  Stuttering and drop outs continued.
Back to Macbook with Snow Leopard, no problems.  My guy is editing job right now on Macbook.
I am in the middle of a clean install of Snow Leopard on the imac.  I'm gonna have to send the "boys" out to get my $20 bucks back from Apple.
Thought I'd post it in case someone sees same thing and thinks they are crazy.
Mountain lion could not capture footage without drops.  Snow Leopard (my trusty os) did it all.
Shocked I say, Apple....Shocked.  (Not really, been down this road before) Never believe what they say.  Don't upgrade unless forced by gunpoint.

  • Problem with Mail in Mountain Lion -- reply all function

Ever since upgrading to Mountain Lion in Mail when I hit reply all my email address is included in the cc line, so I get sent my responses.  Any one else having this problem or know how to fix it?  This didn't happen in previous versions.

re: "like on my iMac, when it sleeps, it doesn't fetch email anymore like it did before Mountail Lion"
First, this really should be in a seaparate thread.
What is happening, just like my MBP, is that ML is *actually* sleeping properly. For as long as I used 10.7 on my MBP, it appered to be sleeping, but it really was not (screen black, etc.). And yes, mail would still come through.
Now with ML, it sleeps like it is supposed to sleep, and mail is not received when asleep.
Nothing wrong, no bug, just working properly now.

  • Anyone having issues with MacBook Pro2,2 with sleep and Mountain Lion?

Since installing Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro (2,2, June 2007), I am unable to put my machine to sleep. I close cover and the fan keeps running.
Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

Scroll through this board to see the varied problems with ML, I don't think Apple even bothered to test Logic with ML,  many problems with interface freeze/lag, also some problems with audio stuttering. Don't know how much longer Snow Leopard will be supported but I'm staying there as long as possible. Sorry I don't have better news.
