I scan student work that is handwritten. I use preview to select a portion of that work and then I paste the portion of the image I have selected into pages or some other application. Since upgrading to Snow Leopard when I partially select an area in preview everything appears normal. But when I paste into another app it pastes the entire image, not the portion I have selected. I could really use your help on this...

Hi all,
I have a problem with my Windows Server 2012 R2 with Essential installed. When I try to run Server Manager the server manager window doesn't appear and the same thing applies for starting the essentials dashboard. This leads to that some of the features doesn't
work properly like remote web access, client backup and so on. When I check the Services a lot of services haven't even started. Trying to manually start for example Windows Server Essentials Management Services gives me following error message:
"Windows could not start the Windows Server Essentials Management Services on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start"
What can be wrong here? I haven't done anything to the server that could start these problems. This started all of a sudden.

EDIT:
I rebooted my server in safe mode and I tried to run SFC /Scannow which stops at 84% and gives me following message:
"Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
I also tried to run "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth". This did not help either. It completes the operation but nothing changes. The problem is still there.
I thought that my server backups were OK and that this problem would be gone by restoring the C: drive with backup image. The problem is that all my good backups was rewritten with new backups that could not take backup of the C: drive for some reason. Now
I need to solve this problem without reinstalling the whole operating system.
EDIT:
I have also completed the chkdsk C: /r command and now the SFC /Scannow command can be completed, with notification that some files could not be fixed. I have attached the sfcdetail.txt file which points out that
"tsgclean.exe" cannot be repaired. What has that file to do with my WS2012 problems...

Did you remember any operation which you had done before this issue occurred? For examples, install any update,
install any third-party application or any other? Just a confirmation, thanks for your understanding.
For those problematic services, please open services’ Properties and navigate to
Dependencies tab, then check if all system components which this service depends on run as normal.
In addition, please open Event Viewer and check if find relevant events. Meanwhile, please follow the path:
%programdata%\Microsoft\Windows Server\Logs and check Dashboard log file if find more clues.
By the way, when you run
sfc /scannow command completely, did you open Server Manager or Dashboard again? Any difference?

Regarding the third-party applications:
I have not installed any third-party application that could cause this problem. All my third-party applications that are installed on the WS2012 R2 are confirmed working well with the operative system and are installed at the time when I hadn't these problems.
I cannot say anything about windows update because that is something that I update once in a week after checking that no user is reporting any issues. I have learned my leason with windows update when I had Surface Pro 2, that was a dissaster.
Regarding the Windows Updates:
Anyway, I tried to remove all the windows updates before as well (not the security updates) down to 5th December which is the time when I know that my server worked well. Only two updates could not be removed (KB3012199 and KB2989647). I don't
know if these two updates can cause any problem?
Regarding the problematic services:
For example: Checking the properties for "Windows Server Essentials Management Service" -> It is dependable on
"1. Active Directory Domain Services" and "2. Windows Server Essentials Provider Registry Service".
No 1 is running but not no 2. If I try to start no 2 service it will give me the same message as before:
"Windows could not start the Windows Server Essentials Management Services on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start"

Of course, when the SFC command was completed but with error that it could not repair
tsgclean.exe I tried to start the essentials dashboard and WS2012 server manager with no luck.
What about the error message? I looked up that file in the explorer and it is located in folder "C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-tsproxy-edgeadapter_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.16384_none_2ec8d374a0ac5606"
Why can't it be repaired and what kind of file is that?

Validation problem with the selected Month-Year and Days in the Month.
Hi,
I am unable to figure out the logic for the below senario.
There are two fields Period and Date
If Users sets the Period to FEB-11
and User has to select the Dates of the February Month only and if he selects any other month It should throw an error.
How could I restrict the user to not enter any other date from the selected period.

I have solved the problem, I forgot a parameter in the select, so java tells the an error. But now I have another problem. The procedure doesn't execute the order by. I pass the couple column_name order_type in a string as ("provider_description desc") dinamically but the procedure doesn't execute the ordering. Why?

Problems with animations using key frames and other bugs
To me, the current version of Acrobat 3D Toolkit (7.0.7) seems like a beta version -- unfortunately I payed the full price. Or maybe there are a few settings only set wrong on my system and someone can tell me how to correct this ...

Why is there no properties panel visible all the time, displaying the properties of the selected object and allowing to change properties (e.g. positions, angles etc.)?
Why is it impossible to view different trees at the same time (e.g. scene tree and animation tree)?
Why is it impossible to have different models open simultaneously? (E.g. to compare settings or even to copy properties/objects from one model to the other.)
Why is it impossible to create new folders in the scene tree? Imported folders are available, but for the scene management within Acrobat 3D I may have different requirements than the CAD designer had. (Also, I would like to put new objects in folders of my own.)
Why is tabbing not supported more extensively? E.g. All the different trees (Folders, Scene Tree, ...) could all be put into a single tabbed panel saving valuable space on my screen but still giving easy access to all items.
Why is there no Undo for camera position changes?
Why is there no Undo for material edits (e.g. applying a new material to an object)?
Why is it only possible to animate object movements, not the making visible/invisible of objects and changes of the camera position?
Why is it impossible to save object selections? Within a larger model it always is a lot of clicking to get the view required for certain actions.
Why are there a lot of different Display options available on-screen but when a scene is rendered into a file, Acrobat 3D uses the same display option all the time (i.e. Solid)?
Probably this list could be extended quite heavily. And some of these missing things may be time intensive to realize (and saved for future versions), others are comparably basics now-a-days.I agree with the "beta" feel of the 3D Toolkit. I have been very frustrated getting animation to work well. Specifically, I made an animation that plays in Toolkit, imports and plays into Acrobat 3D, but does not play in Reader. It displays 3D and rotates, etc., but I cannot get the animaiton to play.
The contextural menu issue you see I see also. The menu appears, but without the "add Key Frame" item. I find that if I select an object, move it a bit, move it back, then the menu will appear. (at least sometimes I think) Pretty frustrating. -

Some basics: We are using Robohelp 10 to generate multiscreen html5 output. We used the pharmaceutical screen layout downloaded from: http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/robohelp-screen-profiles-layouts.html but modified it to match our GUI.
We are having a problem with the browse sequence back and browse sequence next buttons placed in the screen layout from the widgets tool bar. We are in no way experts at this part of Robohelp...and the css portion of all this is a bit of mystery but we have managed to get mostly what we need. Now we just need these buttons to work. In the past we used Airhelp and things worked great. Can anyone help us understand why the sequence buttons are not showing up in the output even though it does in the topic preview?

simply try doing a back up and restore
when going thru the activation screen, select SET UP AS NEW and then test your device. if it is not shutting down then it could be 1 or more apps tht have been downloaded wch could be affecting the device
you will then need to follow the process of eleimnation, meaning add 2 apps and then monitor your phone, if nothing happes then add another couple of them and then check

Is anyone having problems with the battery heating up and draining the power? Mine has been doing this for about 2 months now.
This is a major problem with Lollipop, but yo said it started 2 months ago. Several people have fixed problem by removing FaceBook And Face book messenger and then re loading the apps again. You might want to clear your cache before reloading. Not sure this is your problem, but worth a try. Good Luck

I use GroupWise 8.01 and WinXP (SP2), OpenOffice 3.1.
Why at opening files in Library, temporary files are not created in catalogue C:\Documents and Settings\Jon Smith\Local Settings\Temp\XPGrpwise, and created in catalogue C:\Documents and Settings\Jon Smith\My Documents. That causes problems. How to change a situation that worked as it is necessary.

Performance Problems with MS IE 6.0 and EP 7.0 (2004s)

we have a problem with ie 6.0 webbrowser and EP 7.0 (2004s). When we open for example the theme editor in the ep-system-administration site we must wait with MS ie 6.0 webbrowser ~ 18s for the site opening. With firefox 2.0 we can open the theme editor with ~ 1s.
Have/Had anybody the same problem? - Or is this a knowing problem with ie 6.0.
We used for the network analyse the tool: httpwatch 3.2. We can see, that the ie 6.0 must wait into the all-time of 18sec. 13sec for opening the site: emptyhover.html.

we use the version SP12 NW 2004s. We have the this problems with a base application of portal: theme editor.
We can see in the httpWatch 3.2 analysis tool, that the ie 6.0 load a much of cache files from the client webbrowser. Could it be this problem? - I red in this forum problems with the webbrowser-parameter: "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed"

i have a problem with mail. the spelling and grammer check box before sending the messege is no longer there. I did everything but cannot get it back. is ther anyone who knows how to get the box with spelling and grammer checks before sending the mail.
Also the mail is acting very funny by not getting the rules work in a proper method. Is ther a software to repair mail.i did both of them, but still the while sending the mail the diolog box is not showing up and also the spelling and grammer does not do the spelling check.
This problem just started for about 3 to 4 days now. earlier it was working normally. -
Problem with installing Photoshop elements 9 and adobe support advisor
Hi, I've received a graphic tablet with 2 programs: the first has been downloaded and works perfectly while the second, PSE9, has been giving me problems for at least a week!
I downloaded it and now I have a winzip file full of strange things (one of this is set up exe which tells me that I have to install adobe support advisor) and two files which said 3DF.tmp and PSEP9(1).zip.download and if I try to click them they tell me that I have to find on the Net the program to open them because I can't. And I don't know which program is required.
I tried a lot of times to download the adobe support advisor, I have enough space on my disc and my farewall is deactivated, but when the program begins I saw this annoyant message
