  • Problem with trasferring music from itunes to Iphone 3Gs.

    Hi
I have a problem with trasferring music from Itunes to Iphone and that is,
as soon as I finish transferring music to my Iphone, Itunes suddenly stops at the stage of where it says (at the top-centre of the screen), 'Sync Min's Iphone'.
Due to this reason, I've restored my Iphone a couple of times and reinstalled itunes but same problem occurs whenever I try to transfer music.
It appears music are successfully transfered since I could play the music on my Iphone but I wanna fix the problem since it's pretty annoying.
is there anything I can do about it?
    Thanks

Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (8.2.1?). If so, I'd reinstall iTunes, if the phone is otherwise working fine.

  • Problems with playing songs in iTunes

as the subject says. I have som problems with playing songs. not everyone just a some..
If we take for example that a song is 8min. then at 1.40 it just stops and goes to the next one. I can jump over it with pressing in the middle for example. it plays. as normal. UNTIL. 3 mins. then the same problems appear. I don't really understand how. just between 1.40-1.50 iTunes thinks that the song is finished. I know my english isn't so good but cuz there is no swedish support. I have to write here. any answers would be good

    I'm having a similar problem.
Every now and then, a track from a ripped CD or from iTunes or from eMusic will "look" OK in iTunes (or on my iPod), but when the track plays, it gets partially through and it jumps to the next track in the playlist.
For example, if playback of track 1 pauses and jumps to track 2 at 1:30 into playback of track 1, & I click on 1:31 or later in track 1, the rest of track 1 will play fine. But if the playback of track 1 starts at the before the "skip point," the track will stop & iTunes (or iPod) goes on to the next track in the playlist. If I locate the file (on my external drive) and play it in the finder, there's always buzzing sound at the point where the iTunes jumps to the next track.
For ripped CD's this is not a huge deal, I just re-rip & usually all is well. With eMusic, I can download again, but with iTunes, I have to file a complaint & so far they've just credited my account, which is OK, but time consuming.
At first I thought the problem was with my optical drive, but then the problem started happening with downloads from iTunes and eMusic as well. NONE of these shenanigans happened before I upgraded to iTunes 7.6, so I'm wondering if that's where the problem is. One thing's for sure: I'm not going to "jump" at the next upgrade of iTunes!
I'm totally stumped & bummed. iTunes used to be a really good friend, now I find myself wondering if I should bother with putting my entire CD collection on iTunes if it's no longer as reliable as it used to be.

  • Problem with playing music as the alarm

OK ladies and gents - if someone can help me I'll be much greatful!
So we've tried a whole bunch of stuff already and it could be that the **** iPod has a glitch. We shall see...
So we have no problem getting the alarm to work, we can even get it to play music but it'll only play the first track in the song listing or the last track played. This would be ok but if I want to go to sleep listening to one thing and wake up to another it's not all that helpful!
We've set up on-the-go playlists and iTunes playlists and they don't work any differently.
We were using third-party software which we thought might have been messing with it, so we formatted it and ungraded the firmware and still having problems.
We've tried the trick of turning the alarm off and on after reselecting the playlist.
    Who's the man?
    Thanks
    PC   Windows XP

Yes sorry I didn't explain very clearly.
We want to play music as the alarm. But each time we set it it goes off with the first track listed in the complete songlist, rather than the first song in the selected playlist.
As listed above are all the things I've done to try to resolve it, but they haven't worked.
Maybe the iPod is defective, I can't say until I cover all the bases.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Samsung Fascinate, problems with playing music via USB port on car stereo

Before the update, I could play the music files on my Fascinate via the USB port on my Kenwood stereo, and control basic functions such as skip, pause etc.  Now, my stereo does not recognize the device, and cannot read the files.  I went to local Verizon store where a sales rep tried to connect it in here new Kia Soul and it didn't recognize the device either. It will play via the AUX jack, but I lose player control and the phone does not charge via the AUX cable.  She did a hard reset which did not resolve the problem.  We tried one of the other employee's Fascinate in my car, which did not work either.
So, after hoping to be able to stream music via Pandora, Jango etc thru the USB port after the update, now it seems its primary function is for charging.
Also, the ALL SHARE function, which I used to get the music on my phone originally, does not work now.
Anyone else have this issue with music player and USB connection?

txgopher- I have personally never used my Fascinate to listen to music via USB via stereo however, I can see why it would be frustrating for you to no longer be able to do so when it was never an issue prior to the update.
It sounds as though you and the store rep already did some troubleshooting by trying to duplicate the problem with another car, stereo and even doing the final troubleshooting step which is a master reset.
Since you have done all of the necessary troubleshooting steps to no avail, it most definitely appears as though the software update has interfered with that USB connection in some way.
What I have done is forwarded the information you have provided to Samsung in order for them to look into this concern as well as come up with a way to get this resolved.
Please stay tuned because as soon as we hear back from Samsung we will be sure to update this forum with the results/findings.

  • Problems with transferring music from itunes to ipod

Hello, I've never had problems with iTunes but this issue amazes me! I emptied my whole iTunes Library the other day, and added a whole load of new songs. Then, when I was finished with my selection I connected my iPod Nano to USB portal at my pc. iTunes recognised the iPod and also said: bijwerken.. niet loskoppelen (moving files, don't disconnect). This takes 2 seconds and then it says the iPod is ready with transferring files.
Then I notice that no files where moved at all. My iPod is empty for two days now and It's killing me !! hehe, please help ?!
    Tom

I'm not sure if this is what you are after but Forum member Buegie has compiled a very extensive procedure for backing up your music which you'll find at this link: Backing up iTunes
You'll also find instructions here on uninstalling iTunes: Stepwise clean uninstallation of iTunes</a
I hope these are of some help, take care.

  • I have problems with importing music to iTunes, can somebody please help me?

I have all my music organized on an external hard disc in folders for each artist and album, but I can only import some of the folders. It’s like iTunes isn’t registering specific folders, and just skip these folders while the rest of the folders is added as normal. I have tried to add the missing folders manually but it doesn’t help.  I simply can’t add some music to iTunes, what am I doing wrong? Thanks!

It's the file attributes. The files will add but when you try to add a folder it doesn't work. You can get a bulk attribute changer progeam like BulkFileChanger and get rid of the Hidden and archive attributes, This fixed my problem.

  • Problems with playing music

My Ipod touch 4th gen has always worked on my Ipod dock but it has recently stopped recognising it.  It won't play music or even charge.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
    or
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Issue with playing music in itunes

I recently just got iTunes on my new HP Vista laptop. When I used an external harddrive to move my music from my other computer to the laptop all was fine. When i put the songs and albums up in itunes and tried to play it, it would not play. The buttons were in position for it to play, it was just physically not moving or playing at all. To test to see if my song files were ok i tried to play the file in windows media player, they appeared to be playing but no sound was being made(mute wasn't on and my sound for the computer is fine, drivers and all). I have no clue if I accidently deleted something vital for the playing of sound files or something, i do know i did delete alot of the extra unnecessary stuff HP had preinstalled on the notebook and could've possibly deleted something used for the sound of song files. I'm usually a dell person so i'm not completely familiar with HPs and their functioning, but i have a HP Pavilion dv6500 special edition. I'm aware this model had issues with sound and audio but i mean my sound is working fine its just that when i try and use a program like itunes to play the song it physically doesn't play it, it just idles(the song's progess bar does't move and is at 0:00 when its set to play and no sound is made. If anyone knows what might be the problem, i'm all ears

  • Problem with streaming music from iTunes to iPhone

Hello all, I have a problem for which I have not been able to find a solution despite multiple Google searches. I can't seem to access ALL my music from the Macbook Pro (13", 2011, latest OSX) on my iPhone 5. I've turned on home sharing on iTunes. From the music app, I can access my library from my iPhone. The problem is, several songs are missing from the library! I just can't seem to make all of my iTunes music available for streaming (I have 30+ gigs worth of music on my Mac).
Strangely enough, all of my music is accessible from my AppleTV. In fact, using the Remote app on my iPhone, I can my iTunes library in its entirety. The problem is, the Remote app only lets you stream to the AppleTV or play the music on the computer speakers. Sometimes, I just want to stream the music to the iPhone so I can llisten to it through headphones.
Is there a solution to this problem? Is there a limit on how much music the iPhone can access over WiFi? That doesn't seem to be a problem for AppleTV.

My music has been accumulated over many years and is from multiple sources. Most of the missing songs were not purchased from iTunes and I've only ever had one AppleID. The thing is though....most of the available songs were also not purchased from iTunes.

  • Problems with syncing music on iTunes

I connected my iPhone to computer and the space left bar on the summary tab on the interface for it in iTunes is just showing all of the data is 'other'. No music or videos are showing up on my iPhone either although before i connected it they did, on iTunes no music or video is showing up when i click on the options in the drop down menus. No other data appears to have been lost as i still have all my apps that I have downloaded on there. Was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on hwta caused this or any solutions to this problem? Any help would be appreciated

I'm having exactly the same problem- have tried uninstalling my apps, and manually synching things, but can't work out what 'other'things I have that are filling up my memory!

I accidentally turned off iTunes Match on my iPhone 5s (iOS 8 beta) and turned it back on. All music I've deleted a long time ago appeared on my device and I can't delete it again. iTunes on my MacBook Air didn't upload these songs. How can I delete them?

  • Problems with adding music to itunes

I have about 70gigs of music in a folder (all the albums inside the folder are organized in seperate folders) on my PC and when I go to File -> Add Folder to Library on Itunes, it transfers for about 10 seconds then stops...
Why won't it add the entire folder into my library? I have "copy files to itunes music folder" unchecked.
    Thank you in advance.

    bleh is right....
As far as I know, you must use iTunes to get songs in the iTunes library.
But there are a lot of 3rd-party applications you can check out that will get music from your PC to the iPod.
I don't have any specific recommendations, I have just seen these mentioned a lot...google on them.
Also Best Buy, Circuit City & the like have 3rd party applications on their shelves.
    iPod Access
    YamiPod
    PodUtil
    iPodCopy
    PodPlayer
    PodPlus
