Problems with Project Chooser

I want to record a podcast on Garageband, but when I click on New Project, no project icons in the Project Chooser. This feature has worked before, and I don't know what to do now.

I have never had a problem with projecting an itunes movie before this. Someone told me that i-tunes changed something so that movies can no longer be projected. We have a home theatre and have watched movies this way quite regularly, so it would be a drag if Apple will prevent us from doing this in the future.

I don’t know about projection, but I’m unable to watch HD content in iTunes because my Apple 30-inch Cinema Display is not HDCP-compliant (which is part of an HD copy-protection scheme).
The other movies you’ve projected, were they HD as well? If not, it could be the same problem: your projector is not HDCP-compliant.

Problem with JFile Chooser in applet. help please!!!

i am making a button for an applet that starts a JFileChooser. it works ok when i start it with the applet viewer in eclipse, but when i put my applet in HTML code and start it in a web browser the JFileChooser Doesn't start. i can click the button but it is like it does nothing. i have read on the forums that it is becouse the browser security doesnt let it execute. so how can i make it work?

i am making this applet for a school project. the code i have sent is the only thing that is making a problem in the applet. signing an applet seems like a very long process and i read from pkwooster's link that it involves buying a certificate or forging one, placing it on the client computer, and using a dozen of tools. is there a simple way to avoid this signing or a different method to choose a file from a local computer.

Problems with project when switched from Labview 8.2.1 to Labview 10

Hi everyone,
I recently switched from Labview 8.2.1 to Labview 10.
Before I can run the project I get the error which you can see in the attachment.
(The project is running well in Labview 8.2.1)
I did already check if variables end with a space, but none of them are.
The variables are also without any slashes, so that couldn't be the problem either.
Does anybody has any idea what the problem can be, please let me know.

Your other post in the other thread indicates you've looked at that thread. Based on that have you checked your variable names to see if any of them are multi-line? The error message is basically telling you that you have illegal characters. A carriage return (\r) or a new line (\n) is an illegal character.

Problem with project ordering in AppleTV

I've got 484 projects I want to sync to AppleTV. The problem I'm having is that I can't figure out how to order my projects by date - the only available options are name, kind & manual.
Can anyone help?

Are you sure that ordering within Aperture will make them ordered outside Aperture (I.e., will they be ordered that way on your AppleTV)? There was a thread recently concerning someone dissatisfaction with how things ended up being ordered outside of Aperture.
Yes - what happens in AppleTV is that everything becomes an album, and the sorting order is exactly the same as Aperture's left-hand sidebar under "Projects & Albums" so, for example, if you have a bunch of "Smart Albums" first, they are listed first.
In my case, after the Smart Albums, I have my projects stored in folders named after the relevant year, so 2001, 2002, etc. Although these folders are listed in chronological order, inside each folder, I haven't gotten around to sorting the projects in date order (because this currently has to be done manually).
So, in AppleTV, what I get is a long list of albums - first the ones in folder 2001, then the ones in 2002, and so on. But the order of those albums is exactly the same as in Aperture, so a project with photos taken in June may appear before another project with photos taken in February... unless I drag the projects into the correct order in Aperture and then resync.
I suppose I now have some manual sorting to do, but thanks for your help!

Did anyone notice the problem with theme chooser??

Hello all!
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a problem -- I have purchased a bunch of extra themes and now when you click on the theme chooser, it brings up a great little window with ALL of your available themes. However, there are no scroll arrows if you have too many themes!! As such, there are "missing" themes in the chooser, but if you scroll the mouse to the top of the screen, it will change it (although you can't see the one you pick!!). So, they ARE there, but the window for picking them is screwed up.
Any help with this? Apple??

Yeah, and I've been told Apple knows about it.I think the cutoff point is about 60 themes total, then it breaks.
You can still use the actual theme chooser (what you're talking about is the themes menu, not the chooser) to change a theme by using the Choose Theme function from the Edit menu (not the New or New from theme)

Problem with projects with transitions

Hi everyone,
I have a (iMac 27-inch mid 2011) with 10.7.5. When I am working with a project in iMovie and in this project I insert transitions (effects into photos), I have a problem when I make export (share) of the project: at 4 minutes the iMovie makes freeze and it doesn't response. If I delete the transitions then the process works fine. The hard drive is empty (more that 800Gb empty)
I updated all the apps, I deleted (with AppCleaner) the iMovie and reinstalled it (with Mac App Store) but nothing.
There is some option like iPhoto to rebuild database with CMD + ALT or something?

The problem is that in the event I have only pictures, no videos. When I insert transition effects between images or insert music not export the video. If I remove all the transitions and music then there is no problem when exporting.
I tried to transfer the project with DropBox to other iMac and it works perfectly and I export the video without problems.
So the problem is in my iMac. Some plist that not erase AppCleaner?

This problem occurred before the recent update, but persists after updating as well.
I had a project about 20 minutes long. Some time after I last exported it, it broke. At one point toward the end, when I play in the preview window, a four-second segment goes to black screen with "Source clip is missing." That alone is interesting, because I don't recall doing anything to move or delete the source.
But when this happens, the project window goes haywire. There is no longer a playhead, you can't see any of the clips after that point, the cursor stops working entirely, and iMovie all but freezes. The movie can continue to play, and you can stop and start play using the space bar, but everything else is hosed. The only way out is to quit iMovie and restart.
This behavior is persistent and completely reproducible.
Sadly, this happened before I backed up the movie. Not all is lost, though, for I have a version that is complete and functional up to the last segment, which is the one that broke.
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what's going on, or perhaps how to fix it.

If it's on a windows network you have to enter your (windows) log in (name/password) credentials.
This should be a 1 time event. It will remember it thereafter.

Problem with spry:choose

I have a table filled with data from an xml file and filtered
through a drop down menu. Everything works well but there are some
choices in the drop down menu that return a zero result. When that
happens I wanted to display a message instead of the table. It
works if there is a zero result which is great and the query works
perfectly for both after the first selection is made but....
Problem is the first time the page is loaded and the user
makes a selection, which does have data, both the
spry:state="loading" message and the "return a zero result message"
show during the load but disappears after the data has loaded. I
assume this is because {ds_RowCount} does initially equal zero
until the data is loaded!
Am I going about this completely the wrong way or is there a
more suitable option than {ds_RowCount} within the choose/when
statement?

thing first before we can give you suggestions:
1. Your Region div is not closed with a </div>
2. Your ready div should enclose the content you want

Logic Pro9,serious problem with projects: bug?

I started working with Studio Logic suite one month ago.
I'm very happy of it, but I have a (serious) problem.
Sometimes (totally random) I open a project and appear a message "Some Audio files changed lenght", and I find many recorded tracjs disappeared or changed.
In three cases I had to cancel the project and start from the beginning.
The last time fortunately I put a backup on another hard-disk, so I cancelled the projects and copied it from the backup.
How can I solve it?
I use Logic Pro 9 on Macbook with Snow Leopard

PS:after the message appear, even if I close without saving and re-open the files the problems it's still the same.
Even in backups made from Logic.
My backup was the old folder copied on another hd

Ok, found a solution so that you can work just on your old user account.
In the new user account go to
user (your username for the new account)/library/preferences
Copy the files
com.apple.logic.pro.cd
com.apple.logic.pro.LSSharedFileList.plsit
com.apple.logic.pro.plist
then go to to your home (c) drive, or Macintosch HD or whatever you have called it, then go to
Users
and the paste the three items into the folder called
Shared
Then log out of the new account and into the old one, go to your main boot (c) drive again, to Users again, and to the Shared folder you have just pasted the items into, copy the three, then go to
user (your username for the OLD account)/library/preferences
... and paste the three files (you will be asked if you want to replace them, just answer yet), and hey presto it should all work fine.

Problem with project stock valuation class

Dear All,
We have an issue regarding the Revenue Inventory and Capital Inventory. There is a certain balance amount which should be in capital but system is showing in Revenue and vice versa.
The reason for this is that when the material was created, in some materials the main valuation class was 3032(Project) and in some it was maintained as 3030(revenue). But project stock valuation class was not maintained.
Now the problem persists in the G/L balances, the G/L of project stock (132006)displays some amount of revenue(132000) and vice versa.
We tried to maintain the project stock valuation class (3032) for materials for which the main valuation class is 3030 (Revenue),but still the G/L for revenue (132000) is getting hit.
At the end, the requirement is that G/L for revenue (132000) should hit when revenue procurement is there and G/L for capital (132006) should hit when capital procurement is there.
Kindly suggest the way forward.

Thanks Venkat, we have thought of the same as a last stop but there are hundreds of materials which has this problem and there would be many open documents for them.
If anything could be suggested other then this, and I wanted clarification on one more point that the materials for which main valuation class was 3030 and later we added 3032 in project stk Val class but after maintaining it. When we procure(Capital procurement), it is still showing the balance in G/L 132000(Revenue).

Problem with project after upgrading to 10.1 and moving libraties to external drive

I need to make some updates to a project I created over a year ago prior to upgrading to 10.1. Also since creating, I moved my Final Cut Libraries off to an external drive. The only about 25% of the clips in the project appear to be linked to the original media even though all appear to be in the Original Media folder. I have tried as a test to put the original video files into a folder outside of any FCP files and used that to use the "Relink Media" function under "Edit" The attached link to a pdf doc shows the error message I get. I have no idea how to proceed from here to recover this important project.

I copied the Original Media folder to a new location and then relinked to the new folder. The process ran without error. However that did not fix the problem. The clip content isn't there for 80% of the clips. The system was rendering in the background for hours. I went to bed. When I got up and checked using the view background tasks it stalled at some point. I tried exporting the XML and importing into a new library. I got a waring message about an unrecognized cross dissolve transition. When I opened the project in the new library the time line looked exactly the same and it behaved exactly as the original project. Thoughts?

Problem with Project 2007 gantt chart in Acrobat X

Good morning,
We are experiencing an issue with certain, rather large gantt charts in Project 2007 when converting them to PDF using Acrobat X. The issue is that the last portion of the chart is broken when converted to PDF. The chart will print properly when sent to a real printer, and it also renders correctly in the print preview. Here is an example of the issue:
As you can see, it has broken the last section of the chart and "stretched" the bars across the page. I couldn't find anything in the knowledge base that related to this issue, so any assistance would be apreciated.

Unfortunately it seems that this is still occuring, I guess nobody has ever come across this issue?

Problem with project naming

Have anybody managed to change the default project naming parameter? When I import my photos into a new project, the Aperture always name the new project like '16 Dec,2010', and I would rename it as '20101216' every time when I have finished importing. I don't want rename them any more.
So, how can I change the project naming format to something like '20101216' by default?
I've tried to change the Folder naming preset in Aperture menu, now my project naming format is 'ImageYear ImageMonth ImageDay', and the example shown above is '20080101', but when importing photos into new project, the new project still names as '16 Dec,2010' and the preset seems doesn't work at all.
Anybody knows how to deal with it?
(Now I've checked 'automatically split projects' in the import setting and set 'split projects by date' in preference.)

When you import you can name the project you want to import into. Look at the right hand side of the import browser in the section labeled *Aperture Library*. You're destination can either be an existing project or a new project. If you select new project you can enter the name of the project.
Unfortunately I don;t believe that there is a way to change Aperture default project naming convention.

I have a problem with Project Administrator Menu

I'm trying to cut some projects with Premiere CS4 for free disk space and, though I try, the new projects have the same size as the originals. I use the Create new project cut option and I use only the final assembly sequence with the video exclusively used for export. It means I should cut the original footage and leave them only the part that is used in assembly, something like Avid makes with the option Consolidate deleting original media files, but nothing, my Premiere CS4 leaves the complete original footage, although the final sequence uses only a quarter of them.
Any solution?

Your English is just fine.
If your source footage is GOP-based, like MPEG2, MPEG4, H.264, DivX, etc., then Pr will not trim the original clips. Does this apply to you?
