Problems with query settings

My model never saves changes of the query settings 'Maximum rows' and 'Suppress sum'. Every time I reopen my model the settings have the initial values '500' and ' '. For me it seems to be a bug.

Thanks for reporting this issue. It has been fixed and you will be able to see this fix in the next service pack.
Since, this issue is related to obsolete parameters, I believe, not having the fix immediately should not affect the operatability of your Visual Composer installation. In the meantime, you may employ a workaround as described below:
To change the values of maxrows and suppress sum fields:
1. double click on the query infoactor on the story board
2. on the side pane, you should see the properties of the query, the properties including maxrows and supress sum.
3. Make any change in the "Name" property. The save button should turn active.
4. Now make necessary changes in the values of maxrows and suppress sum.
5. Save.

I'm using Oracle 9i;
I've created a view which has columns based on a table columns (multiple columns from 1 table) and funtion (multiple columns based on 1 function).
The function takes ID as the first argument and name of the column to determine which value to return as the second one.
Here is a sample of such function (simplified):

There is no problem with query:
SELECT * FROM my_view;
The problem arises when I query the view (regardles of '=' or 'LIKE'):
SELECT * FROM my_view
WHERE name LIKE '%some_part_of_name%'
The query returns rows for same names, for same it doesn't. If I put '=' and the whole name the query returns nothing, but when I put 'LIKE' and the first letter it returns rows in some cases.
I've tried to debug this situation and I've discovered that the function recives ID not in the proper order and not the same amount of times - in explicit:
for each ID in (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ... , 100) the function should be called twice for each ID and in the same order, but it does not.
I get 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 6, 20, 20 and so on.
Help needed.

The problem is more complicated than the solutions provided here.
The reason why I'm using the function is this:
the original view was constructed using multiple union all selects and the speed was terrible. I've created the index on the base table to obtain a proper sort. For retriving all records at once the view works perfectly, but if one wants to query by columns based on function the results are suprisng - sometimes there are, some times there are none, or if you serch with "like" and only a part of string there are results, but with "=" there are no results.

Problem with Mail settings - PDF document is not sending

Hi Experts,
During sales order confirmation, a PDF attachment used to be sent.
But now the customer is receiving the file with extension as .OTF instead of .PDF.
Where could be the problem with this? Is this something wrong in SOCT setttings?
But for some other scenarios, the same is working so i don't think that there is a problem with SCOT settings.
Please let me know if anybody has an idea about this problem or susgestion to find the problem

I guess there is no need to change any settings.
You just need to change format from OTF to PDF using some FM.

I'm tryng to develop my first application for EP (v7 SP12) with NWDS (without NWDI).
This application has to read and write data in the EP DB (oracle v10).
I'm using:
a Dictionary Project (define the DB Tables)
a Java Project (define class as DAO, DBManager etc)
a Library Project
an EJB Project
an EAR Project
With these projects I can deploy a webService in my EP server.
BUT I have some problem with a query that I'm tryng to sent to my DB through a DAO Class called by my WebService.
The query is simple and correct but it does not work...

My problem is that I need to extract the minimum of the subtraction between two dates:

So I tried to use the ':' as indicated in the manual..

Hello, i have a big problem and i searched the whole day yesterday but didnt found an answer...
I started a Flex Mobile and PHP Project. The Project has a Data/Services included wich loads some customer from a database (sql)... for the first a
used Zend and try it local (http://localhost and used the htdocs Folder of Zend)... EVERYTHING WORKS PRETTY FINE... so NOW my problem
I wanted to export this project to a release build for my android phone... so the first warning of Flash Builder ist that the project ist currently configured to access data services from a local url. Before exporting the application, you may need to deploy your services to a remote server, then change the server root URL for your project. Click here to change server settings.
When i click the button i get the server setting.
Web root: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zend\Apache2\htdocs
Root URL: http://localhost
whe i change it now i get an eror:"The selected web root folder does not exist (i attached i screenshot of it).
i entered de domain of my server (i also tried the ip) at Root URL. And i think there ist a problem with the Web root...? i get scary

i know WHY Flashbuilder tells me that i have to change the setting when i deploy on the device
my problem ist that i got this error...
and the domain wich i have in the screenshot should only explain how i tried it...
i entered my server url (the real domain) and i entered the folder "app" wich i have created via ftp on my server...

Hi. I'm having a problems with this component in runtime. I'm using JDev 11.1.1.1 with ADFBC.
The query uses three optional parameters. When i put a value for the first and leave other blank and execute query, following error is produced:

Problems with Query for Sales

i have problems with a query, i need that have the follows fields.

But i need to know if this invoices have a PR, RF, RC,etc.
I saw that ORIN(RIN1) is for -> RC, OINV(INV9) -> RF, ORCT -> PR but i dont know how make a correctly INNER JOIN. When the invoice have a PR giveme Num of PR, if the invoice have a RC giveme the number of document destination.
So, how can i join these tables for get that information.

This is a basic inner join created from the SAP Query Generator
Template would be
Select <field names> FROM <base table name>
Inner join <table you want to join> on <<condition you want to two tables to joins>>
or
Simply you can write it
SELECT * FROM ORDR T0, RDR1 T1 WHERE T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
it will do the same thing and you can simply join more tables.

if u can add bukrs as input field or if u have bukrs as part of any other internal table to filter out the data u can use:
for ex:
SELECT bukrs
belnr
gjahr
FROM bkpf
INTO TABLE ist_bkpf_temp
WHERE budat IN s_budat
    and    bukrs in s_bukrs.
or
SELECT bukrs
belnr
gjahr
FROM bkpf
INTO TABLE ist_bkpf_temp
for all entries in itab
WHERE budat IN s_budat
    and bukrs = itab-bukrs.
Just see , if it is possible to do any one of the above?? It has to be verified with ur requirement.

Performance Problem with Query load

after the upgrade to SPS 23, we have some problems with loading a Query. Before the Upgrade, the Query runs 1-3 minutes, and now more then 40 minutes.
Does anyone have an idea?

Hi,
Suggest executing the Query in RSRT transaction by choosing the option ' Execute+Debugger' to further analyze where exactly the query is taking time.
Make sure choosing the appropriate 'Query Display' (List/BEx Analyzer/ HTML) option before Executing the query in the Debugger mode since the display option also effect the query run time.

Problem with memory settings

Hello,
i got a brand new PC4000 PRO from corsair and i got problem setting timings with this motherboard (neo2 PFISR - bios v3.9).
I can't set CAS timing nor to 3 neither to 2, it automatically turns it back to 2.5.
It seems that there is a lot of users having the same issues with this motherboard all over the net, but they told me to post here.
Has anybody an idea why this happen and how i can fix it ?

Hi there,
For some reason the BIOS settings have a rather confusion relation.
This is what my experiences have been, please try them and report your findings:
- MAT is enabled (and overrules SPD or manual memory timings) if:
Memory clock is set to "auto" within the frequency menu AND you set your perfomance above FAST.
To get a stable system, I'd advice the following:
- Go back to default BIOS settings.
- Disable D.O.T.
- Disable Spread Spectrum
- Fix your memory frequency to what it should be (e.g. 400Mhz), and not AUTO.
- Choose SPD timings for your memory (or set them below SPD timing manually).
- Start with performance settings to SLOW.
Check memory timing settings (chipset) with AIDA or CPU-z.
Check stability with Prime95 & torture test on maximum RAM.
Once the system is table, try upping the speed setting, check the actual timings and see what happens. If you still have problems, take out one memory stick and try with just one (maybe one is faulty).
Once you got it stable, continue from here.
Keep in mind: in my experience, if you set your memory frequency at a fixed frequency and use SPD settings, you will find that upping the performance settings, changes the memory timings! However as long as the frequency is not AUTO, MAT is not enabled, whatever the performance setting.
It really confused me at first, as I could not get the system running with MAT enabled, whatever memory time I entered. But with fix memory frequency, I got the system stable with 2,2,2,5 timing!

Problem with Global settings panels

Using Flash player v10,1,53,64. with IE7 and Safari 5. I am trying to turn off the auto update notification as I work in an infant school and the pop-up notifications confuse the children.
Flash objects are working fine and the http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ page tells me that I have the version of Flash installed with no problem.
I then right click on an active Flash object on a web page and choose "Global settings..."
Then choose Global Notification Settings Panel... , which takes me to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager05.htm l
At this point, instead of the panel I get the "This content requires Flash" replacement item - so I can't go any further. The same sthing happens with any of the Settings panels.
So one page on the Adobe site says I have the player installed, others don't.
Help much appreciated.

I've been assured by our network team that there is no block, but I'm wondering if that is right. I suppose they could have a block on flash content from not specifically authorised sites (which might well include Adobe) that would still let the Adobe site interrogate to find out the Flash version - but as I'm not 100% certain how the protocols work I can't be sure, I'll have to recheck that one.

I just installed Forms Developer 902 on Windows NT.
In registry my NLS_LANG=POLISH_POLAND.EE8WIN1250.
The Form i Menu module support my national settings
and don't have any problem with polish font.
My destination platform for OAS 902 is SUSE80 Linux.
I maked ftp binary copy *.fmb and *.mmb files from NT
to destination platform and compile everything.
But Form and Menu module not support my national settings.
Where is problem? Maybe any idea?

I recently purchased my first IPod (30GB) and I'm having a problem with a couple of settings. The blacklight is set to switch on after 10 seconds and at the same time my Ipod starts playing music (even when the lock is on). Did I forget to change a setting? I can't seem to figure it out. That sounds like the alarm is set if it comes on after a set time. You can find the menu options for this in -- extras--clock--alarm clock. This is where you select the play list to play on wake up.

Problem with SlideShow Settings

I've just upgraded to iPhoto'09 and it's working great, but I have a problem with the SlideShow settings:
When I choose a face, event or a place and press the "Play" button to start the slide show, I choose the settings I want (like unchecking repeat slide show and checking shuffle slide order), and check "use settings as default), when I close iPhoto or change the face, place or event, settings come back to their original status, not the ones I chose and made as default.
Any Ideas?

That's because you've set the default for that Slideshow, not all slideshows.
