Problems with removing transitions

I am using iMovie v5. When I remove transitions, my clips are not restored to the original version. For example, if I have two clips with a transition between them, and then I remove the transition the following happens:
1. Clip 1 will have a second or two of merged from Clip 2
2. Clip 2 will be truncated in the beginning by a second or two.
I have looked in the manual and other discussion threads and can't find an answer. Oh... I'm using the fade out transition.

That can happen with non-destructive veideo.
Don't know for certain that this will fix it, but it sure won't hurt anything...
Quit iMovie.
Locate a file named com.apple.iMovie.plist and get rid of it. iMovie will create a new one the next time it runs. Empty the trash and restart imovie.

I'm a bit confused. You are now talking about 2 issues.
For the first one, you cannot edit anymore tasks in PWA, with any browser versions? Is it happenonog for any users on any projects? Try the following solutions publish the project from Project Pro and see if it helps. Press CTRL F5 to delete IE cache. Ensure
that your PWA URL is added to the trusted site and/or compatibility sites. Check for the ULS logs or javascript errors.
For the second issue, please refer to my previous reply, this obviously cannot be considered as a bug since it is happening with a non supported browser version and working properly on supported versions of IE.

Help me please, problem with image transition

Hi everybody,
For the past few months I have started teaching myself how to use dreamweaver. So far I have had a couple problems my limited knowledge just cant figure out and hoped somebody out there could shed a little light on it.
I am currently making a small portfolio site for my girlfriend but am having a few problems with trying to get the gallery the way she wants it. She want a black and white image to transition into colour on mouse over with small textbox to appear on mouseover also. I could not create a simple rollover image as she wanted the fade in and fade out to be slightly slower.
The rather simple idea I had for this was to create a div with a background image which would be the colour version. A black and white version imported over the top which transitions out to 0 opacity on mouseover.
The problem I have is when the mouse is removed and the mouseout behavior begins to bring the black and white version back. If the mouse is moved over image too quickly there seems to be a conflict between the 2 transitions and it begins to jump a little. You can have a look for yourself:

I thought maybe if there was some code I could write in that would only make the mouseout behavior begin after all other functions were complete it would solve this but unfortunately I have no idea how to even go about this.

Hi Adam,
In my opinion using image swap behaviors is counterproductive. It makes for slower loading pages and consumes bandwidth. This can be a problem for mobile device users who often pay for bandwidth usage.
I'm going to show a neat CSS trick for de-saturating color images. When you hover over the images, they turn to color and their opacity increases to 100%. Click on images to bring up the full size photos with captions.

Problem with removing spaces

Hi,
I have a problem with spaces. There are constantly two spaces open named Safari. I cannot remove them. See enclosed image. Any ideas how to do it?

Further research shows that the spaces are indeed there when I view the page source; however, the spaces are not being rendered.
I removed the css style sheet that was being applied to the shuttle and it made no difference.

Having Problems with removing an addEventListener

Im currently having a problem with my flash assignment,
I have a:   this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, onPanSpace);
who is causing errors when I go to the next frame:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
          at Confabulation_fla::mc2_3/onPanSpace()[Confabulation_fla.mc2_3::frame1:13]
I would like to remove this addEventListener when I go to the next frame(which is by clicking on a door) but to be honest, I have no clue how.
So I ask you "How do I remove this addEventListener on my next frame?"

HELP ME! problems with removing photos

Hi, I'm having problems with deleting photos from my ipod. I've synced photos from a folder I created, and was successful in getting the photos uploaded. Later, I deleted the folder and a folder I didn't create called "Itunes Cache". I've tried syncing new photos from the original "My Photos" and only the old pictures remain. I'm tired of them and the space they take up! Is there a way to delete them without restoring my iPod? Thanks!

Problem with removing Magic Mouse battery cover (Its Stuck)

Well i just got a new Magic mouse for 1st time, cause i needed a mouse that doesn't have a usb lead which gets caught on edges or wrapped around other cables all the time for my Macbook Pro.
The problem with this mouse is tho, rest of it is great, but the battery cover latch, won't release the actual cover off, as i was checking what kind of batteries it had. Which from what i've seen on the forums here is completely opposite to the problem that everyone else has here of it NOT staying on, or being to loose.
Mine however is seemingly too TIGHT, or stuck on itself, and therefore won't come free.
Being that its a brand new mouse (Got it only just today in post 15 Jan 2013), i may not be pulling the latch right or it is actually stuck.
So i was womdering if anyone else had this problem, and has a solution? Cause even tho i won't be worried about the battery failing straight away. I will need to replace it at some point with new ones.

First turn the mouse off, using the tiny slide button below the green light.
Then sharply flick the small rectangular black button at the bottom of the plate downwards with your finger nail. The plate should loosen and pop off.
To replace. Line up the black button in its rectangular hole and press the plate at point of the circular hole where the sensor shows.
Turn on the mouse, check the green light is steady, then click the mouse twice to activate it.

Problem with sound, and problem with video transitions

For some reason my audio isnt locked with my video anymore so when I move a clip the audio doesnt follow does anyone know how to fix that?
Also, when I put in video transitions instead of just switching from the first clip to the second clip it flashes an image from other pieces of footage while transitioning and I need to figure out how to fix that too.
Anyone know how to fix these?

Thanks i got the audio problem fixed.
When I open up final cut it says some of the media has been disconnected but it then says I can't reconnect it or something like that, I don't know if that effects the transitions. I split up a lot of footage and rearranged it and for one of the places where it flashes a clip it shows one of the pieces of footage that I had deleted because it had a glitch and the other places I noticed it it had random clips from throughout the project, like a flash of an interview that happens way later in the film. So it is random clips that are in the film and even clips that I deleted.

ParserDataList is declared as a LinkedList. Occasionally I receive the error on NoSuchElement on the remove. I put a try/catch around the remove and print out the value of ParserDataList.isEmpty which is always false. I am very confused on why if the linked list isn't empty I can't remove a data item. There are no other threads that remove data. Thank you in advance for any assistance on this problem.

I am changing it from linked list to blocking queue however I do have a question about what I should use to poll the data? Instead of a remove should I use take which seemed to remove the first element and if there wasn't one wait until there was. I was trying to not have the threads blocked because I do need to stop them when a disconnect is sent from the main thread.

Problem with "Remove find my iphone"

Somone stole my iphone 4s and I used the remote procedure "find my iphone" but the device appeared offline. In any case, if it were connected to the internet I would come back a signal. The problem is that then I accidentally clicked "remove find my iphone" and therefore there aren't any more device, so I think that the thieves could use the device with no problem. There is no way to undo this?

No, you cannot undo it.

Problem with removing Search and Advanced Search functionalities in Portal

Hi,
      As per our client requirement, we have removed search and advanced search functionalities in Masthead and those are working fine. But when ever we restarted the portal server, these search options are reappearing in portal.
          I am not getting why it is happening and every time we restarted the server, we are removing these search functionalities from masthead.
          If anyone knows why it is happening, kindly share with us

At present, we disabeled the search and it's working fine. But when we restart the portal, search is again reappearing and we need to disable that once again.
           Is there any sollution for this problem?? Kindly let me know..

The problem is that when I remove some employees from employeeList, on merge, the incoming entity, as well as the return result of the 'merge', are OK (the list doesn't contain the removed entities), but nothing is updated in the database, and no error is shown.

Strange problem with removing element from node

Hi,
I have a problem when I removed elements from a node.
here is the code:

The node A does have a row with field "ID" equals to 123456.
When running the application, it does write that "123456" was not removed...but it removes it....In fact my table is now empty.
How is it possible if it didn't perform the remove operation for ID = 123456 ?

Because you are iterating node in wrong direction: see my reply to your post Re: Loop problem (seems that you assigns me 2 points without reading reply, and mark it as solved just because you stop solving it
So, in example in this thread, you must iterate node B in reverse direction, get element from B and remove it from B if it has some specific ID.

XMP Sidecar problems with remove and copy

Perhaps it should be documented that File.remove() does not delete the corresponding .xmp file. I think it can be argued that removing the xmp is more correct than leaving the sidecar there.<br /><br />This leads to problems when subsequently renaming some other file (with .xmp) to the name of the deleted file. The rename gets an error, claiming the file exists but not mentioning that it is the invisible .xmp that actually exists.<br /><br />Then, oddly, ESCing from the error dialog actually does rename the file, but renames the corresponding .xmp as <name>(1).xmp -- attaching the wrong sidecar to the renamed image.

This is pretty much as designed. The File class knows nothing about sidecars. Try using the Thumbnail class instead. A Thumbnail object in Bridge scripting should have all the built-in sidecar file smarts that Bridge uses when you manipulate thumbnails in the Bridge user interface.
