Problems with s/a bridge

Hi,
We have developed a BPM scenario with the next structure: First we make a SOAP call to start the process and it waits for a response (S/A bridge); the next step itu2019s a synchronous call with the parameters that was received in the SOAP request to a RFC, with the table received, we make a JDBC Insert to an Oracle, and finally we close the bridge sending the number that returns the JDBC.
Our problem itu2019s the next: when we send an empty soap request, the system returns a Pipeline timeout, and the followings correct calls starts to return the same error. We have observed that deleting in the qRFC monitor(smq2) all the queues the scenario starts to work with normality.
Anybody knows how to resolve this issue??
Regards,
Alberto Pla.

For empty soap request, instead of returning the error, if you could just stop the processing of the message (say using Terminate step in receiver determination or by choosing some default receiver), then there won't be any error raised and your other scenarios will keep flowing.

  • Problem with thumbnails in Bridge CS4

I was having a problem with Adobe Bridge crashing on me when I was looking at a large amount of images - like all my 2011 images. I'd read online that I needed to purge my cache and delete my preferences by holding down the ctrl key when starting Bridge and choosing all three options to "reset preferences", "purge entire thumbnail cache" and "reset standard workspace".
I did this, but it really did not solve my problem. I'm still working on that. It did create a problem that all my raw files show up without thumbnails, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to regenerate these thumbnails. I've tried downloading the camera raw plugin and installing that again and it does not help.
My raw files are from a Pentax K100d and are pef files.
I went back to some old photos, in my 2010 folder.  When it first came up it showed the thumbnail for just a brief moment.  It then went blank and then up popped that stupid little flower icon that I seen when there is no thumbnail.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you so much for your response.
I am running 64 bit Vista. I have CS4 and found that the latest version of Camera Raw that I could install was version 5.7.  I found the install instructions on the Adobe site.  As it told me to do, I downloaded the zip file for version 5.7 and extracted.  I moved the Camera Raw.8bi file from the top directory into C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS4\File Formats and moved the Camera Raw.8bi file from the Win64 folder into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS4\File Formats.
Does this look right to you?
I can double-click on any of my raw "pef" files and I can edit them in Camera Raw, no problem.  I can also look at the "about Camera Raw" and see that it shows version 5.7.
    It just won't generate thumbnails.
This worked in the past.  What happened to mess things up is a long story.  I got a new camera, a Nikon D5100.  What I did not realize was that this camera was too new for CS4 to be able to recognize.  The updates that include this camera are only for CS5.  At some point after I got this camera and came home with a ton of vacation pictures - saved as Raw + Jpg (so I had a ton of photos) bridge started crashing.  I don't know if it was the size and or number of photos that I was trying to have visible in Bridge at one time or what.  I started Goggling what could be the problem.  I found one source say that I needed to reset the preferences and such and that I should start Bridge while holding the ctrl key and choose all three items to reset.  I did this and my thumbnails that were there for all my old photos shot with my Pentax k100d went away.  I just see a flower icon in their place.  I've not been able to get them back.  I have since moved all those big photo files to another folder and the crashing has stopped.  Now I just have the problem that I caused.
What bothers me is that I saw a post here in this forum that says to never use the "purge cache" option from the edit > preferences box in Bridge.  I can't find this post again.  I have done this also before I saw that.  I have also moved my cache to another location so that it had to create a new one. Still this does not work.  I've restarted Bridge, rebooted, "purged the cache for the selection" and "generate high quality thumbnail".  Nothing I've tried works.
Would reinstalling Bridge help?  Do I have to install all of Photoshop?  Do I have to uninstall first?

  • Multiple Problems with PDF InDesign, Bridge, and Acrobat Reader

I create proof books with a blend of Adobe Bridge & InDesign.
Here is my work flow: I will BOLD the errors I am having and need help with.
Step 1.) I create contact sheets in Bridge and save them as PDF's
Problem with Bridge ( I have another posting for this thread as well under Bridge) I cannot save PDF's larger than 400ish photos at 300ppi (important for my printer) without it saving as a blank PDF. COMPLETELY EMTPY! So I have to split up my photos into groups of 400 or less photos then patch them back together.
Problem with Acrobat: If I patch those PDF’s back together with Adobe Acrobat (a suggestion from another person on here) they save great but I get an error when I try to import them in indesign. The error reading: ERROR. Cannot determine page count.
Please open the PDF file in Acrobat, do a “Save As…” and try again. (99)
Step 2.) I use a script (MultiPageImporter2.2.1.jsx) to import the PDF's into Indesign. (if saved as one pdf in acrobat I get the above error)
Problem With InDesign: I run this importer script in InDesign to create my books with a template I use from my printers. Well since I have to import multiple pdf with multiple pages ( because I can’t piece them together without the above error. Then I have this problem:
I place a pdf with 1-226 pages in. I start this on page 1.
I place the next pdf with 1-141 pages in. I start this on page 227.
An error pops up that says I MUST start my import on page 226!!!!!!!!!! I don’t want to import on page 226 because I have two photos on that page!
I tried it several ways and no matter what I loose my last page of my first import.
PLEASE someone help me! I feel like I might be doing something really silly but I’ve spent 7.5 hours today working on this books with error after error.
I have done all the updates on my computers and nothing works. I use two macs and both have the same errors. I have a mac-book Pro | snow leopard and a Imac | snow leopard.
    Thanks much!

All your problems seem to stem from the PDFs that you are making from Bridge.  What you are describing should be perfectly possible, but the fact that Bridge doesn't want to make a PDF with more than 400 photos and it all goes downhill from there makes me suspect Bridge.
Here's a plugin that may help?  Looks pretty cheap for what it does.
Apart from that I'd try to clean up the PDFs that Bridge is producing if Indesign doesn't like them.  One way would be to print to a new PDF, after you've combined them as necessary.
As to the last pronlem you mention, where it forces you to place on page 226, have you tried creating a blank page 227 first, before you try placing?

  • Problems with the ActiveX bridge for Java beans when using third-party .jar

I encountered the following problem when using the ActiveX bridge for a java bean:
I am using JDK 1.4.2_09 and MS Visual Basic 6.0 (SP6). I wrote a java bean called ProcessViewer (my class ProcessViewer inherits from JComponent and implements the interfaces Serializable and AdjustmentListener) which I would like to use within a VB 6.0 application. I used the ActiveX bridge (packager.exe) to generate a DLL (ProcessViewer.dll) and registered it successfully. The java bean GUI-control works fine within my VB 6.0 application unless my java bean (ProcessViewer.jar) uses any third-party .jar files.
But when I tried to add a reference to some third-party class (com.sap.xxx.xxx....) I got some problems. I could solve the problem with packager.exe by setting the correct CLASSPATH. But at runtime my VB 6.0 application does not work. It crashes or it reports an error like this: "The control ... could not be loaded from axbridge.dll" (although I deployed my .jar file correctly to the directory C:\Programme\Java\j2re1.4.2_09\axbridge\bin and lib). Setting the CLASSPATH environment variable before calling my VB 6.0 application (exe) did not solve the problem.
How can I teach my VB 6.0 application (containing the Java bean ActiveX control) where to find the third-party .jar file? Copying the third-party .jar file to the JRE lib-folder or to the axbridge\lib folder did not solve the problem either.
I studied the documentation about the ActiveX bridge given at:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/beans/axbridge/developerguide/index.html
but I am missing informations on how the third-party .jar files can be found during runtime of the ActiveX container (e. g. a VB 6.0 application).

See how to solve your problem with JNI:

  • Problems with keywording in Bridge CS4

    Hi,
I am using Bridge CS4 to add keywords and captions (descriptions) to my photos. However, I have noticed that when I change the photos from location, from one folder to another, Bridge cannot recognize the keywords anymore (no problem with the captions). The same happens if I change the name of the folder where the photos are in. This problem happens if I do those folder changes outside Bridge AND also INSIDE Bridge.
However other programs (Picasa, Windows7 AND surprisingly Photoshop CS4) will recognize the keywords after those folder changes.
Can someone help me with this Bridge problem ? is this a well known bug ?
    Anthony

i have tried with 2 out of the 3 options. I cannot purge the cache, i will then loose all the information (labels, ratings,...) on my big database (160,000 images). (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/331/331083.html)
    It did not work ;-(
Another very strange thing, i noticed that the 10% of pictures that were not affected by the problem are in 99% of the cases vertical (portrait pictures)...
Thanks for trying to help !

  • Problems with Photoshop and Bridge in Yosemite

Since updating to Yosemite on my MacBook Pro, CS3 no longer works properly.
Instead of thumbnails, Bridge displays icons for Nikon NEF images. When I click on the icon, I’m told “Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file.”
When I attempt to open the image directly through Photoshop, I’m presented with a Photoshop Raw Options window asking me to describe the dimensions of the image. (I don’t know how to do anything other than guess at the size, and when the image opens, it looks like grey noise on an old TV screen.)
I’ve reinstalled CS3 but the problems remain.

I suppose you also updated the Adobe Camera Raw that came with it.
This is a bit involved, and I'm out of ideas.
Keep asking, but remember this a user-support forum, not Adobe support, although Adobe staff does visit on their own time.
You can also search Google and see if forums outside of Adobe have found a fix.

  • Problems with metadata in Bridge CS3

We have a couple of problems:
Problem 1: Every time images are rotated we are losing the embedded metadata?
When an image arrives from a photographer and shows an orientation of 90° in the camera exif metadata (as seen in Bridge) we have to rotate it (or just resave it in Photoshop) so that it appears the right way up. This causes it to lose its metadata.
Obviously if we do all the rotating BEFORE we input metadata then this isnt a huge problem.
However it is a problem if the images arrive with metadata that we would like to keep.
Problem 2 Weve noticed that Bridge doesnt always write metadata to a file across the server. Weve run tests to check this: we write metadata to a file using Bridge but when we open the image in Photoshop its not there. Is this a known fault?
Thank you very much for any help,
    Susannah

According problem 1: this is not normal behavior and you could try first to restart Bridge holding down option key to reset the preferences.
But if you experience this also on the server I don't know if this solutions works. And according to problem 2, you should open a case on Adobe support using the little contact button top right on this page, not many users (including me) of this forum are using a server or know a lot about of that workflow :-(
You could try a forum search also on the word server (Search for forum only works when you are on the mainpage with al the post for Bridge for some strange reason...)

  • Problem with IIS- WebLogic bridge

    Hi!
We have configured the IIS-WebLogic bridge for WebLogic 6.0 (SP1), with IIS
4.0 on two separate machines. This works on URLs which directly refer to
pages lying on the same machine as WebLogic, but some links which refer to
WebLogic properties file and then determines the page to be displayed (e.g.
include files). These work when the exact URL (including the IP Address and
port no. of the WebLogic Server) is pasted in the browser address window,
but fail when the proxied hyperlink is clicked from another page, or the
proxied URL is pasted in the address window.
Can anyone help. This is slightly urgent.

It looks like you have the sendRedirect() problem.
We will convert the relative uri into Absolute URL in the sendRedirect().
    the logic looks something like:
if (url is an absolute url) { //i.e: http://host:port/dummy.jsp
    response.setHeader("Location", url);
    sendError("302");
} else if (url is an absolute uri) { //i.e: /dummy.jsp
//prepend protocol, host and port info
    } else if (url is a relative uri) { //i.e: dummy.jsp
//cacluate the context path based on the current request
    //i.e: you are request http://iis:7001/include/index.jsp
PathTrim=/weblogic is set in the iisproxy.ini
//so the Location header looks like:
    //http://iis:7001/weblogic/include/dummy.jsp
As you can see you may need to specify the redirected uri
to fall into the rules of "proxy by path" or "proxy by mime type" if you want
the iis to proxy the request properly.

  • Problems with Java Access Bridge

    Hello to all,
first of all, sorry if the message is in the wrong place.
I'm developing an application, in C++, to fill up the fields in a Java aplication, it should work on a Windows 7 x64 machine. I'm using jdk 6u29 and java access bridge 2.0.2 for 32 bits soft.
My problem is that in some computers the function isJavaWindow() allways returns false when it it should be true, the most rare thing with it is tha it is working in a virtual machine, and in a clone of this virtual machine it is not working... Is there any special consideration I have to take into account when using Java AccessBridge?
    Thank you!
    Roger.

Bump... I'd like to know how to click a button with Access Bridge too. I can automate windows programs tho... So, isn't there really anyone who knows how to automate a Java program with C++ and Access Bridge?

  • Problems with CS6 using Bridge

Hi - any help will be greatly appreciated! I cannot get PS6 to use Bridge or MiniBridge.  I just get "Waiting for Bridge CS6"
I'm running Windows 7, SP1; and McAfee Security Center 11.6.  My account has Admin privileges.  I installed a full version of CS6 from CD. And I installed the latest updates (as of 4/3/13) for both products.PS6 and Bridge.
    Here's what I've tried:
I installed CS6 successfully - Bridge won't launch from within CS6 (Bridge runs fine as a separate application.)  I uninstalled CS2, and rebooted, then re-installed CS6 - Bridge still won't launch.
    I uninstalled Photoshop Elements 10 (all the pieces) & rebooted.  I re-installed CS6 – Bridge still won't launch.
    I uninstalled Lightroom 1 & rebooted.  I re-installed CS6 - Bridge still won't launch.
I checked online to try to find a solution and found this link:  http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/error-waiting-for-bridge-cs5.html
I renamed the switchboard folder; re-booted; launched CS6 – Bridge still won’t launch.
I checked for issues with McAfee. McAfee lists both Photoshop CS6 and Bridge CS6 as having Full access to the internet.  I cannot find any way to allow or block programs on my PC from communicating with each other.
I checked my hosts file.  It contains only comments.
I cleared the cryptographic database and deleted keys via regedit (as instructed by link above) & re-booted.
The only thing I did not try on the list was moving everything to a new account.  I am really reluctant to do this because it is more onerous than using Bridge as a stand-alone app!
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply, Mylenium.  Unfortunately, that didn't make any difference.
I first attempted to re-install the current version and got the message "Adobe Air already installed.  This version of Adobe Air is already installed on your system."
Next, I un-installed the version on my computer, re-booted, then re-installed it.  That didn't work either.

  • Debug 03,04 Problems with North & South Bridge

So I just got a MSI MPOWER MAX and I'm getting the famous 03 post code. It seems to be going around with MSI boards and I can't figure it out. I've reset the bios, reinstalled windows, ran it with just the hdd, one stick on ram and the CPU. I've done CMOS flash, I've checked settings in the bios, I've updated all the drivers, I've checked all the power connects and even changed out the psu. What's left and has anybody found a solution to this annoying problem.
    CPU: 4770k

    Ram: 2x 8GB 1600Mhz RAM

What problem do you have? As you reinstalled Windows seems as if it boots up fine. What should be this "famous" 03 post code "issue"?

  • Connection problems with Extreme/Express bridge

    Hi,
I have an old Airport Extreme (a/b/g/n) and a new model Airport Express (a/b/g/n) both connected together via ethernet.  They are on opposite ends of my house...  The express is wired to my router, and I'm trying to use the Extreme as a range extender.
I had some problems setting it up (the option to extend range on the Extreme was only present if I factory reset it and got all the settings correct the first time through setup), but I've had everything working together well for a couple months now.  Anything connected to one is on the same subnet and uses the same DHCP server as the other.
My problem at this point is is that when you walk from one side of the house to the other (switching routers) the connection drops.  Multiple applications show this problem, but it's very noticable with FaceTime - if you walk across the house the call drops.  The routers are probably 120 feet from each other, so the signal from each does reach (but not well) the other router and I don't think it's a signal problem.  It just seems that every time a device picks a new access point its connections drop.  Is there any way to correct this?

Wanted to reply to myself, hoping it may help someone in the future.  Finally resolved my issue.  As discussed above, I set up a second 5ghz network and tied the Express to it.  The final trick was forcing the iPad to that same 5gHz network.  Now I can airplay from the iPad and my Bose system works with no inteference/cut outs.
I can't airplay from my iPhones when using the outside speakers, but I got what I wanted in the end.

  • Problem with Exporting from Bridge CS5 to Social Media sites

    Hi Adobe users,
I'm a new French user of CS5 Bridge. My question is :
Is it possible for me to export pictures from Bridge to Social Media Sites like Facebook & Flickr ?
This topic (http://www.tipsquirrel.com/exporting-from-bridge-cs5-to-social-media-sites/) introduce me to exporting files but I haven't got the modules who were necessary for exporting. After, I do a Check For Update, without results. So I have another question :
What are the steps in order to have the necessary modules ?
    Thanks Julien BARREAU
    Sorry for my bad english.

You can't. The export module (btw gone in Bridge CC) has never worked properly for all social media. The reason they gave was due to rights management in different countries. It only worked in a few countries for Facebook.
