Problems with sensors

Hi there, I have a new iphone 3gs baught 1 week ago with some reclaimed sensor and display problems at the store where I baught it from. They refused me any replacement (at ~few houres from baught) so please, can somebody give me some email address where to tell my story and solve the problem?
I tried the online support form but unfortunatelly it always gives me this message: "We're sorry, but we are unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again in a few minutes or start over now"...over and over again

Problem with Sensor fan 3 and 4 (P67A-GD65

Hi all :D.
I had buy 1 week ago a new P67A-GD65 motherboard but i have found a problem .
Today, i have connected my 4 fan in three different slot fan.
When i look with EFI the rpm of the fan,i can look only CPU_FAN SYS_Fan1 and SYS_FAN2 but not for SYS_Fan3.
Where is the problem? Sensor? Or what?
I had try to use AIDA64 and SPEEDfan but same problem

Not all Fan headers support fan monitoring & fan speed adjustion. That is not a bug but rather the lack of a feature.

E75 Problem with Sensor

Before installing the "turnable" option allowing pictures to be turned according to their format once you open the phone keyboard, the viewer shows pictures in the unopened mode the right way. Once you try out the option "turnable", and you go back again to the normal pictures viewer (without sensor) all pictures remain in the "sensor" option, and are wrongly turned also without opening the keyboard

ok that really easy you get the nokia pc software and the once u have it installed you click on software update option (green icon) and then u just fallow the steps it takes about 20-30 min Max and it will restore everything your phone originally came with.
Note DON'T back up your full phone memory because then when u restore it will be just like u backed it up use the sync option for your contacts and messages but don't do full back up because u will only be wasting your time.

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches after installing new software or apps.

Just take it to a nokia care point and they will check it out for you under warranty.
Any attempt to repair on investigate yourself will void the warranty and most likely cause more damage.

Problem with light sensor

I have a problem with the light sensor of my MacBook Pro. The light sensor has always worked until I have manually increased the brightness. From that moment the light sensor does not work anymore.

Is anyone having problems with the iPhone 5 motion sensors?

I having a problem with my phone when it comes to reading movement, the compass doesn't work when it asks to tilt phone to calibrate and in some games it doesn't read when I tilt the phone. I read that apple had a lot of customer complaints about bad motions sensors not be calibrated correctly and I was wondering if anyone else is having/had this problem and what was done to fix it.

'ipod has not found a sensor' - could it be a problem with plane?

I have just received a nike+ ipod sport kit, which I bought on ebay. Receiver is probably ok because the application works correcty. But when I am asked to walk around to locate sensor, it doesn't find anything, writting a message 'ipod has not found a sensor'. I'm sure that it's not in a sleeping mode.
I was thinking if there could be a problem with delivery. Like some problem during flight or some mechanical damage.
Could anyone help please?

Is this a problem with the Sudden Motion Sensor or the HDD?

I have a MacBook that I purchased in Septemberof this year, and for a while I have been having a problem with the HDD. I understand that there is a Sudden Motion Sensor that parks the hard disk when the computer is moved suddenly, but every hour or so I can hear the HDD make a single loud click for seemingly no reason at all. The computer can be sitting on my desk with no applications running and this will still happen. This is not really much of a problem other than the annoying noise, but if I am playing music or a video from the HDD it will skip when it does this. I have disabled the SMS for now to see if it will make a difference, I am very careful with my devices so I do not fear that I will cause any HDD damage without the SMS, but I am not sure if it is a problem with the HDD or the SMS. Could anyone shed some light on this for me?

Well turns out disabling the SMS did nothing so I'm going to just take it in and hope it can be fixed.

Little problems with two sensors

I've got a problem with two sensors.
First, the luminosity sensor. I'd like to set the brightness to a fixed value. It would not vary from darkness to bright sunlight.
Then, when i'm typing in landscape mode, it often switches back to portrait mode, wich make me terribly angry as i lose too much time.
How can i solve these two problems ?
Is there a special app?
Last, but least, does anyone know if an app that would allow to take HDR/exposure blending pictures exist ? It'd take 3 to 5 photos with different exposures, and if it merged them to a good tonemapped picture it would be perfect.

The light sensor can't be set to a fixed permanent value using the phones default settings, I'm afraid. You can only adjust it's sensitivity. However, some users have reported using an app to keep the screen set at maximum brightness.
The motion sensor which switches the phone screen orientation has become more sensitive after the recent PR 1.1 update, so not a lot can be done about that either, apart from trying to hold the phone as steady as possible when using it.
Finally, there isn't any HDR available for the N8 at this time, nor is there any setting to increase the exposure time to something like a second, which would be a nice feature to add to a great camera.

R7970 problem with temperature sensor?

So last month I RMA'd my R7970 and I just received it in the mail. Originally my problem was I had artifacting lines, and occasionally freezes. In the time between that I had ordered a 5450 just as a temporary card.
When I got my 7970 back I removed the 5450 and placed the 7970 in its place. However after booting up my computer the fans started going on max speed every few seconds while online. I looked at the temperature according to afterburner and it says its at 70c where my previous card was probably around 50 during normal use. I tried playing skyrim but it's not the funnest thing to play when you have the sound of a fan blowing at 50 mph. And while playing this the temperature went up to ~95c
The reason I'm thinking theres a problem with the censor is that I felt the exhaust from the pci slot and though it was warm, it was not 95 degrees of hot. I turned off the computer and took out the graphics card and placed it back in thinking that was the problem but its still just as loud. I figured I'd post here first and see if maybe I did something wrong before contacting MSI directly.

ram: gskill 16gb ddr3 1600(?)mhz

Hi I've replaced the paste on two msi 7870 as they do an awfull job of applying by putting about six times to much on. I used a Noctua NT H1 non conductive paste just a very tiny pea size and the temps have dropped by 10%c on both cards. They are now in crossfire mode and pretty quiet although obviously they run hotter in crossfire mode but max out at 65%c. I had to RMA one of these cards just two weeks ago as the temp diode set the fan at full speed once it hit about 60%c which was intolerable as I expect yours is. They sent me a replacement card and didn't query that I had broken the warranty seal when I replaced the thermal paste. I'm surprised at how hot your 7970 gets although I've never used one is that normal for this card, is it in a decent sized case, is something stopping one of the fans from moving eg a power wire etc. sounds silly but I had this problem with a small form shuttle a motherboard wire had to be reouted on a twin fan card for that reason. Hope you get it sorted

Problems with display of preview - and Adobe's tech support.

After quite a bit of struggle I am still experiencing problems with the way Bridge CS5 displays previews. Previews are displayed with rather low quality. By that I mean low resolution that causes images to appear pixelated and out of focus. I've tried every possible setting in Bridge (or at least I think I have) but nothing seems to work. The setting that forces Previews to be built to the specific monitor size of the computer used doesn't work for me as I spend equal amounts of time working between my Macbook Pro 17" and my Apple 30" cinema display that have different resolutions. I've tried this setting and the preview images created on the notebook would not display at all on the 30" display.
I have contacted support only to find it is nearly non-existent. A voice obviously from someone located in India answered and kept asking what I considered to be basic questions and must have used the word "apologize" at least 20 to 30 times (no exageration) during the 1 hour and 43 minutes we were on the phone to accomplish nothing other than to "register" my complaint.
What is happening to Adobe ? This is not a joke, a rumor or an angry comment but rather a serious question from a user who has built a professional workflow based on the use of Adobe's products. I have been an user of the Adobe Creative Suite since its very first version and of the individual applications even before then. Bridge is one of the applications I use the most in my workflow that involves the organization of my large database of medical images I keep from my treatments and research. So this is very serious to me. I am now on the phone with Adobe waiting again to speak with someone in technical support. I was told the average waiting time would take between 35 and 50 minutes and I didn't think it would be possible but so far I have been on hold waiting for 1 hour and 7 minutes and someone has yet to answer the phone. What is happening with Adobe ? Is the company about to go out of business ? The last time I remember experiencing such a lack of support from a company I did so when contacting Polaroid and we all know what happened to it.
To make matters worse I have twice contacted Adobe and asked their technical support agent to remove a phone number that they seem to have mistakenly written as a contact number in my files. More than one month after I registered my support request I finally received an e-mail stating that had tried to contact me at the phone that isn't mine and shouldn't be a part of my records despite the fact I have instructed them twice to remove. There are serious legal implications here as I am bound to confidentiality when it comes to the medical information I manage with my Adobe applications and the idea that someone in technical support may accidentally share this information with a stranger while calling the wrong number is a serious problem.
What is going on ?
Outside of this forum I have no idea who to contact and if it is even worthwhile doing so as it may prove to be a huge waste of time.
Bridge has been a problem application since its inception. In fact the only version of Bridge that seemed to have worked (somewhat) right out of the box was the first one. I have experienced problems with Bridge with every single new version. Previews that don't display properly, crashes, folder hierarchy indicators not displaying properly, and others. The same images display fine if I open them in Apple's OS X Preview or Photoshop CS5. The problem is restricted to Bridge. All images are RAW high-quality images from a professional Canon EOS 1Ds MK II camera with a 17 megapixel full size sensor, and they always look stunning on everything else.
What is one to do ???

I've tried both choices for both options. My usual default options are 'Software Rendering' unchecked as I have a new Macbook Pro (only a few months old) and the graphics card is powerful enough to handle the previews and 'Monitor Previews' also unchecked.

On Bridge's interface upper right hand corner I have also selected using one of its pull down menus the following options:

Problem with HD? and a few other things...

Just got my MBP with a 320GB 7200rpm and I wonder if what I am hearing is good or bad. Generally the computer is working fine, but if I lift the computer from the table (or my lap) and tilt it quickly I get a clicking sound where the hard drive is located. It sounds like as if the head is being parked. Is that possible, even if the movement is not dramatic?
Also, when I am watching online videos and there is a lot of panning, I get vertical lines as if the processor is to slow to process the information. I don't remember having that problem with my MB. If I watch a movie with quicktime, I don't have any problems. Is that a safari issue?
Then some Flash applications make my MBP go really hot, even if there is hardly any animation within the flash file. Is that just poor flash programming or is Flash using a lot of resources by default? Is there a way to see all the processes that are active?
The last thing is the battery life. I was somewhat surprised that the battery life is somewhere around 2.5 h if I only use the computer to use the internet and write some stuff in Pages. My MB lasted about 40-60 minutes longer.

Yes, that would be the sudden motion sensor parking the heads to prevent damage to the platters.
Yes, that sounds like it may be an issue with viewing in Safari, depending upon what Safari is using to display the video. It may also be an artifact in the video itself.
Did you install the Flash software? Are you using the correct version for the computer? A Flash file is an animation.
To see processes open the Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. Select All Processes from the Processes drop down menu.

Problems with iTunes 10.6.1 and Apple TV 3.0.2

I'm having problems with syncing my Apple TV (ATV) 3.0.2 to iTunes 10.6.1: Only a random sub-set of my music and videos appears against the ATV in iTunes and a different sub-set is actually showing on the ATV itself. There are no error messages reported and the ATV is visible in iTunes. I have tried the following:
Rebooting the ATV - no difference
Disconnecting from iTunes and then reconnecting - no difference
Performing a factory reset on the ATV - when the ATV first came back (with software version 2.whatever) all of my media was visible against the ATV in iTunes and on the ATV. However, once it had updated to the latest level (3.0.2) I was back to square one!
Has anyone else found this problem and, if so, is there a fix or work-around?

I have an old macbook too.
It seems like Apple writes new software that makes older computers not work as well.
I always have reservations about updating with an older model.
