Problems with SMD Scheduler

Hi,
I did an update of the java stack including the patches of the solman diagnostics tools. But I didn't set the SMD to "maintenance mode" during the patch activities.
Since then the scheduler ist not working anymore. The requests stay in the status "queued" and will not be proccessed. I tried to restart the scheduler and after that to reschedule the jobs, but this didn't help. The status of the jobs changes again from "waiting" to "queued" once the start time is passed.
I check OSS note 1104498. But this didn't solve the problem, too. But I'm not quite sure, which trace file is meant in point 3.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve the problem?

When you are clicking on the System in SMSY, do you get a message that this is a dual stack system and gives you a
choice with a dialog that has two buttons to select 'EPD~JAVA' or 'EPD-ABAP'?
Just if you are then you have not defined the system correctly in SMSY
Let me knwo if you get this dialog when you seelct the SID in SMSY.
Did you use the System Landscape Setup Guide to define your technical system?

    Hello all Gurus,
    I have a problem with inbound delivery. Whenever I am trying to create inbound delivery in VL31N with the total open quantity of MM scheduling agreement, I am getting a warning message as below
    "Notified quantity less than goods receipt quantity".
    If the quantity was less then 80, then I should get this message.
    But the total open quantity in MM Scheduling agreement in ME38 is 80. So when I am creating the inbound delivery for 80, why system is giving me this warning message????
    Kindly advise whether we have to maintain any settings anywhere or am I missing something here.

  • DMU 2.0 problem with sys.scheduler$_program_argument anydata column

    I'm testing dmu2.0 conversion (WE8ISO8859P15 to AL32UTF8 12.1.0.1 database)  and I have a problem with scheduler$_program_argument table.
    There is a column VALUE (anydata) which causes tablescan to fail with errors:
    ORA-21700: object does not exist or is marked for delete ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DUMA_INTERNAL", line 8 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DUMA_INTERNAL", line 43 ORA-06512: at line 1
    I'm have not been able to mark it as"skip" and it prevents the conversion.
    What would be the right way to handle this error?

    The ORA-21700 error prevented the DMU scan from querying this column. Please check MOS note 1621719.1. See if you have dropped any types used for the argument values and recreate the dropped type.

  • Problems with SMD and Non-ABAP EW Alerts

    Iu2019m installing Solution Manager Diagnostics EhP1. Iu2019ve installed SMD Agent at my satellite systems and created the system and the solution at Solution Manager EhP1 SP21 (SMSY and DSWP transactions), but when I try to execute at Solution Manager Diagnostics (http:<server>:<port>/sld) managed systems -> setup wizard for my managed systems, I got the following error:
    u201CNo instances or servers are defined for this system. Please check its definition in SMSY before proceeding to setupu201D
    If I try to open up the system I realise that the Landscape collumn is red-rated and shows:
    Start checking Technical System 'EPD~JAVA'. (green-rated)
    No Hosts found! (red-rated)
    The Technical System is not well defined! (red-rated)
    Iu2019ve maintained properly SMSY transaction, and defined servers and instances for Application Server Java, EP Content, EP Core and Enterprise Portal.
    On the other hand, Iu2019ve followed SAP Note 976054 and itu2019s attached file, which types that I can schedule an EW Alert for Non-ABAP trhough DSWP transaction -> Solution->Solution Reporting->Services->Activities->Scheduling Reporting.
    If I schedule the job and try to execute, the job is cancelled and the job log types this:

    At the same word file, it shows that I can download an XML file wich contain all data required for the service in question and upload it into a service session for direct evaluation.
    When I try to go to Managed systems->Scheduler, I notice that this section doesnu2019t appear at my Solution Manager Diagnostics. I only have setup options for Diagnostics system and managed systems.
    So I resume my main problems:
    1 When I try to setup an managed system I get a pop up u201CNo instances or servers are defined for this system. Please check its definition in SMSY before proceeding to setupu201D
    2 When I try to execute SM_REP:XXXXXXX job itu2019s cancelled
    3 When I try to get an XML file for direct evaluation, Iu2019m unable to get to the option to execute it.

  • Problem with KM Scheduler par file

    I created a KM Scheduler project and uploaded the par file. It was making use of few jar files.
    I have just uplaoded the par file and still not set the scheduler time. When I see the default trace logs, I am able to see that

    My guess is that in the above line it is just picking up the jar files. But I want to know why it is trying repeatedly to pick up the jar files??

    But I did not rename the par from "5_MailServiceScheduler" to "MailServiceScheduler, I am confused now.
    And I completely agree on your statement that portal has to be restarted as KM does not support hot deployment. BUt my doubt is even before the KM went down, the message got printed in the log file several times..Why this strange behaviour??
    Also, could you please let me know how to reference the jar files via portalapp.xml.

    When I execute that job :

    the job is submitting successfully, but it can't run automatically. If I force it :

  • Problem with  "Employee Schedule" template

    Help!
    I'm trying to use the Employee Schedule template and add some new values to the popup of times. Although they appear just as times like "5:00 PM", they actually seem to be date-times (on 15 Jul 2008, which I guess is when the template was created).
    If I add a new value like "11:00 PM" it's taken to be today's date so the hours calculation is way out. If I type in something like "15 Jul 2008 11:00PM" then the calculation works but I see the date as well as the time!
    Is there any way of changing the formatting of a cell that's of type "Pop-Up Menu" to only show hours and minutes?

    Rolf,
    If you want to add new values, change them all so they will all have the same date. You'll need to do this for both starting and ending times so the math will come out properly. When you've made a new pair of Pop-ups, copy them and paste them to all the locations where you need them.

    We are configuring SMD and Wily. From the diagnostics system we are initializing Database Monitoring.
    We get this error:
    Database history :You are not authorized for DB access (S_DBCON: TSXIT TXQ <Windows authentication> 03).
    Extractors activation :The DB performance warehouse failed to be setup, thus the DB extractors were not activated.
    Anyone can help me here?

  • Sales Order Stock - Problem with Schedule line

    Hi guru,
    I have a problem with my schedules line.
    We use the Sales order stock ( using MB1B with good movement  412/E) for some specific customers.
    Even if the sales order reservation works well, there is an issue with the schedule line in the order.
    Indeed when i enter the material in the order the schedule line display an availibily in 8 days even if the material is out of stock or available now....
    When i enter the same materila in a standard order(with item category without special stock E) the schedules line are good...
    What is it the most weird is that i have done the customizing by copying the standard item and i have just added the special stock E in the item category.

    I tried to change the requierement class in order to put one with special stock E as you explained, but i still have my weird schedule line. When i put the item in the order it is 0 stock for today, but stock find in 12 days either if there is stock or no(unrestricted stock i mean).
    If i change the RDD in more than 12 days the stock is available for the date requested.
    If you have an idea of what could be wrong because on my case i want the schedule line to be at 0 while the sales order reservation has not been processed (via MB1B/412/E) and once the stock movement is done the schedule line has to be find.
    I dont know if im clear enought..
    To be more clear,  i want the schedule line based on the "sales order stock" and not on the "unrestricted stock".

  • Incremental file load with agent scheduler

    Hello.
    I have a problem with agent scheduler. At first Ill describe what I do:
    I wanna load data from files named xx_20100101, xx_20100102, xx_20100103, and so on..
    - I created interface which loads data into oracle table.
    - File Data store (resource name) is called #file_name. #file_name is Variable computed from metadata table.
    - This metadata table contains data about files and statuses. E.g. columns (File name,File date, Status) data (xx_20100101,20100101,READY).
    - I created Procedure which sets Status from READY to DONE after successfull load from every file into table.
    - All these steps are in Package. So when I run this package (with steps: Declare variable -> run Interface -> Run package -> Refresh variable).
    - Variable is computed as record with min(File Date) and Status = 'READY'
    After execution of package everything looks ok.
    But when I execute Package via agent scheduler only step with Interface is correctly runned. Packege which changes status of file load does no update and variable is not refreshed. So that next run of Package computes with sam data as first run.
    Where can be a problem?

    Always use the #<PROJECTCODE>.<VARIABLENAME> syntax.
    Where you want to use the variable in the file name it is best practice to run each iteration of the file load in a separate session. You should take the approach to invoke a scenario with the variable passed in as a parameter for each file to be processed.
    Inside the "child" scenario you should declare the variable (making sure it is a non-persistent type) before you execute the load.
    If you run the scenario synchronously you won't have to change the KMs to make them run in parallel by modifying the temporary table names - conversely, if you change the KMs to use unique table names for the temporary tables (C$, I$) then you will be able to run the scenarios asynchronously and in parallel.

  • Help with Skillbuilders Schedule issue

    I'm using the Skillbuilders Schedule and it has been working well until we had some problems with Monthly schedules created in 2012 with the option "Day of the Month". When I apply the schedule it automatically changes this to the "last day" and in the table it shows BYMONTHDAY=-1 (with the minus sign). I can also see this issue occurring in the Demo page for this plugin (http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=SKILLBUILDERS_SCHEDULE:HOME), only for events created in 2012 and only for "Day of the Month" radio button.

  • Problems with planning scenarios

    Dear all
    I've a huge problem with the scheduling of a project. I hope I can explain it properly.
    I've created a project with some networks in it. The planning scenario is free scheduling and strict bottom up. I'm using the backward scheduling.
    Some of the networks, which are connected with the "Main" Network now are not scheduled properly. For example I have an acitivity in the "Main" network which is connected with a FS relationship to an activity (this activity has set up a constraint earliest possible) of another network. When I'm carrying out the scheduling this activity is planned much later than the activity in the Main network. In some other similar networks the scheduling is carried out regurarly.
    Now, when I'm changing the planning scenario to bottom up, canceling the start date in the network of concern and making a new scheduling of the whole project, the activity is placed in the right period. When I'm changing back the planning scenario and rescheduling the project once more, the activity is again postponed, even further in the future than before.

    In our environment problem with remove task from schedule by PWA.
    Problem is only when I want to remove few task in the same time, but the operation one by one is correct.
    In my opinion problem is with calculation schedule after remove tasks, column ID include wrong value it means that Number ID does not generate in the correct order same of numer
    disappear. Click Calculate button on ribbon causes problem with finshed operation and save project.
    Problem occurs only machine with IE 11.0 browser without compability mode, on other machine for example on the same project with IE 8,9,10 everything is correct.
    Problem appeared recently, earlier everything was OK.

    I'm a bit confused. You are now talking about 2 issues.
    For the first one, you cannot edit anymore tasks in PWA, with any browser versions? Is it happenonog for any users on any projects? Try the following solutions publish the project from Project Pro and see if it helps. Press CTRL F5 to delete IE cache. Ensure
    that your PWA URL is added to the trusted site and/or compatibility sites. Check for the ULS logs or javascript errors.
    For the second issue, please refer to my previous reply, this obviously cannot be considered as a bug since it is happening with a non supported browser version and working properly on supported versions of IE.

    There is a problem with scheduling planned orders in MRP. SFG is assigned to the BOM of FG. No inhouse production time maintained in the material master of SFG & FG. routing maintained for both . In OPU5 scheduling & capacity reuiremnts tickmarked for detailed scheduling. Scheduling level - via detaied scheduling. Scheduling type - backward. Adjust basic dates , adjust dep. req. to order start set. In MD02 , scheduling is via ' lead time scheduling'.
    My problem is the start date & time & finish date & time is same for planned orders of FG & SFG in the detailed scheduling tab of the planned orders. (Duration is same because of same capacity requirements on the same work centre. But how is the finish date same for both SFG & FG?)
    (Capacity requirements are being generated.)
    What could be the problem ?

    By scheduling the routing and maintain lot size dependent time in material is best practice and result of scheduling will be consistent.
    If you want SFG before FG you need to define lead time offset in BOM or need to maintain the floats before production.
