Problems with SMS spam - is there a spam blocker?

I'm getting a lot of SMS spam, I don't want to change my number because of the impossibility of getting a new number to all my work contacts, is there an app to filter SMS messages as for Android?

Thanks for the responses. I'm in the UK not the US so, unfortunately, can't follow US specific advice - I wish spam SMSs were illegal over here! The spam I'm getting is people trying to sell me insurance and legal services for dodgy 'claims' etc. I'm very careful about what I check on web sites, but obviously not careful enough. It's like being under siege. I'll check with my provider to see if they can do anything.

My experience with Win98 is that it is not a very stable system, regardless of software used. For example, Win2000 and XP are far more stable than 98. I've had it crash on its own if I leave the computer on for several days.
I wouldn't recommend running programs for long time (few days) on this OS.
This being said, can you be more specific in your question. What kind of stability problems did you have, which VIs did you run (if possible post them here), did you change the interrupts and priority levels on those VI, do you get error messages or blue screen....

Try:

Strange problem with sms

Hi, I am in a big problem here so please help me.
My problem is that i have an app that sends sms and it used to work well, but when passed to some devices they dont send anything. Now the same app was deployed to a blackberry curve and it sends the sms but the message is never recieved by any phone. I tested sending to a nokia 6131, motorola l6i, htc excalibur, and a treo 650. The treo was the only one receiving the messages but not anymore, I am sending to the port 0 and the phone is put on international format.
The app have been correctly working on nokia phones and also tested on a blackberry 7290 but on blackberry curve is not working, I also loaded a small app just to send 1 sms and didnt work.
Any ideas, why does some phones can send/receive sms and some other not. Why is java too unreliable with this.

all other devices are working fine and they send the sms successfully
i dont use the port but use the primum no like 45456
it works well on all devices but dont work on MOTO E6 and MOTO A1200(ming)

I think i have the same problem with a few BlackBerry Users out there. I can't view SMS even though there's clearly a notification stating that i've a new SMS. I need to go to View SMS inbox to view the message.

Firefox will not load pages. No problem with Windows Explorer. There is no malware.

No matter what page, it takes forever to load but many times I have to reselect the address and hit enter again and again. This happens with the NY Times, and most of my bookmarks. There is no problem with Explorer which I do not like to use. I have scanned for Mal-ware, viruses etc and nothing. It is becoming increasingly annoying and forces me to use MS. It has been ongoing with Facebook as well. What is going on?!

The problems are getting worse. I think I will have to give up on Firefox and go with the Google browser. No problems with IE just firefox and I can't take it anymore.

Yes, get a 4TB max HD, 6TB drives are both new and have known issues, ...in fact so do most all 4TB drives.

Large external hard drives are great! Large external hard drives are horrible
It is a common premise that people are overjoyed at the dropping prices per terabyte on external hard drives, and the first thing that enters most peoples minds is "great, I can put all my stuff on one drive,... all of it!" However considerations need to be made in creating a giant single choke point for not mere data loss, but seriously large data loss. If there is at the very least yet another redundant copy, this is fine, otherwise do not consider it whatsoever. Some 3TB and 4TB drives of all mfg. have, at the time of this writing, reliability concerns currently and best recommendation is staying at 2TB drives or less.

I'm not sure exactly when it happened, but one day my Google search bar turned blue when I tried typing in it. I couldn't see what I was typing. I did some research and some forums said it was a problem with Firefox. Have you heard of this? Is there a solution for it?

For me, the google search bar turns blue once I've typed in a search term, but then want to click on it again to change or add something. The entire bar turns blue. I can still type, but it's hidden. Then when I click Search, it does bring up my search results and now the terms I've written are showing in the search bar, with no blue.
The only way to get out of it when the blue is there, is to reload the page.

What your operator means by "disable unicode keyboard" is to set your phone so that you can't write these accented characters with the keyboard. You can do that by changing the language of they keyboard.

Problem with SMS tone

Hi I have a problem with my iPhone..
Sometimes when i receive an SMS, the Sound that I have allocated to play when I receive the SMS does not play..
This only happen sometimes, and I cant explain why its not playing..
All the settings is correct (Volume is up , The SMS tone is set, Its not on Silent)

they are fixing the apps issue, i have never heard of their being no ringtone showing on ur iphone or itunes, have u downloaded itunes 8 as u will need that for the update, sounds like alot of your probs should be fixed, they are fixing the battery life issue i still dont use my iphone with 3g on as i have no service so im waiting for a major fix for that...well lets hope its all fixed by this update and nothing is screwed up by it as im sick of the firmware screwing up a part of the iphone, only good stable firmware was 1.1.4

Problems with sms after 2.1 update

I have an original iphone, and after the recent update, I have had some problems with my text messages.
1. A friend who has sprint is unable to delete a text that I sent to her. She has had no other similar issues from anyone else.
2. Occasionally, the text entry box, disappears and I am unable to type anything.
3. Occasionally I am unable to scroll down to the most recent message in a conversation.
4. The text entry box has also moved up to the top of the screen.
Since the update, texts are not as sluggish, which is great, but these other issues are bothersome as well. Anyone with similar problems?

I don't recall reading anything similar to this, however if you are having problems with your phone, the standard troubleshooting procedures are to turn phone off/back on. If that doesn't correct it, then reboot the phone, hold home key and sleep/wake button together until you see the Apple logo, past the slide to turn off screen. If that doesn't work, then restore, first from a backup, then if necessary as a new phone.
I don't see how someone not being able to delete your text could have anything to do with your phone. That would have to be on their end. I had an origianl phone that I updated to 2.1 and did not have any issues whatsoever. See if any of these help.
