Problems with some fonts, need help!

Hi everyone,
Recently I need to create some documents in Pages and I found some problems with some of the fonts. Apparently some fonts when the font size is increased the spacing between characters gets reduced and ooks very weird.

I've tried all type of configs in pages and i'm really clueless what this is.
Can anyone please give me some pointers?

This leaves several files instaled. Among them are the preferences files. If you re-install with existing preferences files, these one aren't replaced by new, clean, ones.
Right, uninstalling the application does not necessarily uninstall its preferences. (Indeed, previous InDesign and QuarkXPress betas had the problem that they preserved the older preferences when the newer betas were installed which could lead to crashes.)
Arguably, system software has to have smart install / uninstall so that all the files installed by an application are removed, but then what about fonts and / or profiles installed with the application, which some other application may be using as a resource.
I don't know, but the word 'simple' and the word 'software' don't seem ever to be synonyms .

Printing problem with Photoshop cs4, need help

I'm using PS CS4, with a Canon Pixma iP4200 and Mac os 10.6.2. I CAN print from other programs such as TextEdit or Pages. And my printer prints a test page without any problems. However, when I try to print something from PhotoShop, the printer dialogue box opens, I see the image in the preview and the page rolls through my printer...without anything on it. Does anybody know the reason for this?? Thank you for your help.

I haven't heard of anyone else with those specific symptoms.
But another poster has had problems with his Canon 9900 not printing (but no blank page).
The first thing to do is make sure you are using the Canon drivers and not the GutenPrint/GimpPrint drivers.
After that, you probably need to check with Canon.

Problems with exporting. Need help fast

So I recorded some video game footage (Battlefield 4) and when I look at the raw file, it says it's 1920x1080. I edited it and finished it and even if I look in info it says that it's 1920x1080.
But when I try to export the video it says that the source file is 1280x1080
So when I export it, it is in REALLY bad quality and I usually upload high quality videos! What do I do? I need help, fast! I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.
I have a i7 3770k CPU so I don't think that is an issue. 8GB of ram aswell.

Problems with setCharacterEnconding, I need Help

Collegues.
I have a problem with Internationalization, specially with the method setCharacterEnconding, because I need to put a new enconde for my request.
And my code compile sucesfully, but when I try to run in a request Client, appear in the Browser the next.

Exactly the ISO8859-1 containt the languaje code pt, but is very extrange that not encode the output wih my source code. Also change the Locale to Portuguese. But is the same the request can�t encode in the getParameter. And for this reazon I try use setCharacterEncoding for give the request the correct encoder but appear the message error.

Okay, uninstalled the program... But I am still having the issue of the power button icon coming up in the background telling me to shutdown the computer and turning on the computer. Could this be a bad hard drive? I did some research on it befor I bought the 2 TB hard drive. I got the Seagate Barracuda HD. When I looked it up on the Internet the website said that the errors were taken care of for this particular HD. Unless I was miss informed. Is there a way some one can help me find out what this error belongs to? I don't know if it is actually the HD or not.

Compiler Problem with double. Need Help

I am having a problem with WorkShop Compilers 5.0 98/12/15 C++ 5.0. There is a problem with declaring double inside a nested class which is nested 3 times. Below is the code what shows the problem. Salman - I tested your program on an up to date version of the C++
5.0 compiler and received the following results:

That is what I would expect...
Have you installed all of the patches for the 5.0 compiler? It is
possible that this problem was found and fixed.
The current basic patchid's for CC 5.0 on sparc are: 107311-12, 107357-11, and the libC patch for your version of the OS.

Problem with removeallchildren. Need help.

I have a Form container. The children are computed dynamically from the data that is refreshed for every 10 seconds. Depending upon the data I recieve, I will calucalate the number of children I need to draw. Each children will be added as a form item to the form container. The child ..i..e.. form item is a combo box. Every time I get new data I remove all the children which are present then compute new set of child data objects. I am removing the children by form.removeallchildren(). Suppose If I click on combox, it will show up all the values in the drop down, and keep it open with out selecting a value from the drop down up to say 10 sec's so that the data will get refreshed, the combo box will get deleted and the new set of child objects will be created which is expected. But the problem is, the combo box gets deleted by form.removeallchildren(), but the drop down still hangs over there with out combox which was kept open for 10 sec's.
Please share your thoughts on this.

I found out the problem. The problem is with the combo box control. Whether we remove the entire form and reintiate it the problem will be still seen.
The combox has a private property known as destroydropdown where it does the clean up of drop down. The if control will check for wheher drop down exists and is still open. so there the condition fails hence drop down was not getting cleared.
I found a work around for this, the drop down automatically closes for any event generated. So I manually dispatched a click event on form, so it closes the drop down and then later call removeallchildren. By doing this the if control in destroydropdown in combobox control will get passed and does the clean up. Hope this maight be helpful. Thanks for your time.

Many Problems with Ipod! Need Help =[

Ey um there has been lots of issues with my Ipod!! (5th gen 30gigs)
Conditions:
-Ipod skips songs when playing(the songs arn't corrupted)
-Ipod freezes occasionally when viewing photos or playing music
-Ipod at times wont show on itunes 7
-When Ipod has connected to computer, and shown in Itunes, Itunes call my Ipod “Ipod” when it is supposed to be called “RnA”(and it won’t restore…Either my computer freezes or it would go on 4evr but not restore)
-When trying to turn on Ipod, a msg appears “Use Itunes to restore” When I plug and connect to Itunes, It says This Ipod needs to be reformatted for your pc. ( when I press update, my computer freezes, or would take forevr…and not update
-When I try to restore my Ipod my computer freezes or it would take forevr but not work
My questions:
-I bought my Ipod during the summer, and it was bought online from my dad, but he accidentally threw receipt away…Can I still replace my Ipod? Or find repairs?
-Where is the nearest Apple store in SanFrancisco?! I can’t find any!
-HOW DO I FIX MY IPOD?! T.T
What Happened:
Ok, last month, my Ipod was working perfectly until one day it froze… So I reset it. But after a few days when I connect my Ipod to my computer, it charges and everything is fine, but when I click disconnect Ipod on Itunes, or Disconnect when using Safely Remove Hardware…It works but then my Ipod still says Do not disconnect. But I disconnected it anyway and reset it. And it was working. And I have been having this problem a lot wen I updated to Itunes 7.
Then 2-3 weeks later, my Ipod started having many problems… It would skip songs even though my songs aren’t corrupted… And when I look at photos, It would freeze for around 20 seconds, and my Ipod turns laggy. So I reset it and it’s ok but then it happened again the next day. And these problems kept going on but I ignored it T.T
And now, I can’t use my Ipod at all! It says I need to use itunes to restore…So when I connect it to my computer, It would appear on Safely remove hardware, but Itunes would pop up and have no Ipod in it. Please don't shake it. It has a hard drive in it and by doing that you may damage the heads. That is the clack noise the heads hitting the platter. Not a good thing.

Problem with FocusTraversalPolicy.. need help asap!!!!

I have Panel with six text fields. I have another subpanel with another three text fields placed on this main panel. I want to create a FocusTraversalPloicy in a way .. that the focus goes to the first field in the subpanel from the third text field of the main panel. And from the last text field of the Subpanel the focus should go to the 4th text field of the Main Panel. Help needed asap.

Having a problem with Actionscript. Need help

I'm trying to set up the first page in my project so that I capture a person name... and I can use it again later on. I had discussed this in a previous thread with Ned Murphy:

I half way have this working. For some reason when I type in the name, only parts of it appear when I retrieve it.
Here's a look at my actionscript on the first page:

Have you tried embedding the font of your input text area? If you're using Flash CS5 Pro this is very important.

DV5-1115 Problems with overheating, need help please

So i have a:
Pavilion DV5-1115
AMD Turion X2 Processor (yuck)
ATI Radeon Graphics Card
Windows 7 (w00t)
So I have a program that tells me the tempature of my computer, as I'm writing this my computer is 130F, if i play any games it's 150-170 EASY. I play fifteen minutes of a game on lowest graphics (simular to Dota) (no battery as well) and my comp hits right at 200 and shutsdown... Anyone have any idea how to make my computer cooler?
EDITED: I do want to mention that I did send it in once for the same problem, sending it in again for the same problem, I am an IT student and use it atleast ten hours a day. So until I have to send it away I need to atleast have a temporary fix.
P.S. I have it on a table with fans blowing under it. (so really this is ridiculous)
P.P.S. Hp makes me sad atm.

Problems with attribute types, need help!

Hi, everyone! I have a problem. In the first time I have an attribute Number in DB. I use this attribute in JDeveloper form. But now I need that this attribute be with type VARCHAR2(30). I changed DB, after that changed Entity object in JDeveloper to VARCHAR2(30), but now when I try to save record and wrote this attribute as cat&dog (VARCHAR2(30)), there are error: it is not a number.
WHY it is so? What else I need to change?

Make sure that your change has propagated all the way to the corresponding ViewObject.
If it has not you can manually assign the attribute to the correct data type by editing the specific ViewObject attribute in the editor's Overview panel

Problem with linking. Need help.

I am working in acorbat 7 pro and trying to make an interactive portfolio to put on a disc and hand out. Problem is when I set my links to open a file it reads it as being on my computer. So opening the disc on a new compute, won't work.
I tried attaching the files to the pdf and going that route but the main file then became over 1gb.
What am I doing wrong? And is there a way to get it so it will read the links when I put the files on the disc?

create a folder and place all items include linked items and pictures in the folder. Make sure all links work.
Quit acrobat.
Next go to System Finder and if you computer has a CD/DVD Drive go to File menu and then Create new Burn folder.
Now be careful here, open the folder you just created with you acrobat content. click on one item so that your inside the folder.
Now do Command (Apple/cloverleaf) Key - A, to select all items, drop into the burn folder (be sure you gave the burn folder a name that's used to name the CD/DVC) you created. Now allow the DVD/CD be created. IF you leave the burn folder on the computer you can make multiple Copies just click on it then click burn and insert DVD.
If I am not mistaken you have to click to open the item on Apple. despite rumors about apple . Apple is fanatic about security. One of the things they absolutely ban inserting a disk and starting up right away. Unlike PC's that will automatically start exe files as soon as the CD/DVD are loaded.

Problem with DBMS_DATAPUMP package ,need help urgently!!

I'm trying to export data with PL/SQL DBMS_DATAPUMP package.
But I can't export data properly so far.
If anybody know slutions these case and errors what I explained,
pls help me.
1. when I use ADD_FILE Procedure, and set parameter of file type as logfile
then execute ORA-26535 error code returned as error.
but if I didn't set on filetype that error didn't returned.
2. when I execute package what I made, I could make DMP file but
strange named tables also made on Database which I use.
I don'(t why these table made it.
