Problems with Speaker Dock

Just downloaded latest Ipod software and Ipod Touch no longer plays through my speaker dock or FM transmitter in the car. The dock is powered and I can hear the music through the Ipod's own speaker - haven't tried it with headphones.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

My problem started when I downloaded the latest Ipod software. I fixed it by resetting (pressing home and sleep button for 10-15 seconds) and synching and everything's back to normal now.

  • Problem with Speaker and Headset in Windows Vista

Hi, I just got my Macbook Pro 13" and having problem with speaker and headset when working with Windows Vista (I have installed the driver from bootcamp). The sound very weak if I play music from Itunes or youtube even the volume already full and if i put my headset the sound not coming out. Is there anyone can help me to solve this problem?
    Regards,Edwin

When you post about Windows / Boot Camp, in Mac Pro (workstation) forum where others with a MacBOOK would be more likely to have same hardware configuration, and you won't find Windows drivers on Apple downloads. More like at
http://www.guru3d.com or other sites, or go to RealTek (if that is the type of audio you have).

I have Iphoon 4 and ihave problem with speaker what i have to do?My problem is no body can heir me.
I have got my IPhoon from London U.K. Now i'm in Saudia Arabia

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • I am having problem with speaker the sound is not coming properly from it also the right side hinges

    Hi,
I am having problem with speaker from last few days when ever i tryed to play songs the speaker is not giving sound properly. Secondly the the right side hinges also boken so needed support for both the problems.

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

  • Problem with Universal Dock

    Hi everyone!
I was wondering if any of you guys have had problems with volume adjustment with video iPod when attached to the new dock and stereo. In most cases I have to crank the volume almost to end, but not the all way, because then the sound only comes out of the headphones. As I said, this happens in almost every song. On other the songs - I've found only few - I can't adjust the volume, which I find more pleasing. So I would like to know, is there any way to change those preferences on the iPod, or with some other method?
In case its needed, my iPods firmware is 1.0, which I wouldn't like uprage because of the backlight timer.
    Thanks in advance!

Also have this very frustrating problem. Completely fine playing audio out through iPod touch 2nd Gen with 4.0 update connected to universal dock. Now after the iOS 4.0.2 update, no audio from speakers when I connect to universal dock (headphones and internal speaker work fine), the volume slider disappears when I connect the iPod to the dock and the TuneIn Radio app says "No Volume Available". Hardware volume buttons and apple remote have no effect.
Resetted settings, downgraded back to iOS 4.0.1, restored to factory nothing seems to work. Strangely enough, tried connecting a friend's 2nd Gen ipod touch which hasn't been updated to ios 4.0 (it has 3.1.3) and the same thing: volume slide goes away when connected to dock, and no audio out from speakers. Speakers are good, tested them separately.
Could it be that the ios 4.0.2 update screwed up the universal dock firmware?

  • IPod Touch not working with speaker dock

At the moment I've been having problems with my speaker dock. Its a Goodmans clock radio and I've always been able to play my music from my touch through it. Yesterday I tried it but now no music comes from the actual speakers. I assumed it might be a bad connector on my touch but it's still charging perfectly by being in the dock so it can't be that. I also tried it on another speaker dock of a different make in case that was a problem but again there's no sound coming through the speakers just throught the actual ipod. Is there any way I could have accidently changed the settings on my ipod or is anyone else getting this problem ?

I'm having a similar issue with my iPod Touch (4th Generation). I place it on my old Apple dock (bought in 2007) and it can only charge/update. When I connect it to my speaker system through the dock's "Line Out" jack, the iPod plays through its own speakers. Is there anything I can do to correct this? Thank you in advance!

  • Using iPod touch with speaker dock

I put my iPod touch on my speaker dock, and it connects and charges. But, the music just comes out of the iPod and not the speaker. How do I get it to come out of the speaker?

Make sure the iPod is correctly sitting on the dock. I had exactly the same problem with my iPhone. Try moving your iPod around abit while its sitting on the dock, moving it forwards and backwards slightly. Overall your more than likely to have to take your speaker dock back where you bought it from, or buy a new one.

  • Problem with ipod dock and apple remote

I have a problem with my apple remote and my 5th gen ipod on a dock. I set it up and plug it into a TV, yet when i get into a music video playlist- it will only play 4 songs (the same ones) and then go back to the song selection screen. The same thing happens in the movie "tab" as well.
    Any ideas?

    btabz,
Thanks for your response. No the iPod doesn't respond at all--the volume display doesn't come up or change.
When I press the play/pause or either skip forward or back on the remote, the iPod, while on the dock, lights up and responds to the command as it should. But when I press volume up or down on the remote the iPod does not respond at all.
According to Apple's store info on the remote, the volume up/down controls should work. I am wondering if maybe it doesn't work with the 3Gs for some reason. But if that is the case, Apple should indicate that. It is kind of frustrating to not be able to adjust the volume.
    Thanks,

Hi, StarrDutches. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community! Let's try to resolve it. Does your phone run with the latest software? Were you able to set your phone via speaker mode while you're in a call? Where are you located, btw? It seems that you're trying to use some of the speech commands, right? You may check this link to see if you're current region is included from the list: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/wp8/basics/feature-and-service-availability. You may also update the phone's system apps from the Settings > swipe left, applications > store > check for updates. Keep us posted.

  • C5 problem with speaker

i have a problem with the volume of the speaker . when im talking to someone i can barely hear them . the volume is really really low . and i have it turned up to the max and yet its still really low
whats wrong with it ? n how can i fix it ?
i never updated it before im running 0.31.22 firmware

Could be the ear-piece problem in the phone, have you tested with the loud-speaker and is the volume same?, just to make sure the network reception isn't dodgy.  If you find this occuring frequently take it to a Nokia care center and get it checked.

  • Problem with speak

I have SB Audigy 2 ZS and Genius SW 5. Home Theater speaker system. I've connect it through ac3 input 2 (on speakers) with din-3x3,5mm jack cable to soundcard. But my subwoofer don't play..and when I use a reduction cable for sbw/cen cable then my subwoofer plays and my center speaker don't play..

No, but it's DIN (probably) to 3x 3,5mm jack cable. It was in the package with speakers. And reduction cable was also there (on reduction is written: if u have problem with sound from center or subwoofer use it and probably it will be ok).
Reduction cable is jack 3,5 input to jack 3,5 output...this is answer from Genius tech. support:
,,It seems that there is a problem on your soundcard. There is only one channel output of your sub/center instead of two channels from your soundcard. So when you use the reverse cable, then the output channel will be also reversed. '', but soundcard is OK, i think.
I haven't swapped the cable, but i think cable is ok.
I've found a lot of the same problems in discussing forums on the same configuration...
    Thanks for help.

  • Nokia Lumia 920 voice input problem with speaker o...

My voice input doesn't seem to pick up any sound while having the speakers on. The voice recognition doesn't work, it just says that i didn't hear anything. I'm having the same problem with soundhound, skype and turning speaker on while calling. Someone else having the same issue?

I have the latest Nokia update, and the latest Nokia system apps from the store, i've used the reset sometimes when my phone freezes but the problem's still there. Its really annoying.
I sent my phone on service about a month ago because of another issue, they said thet they changed the motherboard, and that's when this problem started to occur.
I've seen other people on the net with the same problem, but it looks like it's a rare problem.

  • Problems with speaker/sound.

    Hey Apple Community,
After using mostly head/earphones to listen to media, i.e., iHeart and Netflix, the volume +/-, and speaker do not work.
The only way I can hear any sound is by taking the head/earphones plug in & out.
I used compressed air and reset many times without success.
I do not have problems with phone calls.
    Any ideas? Thanks very much.

    hello.
sounds like your computer is defaulting to "optical out" when you're removing your headphones.
go to "system preferences" > "sound" > "output" > then select "internal speakers", and give that a try?
