Problems with Swedish Locale

In iOS 4 the time format changed in the Swedish Locale from "09.43" to "09:43".
Was there a good reason for this or is it a bug?
The swedish way to separate hour from minute is with a period (.).

We have a problem with 'Edit Locally' command since we are using Windows Authentication. Our architecture is:
SAP EP 6.0 SP2 Patch 28 (Solaris)
IIS Proxy (Windows 2003)

If we access to SAP Portal using old url (directly to Solaris) using form-based authentication we do not have any problem with 'edit locally' command.

Now, we have tested with version 1.5.0_01 plugin version but the result is the same: 'Operation failed'
This is a very important topic to solve before installing Windows Authentication in a productive environment.

Problem with a local listener...

Hi there,
I have a problem with a backup system on Oracle using the Enterprise Manager.
The story is that, if I create a backup file on a computer that is not joined to any domain or has local users there is no problem to recover the backup. The problem begins when I try to do this process on a domain controler, even though that the local listener is working, the arrow is pointing down saying the listerner is unavailable, but still the other database that I use is able to comunicate to it. (I have only one listener on the server.
I have also two node Microsoft cluster environment installed on those two machines and Oracle files are stored on the SAN.

Problems with /usr/local/lib after installing

After I installed Leopard, I noticed that some of my files in usr/local/lib seemed to have disappeared. When I tried to open /usr/local/lib I got the following error: 'lib: Too many levels of symbolic links.' and it appeared that there was also a 'lib 1' directory in /usr/local which had all of my files in it. I managed to fix it using:
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/lib
sudo cp -R '/usr/local/lib 1' /usr/local/lib
Just wanted to give a heads up since this was rather annoying to figure out. Other than this I have very few issues with leopard, so far limited to:
-DivX playback doesn't appear to work
-after login it appears to take a while for finder to start
-a few problems mounting external devices, such as my USB drive and iPhone

Problems with Swedish characters in maps on n95

I upgraded my n95 to the latest firmware, 12.0.0.013 and after that my swedish map shows garbled road and city names, i.e Korsnäsvägen is displayed ad KorsnÃ¤svÃ¤gen. It looks like an international character issue. I also lost my navigation subscription after the upgrade and cant find any info on how to get it back. I've reinstalled the latest Nokia maps app and redownloaded the swedish map several times without any improvement

Problem with reading locale from moduleImpl

I extracted the locale bundle data from module by getViewObjects and I stored it into hashtable,
problem is that i allways get data from default locale and not from users locale settings.

Problem with Swedish language in 10.2.1

Just upgraded to iTunes 10.2.1.1 and my Swedish language setting doesn't work, all product language is still in English. Anyone else has this problem?

I had the EXACT same problem after upgrading to iTunes 10.2.1.1
(exept my danish language settings disappeared and changing "language" in iTunes settings did not work - though I selected "danish").
Your work-around using the "Controlpanel", "Repair" iTunes fixed the problem
and all the iTunes menus are now in danish

Problem with uc-locale-en_GB-8.6.2.1-12.cop selection on unity connection cluster

Hopefully someone can help me out. I'm trying to install uc-locale-en_GB-8.6.2.1-12.cop on our unity connection cluster which is running 8.6.2.20000-2. The cop files successfully installs and I've rebooted the both servers but I cannot select the language anywhere in unity connection administration.
I suspect this is because I'm running 8.6(2a) from the cisco site and not Unity Connection 8.6(2) Engineering Special 12 as per the release notes for Unity Connection 8.6(2a). Are Cisco likely to release language packs for version 8.6(2a)? Otherwise I guess I'm going to have to try and raise a TAC call and get access to the engineering special so I can gain the british langauge back again.

To Install Connection 8.x Language Files from a Disc
Step 1 Stop the Connection Conversation Manager and Connection Mixer services:
a. Start Cisco Unity Connection Serviceability.
b. From the Tools menu, select Service Management.
c. Under Critical Services, in the Connection Conversation Manager row, select Stop.
d. Wait for the service to stop.
e. Also under Critical Services, in the Connection Mixer row, select Stop.
f. Wait for the service to stop.
Step 2 Insert the Languages disc in the disc drive.
Step 3 Sign in to Cisco Unified Operating System Administration.
Step 4 From the Software Upgrades menu, select Install/Upgrade. The Software Installation/Upgrade window appears.
Step 5 In the Source list, select DVD/CD.
Step 6 In the Directory field, enter the path to the folder that contains the language file on the CD or DVD.
If the language file is in the root folder or if you created an ISO image DVD, enter a slash (/) in the Directory field.

IPad enrollment problems with my local server

So,
recently I installed lion server onto an iMac to get mdm going at our business. I created a standalone server that only has local access. All the services are running, fine, and the open directory is also running okay. I set the dns to the following

I can go to https://server.connect-tech.local/mydevices on the iMac that is acting as my server, but when I try to enroll our iPads I can't get to that page to enroll our devices for mdm. Not sure what I'm missing? I thought it was something related to settings in our modem/router, becuase I don't have access to our company's modem/router settings. So, created a local network without any internet access, disabling all firewalls, and configuring it to function as a DHCP server. I setup a wifi network that the iPads and the server were connected to at the same time. But still, the iPads and iPhones won't get into the mydevices page.
Any ideas? I have a feeling its something simple that I'm missing. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks!

Don't you think it might be a good idea to find out what kind of IOException you're getting? At least display ioe.getMessage. showMessages will take an Object array instead of a single string so you can do:

after I change the Home and Local interface I get a message when compiling saying that the bean has to implement the inherited abstract method javax.ejb.EJBLocalObject.isIdentical (EJBLOcalObject) and the mothd isPrimaryKey()...why is that, do I need to implement these methods?

Problems with certain mail attachments after moving them to a different folder in Mail

I am using Mac Mail as my default email client, and every once in a while when I move a message with an attachment from one folder to another (for example from my Inbox to my Personal folder) in Mail, the attachment will no longer show up, but rather an infinite set of characters.
I know it's a problem with my local Mac Mail client, since:

Get info on the drive. What format? FAT drives may be behave erratically for heavy-duty use of the kind you are doing. It's okay to leave a flash drive FAT formatted for light use but for heavy-duty file transfer I think you can encounter issues.
iTunes does not look at files directly. It maintains a database (library.itl) of the files in its collection. When you play a track it looks up where that file is located and goes and plays the file in that location. If you manually move a file or folder used by iTunes that database is no longer correct and you get broken links ( ! ). If you want to move files or folders with iTunes you have to let iTunes do it. Since iTunes is organizing your library there isn't much flexibility in what you can do other than move the whole collection to a different folder by changing the media location preference in preferences.

Well, using UNICODE for upload/download files I think is most suitable way. If in AL11 you don't see it being displayed correctly (odd characters appear), that doesn't necessary mean it has wrong encoding set. Maybe AL11 is using different decoding type by default. Normally storage of file on AS is not its final destination, right? You place it there i.e. for customer's job to read it back and send via email. So just make sure that downloading program uses same decoding you used for encoding (UTF-8). Then the characters in the output stream (i.e. frontend file, mail body) should be displayed correctly
What I mean is don't worry how it is dispalyed in AL11, just ensure that after you download it, the characters are correctly decoded.
PS: Make sure that you metion encoding type explicitly both for upload and download programs

Problem with currency fields

Hi,
My international settings are set to Turkish locale. I created a spreadsheet and defined a column as currency. Turkish currency symbol is YTL. When I want to make calculations using cells on that column, I get "+The operator "*" expects a number but the cell contains string+" error. Numbers doesn't understand that YTL is the currency symbol and prohibits any calculation. If I change the locale to U.S.A, and define the same column as currency, i can make calculations on this column. Does anyone has the same problem with different locale?

If with this setting I enter Numbers, type 123 and apply the currency format, the cell displays
TRY is the official ISO 4217 symbol but it's not the system setting and it is not treated as a currency symbol so the cell is treated as a string.
If I enter the Inspector and select "livre turque (TL)"
the cell is treated as a number.
Funny isn't it.
