Problems with the e-mails SKY send collapsing my Microsoft Outlook

I have been forced to unsubscribe from SKY's e-mails as they collapse my Microsoft Outlook multiple times and I have to keep closing and re-opening it at least 6 or 7 times in order to get it into my delete box and delete it.  This has happened the last 4 or 5 times I have received the weekly e-mail from them and I said if it happened again I would unsubscribe.  It has just happended and I have.  They never used to do this so why am I having this problem now?  Does anyone else have this problem?  A good way to get all your subscribers to refuse to receive your offerings.  All large organisations make it impossible to contact them, so no way to let them know other than here.  If they sort it out they can let me know and I'll resubscribe, but not until.  They suggest I keep up with everything on Facebook or Twitter, except I do not and have no intention of using said platforms.  I have subscribed for nearly 25 years, mostly the full package.  I despair.

    I had this same problem with both my imac and mac book pro using hotmail via mac mail with bt as my internet provider. Suddenly 4 months ago out of nowhere i could receive emails but could not send them. I scoured all the threads followed all the fixes none of them worked. However I just phoned apple support and fixed it in a matter of minutes. I am SO happy. This is what the technician advised me:
    Go to your apple icon and scroll down to system preferences. Then dependant on what machine you have it is different for my imac and mac book pro click on either air port/wifi then the advanced tab in the bottom right hand corner. Then click on the DNS tab. Hit the + sign on the left hand side and type in 8.8.8.8 then hit the + sign again on the left hand side it will create a new line underneathe and type 8.8.4.4 then hit okay on the bottom right and then hit apply, again on the bottom right. Then send a test email to check but it should be fixed.
    Had to share this. Its been driving me mad for months.

  • IOS 5.0 - Problems with the feature "Mail"

    Gentleman,
    I installed the new iOS 5.0 and suddenly two problems appeared in my "mail" featured. I have a google mail count in my iPhone:
    - Appeared 2 Inboxs for the same mail, and both inbosx received the same messages. I could not delete this second mail box.
    - The messages in my Inbox does not show "from", just "to" and I can not put the message to "unread" or change anything. The most strange that the messages that I received become messages that I can send to others.
    I tried to restart the mail in the configuration, I tried to restart all the iPhone to return to factory configuration and the software return to iOS 5.0 and with the same problem.
    Anyone have the same problem? Any toughts?

    Im having the same issue. It didnt happen right after the update. I updated at 1pm and it happened at 9pm. My memory is still there for them when i plug it into iTunes but the memory is now under "other" instead of apps.

  • Problem with the Date format and sending it to R/3

    I have an Adaptive RFC application which fetches the data from the R/3 and displays the Employee's Personal Data.
    I am using a ZFM which is customised as per the requirement from the Standard BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDATA.
    Now the Problem i am facing is Date is default and Optional Parameter in RFC.
    If i execute the RFC in R/3 without Date it is not filling the Internal Tables. And if i pass the Date it is filling the Internal Table and fetches the Records.
    So in WD application i am inputing Employee FirstName, LastName or the Employee ID.
    User can give any of the above input or combination of FirstName and LastName Or only the Employee ID.
    Now the Main Problem is of Date which is of type Date.
    I have also tried the SimpleDateFormat Class, but i am not able to achieve the result.
    I have also seen the Links and threads on SDN, but unable to solve the problem.
    So pls help me out asap.

    Hi ,
    By default , RFC accept date format of SQL date (yyyy-mm-dd) . If you are using a date picker from WD, it directly set the date in SQL date format. Incase if you are trying to pass date to RFC in some other way you have to convert that into SQL date format before passing.
    if you are passing String date of format dd-mm-yyyy , you try this method to convert that to SQL date and pass to your RFC.

    Hi All,
    After several hours and a short night of sleep I'm out of ideas and hopefully someone here can help me trying to solve this one. First of all the situation:
    Exchange 2013 on a remote location with a CA-certificate.
    Outlook 2010 and 2013 on different locations, locally installed and on RDS.
    When I open Outlook on my laptop all is fine, no errors, good sync, no problem. But when I open Outlook on our Remote Desktop Servers with Outlook 2013 I'm getting errors like "There is a problem with the security certificate of the proxy server. The
    name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site. Outlook is unable to connect to this server. (Error code 18)". Opening Outlook 2010 the message is the same, but the error code now is 38.
    After this Outlook opens and is working, there's one more error though. After a while an security warning pops up with the message: "Information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed or changed by others. However, there is a problem with the
    site's security certificate. * The security certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust. View the certificate to determine whether you want to trust the certifying authority. * The security certificate is valid. * The name on the security
    certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site."
    Strangest thing is, it is the certificate of my RDS! It isn't my valid en officially bought certificate from my mailserver. What's going on? I'm out of options, what I've tried so far (in random order):
    - restarting mailserver and AD;
    - restarting switches;
    - restarting routers;
    - restarting RDS, AD and all other servers;
    - bypassed proxyserver for RDS;
    - created a new profile;
    - checked recently installed updates;
    - checked certificate on mailserver;
    - checked RDS on a different location, working fine.
    Nothing helped, what can I do next? Please advice.

    The first message can be suppressed by adding this to the Exchange config:
    set-outlookprovider -Identity EXCH -CertprincipalName msstd:webmail.domain.tld
    set-outlookprovider -Identity EXPR -CertprincipalName msstd:webmail.domain.tld
    Giving the command get-outlookprovider, gives me empty information regarding the certprinipalname. Filled
    this and after recreating the profile or deleting the ost-file I still have the second alert with the local certificate of my RDS.
    Not completely where I want to be, any help regarding the second alert is greatly appreciated!

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

    Maybe you should test these things before calling people out, because these settings do function perfectly well.
    iCloud is not supported on Snow Leopard or lower, why bother to mention it?
    The OP has an iCloud account, and that can not be opened without Lion or Mountain Lion (on a Mac), IOS5 or 6 (on an iPhone/iPad)

    Are you using either cc or bcc? Is googlemail involved? Some email providers suppress cc's and bcc's to oneself since you will have a copy in your Sent folder.

    Also if I go to system preferences accounts and re-enter the password it fixes the glitch sometimes.

  • Strange problem with the mail app on an iPad

    I've got a bit of a strange problem with the mail app on an iPad - it's sending and receiving mail ok but won't let you delete mail. If you keep at it, it appears as if you have deleted mail (though takes a very long time as you just have to keep deleting it over and over again) -  but the size of the app still keeps going up - reached 600mb so far, even though there is hardly any mail or attachments (goes up quite a lot each time you try to delete anything) - any idea what's causing this and how I can fix it?
    It occasionally comes up with a dialogue panel saying to check my account settings, but I have checked those and they are fine. The little 'loading' icon just keeps spinning constantly too.

    go to Settings > Mail > your account > Advanced > Move Discarded Messages Into 
    and make sure that Deleted Mailbox is ticked, and not Archive Mailbox
    You can also adjust how long the deleted mail stays in the trash immediately below that.

    No, the senders are in most case sending from corporate servers which are almost certainly not Mac based. Also, remember this happens when I send or receive. So if I send something with an attachment, the attachment will go through, but the sent box will not show the paper clip icon so that I can distinguish the emails sent with attachments versus the emails sent without attachments. I receive the attachments as well, but again the paper clip icon does not show up so that I can distinguish the emails that I have received that contain attachments. Recipients of my e-mails have complianed that when they receive an attachment from me they do not see the paper clip icon which alerts them to the fact that the email contains an attachment.

    Since I installed both Iweb 09 and Snow Leopard, there is a problem with the "mail me" buttons on my websites. Nothing happens when i click on it even if i see my web adress when my cursor is on the button.

    I checked your site and found that the mail me button was not overlapping or touching any other object and positioned entirely in the footer of the page. All looks good and it works for me. You might try moving the button, logo and counter to the bottom of the page content section, publish and see if that makes a difference for those computers that can't.
    Try the following on your Macbook, open Safari, clear the cache (CommandOptionE), load your site and try again. If that makes it work for your MB tell your friends to clear their caches and try again. Might be something as simple as that.
