Problems with the screen not reacting to my touch

Right before my problem happened, I was facetiming with my friend. Then I press the home button to do my password to unlock my ipad 2. However, when I try to do it, my ipad won't react when I touch it or scroll it. I tried reseting my ipad 2, but i have to scroll the button to do that, but that was the problem. I can't move anything on the screen. The buttons work just fine, so I don't think it is broken. Plz help sombody!
I have an extra problem that isn't related to apple, but i'm just putting it anyways. When I turn on my laptop, it just stops on the black page where the words come out right before the user screen. I tried turning it off, waiting for it, asking the people from the company about it (kinda), but it doesn't work. My dad thinks that the hard drive is broken or something, that was why, he said, that it couldn't get pass to the user screen. If that wasn't it than I hope somebody could explain it. Why did I put this here? I just have a feeling that it's not broken.

Did you reboot the iPad?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Has anyone else had a problem with the audio not keeping up with the video when switching to full screen on YouTube?

Hi. I have a OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.1 Mac Book Air, Processor 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
Has anyone else had a problem with the audio not keeping up with the video when switching to full screen on YouTube?
The video starts out fine, but if I click on the expand icon in the lower right corner of the screen the audio won't keep up.
Refreshing the page don't help at all. In fact, nothing seems to help once it starts.
I did not have this problem at all using Mavericks. The problem started after installing Yosemite.
    Any way to fix it?

only $99, i thought it was closer to $175.

I am having problems with the screen. the graphics look like infrarred and there are stripes in the Blue screen i am using now.

If Demo's suggestions don't help, and the iPad is out of warranty, try giving it a solid smack or two on the back with your knuckles or your palm. Hit where the Apple logo is or just above it, and be firm but not harsh.
Something internal might be a touch loose and a good smack or two may sort things out

  • Problem with the screen

    Hello everyone,
I've recently updated the firmware for my MacBook Pro (Early-2011) along with the iTunes update. Since yesterday, I've been experiencing problem with the screen. When the screen dims, it doesn't come back to normal when I move the cursor or type on the keyboard. Instead, it takes about 25 seconds to come back to normal.
Same thing when the screen goes to sleep, it doesn't come back to normal instantaneously when the cursor is moved!
This problem only started to occur after the latest firmware update. What is the problem and is there is solution?

    Sam,
The AppleCare warranty does not cover accidental damage, including dropping. You can try resetting, or restoring, but I think you'll need to try a 3rd party iPod repair service (www.ipodresq.com, for example).

I'd take it into my local APple store and have them look at it. There may be something wrong inside your device.

I have a problem with the screen. my cat pressed a few buttons and everything is displayed in reverse. What shall I do?

Pick up Garfield and quickly swing him/her over the keyboard once or twice.
    Set the cat down.
    Try the keyboard.
If no luck, then the catscan failed.
    I couldn't resist...............

  • TS3274 i have problem with the sound not working

i have problem with the sounds not working

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod/Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

  • I have an IMac running the latest level of Lion.  Since installing Lion and also being forced to replace the hard drive I have a problem with the screen intermittently go all white.  Happens about 8 to 12 times a day.  I am using Wild Blue as my ISP.

I am looking for anyone in the west Tennessee area using Wild Blue along with Apple IMac who is having a problem with their screen going complelely white every so often.  Have had the maching into the Apple store in Memphis.  They could not get it to fail.  Help

TutorDaddy, if this Mac is still covered by the initial warranty or under AppleCare, take it in and have it looked at. As the old label used to say, there truly are "no user serviceable parts inside." Kernel panics very usually indicate failing hardware.
I have an older iBook G4 that started developing kernel panics and like you, despite reinstalling the OS from a freshly formatted volume, they kept continuing. I looked at the crash log and saw that in each instance of panic, the last bit of code to be accessed had something to do with AirPort. Knowing that the AirPort software was at then current levels, I surmised the problem to be a bad AirPort networking card which, on that particular model of the iBook, was a very small module attached directly to the logic board. Since the computer was out of AppleCare, I broke the machine down myself (I didn't realize that there could be so many barely visible screws in one machine) and removed the offending piece of hardware. My iBook lives but without WiFi, it now sits as a more or less desktop machine needing an ethernet connection to stay connected to a network.
I do not suggest you break into your iMac. First of all, I'm guessing one would need to be able to pull off the glass and have the necessary glue to reattach it, which is not really available to us consumers. If you're feeling adventurous enough to read the crash logs from each panic, you might be able to surmise the hardware component (or badly written application or library; it can happen) that's causing the panic. If it's a software issue, remove the offending software app and see if the panics return. If it's a hardware issue, it's best to let a competent service tech qualified on Apple hardware to handle it.

After browsing through related problems in the discussions, I saw this link to a third-party web site being handed out. Perhaps you'll find it useful: http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/kernelpanics.html

  • Problems with the screens?

I don't know if it is bad luck or lack of quality in the making of Apple products. Lately every time I have obtained a new ipod, phone, or computer from Apple the screens are not functioning right or there is a problem with the main system itself (cannot go to home screen). Is this a normal problem or is it just bad luck? Whatever the case the amount of new broken products I have recieved is not okay.
(ipod classic, Iphone 4, Macbook pro 13 retina display)

    tell Apple directly: http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • Problems with the screen imac version 10.6.8

I just had a problem with my screen. iMac was working ok,  I woke up for 5-10 min and when back the desktop screen was blurred and brilliant, cannot see it clear enough. Don't know what the problem is and how to solve it. Thanks.

Reset the NVRAM/PRAM and Reset the SMC.

  • A VERY weird problem with the screen?!!!

Ok, first of all, I apologize for the title of the question above, it was difficult to put my problem into words.
I use the Instagram app a lot on my 3 month old retina iPad.  I have pressed the little thingy on the bottom right of the screen that reads ( x2 ) and always use the app in this bigger form.
When I brows the internet or read a book I have no problem, but today when I opened a picture with a dark brown color I noticed that there are parallel vertical lines on the screen that are of a lighter shade. I naturally though it was a problem with the picture so I checked it on another one and they are still there. Very faint and hardly noticeable but THERE.
    Now to the big surprise.
I realized the vertical lines are a faint outline of the Instagram app!!!!!!! The lines match the lines on the popular page (or people's accounts) where the pictures are placed in columns, the parts that are black between the pictures? Those perfectly match the faint lines on my screen!!!
    Guess what.
After a few minutes of shock I noticed that there is even a faint outline of the home button too.
    WHAT is this?
    What could have gone wrong?
My iPad has never been dropped, never in contact with water, never over heated, never opened....
    WHAT?

I don't know if that will help at all. I just didn't realize that you had it turned on, that may have nothing to do with it, but its worth a try. At least it will be something that you can eliminate.
If rebooting the iPad helped at all, you can consider resetting all settings. When you do that though, you must re-enter all of the device settings again. It's sort of a pain to have to reset all of your customized settings and it will take some time, but it doesn't erase any data. It does mean that you have to re-enter WiFi passwords, turn Siri on agai, allow apps access to location services and photos .... All of that good stuff.
I hope for your sake, thatit's just some weird anomaly going on with the screen right now and that it will correct itself. You could try closing all apps in the recents tray, restart the iPad and see if the ghosting goes away. That's harmless enough to try.

  • Fixing the problem with the Device Not Recongized by WMP and Mediasource problem with MTP devi

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING!!! I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE MANY OTHER FAILED SOLUTIONS BUT YOU HAVE TO READ THROUGH MY WHOLE POST TO MAKE IT WORK!!!TRUST ME!!!
ok, now I read this a billion times, and felt that I was the only idiot that had a "bad" computer that didn't allow me to use my Zen mtp device... but it turns out I was more idiotic than I thought. I hope this helps those who have the same problem I had...here goes...
When you go to the Creative Labs website, go to Support, then Knowledge Base, then go to the MP3 players picture in the PRODUCT CATEGORY and click on it. You need to follow the steps that are described on the SID0053 Product Article. Then click on the Editing the System Registry link towards the bottom and it will tell you what to do...BUT there is something that I never ever did right and I bet lots of other folks didn't do right either. Once you are in the USB Properties seccion of the registry, YOU ACTUALY HAVE TO ADD THE WORD "EVERYONE" INTO THE ALLOWED SECCION!!! Not just because it says "Administrators" and what not means that EVERYONE IS ALLOWED, allow the word "everyone"thne click OK. Now, I did this with my Zen Touch on and plugged into the USB port and without the word DOCKED on it, as it wouldn't dock for me before this. that's it... hope it works for you, if it does then almost instantly the word DOCKED should appear on your MP3 player's Display. Hope that everyone has the same luck as I did. if not, I'll pray for you, I know how frustrating this problem is because I delt with it for toooooo long.

I had a similar problem with my Zen Touch, but the only symptom was not being able to install MediaSource or the Software Suite. I got the same messages that you did. I was able to use Windows Explorer to add/edit/remove files, but I wanted the Zen Media Explorer so that I could create playlists. After about 2 days of research and trial and error, I ended up fixing it by uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers.
If you don't know how to do that, here are instructions...
I'm using XP SP2, btw, so if you're using another version of Windows, it might be slightly different...
) With the Zen connected, Right-click on "My Computer"
    2) Select "Properties"
    3) Click on the "Hardware" tab and select "Device Manager"
    4) Right Click on "MTP Device" (or MTP Media Player) and select "Uninstall"
    5) Disconnect the player from the computer, wait about 5 secs, and reconnect.
When you reconnect it, the drivers will be reinstalled. Try running the setup again after that.
If that still doesn't work, look for random optional Windows updates, maybe?...esp. PlaysForSure, WMP, or USB/mobo/INF/Chipset driver updates...or maybe when it says "Setup could not detect and portable device on your system. Setup will now install the necessary drivers to enable your device to be detected," it actually <i>is</i> doing something, but it isn't apparent until you reinstall the driver. To be honest, I just don't know. The computer I'm using is only a few months old and I didn't have any problems installing on an older computer.
Oh well. I hope that fixes your problem.
As far as the problem with the 360 connectivity, I'm sorry I can't help you there.Message Edited by potestasx on -03-2006:28 PM

I bought an iPhone in San Francisco and I live in Ecuador, I need a place to claim the world apple warranty in Ecuador, because I have a problem with the screen

There is no "world apple warranty" on iPhones. As paulcb points out, the warranty is only valid in the country of origin. You will have to bring it to the U.S. or send it to someone you know there to get it serviced.

  • I'm having problems with the screen zooming out, extra large font, to the point of not being able to put in my access code or getting to settings.  What is wrong?

My screen chooses to zoom out, out of the blue to the point that I can't access anything. It also does not respond to trying to shrink the screen with my hand motion.

Double tap the screen with three fingers to turn off zoom. If that doesn't work try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.  Then go to settings> general> accessibility> zoom> off.
