Problems with triple so iin same disk

hi, I want any suggestions to solve my problem.
I want to install 2 arch linux in the same disk that i hace windows xp.
my partition scheme is:
sda1 20gb ntfs winxp
sda5 120gb ntfs files and music
sda5 128mb ext3 boot
sda6 4gb / (32bits arch)
sda7 2gb /var (32bits arch)
sda8 512mb swap
sda9 remain space home
sda10 / (64bits arch)
sda11 /var (64bits arch)
The problem are the next.
I installed wxp with no problem, next i installed arch 32 bits with grub
the problem is when i want to install arch x64, y set the mounpoints, set done, select the packages, install them and there i think is the problem.... the sistem told me that the packages are succesfully installed but its done too fast. then when i go to the next step to configure my system, all the files are clean.
when i installed the sistem in the other way, first 64 bits and next 32 bits one, the 64 bits version works great, bit 32 bits one do the same.
any suggestion???

That is single pass.. And I wish they called it 1-Pass to be clear.
It will normally take around 24 hours.. a single pass will either fix it or throw up more errors.

Sorry I am not in the US.. they are not required to give money back after 2weeks.. but they are required to replace it under warranty. A particular retailer may have their own policy.

There is a problem with your airport time capsule disk

Hello,
Since I got my airport time capsule and set it up, I got an error "there is a problem with your airport time capsule disk" and disk is not listed for setup or erase. The LED is flashing amber sine I turned on the first time.
The wifi is working fine as well as the internet connectivity.
I got the device from the online store and was shipped to my address in the states but I opened the box the first time in Saudi Arabia as I left the states immediately after receiving it.
Any advise on fixing this or a near by apple support center where I can get it in for repair / replacement?

I would first suggest that you perform a "factory default" reset on your Time Capsule (TC).
If that fails to remedy the problem, you can obtain technical support from Apple here.

Airport Extreme - problem with usb printer and usb disk

I have Airport extreme with firmware 7.1. I try connect usb disk and usb printer with usb-hub to airport. I can't get disk or printer working. Also try connect only disk or printer without usb-hub to airport getting same problem. How I get disk and printer working with wireless network (windows pc computers)?

- printer seems working fine after installing bonjour printer installing wizard.
- I get error (in windows) when I try print document from word. Error only says "error printing" in status value.
- In airport utility all seems ok. Airport see usb printer "Hewlett-Packard psc 1200 series"
- printer protocol is RAW and driver manufacture HP (also try with microsoft driver)

- Airport utility says "Disk needs repair. Errors were found with a disk connected to your airport base station. please connect the usb disk to your mac or pc and use disk utility or another disk application to repair the disk"
- I have connected Targa usb disk to windows pc and run scandisk and defreg. No errors found in windows. Result..no help for airport

I have a similar problem to your second issue. Tried connecting a Netdisk to the USB port of the Airport Extreme and it also said there was a problem with the disk. Have performed a low level format on the disk and Airport Extreme still complained the disk had a problem.
After unplugging the disk, my route decided to stop allowing wireless connections even after rebooting. Ended up having to hard reset the Airport Extreme and reconfigure it with my old settings to work again.
FWIW, the first Airport Extreme I purchased today only worked on 802.11a and steadfastly refused to work on b/g so had to get a replacement. I suspect Apple's quality control is not quite as good as it used to be.

Urgent - problem with multiple users on same page

I have got an big problem with my app:
when several users are using the same page, the action launched by USER_A affects the page displayed and used for USER_B.
If there is only one user using the page, there is no problem at all.
The webapp is deployed on Tomcat or JBoss and the problem remains the same on both.

In fact, all my page beans are in REQUEST scope...
The only bean in Application scope is the standard applicationBean created by Creator itself.
We use one Bean in session scope which contains another class.
I will try to explain our common process:
- when logging into the app, the session Bean stores user data (rights for using app,...);
- when navigating in the app, the user can search data, modify them and create one (if he has the right to do it);
- to define the screen, we use a lot the beforeRenderResponse();
- when viewing a data, the user can choose to modify it, so depending on the action, the page is in "CONSULT" mode or "MODIFY" mode. In the second one, he can display new gridPanel (as a subform) to populate datatable.
The problem is obvious while using this grid: my grid can disappear if someone else has validated his form before me and if my page goes trough the beforeRender of my page.
It is not really clear. If needed, i can give access to our application to show the problem (and msn adress too to talk about it).

Problems with the CS6 Master Collection disk image (invalid checksum)

I have problems downloading the trial for CS6 Master Collection for MacOS X.
I've tried downloading using the Download Assistant, both as a privileged and an unprivileged user, and have also tried the direct download as both privileged and unprivileged. Each time I've waited until the download was complete before trying to install, but every time the disk image fails to open, complaining of an "invalid checksum".
I've tried mounting the disk image without validating the checksum, but while I can then run the installer, the installation fails due to lack of privileges – again, this is regardsless of user privileges. I've also tried deleting the preferences and cache-files for Download Assistant, but to no avail.
Can anyone confirm that the english version of the CS6 Master Collecion disk image is working and can be mounted without error on MacOS X 10.7? I have now downloaded and re-downloaded the disk image at least eight times, and while I have a fast Internet-connection, this is getting tedious.

I just downloaded the DMG from Adobe.com using the trial and it mounts fine. I was able to start the installation.
I did not get a checksum error or any other error.

Problem with Triple Exponential Smoothing in HANA

I have a problem with one of PAL procedures!
Currently, I am using FORECASTSMOOTHING with Triple Exponential Smoothing from SAP HANA Predictive Analysis Library (PAL). I am working with hourly data and I am testing this procedure only on 6445 records.
I have a problem with cycle parameter that I can't overcome...
When the cycle parameter is setted to 24 (hourly data) I can use only 4267 records from my input table. Even one record more generates error: “Could not execute 'CALL _SYS_AFL.PAL_TSF_TMH(TMH.INPUT_DATA_TS_F, "#PAL_CONTROL_TBL_TS", TMH.PAL_OUT_TS_F, ...' in 383 ms 461 µs . SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: column store error: search table error: [2620] _SYS_AFL.AFLPAL:FORECASTSMOOTHING: [135] (range 2) AFLFunctionFatal exception: PAL error[73001502]:Ahead exception throw out, Check trace for details”.
But when I change cycle to 5 or less I can use as many records as I want. Have you ever had such problem? I hope you could help.

in my PAL code i don't let HANA to presume the time interval, like you said I just sorted rows in my table and I defined cycle (24).
Strange is that my code perfectly works with less than 4267 rows.
Maybe there is some problem with alpha, beta and gamma parameters optimization with more data... but I don't know how to manage it.
This problem only occurs when I try to use Forecast Smoothing with large amount of data, in other algorithms like Double Exponential Smoothing or Triple Exponential Smoothing everything works well. Major difference between this algorithms is alpha, beta and gamma parameters optimization. Only in Forecast Smoothing they are optimized.

Problem with several occurence of same ToolTip

For a test form, I am using Dreamweaver CS4 Spry Tooltip Widgets. In this form, I need to have several occurence of a same Tooltip. All works fine. But there is a problem with the W3C validator, which returns the error: id "sprytrigger2" already defined. Any help to help me on that

An "id" is a unique identifier. Each time this attribute is used in a document it must have a different value. If you are using this
attribute as a hook for style sheets it may be more appropriate to use classes (which group elements) than id (which are used to identify

If you are using true ToolTips, you have a different location for each on your page.
I would not personally worry about the additional variables adding much to your code.
But if you are concerned, and the messages are really all the same, you could do a show/hide and use an absolute positioning:

But if you changed this to class="Okay" and altered the style to suit, remembering to make an item with an id of 'Okay' somewhere on your page, this should work, too. Play around with it. I did not customize this for your purpose. Note that I have a 'close' text link. You would put your text in this div, not necessarily as a link, but you would need a link to close it. I think you will need to add this as a behavior, so you get the appropriate javascript on your page.
I didn't work with this long enough to suit your uses, but you should be able to jimmie around with it to make it work. Because the position is set in relation to the div of the 'trigger' text, you might need to have each 'trigger' in its own div.
Personally, I would go the ToolTip route and let Dreamweaver do my positioning for me.

Ethernet Problem with Multiple users on same Mac

Hi, sorry i advance for my english. I am writing from italy.
I have an imAc with 2 users profiles on it. one profile is administratoe, and the oter a standard user.
I also have a time capsule configured to connect to my network with the ethernet cable. the cable is plugged in the wan pot, the configuration is "bridged" and i use as a router a linksys wifi router.
well. suppsung that i am logging in with one of my users and access to time capsule wirelessly, it shows me the disk content.
i then swith to the other user without logging off the first one and then access time capsule where i see the same folfder and i can access it. so everything works fine.
in the case i connect my mac with ethernet (disabling airort) to my linksys router, ifuser 1mounts time capsule, user 2 can't access it if user 1 does not unmount.
why so?
i need to switch from user 1 to user 2 without logging off, and i don't understand why it works wirless and not with ethernet..

Having problems with my Macbook Air startup disk?

I bought this laptop last spring and lately it's been giving me some problems.
First of all, my startup disk is already full. I only use this as a home computer for schoolwork, photos, music, etc. Not sure if the reason it's full is because of pictures. Does anyone happen to know how many pictures you can out on a Macbook until it's maxed out?
Also, when I try to update the software it tells me I need more storage space. So I tried to get into iPhoto to delete some pictures but it says I don't have permission to "write to photo library."
I apologize if this is too general of a question but I figured I'd ask here before calling Apple for help.

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box markedAllow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:

I am having problems with my 1TB Hitachi hard disk

I recently bought a 1TB hard drive. I formatted is as an Mac OS extended (Journaled). Now when I try to put files into the hard disk, I consistently get the error: The operation can’t be completed because the item “ " is in use.
I have several other hard drives which do not give me any problems.

this may sound like a lot of work, but can you please take a picture step by step(or screen recoding with quicktime player (comes on a mac) and make a video) of each step from opening the hard drive in finder to draging and droping etc.. you can upload to youtube. Im confused why you would get that.

That warning occurs only if you try to create a new Apple ID using an email address already in use. An existing Apple ID can be used with mutiple devices.
What exactly did you do when you got that message?

Problem with multiple instances of same module

I want to call the same module in several different
viewstates. Based on a variable for each viewstate the module
returns different results. Here is a shortened version of my code:

Thanks for the comment. I purposely used the same id in the
example. I need to call the same module in about 10 different
viewstates. I was wondering is there a way around 10 different "if"
statements in my moduleHandler function with lm1.child, lm2.child,
etc.
Possibly some way to write the function with lm(i).child?
Then I give each component a different component name.

Problem with video playback caching to disk

I have a piece of code that opens a netconnection to a FLV
file that is essentially identical to the netstream example in the
online docs (see below).
The video in question is being generated on the fly from a
3rd person app but while it is presented in a SWF running in a
browser it is also automatically being cached to disk. Since I am
generating the video live and do not wish to keep it, I would much
prefer to avoid writing anything to disk (since I will eventually
run out of space if the SWF runs too long). Is there any way to
clear the data in a netconnection or netstream to avoid it acting
in this fashion?

Thats what I thought as well, but the browser (Firefox,
Linux) happily caches until it runs out of disk space. I have set
the cache size in the browser to a small value but it shows the
same behaviour.
Is it making an assumption about progressive download, rather
than streaming?

Problem with burning photo to a disk on MacBook Pro.

I am not able to burn photos from my iPhoto album onto a blank disk. Please someone helps!

I did find the information listed and I tried that. I t worked! Thank you for responding so quickly. What I did was to send photos to finder and burned them to a disk, and that worked perfectly. I am still learning the process. I never had any problems on my old Apple computer.
