        i recently unlocked my phone from rogers to fido, for the first 2 days everything worked fine but it still said rogers network. when i turned the phone on n off again it reset to the fido network but i am unable to view youtube videos (Says : An error has occurred attempting to play media.). i cannot use any of the apps using wifi even tho they worked before the reboot. and i cannot seem to set up my email account.
       i changed the apn to internet.fido.ca using fido as password n username, i went to the fido store, rodgers store n called both there technical support with no help.
         How can i fix this problem, ive searched many different forums but nothing seems to work

You left out one key thing... with Fido, have you registered your BlackBerry PIN on your Blackberry Internet Service account?

Strange Problem with my Blackberry's Email

I have an unusual problem with my Blackberry's e-mail set up. When I get a message from my e-mail account, it shows up in the Messages folder, but in the specific e-mail account's folder, it does not show up at all. I've checked and made sure that all messages is selected for the specific e-mail folder. It is a Gmail account. For some reason, those emails only show up on the 'Messages' section and not the specific email section.
Any help with this issue is appreciated.

Follow up: I've done some investigating and noticed that my "Inbox" doesn't appear under the "Filters" section on the email account. Since this is gmail, should i look into my gmail settings, which appear to be fine, or is there a way I can add my inbox to that list on my blackberry?

Problem with unlock button

I habe purchased blackberry 9320 just a month back (13th May 2013). I am facing a problem wit unlock button. It seems it is by default in depressed state. Currently it is working but can go down any time. I have visited service center and they asked me to deposit the phone for at least 8 days to get it repaired. This is completely unacceptable for a month old phone!!!

As a user-to-user community, no one here can answer your question with any level of authority whatsoever. BlackBerry provides zero front line support to end users, including warranty...all support starts with the carriers, authorized resellers, and authorized service centers, all who can escalate cases into BlackBerry at no charge to the end user.
So, your escalation path is not here, in these forums. Rather, it is through your service center...even if you do not agree with what they have told you. You have no free path by which to bypass them. Your warranty service terms should be governed by your original purchase contract -- if that indeed said that you must leave it with them for 8 days, then that is what you agreed to when you made your purchase (regardless if you feel it acceptable or not now, you nevertheless previously contractually agreed to it).
There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the initial question, since you are bypassing the contract you signed upon purchase. If you wish to investigate that, you can review it here:

But, all in all, from your description, I might not hold out much hope...after all, what you describe does sound like a hardware issue. And just being one month old is not really relevant -- defect can certainly exist, and actually is normally discovered earlier than later. So, from what you describe, it sounds like a manufacturing defect, which should be covered by your warranty (but you may, contractually, have to wait those 8 days if indeed that's what the contract you agreed to states).

Problems with my blackberry!

I have been a blackberry user for many years now and have used my blackberry for work and social purposes. I currently own the blackberry curve 9360 which I had upgraded too in February 2012. I was looking into your blackberry 10 because I am interested in purchasing it because it looks like an amazing phone.... But that’s what I had thought with the blackberry 9360 but since I have bought it less than a year ago with Rogers I have sent it in twice to get fixed. The phone would shut off and reboot itself every 5 minutes and then eventually it didn’t want to turn on. The phone had no water damage nor scratches or even been dropped. It was in perfect condition physically. Both times I had sent it in it came back working worse than I had sent it in.
So on the third time they ended up giving me a new blackberry 9360 to replace the one they could not fix in October 2012. Now I have the new phone and the problems have started again but different ones this time. I can scroll through my albums and everything else in my phone but I cannot scroll up nor down or send pictures to contacts. I can only read enough text that they had sent that fits my screen and the rest I am unable to see. I am very sad that this keeps happening because I loved my older blackberry’s but I can not keep sending my phone away fro two weeks at a time and re-typing in contacts and losing contacts. I need a more reliable phone. I have been very unsatisfied with the blackberry curve 9360 and i’m debating on upgrading to the iphone 5. If instead I was to get a blackberry 10 how would I know it won't have the same failings?"

Problem with unlocked iPhone

MY iphone is unlocked in uk and accepts all sim cards in uk but when i travel to colombia and insert local sim it asks to activate the phone and then says please insert the original sim the phone came with why is this when my phone is unlocked ?

i got my phone on the vodafone network in uk, also they are the ones who unlocked my iphone 5 for me by contacting apple and my phone was unlocked, at the time i checked 4 different uk sim cards in my phone and were all working fine, then i had problem with my iphone kept crashing so took it in to a apple store in uk and the exchanged my iphone for me.
when phone had been exchanged in apple store they gave me unlocked phone, how i know this my carrier is vodafone uk, and i have used my uk t-mobile sim card in there and was working fine, and currently using giffgaff uk sim card which runs on the uk o2 network telefonica. works perfectly fine.
it is now that i am in colombia and inserted sim card from clara previously known as comcel colombia,
and it said - ACTIVATION REQUIRED - when it states that i can see full signal bars for reception and also see the 3G sign.
then states either choose wifi signal or use mobile connection.
i can choose either and have choosen boh options an it states
only compataible sim cards from a supported carrier maybe used to activate iphone. please insert the sim card that came with your iphone
so strange when i can use all uk sim cards in my phone and has been tested by me myself

You contact the wireless carrier to unlock the device. No one else can help you. Only the carrier.

Problems with Unlocking

My iphone is running 4.0.1 firmware and I'm having a problem with the locking feature, which has never happened before.
When I press the lock button at the top of the phone, It locks like its supposed to but then around 10-15 seconds later the screen flashes up and show the slide to unlock screen. if I leave it for a while( around 20 seconds) it locks back again. but then the problem repeats it self over and over again.
Its seriously killing the battery life.
I've tried turning the phone on and off, resetting the settings and even did a factory restore but it still keeps happening.
I'd really appreciate some help~

Problems with the Blackberry enhanced Gmail plug-in

Hi.
I use my Curve 8900 with a BES email account and added to this today a second Gmail account with support of the Blackberry enhanced Gmail plug-in.
But this works not fine, I can not see the sent messages in the Gmail conversations, they simply disapeare after they have been sent (and they have been sent really). The same is with the sent message flag - if I filter this flag, I see no messages, but in the reality they are there. If I look in the sent message folder in my Gmail account from the computer, I see all the sent messages.
Does anybody else have the some experience with the Gmail enhanced plug-in?

I have problems with the gmail plug-in as well. I have a bb 9700 bold and very often my gmail emails don't arrive in the email inbox. They do arrive in the message box (the one that has everything including phone calls, sms, etc.) but the icon that is just reserved for my gmail emails do not receive them correctly. Nobody is able to help me to figure out what is causing this; neither blackberry support or my telephone service provider. Also sometimes once I read a mail, it vanishes from the inbox as well. very strange...

Sounds to me like you don't have a plan that has data on it, or a plan that doesn't include social networking. Call your cell phone company and ask what your plan includes or visit the website and log in using your details and see what your plan includes.

Problem with unlock the Q10 - incorrect password

Hello,
When type the password to unlock the BB Q10 got the following message:
you have entered an incorrect password 5 times. After 10 unsuccessfull attempts your device data will be erased.
with press OK return to the form to type the password, where on the top of the banner have incorrect password 6/10.
when type the password can see that the letters and numbers are correct, however the phone does't except them.
Looks that the device is stacked.
Is there a way to unlock in a diffrent way using default password by typing in the password field?
any suggestion to overcome the problem.

Problem with unlocking and locking the Materials in MARA using idocs.

We are sending a inbound idoc from one cluster to the other to update the materials
If the material is locked ( MARA-MATFI=x ) before it needs to be unlock it ,update it and lock again .
If its not locked ,we just need to update it and lock the material .
When we are trying to implement this the materials are not getting locked at all times .
the update inbound idoc is being sent to 5 clusters at a time .
The same material is getting locked in some clusters and some it is not . (But the data is being updated in all the clusters )
Can you please suggest me a solution or give me an idea where the problem would be lying.

The client has a Keystone Server where alll the Master data is kept and there are 5 Production Servers .
When ever there are any updates to the Materials they are first updated in the Keystone server .
And with the help of a Batch Job they send inbound idocs to the 5 Production Servers.
On the Production servers if the material in MARA that needs to be updated is locked ,it needs to be unlocked updated and locked again .

hi all,
i unlocked the secure-element of 6131phone and in the previous months i am using this phone for installing, deleting and accessing the cardlets inside the phone. But accidentally i tried several times through a java program to access the secure-element with WRONG AUTHENTICATION KEYS. (this happened because i keep the phone near the reader while my program is in an infinite loop.. OOOPS!!!! ) now i am not able to authenticate my host with secure-element. it always return 69 82 code. ie, "Security status not satisfied" state. I think my phone's secure-element went in to TERMINATED state as it is mentioned in the Unlock-midlet readme from nokia.
i have the following questions,
1. is there any way to get back my phone to previous state?
2. another unlocking (with nokia unlock-midlet) will help or create any problem?

Problems with unlocking 8320 - urgent

Hi,
I am leaving to South America in a couple of days and I have to unlock my Blackberry 8320 in order to use a local simcard.
So I have just spent 20 quid on an unlock code on a website called: mrunlock.com. Everything seemed to be fine, the code has been delivered quite fast, I entered the code exactly how the instruction told me to, I got the message the code has been accepted, and still all the simcards I've tried are being rejected!
They sent me 4 codes, 2 of them consist of 6 digits, the other two of 16 digits. So in the Simcard options, while holding ALT, I typed in MEPE, and then just entered the first code, the one that had 6 digits. Now it is impossible to enter any of the other codes again. It's as if the phone has been unlocked; but simcards don't work.
Does anybody here know if I have to set up anything in order for the Simcards to work? Does anybody know what the problem is??
