Problems with updating iphoto in app store

Hi I have just updated my macbook pro to 10.10.1 and now the iphoto needs updating aswell as it says the old version is not compatible now.
so i go to the app store and click install then is says...
Could not complete ypur purchase.
The product distribution file could not be verified. it may be damaged or was not signed.
I can update and install all other apps but not Iphoto.?
I have also tryed to reinstall the system with no joy and also tryed to delete the app store app file through terminal and then relaunch also with no joy.?
Please can any one help?

    I've tried updating iPhoto via App store, and it tells me to sign into the account I used to purchase it. I never purchased iPhoto. It came with my Mac, and I remember clicking "accept purchases" when I was setting it up. Now this button disappeared, and I can't update any of the iLife apps. Ironically, I can't even buy a new iPhoto, because the App Store says it is installed, but it does not appear in my purchases list.   • Problems with installing Xcode through App Store

    Hey guys,
    So trying to install Xcode on my Late 12 Macbook Pro with the ML update for a project with work.
    Everytime I try to install through the app store, I get the Grey Screen of Death. Anyone else having this problem or what could it be? I've had no other problems with installing programs through the App Store.
    I am currently downloading through the developer portal, so hopefully that works.
    Hope someone can guide some light on this.

    Hi, I have Macbook Pro 2010 and it was hurt in accident and I lost top case with screen. I want to use it with external screen. I bought USB WiFi and everything works, but I can't log into App Store.
    I have still got "an error has occurred". I think the reason is I don't have build-in ethernet or wifi card only USB WiFi. Any solution? I was trying everything - help.

    No, account works well, because I can log into iTunes and App Store works well on iPad and iPhone.
    I've read a lot. I'm sure the reason is no airport ethernet card. My problem is I don't know how to force to work App Store with my USB WiFi. I deleted /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist and this doesn't worked.

  • The problem with downloading from the App store

    Welcome. I have a problem with downloading and installing programs from the App Store. I am logged into the App Store, and when I click on install it does not react like the makings download eg OS X Maverics it kind of gets but nothing goes. Button is pressed install like and after a while returns to the state before clicking that is to this that I can to click to start the download or installation of.

    I was checking on the iPhone does not. I wanted to install a new OS X Maverics first and I had an older OS X Lion write it and now wants to download the OS X Maverics and I can not, and the like to log into the App Store.

  • Update iphoto without app store

    Is there anyway to update iPhoto on Lion without using the App Store? I have a room of 20 iMacs, that were bought over the summer. It is not feasible to update the software using the App Store, due to the 10-computer license. I'm trying to update the version of iPhoto (currently 9.1.5) to the latest 9.2.1.
    I used to be able to just download the update and send the .pkg out but obviously this no longer works.

    I was similarly annoyed at having to buy the current version of iPhoto when it came preinstalled on my Mac.  I spoke to Apple support about my '09 version of iPhoto (8. something)  The only way to upgrade was to pay for the '11 version.
    If you are already on 9.1.5, you should get the upgrade free (okay I'm an optimist).  As for the App store, everytime I asked about an upgrade it sent me to the App store.
    Just because you have to go throught the App store, does it mean you will have to pay for the update?
    Does each Mac notify if there are updates?
    Have you tried clicking on the Apple, selecting "sofware updates"?
    Mine does and will install free updates w/o going to App store.  I gather this isn't the case here?
    Just thinking it out.....

    I am an apple user, facing some problem in my apple iphone 4s is that i cant access update option in apple store. I am running with my updated software in my iphone 4s i.e. 6.1.2. Since I have updated the software in my iphone i m facing this type of problem. When I open apple store in my iphone I go to update option it shows me that it is being loading and suddenly it stops for being load and it does not appear a page infact it does not appear that what all application I have to update, it doesn't shows me at all, it only shows me the number of updates that is not yet installed.

    Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore.  Try each of these in order.

    An iCloud acount is tied to the Apple ID, if you have created a new Apple ID then you will need to create a new iCloud account.

    All content that you bought using the old Apple ID is forever tied to that ID can only be redownloaded, updated and access using that Apple ID. Apple does not transfer content from one ID to another and Apple does not merge Apple IDs.

  • Problem with signing in to app store

    Trying to get into the app store, typed in my user and everything but a message saying "does not verify device/computer" popped up.

    Open the System Preferences app and go to the Network section. On the left-hand column in the Network section, select each of the services and remove it by clicking the minus sign on the bottom of the column. You may want to note the configuration for each service listed so that you can reconfigure them later.
    Then, go to ~/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration in your main hard drive and delete NetworkInterfaces.plist.
    Restart your computer and reconfigure each of the services that ou use.

  • Problems with mail and Mac App Store, can't reinstall mavericks.

    I have a 2012 Macbook Air. A while ago, I started getting this message when I tried to open mail.
    Also, when I try to open the mac app store, it looks like this regardless of the tab I choose.
    First, I tried backing everything up through time machine and restoring my mac, but that did nothing. Next, I tried repairing the disk through recovery mode, but it said everything was ok. Lastly, I tried reinstalling Mavericks through recovery mode, but I got a message saying "OS X Mavericks failed to download. Use purchases page to try again." Of course, I can't use the purchases page because it won't load . The nearest Apple store is 2 hours away, so I'd really like to avoid visiting one, if possible. I would be grateful beyond words for any help. Thanks in advance.

    Just to confirm, you can boot into the Recovery Drive by holding down Command R when restarting.
    When you select to reinstall OS X, what happens?
    Fix for missing MAS
    It's possible #1 will do the trick, but you might need to do the additional steps in Keychain access.
    1.  Delete the files /var/db/crls/crlcache.db and /var/db/crls/ocspcache.db. These can be found using Finder’s Go >; Go To Folder menu (Cmd + Shift + G). This resets the cache of accepted certificates in the system. It doesn’t remove them, it just forces the system to rebuild the caches upon restart.
    2.  Open Keychain Access (/Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access). Select Certificates in the Category picker on the left side. In the search bar, type in the word Class. Look through that list, and find any certificates that have a blue + symbol over their icon. These are the ones you need to modify.
    Select one that has a blue +, and hit Command + I. Click the disclosure triangle beside the “Trust” list to show the list of permissions. Now, what we need to do is to set this certificate to use the system defaults. However, for some reason, when you select it, it doesn’t save. So what you need to do is this. Under “Trust”, where it says “Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)”, change the dropdown menu to say “No Value Specified”. Then, close the window. It will ask for your administrator permissions. Then, open the info pane for that certificate again. Under “Trust” again, now set the dropdown that says “When using this certificate:” to say “Use System Defaults”. You can then close out of the info pane, and enter your password again. Do this for any of the certificates that have a blue + on their icon. There should only be one or two at most.
    (Note: I had to toggle the settings before it would stick)
    Restart your system.

  • Problems with updates and the App

    Hi all
    I'm new to the Creative Cloud, and while I'm enjoying all it has to offer I am having some problems. Every time I use the app to update any software, I can't 'update all' I have to update one, quit the app and then re-launch it to run the next software update. As you can imagine this is frustrating and time consuming.
    Has anyone else had this problem, or is a common issue? Any advice or a point in the right direction would be welcome. I've done searches but havn't found what I'm looking for.

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
              SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
    from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
    The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
    Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
    Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
    Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

    My phone won't update the apps or let me download any new ones. Been going on for few days now.

    Many developers are releasing updates today because tomorrow Apple is shutting down iTunes Connect (the developer backend to iTunes) for the holidays. This could be affecting things, but I doubt it.
    You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.
