Problems with using my iPod feature on my iPhone 3GS after upating to iOs 4.3.3 Help!
After I updated to version 4.3.3 I am unable to use my iPod on my iPhone. It says I must sync to iTunes before I can use it. I have my music on two different computers in 2 different cities so I am afraid if I sync to one library I will lose half of my music on the phone.
When I looke in "Settings", "About" on the iPhone it says I have 1,463 songs but yet nothing comes up in my 'iPod. Very frustrating.

Well, I was able to get it to sync by opening iTunes first, and THEN connecting the iPhone. And it does sync but still will not sync with iPhoto. I also unchecked and rechecked the option to "Open iTunes automatically when this iPhone is connected" and now iTunes opens and syncs automatically. But tried the same thing with iPhoto to no avail.
Any ideas for iPhoto syncing?

I can not believe that Apple did not test this for major bugs like this one is.

I had no such issues earlier. I also have Nokia E71 which shows full signal and has no such issues.
I have posted the bug on apple iphone feedback page. I hope they Apple will fix the problem and test the release properly on all models before releasing to public. -

Reception problems with iPhone 3GS after upgrading to iOS 4.2.1
AFter upgrading to 4.2.1, my 3GS iPhone is experiencing bad signal, bad quality and frequent disconnections.
This was repeated even after my provider replaced my device to a different 3GS device, running 4.2.1.
inserting my SIM card to a NOKIA phone, showed strong signal and good reception.
Did anyone experience reception problems on 3GS running 4.2.1??

Hello all,
Some urgent help needed on the 3 problems listed on priority basis, as follows.
P1 -> I upgraded to IOS6.1.2 on my iPhone 3GS last week and all worked fine for 2 days. Then, last Thursday (21st February) evening, the mail app started crashing and is currntly unusable. All efforts to Restart/Reset, have failed.
P2 -> With the SMS app, there is no sound/vibrate available, whenever a message comes in. Pretty annoying!
P3 -> There is extremely heavy battery drain, resulting in the phone having to be charged atleast 4-5 times a day.
On the upside, after the upgrade, the phone works really fast.
Could any of the gurus over her, offer any help or insights please?

I just upgraded 2 iPhone 3GS to ios 6 and on neither one is there an option to "Reply With Message" or "Remind Me Later" when there is an incoming call. There is no little phone icon (like the camera one on the lock screen) that you can drag up to expose the new options. Is there something more that needs to be done to enable these features? I tried changing the 3 canned messages from the settings but with the same result. From what I read this is suppose to be available on iPhone 3GS
Swiping up does nothing, the options do not appear. I tried swiping up all over the screen when a call comes in and nothing. The incoming call screen looks identical to how it appeared in ios 5. My understanding was that with ios 6 there is supposed to be a little phone icon in the bottom right hand corner (similar to the camera icon on the lock screen) appear on the incoming call screen and you swip up on this icon to reveal the options. This icon is not shown on the incoming call screen on either phone.

Problem with using my iPod in my car
My Acura has a USB cord so I can play my iPod through my car speakers quite easily. SInce I have a navi screen am able to see the iPod screen on my dashboard. EVerything works great except for one thing - Podcasts.
For some reason the podcasts don't show up on the screen and I cannot play them. I can play music, but no podcasts.
ANy ideas on how I can listen to podcasts?my only idea would be convert copies of the podcasts to audio files (if they aren't protected files you should be able to use FFmpegX to do this). Sorry I can't be more helpful.

hey i m havin an iphone 3gs 32GB which i tried updating to iOs 6 and i was able to update my device but then its saying failed to activate your iphone install sim and all dat i have a sim installed n ive tried both the methods of activation i.e through wifi and by itunes didn help so i tried DFU thing and restartd the whole procedure ...i have 3 iphones 3gs 4 and 4s i was successful in updating 4 and 4s it was fluid but this is not working in my 3gs it says contact apple support
Did anyone figureout how to fix this issue? Please let me know.

Does anyone share my problem with atv3 I can play films through iTunes without any problems. When I start playing music using the remote app on my iPhone 3GS after around 5 tracks in it just stops playing and seems to lose my connection. Hoping this is human error on my part?
I think this is probably a sign that your network could be better than it is.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. -
I am problems with an older Ipod classic running 1.1.2pc using earbuds with Ipod inline remote. The earbuds work fine with my new Ipod but not the older one. Any suggestions?

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again -

Warranty and support are ONLY valid in the country of origin. The only exception is the EU where the entire EU is treated as one country.
If the device will be used in India, buy it in India.
An unlocked iPhone will work on any supported GSM carrier world wide. The LTE portion of a US purchased, unlocked iPhone is unlikely to work outside North America as it does not support the appropriate bands used in other countries. -
I have two Iphones 5 with different email addresses sharing one Apple ID account.Both are using IOS 8.
I would like to set up a new Apple Id for one of the phones and remove it from the old account.
If I do that, can I move all of the purchased apps and songs to the new Apple account?
Also, will sharing one Apple ID account with two devices cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account. -
Yesterday I updated my iPod tot 1.1
After that it had that crappie bug with the video's, so I downgraded my iPod. After that I updated it again tot 1.1
Now I have a problem with syncing my iPod (video's only).
First I had some series it synced with my iPod, also after the first update. But after the second update it tells me there are some files it couldn't sync. (some videos it did sync btw, and the problem with the sound has gone, I can play movies normal now!)
So the problem is now that it doesn't sync all my movies anymore, and I converted all of them with the same program..

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite C2 and have been using it for years on the same computer without any problems with using it. Recently upon opening Photoshop I received a pop up window saying due to Adobe Software security we need you to activate your CS2 software.
