Problems with video play back on HP webcam HD 2300

Hi,
I just boaught and installed a new HP webcam HD 2300. It works fine but when I play back a video I have recorded (of myself talking into the webcam), the video doesn't keep pace with my voice, so the 2 don't play at the same speed. Any ideas as to how I can correct this please?

Safari with problems with video playing

Hello all,
I am using a new Macbook Pro 13'' with retina display. I have bought it less than 2 weeks ago and it shows it has OS version 10.9.1. Safari version is 7.
When I try to stream videos from coursera.com I just see a black background when the video was supposed to be playing. The audio plays fine, but no video. Has anyone had a similar problem?
Other question, has anyone managed to be able to play more videos from youtube without flash? I haven't installed because I have read it drains battery faster. I have survived without in mavericks, but I haven't been able to play many videos on youtube, only a few, and these cases are rare.

Problem with video coming back from fullscreen: duplicated controls

Hi there!
I'm using the following code to go fullscreen with a video, the video controls are set to autohide.
The problem comes when I close the full screen mode (by button or simply with scape) to normal mode, flash places a new video control that stays over the video and if I place the mouse over the movie I can see the autohiden controls appearing under the new added one.
Any hints?

Hmm, that much I'm aware of...
Is there anything that can theoretically exist in the displayList that doesn't necessarily take up an index?
When I check the index on my main application, there are only 2 items. [0] and [1], yet the [1] component is still being covered up by something...
I tried not hiding the [0] component (visible = true) and I can see it, but there is some kind of overlay over it that restricts me from clicking of the buttons on that component. And the overlay has a partial opacity, which is slightly transparent...
If there is no such possibilty, that would mean that overlay is actually my [1] component... but it is slightly transparent and missing all visual indicators that it IS indeed the [1] component..
This only happens when I come go to fullscreen then come back from fullscreen before the video completes and all those functions run.
The [1] component gets added upon the videoDisplay.COMPLETE event, that fact along with double checking the index confirms that the sharingBookmarks component is indeed on the top of my display stack..
Any clues or directions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

Problem with video play

Why when I go on to website like CNN or you tube. When I play the video. I hear it, but the video won't play or uploaded.

For YouTube you might be better off using the built-in YouTube app, and I think that CNN might have their own apps as well (and any flash videos won't work anyway).
For Safari you can try clearing its cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Your file is MPEG-2 format (playback only) and you'll need to convert it to DV Stream.
MPEG Streamclip (free) and the MPEG-2 Playback Component ($20) are one way to convert the DVD files.

Webcam video plays back super fast speed

hi, does anyone know about this: when i record video from my creative Live! Cam Video IM Pro, the play back is like twice the speed of real life. like a video speeded up. it was working fine on my previous computer, which was windos xp, and i upgraded to a newer computer with windows vista 64 bit, and now the video play back is too fast. i also tried viewing the video on other viewers like windows media and VLC, still too fast.

I think we may be able to say more if you can tell us more about the rest of your code. What sort of structures are you using, and where are you dropping your AVI Capture code in? Is the video sped up on your front panel or when you play the resulting file?
You should post the larger piece of code if possible.

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again

It would help to know what videos you are having trouble with? Are these from specific internet links? Are these playing back commercial DVDs? Are these videos produced by iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or iDVD of home video? Are these videos imported from an external Firewire or USB adapter such as Elgato's devices. You give us little to go on. Please give us more details what is going on?

Video Plays back vertically instead of horizontally

I shot a video with my bloggie touch of a stage show, holding the camera horizontally. My problem is it plays back on the Bloggie and my computer vertically.
Is there a way to rotate this video? Otherwise I can't watch this, and the video is useless.
Any thoughts?

Yes you can shoot video in any orientation, However, for a widescreen movie It is recommended to shoot your video in landscape mode. If you shoot holding the camera vertically, The video will record and play back vertically showing the black aspect ratio bars you see on the above page 17. For widescreen, 1920-by-1080 video, you'll need to shoot in landscape mode, with the screen sideways and the Record button to the left or right.
In order to rotate your existing video you will need to use a video editing software to edit and save. Windows and Macintosh operating systems alike both have basic video editing programs that came standard, or is readily available for download with the software.

Problems with video and iTunes 7.0

I recently upgraded to iTunes 7.0 (and quicktime as well) and everything seems to work ok except the videos I have on my iPod will not play, in fact my iPod shows that I have no videos, but my library shows them and I can view them through my computer; just not my iPod. Any ideas out there?

I'm also having similar problems (audio becomes unsync'd and often playback begins stuttering), but found a work-around. In my case these are video podcasts, so here's what I've been doing. Right-click the podcast and select "Show in Windows Explorer." The file will be highlighted so double-click it to have it played by QuickTime. Some file types may not be registered with QT, so if you get prompted to pick the program to use with the file, select the QuickTime Player.
For some strange reason, the videos play back perfectly OUTSIDE of iTunes 7.0.1.8 (also happened in 7.0). So I don't think it's any of the pat answers that ignore iTunes as a culprit.

I have a problem with video games on Windows 8.1.
On my Windows 7 I could play all games without any problems.
Now I installed Windows 8.1 and I have problems with running video games: lower FPS, game breakdowns and sometimes even texture problems inside the game.
I tried to reinstall both Windows and Graphic drivers. I tried several versions of drivers.
I have Radeon HD 6870 and AMD Phenom II X4 955, SSD disk, 12 GB RAM.
The point is: the same games works perfect on Windows 7 but doesn't work right on Windows 8.1.
Can you, please, tell me if is there any other solution except going back to Windows 7 ?

Since about a week, When I launch a video, it takes a long time to get started, then only the sound starts with no pictures - If I press pause then play the video is played normally. Did anyone face or heard about same kind of issue .
Problem with permission disk errors
After re-installing White Tiger and After I installed the last OSX 10.6.5 update
I found the following problem
Group differs on "Applications / Utilities / AirPort Utility.app / Contents / Resources / wanArrow.png", should be 0 instead of 80.
Last but not least :
My computer seems slow - I have 60gig free on My hard drive and I test my hard drive and everything seems all good .

What was the fix for this? Everything has sucked for my itunes video playback since the last major revision release.

Captured video plays back fast (sped up) in Final Cut Express 4

I had a Panasonic mini-dv digital camera that was stolen and it worked great with FCE. I purchased a JVC GR-D870 (mini-dv) as a replacement and now in FCE when I capture video it plays back fast in the Viewer and if I open the .mov file in Quicktime. Note that the video plays back at the correct speed when played from the camera, and when the video is being captured. I've tried changing my Easy Setup, but nothing has helped much. I'm currently using the DV-NTSC FireWire Basic setting, though it doesn't matter which one I chose. I did try using the 25.00 fps DV-PAL setting and interestingly it will capture for about 2 seconds and then crash, but the 2 second clip I'm left with seems to playback at the normal speed. This is an NTSC camera so not sure how to get the video that I capture to play at the correct speed (frame rate?). Any help would be most appreciated.

Never heard this one before!
I have no idea why it is playing back fast, but if you have an NTSC camera you must use an NTSC Easy Setup.
When FCE behaves strangely the first thing to try is to delete the preferences as described here:-

Video play back choppy

The video play back is very choppy on itunes. I have read two trouble shooting topics about video play back but I don't understand them. I have vista. Do any of you have any ideas? Is the any phone or online support for itunes? I can't find any links tech support.

I understand that you are getting choppy video playback on your HP Pavilion Slimline s7410n Desktop PC running Windows 7. What type of video are we talking about here live streaming? What steps have you taken? Have you tried turning off hardware acceleration?

You need to create a play list of songs that you would use for movies - mine is called Music for Movies. Then when you click on the music icon (the first box in the line of 5 in the grey bar across the lower third of the screen) and a drop down menu will appear showing all your play lists. Then simply drag and drop, but make sure that you hover over the video clip that you want to add the music to. If you don't the music will be added to the start of your presentation. You can always move the position afterwards. NOTE - if you want to add to your play list do it before you start your video editing as the list does not always update when I Movie.
