Problems with vidoes on facebook

This is happening with FF 4 and the previous (at least). After I watch videos on facebook (1 or more), specifically ones from youtube, whether I play them through or stop them, then click a poster's photo, any and all videos played previously, will automatically start playing - simultaneously. Then when I close the photo viewer page, they all start again. Very annoying. The only solution I've found is to refresh FB before viewing photos.

If you are using the app try closing the app completely and then reset your iPad.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Problems with exporting after Facebook export installation

Hi there,
I installed the Facebook exporter app and then discovered my iPhoto is too old (it is iPhoto 4). Thereafter I was unable to export anything because my mac would crash. So I uninstalled the app and since then my normal export button is missing. I found a forum on this site, where the same problem was solved, but this was for someone with iLife 08 and required a reinstallation from disk.
The problem is, I bought OS X 10.5 recently but not iLife, so my iPhoto etc is from the old days. I would be totally, infinitely and unbelievably grateful if someone could help me out here, because I currently cannot export anything from iPhoto. Which disk do I use for reinstallation? When I bought my mac it had 10.3 on it. How do I reinstall iPhoto when my operating system is new? Help!

Thanks for that - unfortunately I have lost disk number 1 and can only find disk number 2. Honestly, I never thought I'd need them, and they've been packed and unpacked at least 4 times since I bought the computer.
I am trying to get the disk from mac friends - I'll see what happens. If anyone knows how to get hold of these old disks, or another work-around, I'd be very grateful...

Problem with captions on Facebook App

Hi, I have a good friend who has a BB 8310 whose is with T-Mobile UK, who has started to notice a rather puzzling problem when she uploads pictures she's taken with the phone's camera to Facebook via the phone's Facebook App. When she does this a caption which reads: "Do you know this office? Do you know this office? Do you know this office? Do you know this office?" is added to the pictures without her doing anything. A quick search just now yielded another 8310 user, again on T-Mobile UK who reported the exact same problem to Crackberry's forum on the 29th of October last year but no-one seemingly had any idea why it might be happening & I notice another girl has reported the problem on Facebook itself just four days ago. I did once. I had a strange problem happen once where it would leave some of the pages blank where you could see your friends statuses and new photos, without having to go into their profile. The problem started before I did the recent itouch update, but has grown in the number of profiles afterwards. But I have not reinstalled it after I did the update I bought. Could that be it?

Problems with YouTube and Facebook Videos

Error message something like 'Unable to play video, please retry'.. and that's for ANY video and no matter how many times I retry it fails.I have been having this problem for weeks with both YouTube and Facebook, and both apps have been updated a few times in that time. The last few days I had a notification to update to latest firmware, so today I updated then completely factory reset even erasing data.. And still the problem persists. It's really annoying... Only way to get it to work is reboot the Tablet. Clearing cache and data does not work. I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..
Before repairing your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.

Problem with pages containing Facebook links

At the school where I teach, Facebook and other social networking sites are blocked by the school's server. Any time I open a web page in Safari containing a link to Facebook, I get a pop-up, which I immediately dismiss. This can happen dozens of times a day, and is annoying. What is confusing is that Google Chrome does not exhibit this problem; i.e., no popups appear on the same pages. Is there a way I can get Safari to avoid doing this?

If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server, so be prepared to restore the previous settings if that happens.

Having problems with flash and facebook applications

i have been playing battle pirates on facebook. when i try a go to full screen veiwing it locks up. The last time it did it my veiwing area for the game was shrunk and now the images are overlapping. I need help to get it back right. I have thenewest flash installed and im useing windows7 64 bit

When you say locks up, are you talking about the page, the browser or your entire system? Which browser are you using? IE9? You might want to try disabling hardware acceleration (see step 1 on this page) in Flash. If that doesn't help, and you're using IE9, then try disabling GPU acceleration and see if that makes a difference.

Problem with vido attatchemnt for keynote (ipad)

I downloaded a video. It shows up and plays in my ipad under the video tab. But, I cannot find it under media in my keynote (ipad). Anyone knows why?
This is the first time i am trying to get video in my keynote presentation on my ipad.

Did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same problem. I move a movie into iTunes, convert it for iPad use, drag it to the iPad, and it places it in the videos folder.
From what I can tell Keynote doesn't recognize media stored any place other than iPhoto. Problem is I can't get it into iPhoto to sync it. I can create a folder on my desktop, call it video, and drag that file over. The add sign shows up when it reaches the folder, but it doesn't actually copy it. So there's not apparent way for me to actually utilize video in Keynote for the iPad.

Problem with generating thumbnails for Facebook

After yesterday's Business Catalyst failure (Intermittent site loading issue on all data centers) we have a problem with thumbnails for Facebook.

Until yesterday, every published text was getting into debugger (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/). Debugger fetch the image creating a thumbnail. Everything worked as it should.
Unfortunately, after yesterday's failure thumbnails are no longer generated. In place of the thumbnail is a white spot, like in the picture below. Can I do something to thumbnails work again?
We are using Adobe Muse (2014.1).

Just a word of warning about this facebook tester, facebook caches results for sometimes upto 48 hours, so if index the page using facebook then make a change on a page then reindex most of the time (in my dealings) it looked the same, I had to throw different querystring information into the URL or use different URLs to make it look different to facebook and get a fresh (re)index and for it to pick up changes.

Hello. I have problems with loading the Facebook log in page. It's been a day. Every time I try to go to the website, it reads,

Chat facebook problem with konqueror[SOLVED]

hello i have a problem with konqueror in facebook .i cannot chat with my friends .chat shows a message that the connection to chat cannot be accomplished .check you internet connection.i changed the indetification to firefox but the problem continues.i updated the system before two hours if this helps.

Problems with Facebook on C5-00

I have some problems with the software "Facebook" pre - installed on my C5-00;
Every time it's not showing all the contact or the home page ...
I try to find it on the ovi store without success;
If I try to connect to facebook over the browser it seem to be no problem;
Where can I found the app in order to try to re-install it ?

Upload problems with Facebook and Vimeo from Premiere Elements 10

I have created a project in HD and am trying to upload to Vimeo. Premiere Elements 10 does not have a preset so I followed some instructions from the Vimeo website. Project is "blurry" when viewed. I checked with Vimeo and they said what they converted matches what I sent so the problem must be in the export - bit rate may be incorrect. Can anyone give me the correct presets for Vimeo from Premiere Elements 10. I can view other people's video in HD and they look fine so I don't think it's my computer monitor. I'm sure you will need more information about my project so please give me a list of specific things you need to know. Thank you.
My Facebook problem is as follows. If I use the preset from Premiere Elements 10 to upload to Facebook it looks fine, HD quality as expected. Problem is, I would like to upload to my business page. Since the personal page and the business page (managed by my personal account) share a login, the preset always loads to my personal page. Does anyone know the values of the preset so I can upload the video to my business page. My business is event and wedding videography so I would like the posts to be as clear as possible.
If the problem with the Vimeo uploads is solved then I suppose I can just share the Vimeo file on Facebook. Thank you.

I think that you are overlooking what you already have with regard to a Vimeo HD preset for export to file for upload of the saved file at the Vimeo website.

Under the Advanced Button/Video Tab, you can customize the preset further from 1280 x 720 to 1920 x 1080 and increase the bitrate, if necessary, to a level that does not give you a prohibitive file size. With Profile = Main and Level = 3.1, the bitrate range is 0.19 to 14 Mbps (megabits per second).
I would start with the default bitrates of Target = 8 Mbps and Maximium = 9 Mbps and explore and experiment from there.
If you customize the preset to 1920 x 1080 in the Export Settings customization area, then change the Profile to High and the Level to 5.1
When you do that the bitrate range will be 0.19 to 300 Mbps instead of 0.19 to 14 Mbps.
In all cases, watch for file size versus bitrate versus quality of end product.
Please give that a look and then let us know if the above resolves your Vimeo and Facebook question.
