Problems with Wechat on Q10

Dear Experts,
I encounter problems with "We Chat ver. 3.0.1.1" on Q10 with OS 10.2.1.2234. It doesn't notify via hub when there's a new message although notification button has been turned on. Message only shows in BB Hub when you open Wechat/ leave it as active frame. (I purchased Q10 on version 10.2.0.424 and didn't have any problems as explain above- message always comes through via hub although Wechat is not open")
Please advise how I can resolve this problem.

after the first time, maybe WeChat is not completely turned off (= headless app).
What you can simply do is open the device monitor (it is in the device settings, but I have put it directly in the Quick Settings drawer).
Once the device monitor is open, in the bottom row tap on the "Memory" button. The screen changes, and you can find the WeChat app in the list. Tap and hold on it, and a menu will appear to the right, the top button in that overflow menu is "Close".
If you tap on it it will really close the app, and you can then open it again.
That being said, I can open and close WeChat and reopen it without doing all that.
WeChat is a very nice app, even though it does not always show me people around me, sometimes people 4000km away.

    Q10 & Exchange 2010; unable to download and forward attachment
    Hi all,
    i have a problem with Q10 phone, sync with Exchange 2010 with activesync (not BES) all seem ok but unable to download attach.
    When press "download" didnt start. Unable also to forward same message but i think is a chainde problem.
    Same message from desktop (outlook) or OWA is ok and attach downloadable.
    This is the only Q10 present in company for test so i cannot compare to others BB.
    All other users connected to the exchaneg server have iphone & ipad no issue result. Email service seem ok also for desktop.
    Firmware was updateted about 10 day ago.
    Any idea for me?

    Could you provide more detail please so I can better assist?
    Do you have this issue with all attachment types? If not, what type of attachment are you having this issue with and what size is the attachment?
    What happens when you try to forward the message? Is any error received?
    Does removing and re-adding the email account make any difference?

  • Problem with unlock the Q10 - incorrect password

    Hello,
    When type the password to unlock the BB Q10 got the following message:
    you have entered  an incorrect password 5 times. After 10 unsuccessfull attempts  your device data will be erased.
    with press OK return to the form to type the password, where on the top of the banner have incorrect password 6/10.
    when type the password can see that the letters and numbers are correct, however the phone does't except them.
    Looks that the device is stacked.
    Is there a  way to unlock in a diffrent way using default password by typing in the password field?
    any suggestion to overcome the problem.

    solved the problem by typing in the password field: blackberry follow by the user password.

  • 2 problems with my new Q10

    Hi
    I am at a zero tolerance point after trying really hard to use the link to my PC and for some reason it doesn't allow me to connect the devics AND I think this is also the reason that it didn't copy my contact list from my Bold to the Q10!

    Help! Like seriously!

    Have you tried using the transfer function in BlackBerry link, that's what I did to get the info from my Old Bold. It also imported in the stored Wifi connections as well.

  • Two Problems with Q10

    I am experiencing two specific problems with the Q10:
    1. My email account password drops at least times a day and I have to re-enter it.
    2. When texting, if I enter three or more lines of text, the screen does not scroll automatically.
    Anyone have any feedback on how to correct these issues?

  • A Restore problem with my Q10

    Hi I got a problem with my Q10, I made full back up for the phone by black berry link and I make Security wipe 
    then I tried to restore the back up files but when it starts to restore it stops and I tried how many times, and nothing happens, and I moved the back up files to other PC and its the same

  • Problems with installing a GMX-E-Mail account on a Blackberry Q10

    Hi everyone,
    since days I got a problem with installing a german GMX-E-Mail account on my Blackberry Q10. If I try the "automatic" installation by just putting in my E-Mail adress and password, it says, that my E-Mail adress or password is wrong - which it clearly isnt! Bizarrely installing a different GMX-E-Mail account wasnt a problem. It was only this one special account.
    Neither GMX, nor O2 (my mob provider/operator) could help me - everyone said its a problem with the other company.
    Today I figured the problem out by myself and I guess its a Blackberry problem:
    The password of my E-Mail account has a umlaut (means special letters, for example the a, u or o with 2 dots - ä, ü, ö, etc.) in it. Obviously you can put this umlaut in the form, but probably my Blackberry isnt able to send this umlaut to GMX correctly - since their server says the password is not correct. I changed my password. Now there is no umlaut in it anymore. Now everything works perfectly.
    Just wanted to write it down here, in case someone else has this problem or Blackberry wants to fix it

    Not sure if it will help, but if you just try and edit one of your current mailboxes, and change the box name and manually change all the details, that may work ?

  • Problem with Q10 contacts, Help!!!

    I have a problem with my contacts. I have setup a work space for my business email account. And somehow I lost most address information on both my Q10 and my email contacts. I never edited them before. That should not be lost, how could it happen? Is there a bug on Q10?

    depending on what update you have but it is takes time for all info to show on this device. let it rest for some time and check later. if they are not there sync again and leave to think about. this used to be a huge problem with later software versions, with 10.2 it shall work more or less dynamically.

  • Audio problems with the Q10

    After around a year and couple of months i started to have problems with my blackberry device Q10. The problem is that when receiving the calls i cannot hear the caller unless i put them on speaker which is annoying if you are in public.... So i did the factory reset and nothing changes. Basically the phone is just silent when I receive/make a call. I can listen to music well and even use the mic to record audio sounds. Thanks in advance for your help.

    sorry for the late reply, the latest software was applied around a month ago and currently im on the latest release 10.2.2.2977, please let me know if i can do anything to remedy this problem, thanks in advance for your help.

  • Q10, problem with making a Security Copy

    Two weeks ago, I haven't been able to make a Security Copy. A frame with "An error has been produced while making a security copy" (translated from Spanish) appears every time I try to make one.
    It also says "It might have occurred a problem with the smartphone or the connection during the security copy. Verify that the smartphone is turned-on and is connected".
    CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME???

  • BlackBerry Q10 problems with contacts after OS .10.3 Upgrade

    I need urgent help. I have serious problems with BBQ10 aftre 10.3 update.After upgrading to the new OS, my contacts became all messed up.
    1 I now have doubles, triples, and quadruples of the same names in my contacts.
    2. Many names and/or numbers have vanished.

    Due to the number of problems with "upgrading" to this OS level, I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader OS Reload:

    Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
    You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)

  • Problem with Yahoo Messenger for Blackberry 10

    Hi Blackberry Team,
    I've recently encountered a problem with Yahoo Messenger 10.1.0.88 on my Blackberry Q10 running OS 10.1.0.4181 software. It had been working fine for like a month after I purchased this phone from the authorized shop in Thailand until a few days ago it started showing the message within seconds after signed-in: 'Your connectino to the instant messaging provider has been lost. You can wait for the connection to be re-established or close the application and try logging in later'.
    This is only when I'm on 3G cellular network. It works fine through Wi-Fi connection. 
    I did some research on website and found that the latest version of Yahoo Messenger for Blackberry is actually 10.1.1.16 released on Sep 30th, 2013 but, for some unknown reasons, my Blackberry World only shows the '10.1.0.88' (which already installed on my phone) as the latest version. 
    I really need this for work as I'm communicating with international bankers over yahoo. Please help look into this problem and get it fixed at your earliest possible. Thank you.

  • Problem with ALT key display

    Hello,
    I am having an aesthetic problem with my q10 that i just got today. I was entering some contacts into my phone when I realized that the ALT key is activated whenever I add phone numbers. When I first got the phone the ALT key did not light up whenever I put contact numbers on my phone. I restarted, and set the phone to the factory settings but this will still not disapear.
    I am wondering if there is a way if I could the ALT key to not be showing while I put in contact numbers. It does not effect my phone, its just annoying to see something that didn't used to be there.

    Just to clarify, are you referring to Alt Space bar left click and drag for zoom?  If yes, then that needs 'Use GPU' enabled in Preferences > Performance.  So can you check that? It actually works with either Ctrl or Alt together with the space bar. Left mouse click and drag left and right to zoom in and out.
    If GPU is checked, can you try some different settings?

    You should also make sure the video card driver is fully up to date, and from the card maker's web site.

    I have a Problem with a Mail Account with active sync. Only one EMail Adress with the sysntax :  Sistonet.org
    will not sync to my account. I have no Enterprise Aktivation only Active Sync with MS Eychange.
    I try with a Iphone and it works , I try with an Black Berry  ( other device ) and it dosent work !!!
