Problems with WRT160N and Xbox 360 - please help

I have recently purchased a WRT160N router and when I play games online (Halo 3 or Modern Warfare 2) it takes around 10 min to find a game while in the lobby. I don't get kicked out or signed out of my profile it just takes a long time. It says that my NAT type is Open. I have isolated that the problem is the router because if I plug an ethernet cable from the 360 to the DSL modem I find games instantly. I have looked up port forwarding and opened the ports on the 360 and specifically for modern warfare 2 and it actually made my NAT type go to strict, ironic. I have spent 5 hours trying to mess with this and can't seem to get it working right. If someone could please help me on the settings or have any other ideas that would be greatly appreciated.

I have already tried reducing the MTU as well as the Beacon Level, Threshold, and Fragmentation. That did not work. To get the ip address of the modem is where I do cmd prompt ipconfig right. If so, I have not done that yet and since I am at work I will do that when I get home. the ports I have opened on the router for the xbox were 80, 88, 53, and 3074. Like I said when I did that it actually got worse cause my NAT was open but then it went to Strict.

BEFW11S4 Problems with Laptop and Xbox 360

For the past few weeks my Linksys BEFW11S4 has been malfunctioning. When I try to connect to the wireless network from my laptop, it says "Not Connected" but I can still access the internet for a few minutes before it really disconnects. Unplugging the router and plugging it back in lets me connect again, but still it gives the "Not Connected" message and boots me off within a few minutes. It has also been causing problems with my Xbox 360. It is connected with an ethernet cable to the router, but every time I turn the Xbox on it says that it is not connected. After I unplug the router and plug it back in, the problem is fixed, and I can go online on my Xbox for as long as I want. Anyone know how to fix this?

It seems that router is not configured properly ..... checkthe firmware version on the status page of router ..... .

Problems with Superdupe and then Winclone - please help!

Okay..
I just got a 17" and I used Superdupe to clone my 15" and used Winclone to do the same for my windows partition.
I bought a new 500 gig hard drive and formatted it. I formatted it to Mac OS Extended Journaled with just one partition.
After cloning (2 hours or so..) - I restarted with the new hard drive in the new 17" and went to bootcamp and it says...
"The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again."
Ok - so I went back to disk utility and did it all over again - making sure there is just one partition... now after 2 hours and super duper working again.. I am getting the same message from Boot Camp..
Any help!!! I just did this about a month ago and did not have this problem.. I think what I did last time was partition the drive in Mac and boot in windows and make the partition a windows format.. which I think worked.. but I cant remember..
Its about to drive me nutz..

I have no idea what you are doing since you didn't make that very clear. However, what you need to do is this:
Extended Hard Drive Preparation
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger or Leopard.)
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to One. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
I would be careful about trying to restore your clone from your other computer because the new 17" may require a new build of OS X. If you restore your other system it may not be fully compatible or not even boot the new one. Better to install the version of OS X that was included with the new computer's installer discs. You can always restore your data files separately from your backup clone.
Once you have a working system open Boot Camp Assistant and use it to create a new Windows partition to which you can restore your Wincloned backup. Note that in earlier versions of WinClone it would only restore a Windows partition to the same hardware. It may not restore to your new hardware.

Real Problems with Feedburner and iTunes. Please help!

I've tried numerous things to figure out whats going on but havent been able to pin point it. Maybe someone here can help. My latest podcast episode has not shown up in iTunes yet and it has been almost 2 days. I've tried pinging the iTS and pinging feedburner but I'm not sure what's going on. For my first 2 podcasts everything went fine but for this one, the feedburners site says it was unable to create an enclosure for the podcast. Any clues on where to even start? I'm not really a code guy so I don't know what to do. Here's my feed URL and the site I post my podcasts too:

interesting. I see they are in the iTunes Store now. Last night after I pinged iTunes AND feedburner it didn't show up. What is the usual wait time for pinging the sites? Maybe I need to just be a little more patient

Problems with bxslider and fancybox. Please help!

Hi guys,
I'm making a site for a client and have made a gallery using FancyBox. Everything worked fine until I implemented bxSlider into the gallery.
The two are conflicting - although it seems that bxSlider has the upper hand as that still works (albeit out of position at the moment!)! The images using FancyBox just load the link to the image as if FancyBox wasn't installed...
If you click here, you can hopefully see what I mean.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get both to work?

I didn't see it the first time, you still have 3 versions of jquery. 1.7.1, 1.7.2 and jquery-latest.js (v1.8.1).
The best way to get all of these scripts to function on the same page, would be to start with scripts written for the same version of jquery. I know 1.8.x had some issues (from a post by Nancy O.) and older scripts stopped working. It might be best to use 1.7.2 now that I think of it.
You might be able to use 1.7.2 in place of the first jquery reference and clear out the other two references. If that doesn't work, you're going to need to find or re-write compatible scripts.

Step by step complete setup for WRT54G ver.6 with Laptop and XBOX 360

Hello. I am sorry to post this, I am sure it is a juevenile and redundent question...but I have tried to look for the set up cd (I can find where to download it...though I can find the firmware upgrade or whatever). My friend at work said it would do all the setup pretty much automatically for me.
I somewhat know computers, but you might go ahead and make your replies VERY lamen's terms or I might not be able to follow. Anyways, what I need, is a step by step/screen by screen directions for a secure network. I have made a partial attempt at setting it up and it technically works, but I would feel better if I did the steps a-z in order, so I know that it is done correctly. I also am not totally confident in its security as it is now. (Also, technically, I did not check the XBOX again after getting the new laptop, I am just assuming it is still working because it was before).
My problem is I can't seem to find very good directions for setting up the router...I only find partials or confusing directions.
So here are the things I am trying to connect:
Liksys WRT54G ver. 6
Gateway Laptop running Windows Vista
XBOX 360 - WIRED
(I had a PC and a laptop, but they both died at the same time and I have only been able to replace the laptop at this point...the PC will come later and not sure at this point if it will be Wired or not).
I have a cable Modem between the Router and the wall...I didn't look at that for brand/etc...but I can get it ASAP if needed.
Here are the settings that I have so far:
Changed the Router Name
Changed the SSID
Have DHCP set to 3 (XBOX, PC, Laptop)
Wireless SSID Broadcast: Disable
Username and Password changed to my own info
UPnP: Enable
I may have changed other things without knowing it. So like I said, a complete, step by step screen by screen set up would be totally appreciated. I haven't done anything in the security tab, all that is totally foreign to me, so I am just not broadcasting for now until I can get some help setting things up with you guys.
And if someone is familiar with the Laptop/XBOX 360 setup, and I need to change any of the settings on the XBOX itself, could you please include that in your directions? I know that isn't technically what THIS forum is for, but it would sure be helpful to me if you happen to know both parts anyways.

So all you just need to do is, secure your Wireless Network. Follow the setps bellow and change the settings on your Router.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
- Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
- Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
- Set the Wireless channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WPA, For Encryption, select TKIP...For Passphrase input your desired WPA Key. For example , MySecretKey , This will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone and remember the key.
NOTE : Passphrase should be more that 8 characters...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

Problem with Isight or Photo Booth PLEASE HELP

When ever i take a picture with teapot or spotlights or an other dark picture for the matter It comes out all white and pink kind of. It just looks weird and discollored but only pink and white. Please help me ( ps its only the new ichat effects it has problems with and idk how to delete them their the ones on this website from Ismiley)

WRT160N and Xbox 360

I just recently purchased a WRT160N v.3 and I'm trying to configure it wirelessly to my XBOX 360 via the wireless adapter, but my Xbox cannot connect. I have searched the forums and have tried steps like this:
Access routersetup page ....
Please click on the tab "Application and gaming" and click on sub
tab "Port range forwarding"
1) On the first line in Application box type in "Xbox", in start box
type in 88, in end box type in 88, in protocol keep it both, in ip
address type in 192.168.1.20 and give a check mark on enable box.
2)   On the second line in Application box type in "Xbox", in start box
type in 3074, in end box type in 3074, in protocol keep it both, in ip
address type in 192.168.1.20 and give a check mark on enable box.
3) Now save the settings
4) Once you return to the setup page, click on the tab "Administration"
and disable the UPNP and save the settings.
5) Now assign the given ip address on your xbox
   ip address :- 192.168.1.20
   subnet mask :- 255.255.255.0
   default gateway :- 192.168.1.1
Please assign the dns address on the xbox
primary dns :- 4.2.2.2
secondary dns :- 192.168.1.1
6) Please try to test your xbox live.
But it does not seem to work, I have a Verizon modem (6100F) hooked up to the router as well and the internet connection is fine, could anyone help?

Note that my xbox would NOT connect to my router until I put in a WPA2 password for the router that was all caps and no numbers. Not sure why this was. Hope that helps you/someone else.

whenever I try to install an app (no matter what kind, I tried solitaire and Skype) the app is going up and immediately shuts down nothing happens.
I tried to look it up on the web and did everything it says but nothing helped.

I have the exact same problem in my GT70-0ND-447 with Windows 8 SL x64.
Skype, Ebay and some other Metro style applications does not work.
When I start the application startup screen appears, and then almost immediately closes.
Applications can be seen in the drop down list on the left, but they do not work. In the system log I see a message "The server not register with App DCOM within the required timeout" (error 10010).
Event for Ebay under Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational: "Activation of the app eBayInc.eBay_1618n3s9xq8tw!App for the Windows.Launch contract failed with error: The app didn't start." (error 5961).
I wrote to support. Waiting...

Problems with Oracle XE on XP - Please help!

I have oracle XE installed on my machine and it was working absolutely fine for the last year or so. Today there was an trojan intrusion which caused some issues with my windows xp OS like hiding some files, desktop etc. After everything was cleaned up and things back to normal. I am having issues with XE.
I can start and stop XE with out any issues and When I use the run sql command line, I can connect using - connect sys/sys as sydba and I can also run a query to see all the users and see the HR user also.
However, 1. When I connect to my hr user using connect hr/password@xe, it just hangs
2. I tried the- go to Oracle XE admin page but it just hangs for a long time and returns page cannot be found.
3. I can tnsping the xe instance.
Not sure what the issue is? I am not a DBA and don't have much knowledge on this. Is a fresh install the only option? or is there any way to correct this using the sys/sys user?
I have pasted the listenor.log and listenor.ora details below. I tried a fresh install after removing XE. but the same issue!

Problem with Variable!!! Please Help

Hello People!
I have a big problem!!
I have a procedure executed by a program in Pro * C/C++
In this program there is a variable:
char CBATCH[8];
MEMSET (CBATCH, NULL, 8);
This variable is a parameter for my procedure!
create or replace procedure COMPOSER (vnum_composer out number,
vbatch_id in varchar2)

from trl_batch_composer
where batch_id = vbatch_id

end;
The problem is, vnum_composer is always NULL.
I think thats because in my table, Batch_id is a CHAR(7).
So it cant compare batch_id = vbatch_id....
please help...

You mean the sequence you have in Query Properties - Variable Sequence dont match with the Runtime Selection Window?
I remember having a similar problem last week but cud resolve it after redoing it .
I am guessing ur on BI 7.0 SP 13...

Serious Problem with New Mac Pro! Please help!!

Ok, long story short.
My Mac pro keeps crashing after I installed the latest 05-2007 security update. It seems to crash everytime I come back to the computer after the screensaver has been on for a while (its not the screensaver though) I reinstalled the newer v1.1 version of the update and I thought the problem had gone, but it hasnt as the computer just crashed again.
I cannot see any correlation to any other programs, and im 99% sure its not a hardware issue. It does not seem to relate to parallels, or the screensaver, or itunes, or anything!
And there is another crazy thing, when the computer restarts, it says that it recovered from a serious error and asks you to sumit a report, so i click the send report button and do you see a normal report window with all the code ? NO!!! Press report and the initial window just DISAPPEARS, nothing else happens!!! i.e it wont send the but to apple!! no wonder they haven't fixed it!!!
