Problems with X-Fi Elite

Hello,
I am virtually new to the board and I am having trouble with my X-Fi Elite Pro. First off, I got the card in March and things ran fine. I upgraded to Vista Home Premium 32-bit and the transition was faultless, minus the wait for mature drivers for all my devices. Well, I'm using my X-Fi Elite Pro for my DAW/Gaming Rig. I am running Cubase4 and making Drum and Bass, Hip Hop, and House music. The card, while working, provided superior sound quality and supported Cubase4 with a Full Duplex AISO Driver, nice.
Yesterday, I opened Cubase4 to work on a project that I have been tweaking and then there was no sound coming from the speakers. All other sounds, aside from Cubase4, were working and responding just as normal. I restarted the computer and the problems resurfaced as soon as I went back into Cubase4. This issue maybe caused by the program but there are definately some problems with the card as well. I restarted the computer again and the speakers kept popping every two seconds. This popping sound did not stop, reguardless of what application was run. I was very upset, I love my Elite Pro!
I disconnected the I/O Console and plugged my speakers directly into the card and the problem was solved. That solved the popping issue but the I/O Console continues to give me problems. Now there is no sound if I plug speakers into the I/O Console. I really need the I/O Console for connecting MIDI, Mixers, and Mics to my DAW. What is going on? What can I do to save my Elite Pro and my I/O Console. Is the problem with the card or the I/O Console?
I am going to reinstall Cubase4 when I get out of the office and see if that fixes my sound issue. I am hoping that it was because of a bad install with vista. At the time of installation, Vista drivers and hotfixes were nonexsistant, almost. I am hoping that this will resolve my immediate issues with Cubase4 but my problems with my X-Fi Elite Pro still remain. What can I do?

solved!?i was sharing power with another device(fan) and in my logitech input device options, i didnt havent it set to 6ch direct... idiot?i guess anyone having problem with code 2 make sure your not sharing power with another device which connects to the psu

Problems with X-Fi Elite Pro? Hello, everyone!
I'm from Brazil and?I'm having a huge problem with my X-Fi Elite Pro.
A few months ago, my video card stopped working and I replaced it!
But then, my audio card stopped working properly as well!
I reinstalled all the drivers (Video AND Audio) and my SB played my music for about 2 minutes before stop working! I reinstall the drivers, works for 2 minutes, and stop! Then I change de mode "Game" to" Audio Creation" and it keep working. But the stop 2 minuts after. Then i change de mode "Audio Creation" to "Entretainment". It works for 2 minutes and stop. If i try the 3. time, works for 2 seconds and stop. It also happens in the 4. attempt... the 5?... the 6?...
In this 2 minutes, it works fine! 00%! But then stops, with?no apparent reason!
Can someone help me? I don't know what to do, anymore!

I have a problem with X-Fi Elite Pro External Cons

Hello there,?I have a problem with my X-Fi Elite Pro External Console, as it seems. I use X-Fi mainly for recording and it was working fine untill I reinstalled Windows. I downloaded the driver off the support page and while audio playing is working fine ; The PC doesn't seem to be recieving any signals when I plugin the guitar through the External Console ... I am not sure what might be causing this problem?and I am in?a desprate need of help. Please advise?Wael

Problems with X-Fi Elite Pro Creative Audio Creation Conso

Hi I am Sergio Fucchi from Italy and I am 47 years old and I like to create my own CD from my analog li've recording of jazz and classical music.
I have changed all the top quality of Creative cards: Li've!, Audygy2, Audygy2 ZS, Audygy4 Pro and now X-Fi Elite Pro. Now I have a problem to visualize correctly the console of Audio Creation Mode on my monitor at 800x660 because I can't to resize the windows, but I can only pan it around my screen. With the others modes I have not any problems.
My video card is an ATI All-in-wonders 9600pro with latest drivers, my PC is an AMD-XP 3000+ with a GB fo ram and s.o. is XP SP2.

Problems with X-Fi Elite Pro's I/O Breakout R

I'm thinking this might largely be a power supply problem, but it might also be a faulty rack.
The card works and I get sound. I've also plugged in the power supply to the sound card in order to get the I/O box to work. After I install the drivers (I've done this three times now, doing a clean sweep of the drivers each time), the I/O rack works, but when I restart, it freezes and I can't control anything from the rack. The lights are on, but no volume control, no MIDI control, nothing.
I am running a 350W power supply so I'm wondering if there is a recommended wattage to be using when running this card.
General setup inside:
2 HDD
2 DVD-ROMS
2 Gigs memory
Hauppage TV Tuner Card
ATI Radeon 9550
AMD Athlon XP 2800+

The problem is actually about the power connector to the card (which powers the external box).
But of course is not since I forgotten to attach it
It is because the power connector is very tight, so when my friend helping me pulled out the connector, the connector?s plastic jack is also pulled out a half.
I don't notice it when I attach the power connector to it in my new computer, So the power connector can't really provide the power to the external box.
I hope someone can get some help from this thing.

Problem with iTunes in Win XP

I have downloade the game Asphalt 4: Elite Racing to my pc.
But when I want to sync with the iPod touch, it give me this failure:
The program Asphalt 4 was not installed on the iPod touch, because you do not have rights to play the subject on this computer.

I have a problem with a family members blackberry curve 8520!

My grandmother has a problem with the blackberry as she cannot call or receive calls from people on her contacts list or anyone else. She said to me that she has a star in a blue box under her signal bar and next to it she has a "gprs".
Could this be a problem with her blackberry? If not then can you help me to solve the problem. I'd be really grateful for the help.

in manage connections, - mobile network, make sur she has it set to 3g & 2g and it should say wifi preffered or mobile network preffered, check that this is set to the right one.

Can anyone help; re: Faxing problems with my 6200 all in one

Our HP office jet 6210 which we use only for faxing and minor printing intermittenly goes crazy with blinking red and amber lights
when a fax is being received or when we are sending one. When the fax fails and we stop the blinking lights, it self tests then turns off. Sometimes when it does this we get an error message printed that says "Power Failure." The party being faxed gets 1/2 a fax or 1 page out of 5. I'll unplug it from the electric and plug it back in and then it will work fine for a day or two. We have tried faxing from the glass when we have problems and that seems to work when self-feed faing doesn't. We have not installed any drivers as this is not plugged into a computer but stands alone with it's own designated phone line.
Any ideas??? The machine is 5 years old and has never given us any trouble until now. Is it time to upgrade?

I have a new photosmart plus printer B209a CD035A and I have never been able to set up the fax, I get a message saying that the phone line is not connected to the modem, the phone is connected to my modem or I would not have an internet connection, perhaps I am not understanding it, I have the printer set up wireless now but it was wired before and I still could not set it up, I purchased it in April this year along with my new desktop Elite HPE-150f model AY603AA, using windows7 64 bit, now I have a problem with the alignment, all the fonts are cut off down each side which makes it hard to read instructions, can someone give me some help with this. The alignment problem has only just started this past 2 weeks. thanks

Using an external drive for OS, problems with install

My iMac, 1.8 GHz, OS 10.5.8, PPC's internal hard drive is failing. Rather than replace the internal drive, I had hoped to use an external USB drive to run the OS.
When using the OS 10.5.x install, I am repeatedly told the OS cannot be installed onto my external drive.
I cannot narrow down the isse.
Is it because it is a USB drive?
Is it the format of the drive? It is currently formatted as "Mac OS X Extended Journaled."
Is it indicative of some other problem with the computer?

You need an external Firewire drive to boot a PowerPC Mac computer.
I recommend you do a google search on any external harddrive you are looking at.
I bought a low cost external drive enclosure. When I started having trouble with it, I did a google search and found a lot of complaints about the drive enclosure. I ended up buying a new drive enclosure. On my second go around, I decided to buy a drive enclosure with a good history of working with Macs. The chip set seems to be the key ingredient. The Oxford line of chips seems to be good. I got the Oxford 911.

Problem with Image positioning

Hello everyone I am having a problem with the positioning of an image I want to sit on top of the background in DW. I want it to sit on top of the background because I want to use a behaviour effect so that it fades in. Anyway, I go to Insert and choose the image I want, and it shows up in the top-left corner of my DW, which I expect it to. However, I want the Image to sit a lot further down the page (and eventually at the center). So, I select the image and go to the "V Space" in the properties panel and I alter the value in it so that the image will be positioned further down the page. However, when I do this for some reason the whole page shifts to the left a little and I also get a scroll bar that makes the page a lot longer, which I don't want. Does anybody know why this is happening and what I could do to prevent it? I will attach a "before" and "after" screenshot so you can see what I mean a little more clearly.

I've also experimented a little by moving the image down bit by bit and found that everything is fine until I cross around 200 on "VSpace"- after that is when the page shifts and I get the scroll bar.

Problem with I-trigue 5600 . Please help!

My I-trigue 5600 worked perfectly for over 4 years. Buy recently, my rear right channel stoped working I 've tried everything : all satellites work poperly,drivers are ok, I tested it on 2 computers. There is still the same problem. Unfortunately Creative dosn't have after-guarantee service.. So, I tried to open subwoofer, but the inerity is too complicated with many areas flooded with glue or isolation. I tried also to buy another subwoofer / i believe it must have small damage , but the rest of speakers work great and the voice of subwoofer is good as well/ but there is problem with buying a subwoofer separately. Becouse there are only auctions on net.
So , what I supposed to do? Does Creative have separated spare parts to my subwoofer? Can I buy another subwoofer anywhere?
Can I replace my sub to similar from another speakers system and which one would be suitable.
I don't want to change my speakers. They are the best for me, but defect of one chanell is annoying. Really.
I wanted to buy x-fi elite pro ,but now it's pointless.

Hey! I've got the same problem with the same kind of speakers! When im listening to something volume is coming down and after a some time its coming back to its previous level! Coming back to its normal level can be forced by turning the speakers on and off! thats all i've discovered...
i also heard that some of creative speakers have kind of (f**k i dont know the word in english :P ) which works like that: when subwoofer is hot it automatially turns the volume lower to save your speakers from burning form hot :P or something like this :P
hmm... what i discovered that is no matter what i connect as source of music! effect of volume is the same
or maby you discovered the reason of this?

I do not recommend reformatting your harddrive and reloading your software. This is a Windows thing. On an older mac it may be difficult to find all your software again.
Best to have greater than 2gig of free space. Many posters to these forums state that you need much more free space: 5 gig to 10 gig or 10 percent of you hd size.

Be careful when deleting files. A lot of people have trashed their system when deleting things. Place things in trash. Reboot & run your applications. Empty trash.
Go after large files that you have created & know what they are. Do not delete small files that are in a folder you do not know what the folder is for. Anything that is less than a megabyte is a small file these days.

Help..having problem with MP3's on a X

<SPAN>I have just purchased an X-Fi Elite Pro, because of all the problems with the cracking and popping of my older Adugy card! Hope I didn?t waist that $400.00 bucks! It started having some weird loop problems when playing MP3?s through the Creative Media Source Player. It doesn?t do it all the time, but when it starts?I will need to reboot with the reset button to make it stop. If I catch it quick?I can get out of the Creative Media Source Player by Ctrl/alt/delete. When the loop problem happens it is at the start of a song that won?t play complete. Kinda like it starts the song and gets hung and keeps trying to start over and maybe one channel is ahead of the other?if that makes since! It almost has a phase shift effect to it, but if I am not fast enough and it plays that loop too long?I can't make it stop with out rebooting! I have not had any other problems so far and this has only happened in the Creative Media Source Player, but I have not tried Windows Media Player in a while!

Just try another player st.
If same issues happens, then reinstall directx (latest), audiocodecs (pack like k-lite, ACE), creative drivers/software. Maybe SP2 reinstallation too.
Also check all audio settings (SR, Bitdepth, effects, buffers, ...) you have there (creative control panels (and windows panels too)).
You can also check if
- any hardware conflicts/IRQ sharing(s) there
- onboard audio is disabled and uninstalled (drivers)
- remains from Audigy installation (drivers, dll's, etc.)

Having Problem with Spry Menu - Help appreciated

I am currently developing my website but I am having terrible problems with the spry menu. I have tried lots of things but not yet resolved the issue. I will try to give as much info as possible. My website is www.huntfilms.ie
When I am in dreamweaver the site looks fine and when I preview in browser also looks fine but when I have uploaded to server there is the problem as you can see.

Fragmentation problems with PSE 11

I have just installed PSE & Premier Elements 11 on Vista Ultimate. When I try to edit my photos they become fragmented and look like a jigsaw puzzle. This does not happen with PSE 10 on the same computer. Can anyone tell me why this occurs? Could it be a fault with the software?

Thank you for your information about my problem with PSE 11. I have since tried the programme on 2 different computers and it works fine. Seems like the problem is with my computer although my old PSE 10 works okay. I'd appreciate any ideas about what could be wrong with my computer to cause my photos to break up into various segments which don't join together particularly when I move them into 'before and after horizontal' or '......vertical' and even when zooming them. ( HP Pavilion Elite) Vista Ultimate.
