Problems with Yahoo, I Cannot download files from my mail or logout from my account.

Recently, I have discovered that I cannot logout from my Yahoo account without closing Firefox, which clears my history. Also, I have problems downloading files from my email. At first I thought maybe Yahoo was having some issues but when I use Safari, I don't have these problems. Any idea as to what my problem could be?

I can't think any way in which Adobe Reader is involved in downloading pics from your camera. If you think Adobe is involved, check the name of the Adobe software you are using, they make lots of stuff.

  • Problem with opening a dmg downloaded file.

I have a problem with opening a dmg file type. Example. I down loaded an update for Onyx. The download is placed on my destop. OnyX.dmg. When I click the file, disk utility opens up. I click OnyX.dmg and it attaches the image. I then have the OnyX disk image on my desktop. I click on OnyX.pkg and get the message "There is no default application specified to open the document "OnyX.pkg"
I remember when I 1st installed the program months ago. I just dragged the icon to the applications folder and was done.

There is something rather odd with your defaults for opening things. Double clicking a .dmg file should cause it to mount automatically using DiskImageMounter, and double clicking a .pkg file ought to cause Installer to run. DiskImageMounter is here:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/DiskImageMounter
    and the Installer is here:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/Installer
You can use GetInfo to assign those programs to those file types. You might consider fixing your LaunchServices database. See the discussion thread here:

Using OnyX is probably the easiest solution.

  • Problem with Yahoo search infringing trademarks, very disappointed that you moved away from Google.

Google is responsive to trademark infringement complaint for its ADWORDS program. Yahoo's advertising program constantly permits advertisers to infringe trademarks and does not respond to complaints. Reflects really poorly on FireFox, which we used to hold in high regard. All the ads on Yahoo are infringing our trademark and Yahoo legal is not taking action to remove the advertisers.
If $ are at the source of FireFox switch, then your "commitment" to keeping the web open and valid is looking like a sell out switch as well.
Very disappointing, especially having contributed to Mozilla supposed "volunteer". And your file upload doesn't work.

Thank you for your prompt reply and the links to the complaint forms. We've been submitting them for years, so we are quite familiar with the process. Google and Bing are responsive, Yahoo is not!
The problem stems from the fact that FireFox, who we have grown to trust, made Yahoo Search the default search without alerting FireFox users that you have done so, nor did FireFox provide an alert with instructions to revert to Google, should the user so choose.
This is not in keeping with FireFox's open, transparency commitment, which makes it sound like it is $$ driven, rather than mission driven. It's like saying that you care about humanity, and then source products from impoverished areas of the world in the name of $$.
Re: Are the ads the same as those appearing on other browsers, yes, but I thought that FireFox was not like all the other browsers. What happened to your manifesto to do good or better?! ...Yahoo just doesn't deliver on so many levels that it reflects really poorly on FireFox.
We have learned over the years that Google is responsive to intellectual property complaints and takes their position as the leader in global browsing very seriously. Unlike Yahoo. From other comments it looks as though I am not the only one to want Google back.
MOZILLA "The Internet is an integral part of modern life—a key component in education, (isn't FireFox now teaching that manifesto is just lip service and the $ is really the KEY component) communication, collaboration, business, entertainment and society as a whole.
The Internet must enrich the lives of individual human beings OR is the internet used to enrich FireFox and Yahoo at the expense of human beings.
Suggestion: INFORM USERS about Yahoo, INFORM USERS how to revert to Google and make it easy and permanent to revert to Google. Thanks for your consideration.

  • Problem with indesign & acrobat cannot saved files on server : file already open-

    About the problem of Christina
It's the same for us with Indesign and also with Acrobat. The problem comes from Adobe. They do not understand that we work on server. They tHink that we must work in local and after save files on server. That's totally crazy when you are saverall to work on the same file at different time of the day. How could you know that you work on the right file?
Please, ADOBE, could you solved this problem?

You need Adobe Drive, which helps to connect with DAM systems. AFAIK, Adobe does not supply DAM systems though.

Devices are paired. Bluetooth Sharing is on.

    PROBLEM SOLVED:
Go to "System Preferences" - "Sharing" - "Bluetooth Sharing" - "Folder for selected items:", and select a folder."
    No folder is selected.
Prior to the upgrade the Folder had been set to "Downloads", so I reset it to "Downloads" and it now works.

  • Hi I am trying to download the family tree maker that i purchased by email onto my ipad however I keep getting the same thing SAFARI CANNOT DOWNLOAD FILE can anyone help me solve this problem thanks.....bebe

Hi i am i have any ipad and i am trying to download family tree maker that i purchased online, but all that keeps co ing up is safari cannot download file can anyone help me .....bebe

I think you are trying to install a computer application to use on an iPad. You can't. They are incompatible pieces of hardware. If you want Family Tree Maker for your iPad, then you need to get that version, if it exists, from the iTunes Store. That download can't be done via Safari.

}This program works fine for downloading files, over both http and https from my home. When I run this on my desktop in the office it can download files over http, but cannot download https files.
When I try to download files over https, I get the foll. exception:
    java.net.UnknownHostException: www.site.com

    at sun.net.www.protocol.https.HttpsClient.doConnect(DashoA12275)
There are 2 differences here, one being that my office desktop sits behind a firewall and there is a proxy in between.
In the office I run the program as :
java -Dhttp.proxyHost -Dhttp.proxyPort TestServlet URL [filename]
    eg.:
    java -Dhttp.proxyHost=235.67.138.84 -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080 TestServlet https://site.com/portal/Downloads/file.csv file.csv
This url requires authentication, the userid and pwd are hardcoded in the code.
Now, my problem is I cannot understand why this error would come. Is it because of the firewall or because of the proxy ?
Why is it that I can download over http successfully from my office desktop? If the problem is with the firewall or proxy, then even http protocol urls should give the same problem.
    Please help.

If you are using HTTPS you should be setting
    https.proxyHost
    https.proxyPortnot the http.* ones.

  • Cannot download files in IE

I cannot download files similar to what is described in this question.... <Microsoft blocked the link>
I am using Win 7 and IE 11.  When I try to download files, like WinRAR <Microsoft blocked the link> or Firefox <Microsoft blocked the link>.  Files get renamed.  For the winrar example the file gets renamed to "dl_".
Most of the time only the dot before the exe gets renamed but as you can see with the WinRAR example, that is not always the case.
Executables are not the only culprit.   I think the problem happens when the download is initiated by the website, versus right clicking on an img and downloading.  I use TaxAct and the problem happens when trying to download non-executable
files from there.  I can only assume that the files are pdf's but the rename of the file prevents me from knowing what type of files they are.
    thanks

    Hi,
Do you mean that you can successfully download these files but these files are not useful or broken? Did you see any message prompted? When did this issue happen? Did you make any changes before?
What is the security level of your IE? Go to Tools\Internet Options\Security\Interbet or trusted site, see the security level, set it to the default level.
Clear the history of IE,  run a security scan to make sure the safety of your system, change the location of the downloads, test the result again.

  • NetStorage : Cannot Download Files 4GB

    Hi,
Running NetStorage on OES 11 sp2 with all patches current to July 13, 2015.
I can upload a file larger than 4 GB with some browsers - Chrome...

This looks like some sort of 32 bit unsigned integer bug... But oddly I can upload > 4GB files with some browsers.
    I have tested with:
    1. Chromium 27 on opensuse 11.4 (64bit) - Can Upload >4GB, cannot download >=4GB (it downloads the file modulo 4GB)
    2. IE 10/Opera 12.15/Chrome 26/Firefox 20 on Windows 7 (64bit) - All fail (modulo 4GB) on download; IE 10 fails on both up/down; Chrome/Firefox Upload okay. Chrome is nice since it gives an actual percentage complete status whereas the other give no progress feedback.
    3. Firefox 20 on Windows XP (32bit) - Cannot up/down >=4GB
    4. IE6 on Windows XP (32bit) - Cannot up/down >=2GB
4.1 Microsoft has documented limitations in IE6 (2GB-1 byte max) and in IE7 (4GB-1 byte max). They say IE8 on XP has no limitation, but I have not tested it.
While it is clear that some issues are probably from the browser side (eg IE 6/7) it also seems possible that there is a bug in the NetStorage backend. It might be a bug in the code of java/tomcat or it might be tuneable knob (default setting) in apache/tomcat/java. If you know of any of these knobs please post - I've googled to no avail.
    Thanks,
    Ron
Are you front-ending with NAM or other reverse proxy? Or is this direct?

  • I work in a hospital and cannot download or listen to my purchased  music from iCloud.

I work in a hospital where I cannot download my purchased (over 2+ yrs) music from iCloud. I can get all it when away from work. Also I just got hit with more usage charges while trying to do downloads at work.

    Hi lorrina,
Why not just sign onto your iTunes account on the desk top, and download the songs? Are you looking under the correct "Purchased" option? Click on the iTunes Store. Once the Store is open, click on Purchased under Quick Links.
You will then see a window come up with tabs for Music, Apps, Movies, etc. Click on Music, click on Songs, click on "Not on this Computer". You should see a list of all of your purchased music with a little cloud that has a down arrow in the middle of it next to each song. Click on selected songs to download them, or click on "Download All" at the bottom of the screen.
    Cheers,

  • Problem with Yahoo Messenger for Blackberry 10

    Hi Blackberry Team,
I've recently encountered a problem with Yahoo Messenger 10.1.0.88 on my Blackberry Q10 running OS 10.1.0.4181 software. It had been working fine for like a month after I purchased this phone from the authorized shop in Thailand until a few days ago it started showing the message within seconds after signed-in: 'Your connectino to the instant messaging provider has been lost. You can wait for the connection to be re-established or close the application and try logging in later'.
This is only when I'm on 3G cellular network. It works fine through Wi-Fi connection.
I did some research on website and found that the latest version of Yahoo Messenger for Blackberry is actually 10.1.1.16 released on Sep 30th, 2013 but, for some unknown reasons, my Blackberry World only shows the '10.1.0.88' (which already installed on my phone) as the latest version.
I really need this for work as I'm communicating with international bankers over yahoo. Please help look into this problem and get it fixed at your earliest possible. Thank you.

Correct, Safari can not be used to download files on the iPad. Also a Mac based game will not work on an iPad. Any available Apps for the iPad need to be downloaded from the App Store.

  • Problems with multiple idocs in one file ( Inbound file )

    HI,
Thanks in Advance for your suggestions.. Highly appreciated.
We have problems with multiple IDocs in one file.
We are using XIB ( Amtrix ) as Middleware to receive the files.
Curretenly When the file contains one IDoc then there is no problem. IDoc is created and everything is ok.
If file contains two IDocs ( for example two messages ORDERS and DELVERY ) then it is creating two IDocs but both IDocs contains ORDERS plus DELIVERY segements information. That is the problem. Some how SAP unable to differentiate the IDocs in the file.. But it knows that how many idocs are there in the file..because it is creating exact number of idocs.
We are using TRFC port ... Do I need to change it to File port..
When we have more than one idoc do we need set any parameter in the file ...

Thanks for the swift response. Always ideas are useful.
As of now , Middleware cannot split the file.
Thing is SAP is creating two Idocs with different message types. Problem is First IDoc contains ORDERS message type but also DELIVERY segments as well. Second IDoc with DELIVERY message tyoe but ORDERS segments as well... This is the problem... I think we are missing some field activation in file for EDIDC record.
As far as I know file port supports the number of IDocs in one file.. Hope TRFC port also supports that
