Problems with youtube, Problems with youtube

I wasnt really sure where to post it, but I use 10.7.5, so I thought to post it here.
I cannot play YouTube videos and sometimes if I get lucky, then I can by refreshing the page for many times. Otherwise mostly times the player looks like this:
The problem is both with Flash (yes, I have the latest player) and with HTML5 and always when I enter full screen I get this image:
Other flash players work totally fine, but couple weeks back YouTube started messing everything up. I've even resetted Safari and it still doesnt work well.
Any solutions?

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced >  Delete  All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Follow the prompts.
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2.  Enable Plug-ins

    It's only Safari/iOS7. Chrome iOS7 works fine.
    Solution?
Go to YT and grab the code.
Paste it in a HTML Snippet.

  • YouTube Problem With Flash

Ever since I downloaded the latest Flash version...Version:
9,0,115,0 I cannot upload videos to YouTube. When I get to the
upload page and click UPLOAD it just sits on connecting forever.
And if I let it sit there for an hour or so it will eventually say
there is a problem with the Flash Player. Any idea on how to solve
    this?

    Hi!
I'm able to see version (9.xxxxxx...something - the newest -
    today updated).
Have horror with flash-based chat. I read in one topic here
in IE problem is not! But i somehow can't login to this service
with IE I had. Now I'm trying to download newer version and will be
checking with it. Futhermore after this check I'll try how it looks
in Fedora (if You Adobe support it - have no idea of this!)
Not only I have this problem. I try on some polish forums and
users write they are experiencing sample problems.
My YouTube problem isn't with uploading (once I tried I felt
too). It freezes on some place and not move even a little. I really
can't remember what happen in a day, when it started but I fell it
takes too long to be a problem with YouTube.
    People say it's Flash.
    P.S. sorry for my english

  • I'm getting "an error occurred loading this content" when trying to airplay youtube from my iPhone 5.  My brother is using his iPhone 4s with no problem.  Is there something wrong with my settings?

I'm trying to airplay youtube from my iPhone 5 but I'm getting the error message.  I can airplay music, pictures, and other video, but no streaming.  My brother is using my appletv and wi-fi with his iphone 4s with no problems.  Any suggestions?

I started having this problem a week or so ago, after having used the Apple TV for a couple of months with only some minor problems.  Yesterday, however, I started getting this problem again and today I could not get to Airplay from my Ipad - just kept getting the "error occurred" message on my tv screen.  I tried the various fixes I could find on Google - at least the ones I could understand - but with no luck.  Then I decided to bite the bullet and pay for Apple support, even tho the problem is with the device and not due to my ignorance.  So I talked with a support person who said I would have to pay $19.95 for 30 days of support and was glad to take my credit card information.  This person had never heard of the problem, and ending up bumping me up to an Apple TV specialist, after spending 20 minutes or so on hold, and explaining the problem, etc.  I finally got to the specialist who had heard of this problem and said that she was crediting me for the $19.95, since the problem is due to a KNOWN HARDWARE ERROR.  In fact, she said that Apple would give me a new, replacement unit if I would go to the nearest Apple store.  This even tho I bought the unit used - it is still covered.  Now I have to make a 100 mile round trip to the Apple store, since Apple won't send the new one out in the mail, even if I return mine first.  And Apple won't pay for my gas.  So that's the mostly good and some bad news.  I hope that the new unit won't have this problem, but I think the bigger issue is that since Apple knew about the problem that affects certain serial numbers, why don't they post that information on their support sites or just make it findable by a Google search.  Whenever I have had a problem with Windows, I have always been able to find a Microsoft article or fix addressing it by doing a Google search, but Apple, always desiring to be arcane and opaque, isn't interested in this approach.  In fact, why not just put together a "known problems" site for Apple products so that users can find this kind of information easily, without having to put out $19.95 for technical support that isn't needed, and wasting their own time (and money, as in my case, for gas).  The bottom line is that all of the people with this problem who posted (and there are many) were apparently ignorant that Apple KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND WILL REPLACE THE BAD UNITS.  This is because, I am sure, they don't want to shell out the $19.95.  Anyway, hope this helps someone.  I doubt if Apple will listen to the suggestion.   Good luck..

  • Embedding youtube video in flash with as2 - problem with black bars

I have successfully embedded the youtube video in my flash code with:
//create area to put youtube video on screen
    this.createEmptyMovieClip("reason1_video", 10000);
    reason1_video._xscale = 60;
    reason1_video._yscale = 60;
    this.reason1_video.loadMovie("http://www.youtube.com/v/PUt7Kw9Q_Qc?hd=1");
However, the video plays with black bars on top and bottom even though it plays without those directly from youtube:
    http://www.youtube.com/parallelic#p/c/258EA3637F3467BD/7/PUt7Kw9Q_Qc
Even if I take off the scaling, it still has the black bars. How do I get rid of them?

So basicly your putting a video in to your flash project

  • Can nolonger watch YouTube movies with my new Safari 2.0.4

I recently went from an eMac with 10.3.9 - Jaguar, to an iMac with 10.4.8 Tiger. My Safari is 2.0.4.
While I was able to watch all YouTube movies, I can nolonger do so. The movie stops about 5 seconds after watching a movie. It behaves as though I already watched the movie.
I did a search to see if I could find similar incidents, and I can see that others may have experienced this problem, but no resolution was ever made.
I run the disk utility almost daily, so there are no permissions that need repairing. I use Foxfire to watch the YouTube movies with no problem, so it appears to be a Safari thing. Not really a 'Safari' thing, more than a Safari 2.0.4 thing - at least it seems that way.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes... that's what I meant! Actually, I cut and pasted that info, so I cut and pasted the wrong info!
EIther way, it did answer my question, so I will mark it as such.
I think that if the others who had the same problem who posted before me will be able to solve their problem as well.

  • Vdpau and full screen youtube problems on Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M

I have Nvidia NVS 140M on 64-bit Arch. I am trying to find perfect configuration for my Thinkpad with no luck.
I used to have nouveau drivers, now using nvidia-173xx. The problems are following:
    1) YouTube videos:
    - with nouveau I was not able to watch any video (it was like a slideshow)
    - with nvidia everything works fine.
I'd prefer nouveau than nvidia, because of KMS.
    2) Glxgears
As far as I remember, you can check if acceleration is working, using this tool - CPU usage should be not changed after glxgears started. On both drivers (nouveau and nvidia) running glxgears process uses 100% CPU.
    3) vdpau
According to this thread, my card supports vdpau. I can not make it to work.

  • YouTube problem in some wi-fi locations

At my office I can view YouTube videos in Media Player while connected on wi-fi with no problem. At home YouTube videos do not play when connected to my home wi-fi. At first Media Player shows a green LOADING icon, then a red ERROR. In both locations videos from CNET play with no problem.
In both locations the wi-fi connection is made via a Linksys WRT54G router with no fixed IP in either location. Both locations have the same ISP (but different accounts). The home router has been updated to the latest Linksys firmware level. Seems the problem is my home router. Any suggestions for what setting to change?

Same problem youtube files not opened and message appear that "a problem occur in media file " help me

  • How do you play YouTube audio with the screen off with iPod 5th gen?

I used to own a 2nd gen iPod touch, which ran on an ios 4.2.1 system, that allowed me to play YouTube with the screen off. Ever since I got iPod 5 which came with ios 7, let's say I am kinda still getting the hang of how everything works. I still would like to play YouTube while the screen is off, but seem to not know how. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? It's running on ios 8, so if you could help me with this, I would gladly appreciate it!

Hi there, you can download itube, it's in the app store, and that allows you to save youtube videos for offline play. Also, you can play youtube audio with the screen off, even without a third party app. Click on a video. When it's playing, press the lock button. Press it again, to wake the device up. You should see your video on the front of the display, with a play button. Click it, and it will start playing even if the device is off. Hope I helped, ~Samuel.

  • IMovie09 - QuickTime - Youtube problem

When I had my G5 I could upload videos to Youtube with no problem, but he went into a coma so I got a new iMac with iMovie 09...
I made a test video, just 28 seconds, 5 ordinary clips, a little audio added but nothing else and saved as QuickTime movie, then uploaded to Youtube and it plays fine and the quality is reasonably good.
So then I made a 5:26 minute action movie, lots of short clips, some with faster or slower speed, some combining green screen and picture in picture playing on a clip, credits playing on picture in picture in a clip, lots of audio pieces, some transitions, about everything I could think of to combine into one movie (and it actually makes sense and works together in this movie).
So after all that effort I saved the movie to QuickTime then uploaded to Youtube and parts of it plays with a jerky or skipped frame quality. The oddest thing is the scenes that are the most complicated like green screen with picture in picture play fine, it's mainly the scenes that the speed has been changed that are jerky but also some ordinary scenes with no changes or transitions or anything.
I looked at the QuickTime movie of it on my Mac (I should have done that before uploading) and it was jerky too but I think slightly less.
Then I uploaded again to Youtube using iMovie to upload, that version was worse, it kept hanging up then suddenly jumping forward skipping parts of the movie, and this was after the movie was done processing on Youtube.
So I went back to iMovie and tried saving it several times with different settings in QuickTime but they all were jerky. By this time I'm not too happy, all that time spent making my action movie (several weeks), but I decide to try one more thing and I drag the original QuickTime version of it to iDVD to test and it plays smoothly! I burned a DVD and watched it on my TV and it's smooth there too.
How does a QuickTime movie play good in iDVD but not on the desktop or Youtube?
I just have the free version of QuickTime, will QuickTime Pro fix this problem?
Any suggestions about what else to try? I'm getting frustrated.

    Using the QuicktimeX 'share'
Have you tried using Quicktime 7? It's located inside the Utility folder.
Have you tried the YouTube Help website? There is also a Help forum link on this site.
If all else fails, post in the QuickTime Forums area. Quite a few Quicktime experts over there.

  • Problem syncing video capture with audio sountrack

    Hi,
I'm a drummer.  I'm trying to use iMovie to record a video of me drumming to a pre-recorded song.  I want the final video to be me drumming with mixed audio of both my drumming and the original soundtrack.  (Here's an example of someone else doing this on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgqYkBFSva4)
I'm recording the video using iMovie's import from FaceTime (ie. straight from my MacBook Air) and then adding the song that I played along with as an additinal audio track from iTunes, and syncing.
This is where I hit a problem, and it's driving me nuts.  When I sync the iTunes song into my iMovie project I use waveform view to line it up so start of the song is perfectly in sync with the start of the video of my drumming.  That works fine.  But then gradually over the course of the video the song track goes out of sync with the video/audio of me playing, and by the end of a 6 minute song there's a very noticable gap, which both looks and sounds terrible.
This is very strange since it's the same audio track I was playing along to!  In real-time when recording I was obviously in sync with the music, but then when adding it back to the recording it somehow no longer lines up.
Does anybody know why this is happening and how I can resolve it?  Is this a frame-rate issue?
It seems to me this shouldn't be so hard to do what I'm trying to do ...
    Thanks!
    Ari

    Hey Ari,
I was having a similar problem perhaps and this is what I did to fix it.

Re: iMovie '11 audio sync issues since 9.01 patch
Jan 24, 2012 12:11 AM (in response to Urban Shocker)
    Hi All,
I've been dealing with this sync problem tonight as well and here's what I found that worked.
I noticed that the audio sync was fine when I viewed in Quicktime 7, but not in iMovie.  I also noticed there was a small indicator on the clips in iMovie notating that the source clips were in 17 fps, not 30 fps.   This is odd because I recorded the clips using the FaceTime HD camera right into iMovie and it never gave me the option for framerate on the recording.  Viewing the source video in Finder I also realized that the codec for the source was Photo Jpeg... yuck.  Who's choice was that.
Using MPEG Streamclip (free video converter) I converted the source video clip to a Quicktime .mov at 30 fps and using the Apple Intermediate Codec and all the audio sync issues were fixed.  Didn't have to optimize, detach, or - most importantly - re-edit anything.    Apple's editing systems love Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC), I don't know why they don't import in this codec by default.

  • TS1398 I have an original iPad 32 why can't I connect on my home wi-fi but can connect anywhere else. No problems at home connect with other iPads and MACs.

I have an original iPad 32 why can't I connect on my home wi-fi but can connect anywhere else? No problems at home connect with other iPads and MACs.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • YouTube Problem (Asks For Password)

Hello there, I really appreciate your help here. I tried googling my problem but I haven't got any respond so I hope you could help me over here. Everything is more than perfect with my iPad except YouTube! it works fine but each time I lunch the app, it asks for my username and password. I don't know why, I checked the preferences and I didn't find something about the cookies. I really hope someone could solve this, my friends' iPads don't ask them for their passwords all the time, like mine does.

Thank you so much for being here. I really appreciate your consideration. Well, yes I can use it normally if I clicked cancel but I don't want to. I really need my account to by synced to the app all the time, like the rest or the iPad users. Is there any chance I can do that on my iPad?

  • YouTube freezes with my blutooth headset

While listening to a Youtube video via the Mac's internal speaker, if I turn on my 'O2 Blue' bluetooth headset (Menu bar - Bluetooth menu - O2 blue - Use headset) the Youtube video and audio freezes. Turn the bluetooth off and it starts up again.
Real Player and QuickTime work as they should. This was done with .avi and .mov files on both.
I tried resetting the PRAM but it didn't help.
    Anyone know what's going on?

I'm having a variation of the same problem. In my case Youtube plays normally through the internal speaker on my MacBook Pro but if I turn on my SoundSticks USB speakers, the YouTube video will pause 2 seconds into playback and not go any further. If I immediately go to the sound control panel and switch the audio out, it starts playing normally.
I've already gone in and removed Flash and re-installed it but there was no change in the symptom.
