Problen in Intialize delta loading...URGENT

Hi to all,
I have an issue of BiW not reconciling to MB51 in R3.
We did an initialise delta for the Inventory Cube on 26-27 July. Since
then it appears that all subsequent delta loads are bringing in some
incorrect data from R3. This only seems to affect Plant ADMN for 35 type P.O.s. where positive values in R3 seem to be arriving in the BiW cube as negatives. This only seems to be happening to a very small percentage, but it is causing us a big problem.
Can you taka a look asap as this is a production issue.
I have, this morning, carried out further reconciliations between MB51 and the Stock/Non Stock Workbook in BiW.
I selected random periods as follows
01.03.2003 - 15.03.2003 plant ADMN £28.961m reconciliation correct.
01.11.2003 - 15.11.2003 plant ADMN ££50.302m reconciliation correct.
01.01.2004 - 15.01.2004 plant ADMN £37.219m reconciliation correct
01.07.2004 - 15.07.2004 plant ADMN £33.603m reconciliation correct.
I have attached a small excel file which shows reconciliations for 2005.
You can see that prior to 26th July 2005 all reconciliations between R3 and BiW are correct.
There are two main concerns.
1) there is no data in BiW for 26th July 2005 for any plant (excl ADMN).R/3 SIDE, MB51 shows £234k. I assume this data is missing as our initialisation load took place 26th-27th July. All delta's since then seem fine. Data reconciles.
2) More alarming is the fact that since the initialisation load, reconciliations for plant ADMN show daily discrepancies. It appears that some 35 P.O.s are having negative values and zero quantities in BiW but positive in MB51. This phenomenon is not constant?
Please tell me steps how to do?

Anyway, the transformation will come after PSA loading only na...While doing delta update , no data is getting loaded to PSA itself.

I have a problem with delta load
We have an IP, which loads data from R/3 system daily, its a delta load to the ODS and it updates to the cube with the selection on Company Codes and 0FISCPER
we are in 3.5 system
For a couple of company codes A & B, the init was done for the period 07.2010 to 12.2099 and after tht the deltas are loaded from 07.2010 till 12.2099 and there's no pblm with tht
Now, there was some updation in R/3 system and the data was maintained for the company codes in A& B for the FISCPER 001.2010 to 006.2010, for which init wasnt maintained...
now how shall we need to load the init in this case? dnt ask me how the postings was done in R/3, but my pblm is purely related to the loading data in BW from R/3, as its very imp for the customer to see the data from 01.2010 to 12.2010 in reports, but the data was only available in reports from 07.2010 onwards
do i need to create another IP and maintain the init for 01.2010 to 06.2010? so tht this selection will automatically appear in the ODS delta loading infopackage

Hi Prince,
No need to maintain any Init for this data, It will be enough if you can load the data from jan 2010 to jun 2010 into your Info Cube.
Follow the below steps:
1)create full load IP for this data source.
2) give the selection as A and B company codes and 0FISCPER as 001.2010 to 006.2010
3) in menu bar, click on scheduler --> select full repair request
4) In the next screen check the check box and save
5) Now execute the IP, it will the data with out disturbing your daily delta.
follow the same procedure to load data till to your Info Cube.

Error in delta load (Urgent)

hello gurus,
i had loaded a delta form inventory(2lis_03_bf) where it got error while loading to 2 data targets,
then i made the traffic singles to red in the monitor screen to do a repeat .
where after doing ,i got problem ..I'M not able to go and start the repeat in InfoPackage
if i try to do the schedule, screen is taken to ABAP run time error.
Plz help ME in high priority
Points are alloted

Delete all the requests from the cube for which the data was not loaded . Try reloading.
Next time, when you get into such problems, instead of mamking the requests to red, just wait for a few minutes for the job to finish and then try to diagnose the problems and you can fix it once and for all.

Initialize Delta Load in Info Package

Hi,
I want to create 2 info packages for my load from datasource.
One with setting " Initialize Delta load with data transfer " in info package for my first load.
Second info package should be with " Delta Lad " which i am not finding in the second info package i am creating. Can you please tell me how can i get this setting as i am getting only Full or Intialize delta load only.

Make sure the following:
1) DataSource is Delta Enabled
2) An Init (or an Early Init) has already been done successfully. You should see the entry in RSA7 of the Source ERP
You should then be able to get the Delta option in the InfoPackage

Urgent: Problems in Delta load

Hi BW Gurus/Experts,
I am new to BW and My requirement is to load deltas from CRM to BW,I have initialized deltas and after some days(appx. around 3days) there was changes in the records so I have created infopackage and tried to load deltas but i cannot do that i donot know what might be the reason when i check in monitor the status of the request is yellow with 0 from 0 records eventhough there are records which i check in RSA7. I have seen some previous posts according to some gurus suggestion I have activated the transfer structure and replicated datasources and loaded deltas again but it didnot helped me.I even tried by init load without data transfer and than i have created another infopackage for delta load that too it didnot helped me. Would anyone please suggest me some of the steps and brief explaination on them I need to follow for the following queries:
1) If I need to load deltas after 4 to 5 days of Init load.
2) If I need to load deltas again after 5 to 6 days of deltas load.
When I load deltas after init or delta load after some days by init load without data transfer and loaded deltas than the status of the request is green in monitor but with 0 from 0 records. would anyone put some light on it. I appreciate it in advance.

Hi AK,
1) As mentioned that you have activiated the transfer structure and replicated data source..I guess it should be other way ..first you have replicate the datasource and activate the transfer structure but though TS gets activate by normal ..Its good if you activate TS through the program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL ..give TS name and activate then try to load the data.
2) There are some possible reasons when IDOC get hangs such as missing free dialog process in the target system
a)IDOC hang in status 64 for tRFC with immediate( Check note:555229)
b)Request hang because IDOCS are not processed (Check note: 561880)
c)RFC resource check returns incorrect result (Check note:311930)
3)Check entries in delta queue (RSA7) see also note 380078.
4)Its also better to use Diagnosis tools delta queue monitor qRFC t.code :SMQ1 in source system see also note 444261.

Missing some master data for delta load( its very urgent please)

I am working master data for delta load,the problem is when ever changes(SO) in r/3 RECORDS for address text,City Dstrct Nm.its not getting loaded into BW.every day some delta records are coming into BW.

Delta loading and Process chain BI

Hi experts,
Two Issues.
1)As i am loading FI data into dso through a process chain which includes Start process>Delta infopackage(which gets data upto psa)>Delta dtp-->Datastore activation.
But infopackage is picking up deltas but DTP is picking up all the previous records plus deltas.
100 records -- 1st day throught Intialization of Delta with Data Transfer
2 delta records -- 2nd day
But DTP is picking up 102 Records on the 2nd Day, which means it is also picking the old records as well.
The DSO must have just 102 records but it is having 202 records.
2) A process chain in running daily as scheduled , but I rescheduled with new scheduling options without deactivating the Process chain.
My Question is
Will the Process chain run for the OLD and the New Schedule or
Is it going to run for new schedule or old one?
or
will I face any Problem because I did not deactivate and made changes to the Change.
Please help me in this matter.

First query:
I believe that u have used FUll update type DTP is instead of the Delta DTP.. Please cross check the Update mode of the DTP once.
To resolve this issue, delete the total content of the DSO as u have Init and delta loads in PSA. And then using the Delta DTP of the Process chain, load the data. It will extract the total cotent what ever is there in PSA, and later the same DTP will act as the Delta type and will pick the data from the New request of the PSA.
Second Query:
Its always suggested to deschedule the process chain before changing the schedule timings. When ever u do this type of scheduling, just check how many number of JObs available in Schedule mode, if u can see more than one, then delete the older one and keep the new one as it is.
But I always suggest you to deschedule the process chain and reschedule PC with the new timings and then activate the same.

We have one ODS having update routines , daily DELTA loads are ruuning in production system.Now we got one requirement like need to develope another ODS with different update routines on the same infosource. is it possible ? if we do means is there any effect for 1st ODS ? please suugest me how to do that ..its in production system ...little bit urgent..

just create another ods2 ,but take the infosource as template and then at the time of update rules ,take again infosource as template.ok.
and then go for creating infopackage and schedule it.
before scheduling check the time of scheduled time for the ods1 as one of our frnds said.
if u want any update routines first do them before scheduling.

Delta loads a problem after client copy

Hi Gurus,
I did a system copy from R/3 Testing system to BW Testing system. After the system copy, the delta loads were working fine but now from yesterday the delta does not get loaded from R/3. When I try to make it red and start it again, it states the last request has not completed the delta load and it requests again. It seems RSINFO idocs need to be generated and sent to BW side but this is not getting generated and the load is still in yellow status. Finally the load also becomes red after the timeout time.
I have checked all the connections, they are working fine. There are no entries in TRFC queue and Partner profile is present and is pointing to the correct destination.
Is there any way to make the delta work again. Please advice as this is urgent and the delta loads are failing.

How were the delta working fine without reinitialization of the deltas after the system copy.
The delta timestamp information is stored in SAP base tables. The system copy not only copies the structure but also the data in those tables, the delta enteries in those tables would be of the system from which you copied. You again need to reinitialize the deltas to correct this.

Manging delta loading in 0FITV_C01

Hi Experts,
I have the following cube implemented: 0FITV_C01, with no DSO in the flow.
I'm interested in managing delta for this infocube, but when i've created the infopackage, only full upadate is allowed (consistent with what i found later online).
So, i'm wondering if the following steps is the best aproach to manage delta.
1) create a flow (3.5): infoprovider in full update mode, and in PSA only mode
2) create a DTP, from datasource to cube, in delta mode. In this case what Infopackage should I have on the DTP "tree" - with what characterisctics. I supose it can't be the same infopackage as mentioned in 1)
3) create process chain with 1) followed by 2)
Q: How would I do the initial loading? Is it like old BW? Meaning, I would first set the DTP to full for first loading, and then change it to delta?
From your experience, is this a good aproach? would you suggest any other thing to load data in delta mode?

Ful load is used to load the data based on the selection conditions from your source to target.
Init is used to enable the delta mechanism for your targets.
It is always recommended to have separate infopackages for
1) Initialization
2) Full Load (Repair Full)
3) Delta Load
Init loads are of two types: With data and without data. Init intializes a pointer or counter in the source which helps to bring only new data from the source, rather than bringing the complete data once again. Now With data transfer brings the first time data as well as sets the counter where as the Without data transfer only sets the counter and no data is transffered.
Another Type is there Repair full Request.
If you are in BW 3.5, then it is not possible to do separate initializations to different targets from a single source.
For ex, you have the data flow from DS1 to 3 targets,
DS1 --> cube1
DS1 --> cube2
DS1 --> cube3
Then when you do Init with data transfer, you have to select all the targets and do it simulataneously.
If you have loaded to only one target, say ODS1 and want to load the same init data with data transfer to other ODS, it will not be possible.

About delta loading for master data attribute

We have a master data attribute loading failed which is a delta loading. I have to fix this problem but I have two questions:
1. how can I find the those delta requests because I need to delete all these failed requests first, am I right ? Master data is not like cube or ods that we can find the requests in Manage, for master data how can we find them ?
2. Could you please let me know the detailed procedures to perform this delta loading again ?

Look.....for master data.....no need to delete request from the target..........just make the status red.......and repeat the load.....But problem is that master data sometimes does'nt support Repeat delta..........if u repeat......then load will again fail with Update mode R.........in that case u hav to do re-init.......
1) delete the init flag.......(In the IP scheduler >> in the top Scheduler tab >> Initialization option for source system)
2) Init with data transfer(if failed load picks some records)..........otherwise .....init without data transfer.....if the last delta failed picking 0 records.......
3) then Delta.......

If you want to check the records daily instead of checking the data in R/3 manually ......
You can try this...
If you have staging DSO(level 1) that means whatever data is in source system load it to Staging DSO without any routines or any modifications.
Now load this DSO data to Cube or DSO(level 2) as per your requirement with routines etc.
Now Staging DSO contains Source system data.
Now the level 2 Cube or DSO contains BW data with some modifications.
Now create a Multiprovider based on level 1 and level 2 data targets.
Now create a report on which keyfigures you want to test the data.
In Multiprovider there is a field called 0infoprovider in data packet dimension.
you can drag this infoprovider to the columns and restict your keyfigures with level 1 and level 2 data targets.
In the first column you can see the level 1 DSO data ( source system data),in the 2nd column you can see the BW data.
Now create a formula which gives the diffrence b/n level 1 and level2.
that is R/3 data - BW data.
If the diffrence is zero both R/3 and BW data are same.
if the diffrence is not eqaul to zero check whether any routine is there or not.

There are 2 DTPS ..
1: DTP with full load
2: DTP with DELTA load ..
what is the diffrence betwen thse two in DTP ...

1: DTP with full load - will update all the requests in PSA/source to the target,
2: DTP with DELTA load - will update only new requests to the datatarget
The system doesnt distinguish new records on the basis of changed records, rather by the request. Thats the reason you have datamart status to indicate if the request has been loaded to further datatargets.

Delta Loads are not working: 0FI_GL_10 With enhancement : HR Data in source

Hello Friends. Thanks for your answer on theory which I know, Please help me with this situation. I read all the sdn response to my message and have below for your suggestion
QUES1: Why the 0RECORDMODE is not coming in Standard DSO and hence it is not there in Transformation in between Infosource and DSO. What do I need to include 0RECORDMODE in standard DSO. What is the correct OSS to Implement on SP 10 to solve this.
Ques2. As suggested by you If I run the Delta loads after waiting for 1 hour of Init load. say init load was done at 11 am . i will do the delta at 12:10 am to psa via Infopack and then wait for an hour to run the DTP from PSA to DSO. Delta Records come in but it also bring in the records in DSO that are not changed from about 7 hours in ECC. and make our total Balance incorrect.
Ques3: We have this Cocatenation of Keys in DSO since we exceeded the total number of 13 key in DSO.
Cocatenation#1 GL ACCT and CHRT OF ACCTS
Cocatenation#1 SEGMENT AND CONT AREA
Cocatenation#1 Version, Value Typem, Valuation view, Currency Type.

Since business want to include HR Data in Keys Like Employee Number, Emp Code, EMPSPIMCODE. Payroll ID and I can not remove these fields from Key in DSO as per the business.
Also the above fields GL ACCT , CHRT OF ACCTS, SEGMENT, CONT AREA
exist in Data FIELDS OF DSO. so what are the steps to modify the design to fix this asap.

Did the full load bring all records from sourcesystem to PSA?
Was this an issue with the first delta you have tested ?
Concatentaion of multiple keys into one should not be an issue here as that must have been happening in DSO and delta brings incorrect records to PSA itself.
Are you validating delta records against FAGLFLEXT inputing the timestamp value or RSA3 ..how ?

Is delta bringing incorrect records to PSA or DTP brings incorrect records to DSO from PSA ?
May be you should revisit the logic behind for the enhancement of 0FI_GL_10.
I am facing a similar issue as well but here delta doesnot even bring a single record ( ODS has 20 keys )...will update if resolves and you do the same.

Error in delta loading from a planning cube

hi all,
I am using a delta load from one planning cube to another.When the changed records are of a magnitude of 100 then it is successful but when the records are of magnitude of 100000 then it stays yellow with no data records sent and eventually fails.the packet size is 20000.
any help is appreciated.

Have you checked that your Request is closed in the planning cube? FM RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST will do it
It is a customizing issue to tell the infopackage to end "green" when it has no data.
Transaction Spro ==> SAP Netweaver ==> SAP Business Information Warehouse ==> Automated Processes ==> Monitor Settings ==> Set Traffic Light Color. There you have to set the Traffic light on green if no data is available in the system.
