Thanks for the confirmation. I ended up removing the PCI card and uninstalling the driver.
I am now running the drive from the USB 2.0 port on the computer. Lacie never owned up to
the fact that the PCI express card and USB 3.0 are not "safely" functional on Mac Pro with Lion.
I am testing the system, only time will tell.

In addition to what @visruth has written, you can also try to download Speccy - http://www.piriform.com/speccy
This is free software for system information and it can show/measure the temperature of some of the computer components.
In my opinion your problem looks like overheating issue. When the computer's fan is not working, it overheats (especially if the CPU/HDD are overloaded with some tasks) and stops working (powers down unexpectedly with no messages) to prevent damage. If this is the case, it would be good to monitor the temperature.
If this is the case, authorized HP Support Center should be able to help you fix this. If you are not sure where such is located, you can contact the nearest HP contact -> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

If you are now in the US then you can only use the US store, so you should update the address on your account
Changing country : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account.
Had you copied the songs over to your computer's iTunes library, do they show in the Music section on it ? You can copy purchases that you still have on your iPad over to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option

ProBook 4420s won't read DVDs, probable cause: BIOS upgrade (09-09-2011 F20). Audio CDs OK.

Hi, everybody.
ProBook 4420s is not recognizing DVD media. Drive is HP CDDVDW TS-L633N.
Recently ran HP Support Assistant to install most recent updates, and suspect the BIOS upgrade may be the cause. Now at version 68AHH F.20 09/09/2011.
It's not an operating system issue, for it no longer boots from bootable DVDs either.
Audio CDs are propperly recognized.
Running Windows 7 x64 w/SP1 + latest updates.
If not BIOS, I would suspect a hardware failure affecting the "DVD-related" components of the drive.
Please advice.

As long as you have the recovery discs, there will not be a problem putting the original operating system back on the unit.

HP ProBook 4420S decryption

My ProBook 4420S is crashed , It was preinstalled Hp protect tools full disk encryption ( safeboot). I want to extract data from the same. I need help for the same
1) I have created image of hard disk & tried safetech to decrypt. I could authorise using SBFS ,however safetech asks to authorise first. Where can I get authorization code? Macfee does not support this product. I am unable to get any help from local HP service center. Can someone give me link to download wintech iso?
Can I install HP Protect tools security Manager suite on another hard disk and connect crashed hard disk through USB ? Is it possible to disable encryption using this method?

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.
Even though this is a Commercial product, you could check it enable biometric support in this document.
If that does not help I would suggest to uninstall HP SimplePass and reinstalled the latest version for Windows 8.1.

I purchase all my music from phone. They dont show up on phone purchased list unless I manually sync. And then all dont show up. Computer shows them on phone. When I look at phone, they are missing.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

iOS devices can only print directly to AirPrint printers. All AirPrint printers are wireless but not all wireless printers are capable of using AirPrint.
To print directly from an iPad / iPhone you will need an AirPrint compatible printer or another device to act as a print server. That can be a Mac computer running Printopia ($19.95 with free trial) or handyPrint (donation - supported). The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. Equivalent PC options may exist but you're on your own finding them.

Wireless Signal Comes And Goes

I have T40p laptop and i'm having trouble keeping a steady wireless signal, it comes and goes. It will connect to my router for a minute then it goes away. Then it comes back, then it goes away this is beyond frustrating. When i use my high speed cable thats connected to my router my laptop works fine. I've downloaded 3 different drivers from the Lenovo site, these are drivers that a person on the phone told me to download. Is this a hardware or a software issue? Can someone please, please help??

You may want to change the channel that the router is broadcasting with. I was originally broadcasting with channel 2 on my router (Linksys WRT54GL with latest DDWRT firmware) but I was getting sporadic drop outs with my X60s, the wife's Acer, my T61 and the mediacenter PC in the living room. I was a bit confused and thought it might have been driver related but the problem seems to have just appeared out of nowhere and it affected both my XP and Vista PC's. How could it affect all my computers if I have turned off auto update and have not installed anything new for quite some time?
I did a refresh of the wireless networks and found that since I last checked, there are a few more routers in my vacinity so I thought that they could be all interfering with one another and broadcasting on almost the same default frequency. I started with channel 1 and finally worked my way up to channel 4 and none of my computers has dropped out for over a day now. When the dropouts occurred, they would happen every 3 to 5 minutes, which was very annoying to say the least.

My ipod is frozen and when i turn it on it says ipod is disabled connct to itunes but when i do connect it it wont read it because it says that i must enter my password on my ipod first but the numbers dont come up to unlock it. how do i remove this ??

SRST router reboot - T1s dont come back up

Have anybody experienced this ? I have tried two different IOSes and behaves the same. On 12.4.9T1 and 12.4.9T, once the router fails over to SRST, phones register, mgcp fallsback to h323 mode, you can receive calls in and out just fine. Once you reboot the router, the t1s wont come back up any more. They remain in TEI_ASSIGNED state, until you restore wan back to normal and mgcp is up and registered with Callmanager. If you failover the box now, it will go back to SRST mode with the t1s working just fine. This problem seem to exist only after a reboot of the router after it has failed over to SRST mode.

I have had a similar problem. If you no mgcp/ mgcp you should get them back too---but Cisco has yet to have a good answer to why MGCP is hanging after the failover. I presume that the gateway gets back up and registered; but l3 never goes into Multiple_frames_established; right?
Also check your "inhibit restarts at PRI intiialization" in the GW config and make sure it is not checked.
