Probook 4530s

Hi all
I am using HP pro book 4530s with win 7 64 bit
serial
i have broken the c partion into two partion C and D
now i want to revert my laptop to factory default using hp recovery partition. but i am getting error after pressing f11
"the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible"
i have used the patch of sp48415

Hi:
If you changed the drive letter of the recovery partition from its original (it sounds like you did), the recovery manager can't find the recovery partition as it is looking for it on drive D:\.
So, back up your files and change the drive letter of your current D:\ drive to something else down the line and change your recovery partititon drive letter back to D:\.
Re-do the F11 after you complete this task.

  • HP ProBook 4530s won't power up

Hi, When I power up the HP ProBook 4530s the power button lights up but the display doesn't come on. It stays that way untilI power the notebook down (nothing is displayed whatover).  The battery is in useless condition and the notebook runs on AC power only. Recently (two weeks before the post) I received the error "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded” error message in Windows 7 and fixed it by booting the computer in safe mode and fixing the registry entries. I can see that the USB port receives power and both the cooling fans (internal and external) are functioning when I power up. Would be deeply gratified if you can help me sort this out. Thanks,Rajasekar Vijayaraghavan

  • Screen does not turn on after sleep - ProBook 4530s - Windows 8.1 (64bit)

    Hi everyone,
Not sure if this had to be posted in notebook display and video section, or laptop lockups, freezes and hangs. Anyway, I have a problem, where everything is fine with the computer, it's running smoothly, but whenever I make it go to sleep, after it does it instantly, the signals are of a regular laptop sleep - power buton flashing, no other signs of computer being on.
However, the problem appears when turning the computer back on after sleep. After pressing the power button, the computer straight away starts working - you can hear the fan turned on, etc, just that pretty much nothing changes with the screen. Sometimes, with some particular light directed towards the screen, you can even see, that the computer is on (seeing the clock on the display), just like the brightness was set down to 2% or something. And there is nothing that helps from what I have tried to do (tried reinstalling both AMD drivers and Intel HD drivers). I researched this problem extensively but could not find a solution, however, as I have noticed that this is quite an old problem (assuming from the date of the posts this problem first showed up), there might be a solution for it, to which I just have not noticed the answer?
If anyone can help me, please do, the sleep function is essential and extra important function when living on campus at university, I just cannot operate like this.
Hopefully someone will know, thank you in advance.

Mouse PAD configs ............Synaptics luxpad v7.5,,,,,,,,and........Synaptics luxpad buttons v7.5

Everytime I plug in the charger, the mouspad starts hanging................What is that........???? Sometimes it stops working at all..............One thing to note is that right and left click buttons are working fine.........
    Any suggestions......???

By hanging do you mean it just gets very slow to respond? This only happens when you plug in the charger? I would make sure all your drivers are up to date. Do this happen when the computer is running off battery?
    Thanks

  • Recovery Disc & new ProBook 4530s

How do I create a recovery disc for a new ProBook 4530s with Windows 7?  I can't find Recovery Manager software on the pc and the pc didn't ask me if I wanted to create a recovery disc.

    Hi:
    I don't think you can create a recovery disk on a 4530s.
It should have a recovery partition which you can use to restore the PC by striking the F11 key at the splash screen and launching the recovery process.  Of course a recovery partition is useless if the hard drive dies, or you want to install a new HDD.
You can order a quick restore disk set, which I always do for all my HP business PC's and notebooks for $10, if you live in the USA or Canada. If you don't live in the USA or Canada, skip to the bottom of my post for instructions to order.
    Here's how:
    1. Write down the part number and serial # on the bottom of the computer on the white tag. The model # is an HP-Compaq 4530s, but the part number will be found on that white tag below the serial #.
    2. Call HP at 1-800-952-7689, option 1 (ordering restore disks is part of the list in the option).
    3. Provide the info asked by the rep that answers the phone. Some just ask for the serial #, some want both, or they will just want the serial number and type of computer (4530s).
    4. Have a Master Card or Visa ready for purchasing. You will be charged $10.00.
You will receive the disks by First Class Mail or you can pay an additional $10.00 for FedEx shipping.
If you don't live in the USA or Canada, contact HP Support by telephone for the country you live in at the link below.  If they have a separate number for business PC's/notebooks, call that number. You will need to provide the customer services rep the same info as above (model and serial #).
Costs range from free to more than $10 depending on where you live.

I have tried several times to install win, vga latest update, install all drivers but still above. ask how to fix how, I would like to thank

    Hello @pio4791 ,
To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.
Even though this is a Commercial product, here is a link to your drivers from your product page for Windows 7. I would uninstall the Video drivers from your device manager.  All of the drivers and software.  Restart the notebook and check the device manager. If the video drivers are installed not further action is needed.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers that need updating.
    Thanks.

  • Virtualization support in HP Probook 4530s

    Bonjour,
I have HP Probook 4530s. I am using VirtualBoxPro on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I wanted to use acceleration support in a virtual machine in VirtualBoxPro but the acceleration tab was disabled in the software. I went through many forums and found that accleleration and virtualization have to be enabled from the  BIOS. But virtualization support is also disabled in the BIOS.
How can i enable it in the BIOS coz all my work is dependent on the virtualization support.
    Kind Regards
    Scott Thomas

What processor do you have? I am pretty sure the system can do hardware virtualization, but only if you have a processor capable of it, and not all of them are.

  • Igdpmd64.sys BSOD on HP ProBook 4530s Windows 7 64-bit

I used my HP ProBook 4530s with Windows 7 64-bit and Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) installed since 2011 with no issues.
Recently I updated Windows to SP1 and IE10. All works well except one thing.
When I run IE10, open few tabs and hoover my mouse over IE10 icon so that it shows the half-transparent small windows my PC crashes.
It shows blue screen with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA message caused by igdpmd64.sys driver.
    1) I found at HP forum the post "igdpmd64.sys BSOD on HP Envy14t".
I followed the recommendation to uninstall KB2670838.
However after rebooting PC the IE10 disappeared and IE8 came back to life.
I updated then Windows trying to block the KB2670838 installation but it was impossible since KB2670838 was not shown at the list but somehow "installed in the background".
So I was back to the point "all works well except one thing".
    2) I found another forum post which recommended to upgrade the igdpmd64.sys driver.

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".
I called HP support who advised to install the previous version of the driver.
I did it but received the same message (2a)
I called HP support again who advised to install the driver from the Intel page.
    3) I went to: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel%c2%ae+Q45+Express+Chipset

  • HP Probook 4530s performance issues

    Hello,
I bought a brand new Probook 4530s from a local dealer two days ago.
The specs of the laptop are available via the following page: http://www.1a.ee/print/?id=12973969&leasing_first_pmt=0&leasing_term=12
The system had preinstalled SUSE Linux 11 due to which I formatted the drive and installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. The issue that I have is to do with the fact that the computer is dead slow and it seems not to be charging. It does say charging and the led light on the left side is on, but no actual charging takes place (maybe 1% per hour).
In my opinion it does have something to do with the optimization of the i5 2450m processor. The processor scored a miserable 3.8 in the Windows Experience Index test.
Maybe it does have something to do with drivers or the lack thereof but I didn´t find anything besides the ones provided at HP´s page located at: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5060882&...
Any thoughts on how to make my laptop run like it should?

Hello, I'm new in this forum because I didn't had this kind of problem before. I have an Hp probook 4530s I5 with 64bit windows 7 pro I read every post about this problem but nothing solved my problem. I dont have a sound on my laptop, sometimes it comes but only few seconds than it dissapears, but when I lsiten to something sound doesnt come from speakers but in the corner of speakers options it shows that sound is coming. nothing helped only one thing is helping: when I plug headphone in my laptop sound comes out of speakers and headphones too, but it's difficult to be like this I can't use my headphones. I tried everything and please help me it happend when I updated bios but my friends have this same problem with this laptop

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59001-59500/sp59291.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52001-52500/sp52145.exe
When the reinstallation has completed, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' ( or Speakers/HP ) once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.
