Probook 650 g2 - Lost Ethernet adapter after updates

I ran Windows Update and also ran the Support Assistant recommended updates, which included a BIOS update. After restarting, all I have are Bluetooth and wireless network adapters, my Realtek Ethernet adapter is nowhere to be found in Windows. It is turned on in BIOS. I reinstalled the sp65789 driver, but this had no effect.
When I plug an ethernet cable into the adapter, I get no lights.

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.
Even though this is a Commercial product, here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase or that need updating including the Ethernet drivers for your system and Windows 7.
You could also use the HP Drivers and download pages.

What do you mean by "updating"? If you mean "updating the software", the answer is no. If you mean buying a newer iPhone, the answer dpends upon which newer model you bought.

It sounds like you are trying to find the Personal Hotspot option in your Settings. You were close. The option is directly under Settings, and not in the Cellular section of Settings:
Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot

No problems here but you can re download the FB app from the App Store right on your iPhone.

Macbook Pro Late 2011 not recognising Ethernet Adapter after upgrade to Mavericks

I updated from Mountain Lion to Mavericks (I deleted all the files and made a fresh install), but since then my Ethernet adapter stoped working! when i see the system report i find this information
i've tried reseting PRAM and others and didn't result in anything
when i go Networking Settings i don't find anything related to Ethernet Adapter

Ok. Thought I would check just in case.
We could try to remove the System Configuration which includes lots of setting files that relate to networking.
If you want to do this then go to Macintosh HD>Library>Preferences and there will be a folder at the bottom called System Configuration. If you delete this, (type in your password to confirm your sure you know what you're doing) and then you need to restart the machine.
The reason for the restart is that when your machine starts back up it looks for the system configuration and because it isn't in folder we just deleted it from, your Mac creates a new copy of it.
Give this a go and let me know.

Firefox reverts to older version on own. Now cannot re-install lost plugs even after updated rev.

Over time (months usually) firefox seems to revert to an earlier version that I was using, customization would be lost. This last instance, I lost plug ins and cannot get them to re-install though the process works as it always used to. I even tried re-installation after updating to the latest rev of firefox. I like Adblock and Noscript, but they will not re-install.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems, make sure that the window is not maximized:

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

Restore the backup that you made when you last synced your phone to iTunes on your computer. Alternatively, if you enabled iCloud backup on the phone, you can restore from the latest iCloud backup by going to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings.

or check if there's any left on your sim card (settings > mail, contacts,... > import from sim card)

Apple USB Ethernet Adapter after reboot

Hello everyone,
We have a group of 3 or 4 MBAs that are showing this same issue. Whenever we reboot we need to unplug and then replug in the ethernet adapter in order for it to connect to the network. This same problem is seen regardless of the adapter being plugged directly into the computer or through a USB hub.
It also happens when we "undock" and then dock back in from the USB hub.
Has anyone else see this issue? Have you found a solution?

Yes, Yes and NO!
What's worse is sometimes you get full 100Meg/Full Duplex and even Bonjour services, then for no reason it connects at 10base half duplex and NO BONJOUR.
I'm convinced it's the USB-Ethernet adaptor, as I get the same problem using it with a MacBook Pro, at first it works great, then you restart and it looses Bonjour and sometimes you can see all the Bonjour enabled devices drop off the Shared list in the Finder.
I've had this problem ever since I started using the MB AIr (Late 2010) model.
I don't think Apple are bothered about fixing the problem, as they seem to assume all MB Air users are on Wireless (which also has it's problems)
It remains to be seen if Lion fixes it or they just give up and go to ThunderBolt on the next generation MB Airs with a suitable Gigabit adaptor.

Lost my movies after update 3.0...

After updating to 3.0, it deleted all my movies. I only had half backed up. How can I retrieve the rest of my movies??? If I can't, will Apple refund the movies I bought? I have all the receipts saved on my computer. I know its my fault for not backing up the rest but, ***? What kinda update erases your movies???
P.S. I upgraded to 3.1 post losing all my movies to see if they would appear… they didn't :'(

I have the same. All my content got erased. I didn't sync it, because my main computer is a macbook pro with a 256ssd, (and before an 160hdd) so didn't want my hard drive to be filled with movies. But now the appletv is empty, I installed 3.0.1 as per apples suggestion, but no content to be found. Will the issue the ability to re-download? If I take my car to the garage for new oil, and they mess up the seats, they're going to give me new seats. I wonder why the software business is allowed to make costly mistakes? I know this is a hobby for apple, but this is ridiculous.
